@SR050321What is bank for, is bank important in our daily life ? my answer is yes 😊 The history of banking began with the first prototype banks which were the merchants of the world, who gave grain loans to farmers and traders who carried goods between cities around 2000 BCE. During the 20th century, developments in telecommunications and computing caused major changes to banks' operations and let banks dramatically increase in size and geographic spread. The financial crisis of 2007–2008 caused many bank failures, including some of the world's largest banks, and provoked much debate about bank regulation. Source: Wikipedia If you think that bank can earn from your money, why not we invest in the bank which already proven can generate income and give you income (dividend) in return. There are only 3 banks in Singapore, in the past i only want $OVERSEA-CHINESE BANKING CORP(O39.SI)$because the cheapest, easier for me to DCA, but after i studied more, actually $UNITED OVERSEAS BANK LIMITED(U11.SI)$and $DBS GROUP HOLDINGS LTD(D05.SI)$worth buying too. I wud consider them as part of my portfolio. Don't put all in one nest, do your own analysis [Cool] my Comparison = OCBC / UOB / DBS Dividend 2021 = $40.90 / $99 / $102 Dividend 2022 = $28 / $60 / $36 (per year ocbc uob dividend 2x, dbs 3-4x) Refer to dividends.sg P/B ratio = 1.05 / 1.32 / 1.60 P/E ratio = 11.5 / 13.3 / 13.6 EPS = 1.07 / 2.38 / 2.61 My summary: OCBC dividend yield higher, UOB this year dividend seems increase, while DBS not sure will increase dividend or not from last year but it can generate earning per share (EPS) higher among the 3 and UOB look promising too 😊 Happy investing [Smile] @TigerStars
