Fed hiked interest rate by 75 basis point on Wed within analysts' expectations so US market up,but immediately the next day sunk heavily in deep red last night. SG market, on the otherhand, up also up a bit, down also down a bit, relatively resilient. Would you play US market akin to riding roller coaster or ride the merry-go-round SG market? Separately on serious note, I am not in favour of unrelentless interest hikes. It will drive up business costs amid the current high inflation and everything cost more environment, when salary does not increase intandem[Sad]  Businesses with heavy borrowing will pass on to consumers. Those with housing and car loans especially residential housingnot for investment will be pained further. Those who has retired might feel the need to go back to employment. Overall I am not in favour of continuous interest hike especially since it looks like a fruitless attempt by Fed to tame theincreasing inflation. What's your take? Do share[Helpless]

The hope is that higher interest rates will keep inflation under control.

I hope everyone will stay calm and not push the market into a Great Depression like what happen so long ago.

At this moment, I prefer the relatively stable Singapore market.
