    The only competitive advantage that we had then was by shortening the time required to list their companies, usually within 6 mths, & this came at a cost in which many investors suffered ultimately.

    You have too much trust in SGX. Hyflux was also in SGX.

      HyFlux dId well when first joininG Sgx but when it grew too big greed n mismanagement came into play Lesson learnt

    I remember when i was originating deals from some of the china co., the mgt of these companies knew that the valuation of their shares would be worse off if they choose to list in SG compared to HK.

    But yes, mismanagement was one of the key reason for its failure. Not that it was greedy, but more of a business decision when they decided to deviate away from their core competency.

    I was an investment banker back in the 2000s. And sadly, i was bookrunning for hyflux back then as well. Those days when the company IPOed, it was pretty fine.
