Gelsinger said demand for semiconductors would continue to expand as chips have become essential in almost every product. Wall St. nay sayers complained about the economy and said Intel would have too much idle capacity. Now TSMC announces that it expects sales to rise 30% despite global economic malaise. Gelsinger was correct on semiconductor growth.

Moreover, today Congress holds a classified briefing with Intel's Gelsinger and Pentagon officials to explain the importance of having domestic semiconductor supply to the nation's national security and to pass the $52 billion CHIPS Act specifically to support Gelsinger's vision of restoring semi manufacturing to U.S. shores.$Intel(INTC)$
