I don't think Russia will back down anytime soon, or rather its President is determined to take over Ukraine no matter what scantions the world impose of them. Russia is a big self-sustainable country, its got oil, argiculture, metals, energy. The inflations of these scantions will weigh more heavily on countries that depends Russia on those.
