I am a follower of EV and related technology. Battery 🔋 naturally comes to mind given its importance to EV.

QuantumScape is an innovator, meaning it is standing at the forefront of technology. Two things come to mind, 1) success will open up for more success, especially with its first mover advantage. 2) failure is also a realistic idea.

Solid state battery is not a new concept. The benefits of solid state battery are also well known. It is perhaps not a question of if, rather when this would be achieved. If it takes too long, opportunity for the company is lost. Cost control in this inflationary environment is also crucial.

I have a small position in the company, but perhaps with a relatively high entry price. I am willing to take a bet of this technology taking off, however this might not translate into meaningful winning for me at the end of the day. Just a mean to keep me posted about its progress.
