I began trading options last month on 16 Feb 22 selling $Pfizer(PFE)$Puts. I had to pay 13usd school fee [see TOP5 of Loss] for not knowing how it works, which button to press and confusion about selling first (collect premium) then buying the Puts.

When I figure out how to sell Puts and lesson learn, I started to be more adventurous and managed to have profits selling other Puts [see TOP5 of Profits] of several hundred over the past 5 weeks. Pleasantly surprised that Rate of Return outperformed NASDAQ with winning rate of 35%. [Grin]

Maybe it's just beginner's luck ba.

How long did you prepare before starting to trade options?

  I read ebooks and watched YouTube videos for a month or so before starting. Also watched SMARTT Tiger Live/Tiger Brokers by Jose Blasco sessions (available live in app and Live/recording in Youtube).

I think you should still be careful.

  There are still much to learn, for example the Greeks, IV, and different (combi) strategies- idk about (excess/overnight) margins' calculation (to avoid margin call)
