I chose Tiger because it's one of the available S'pore legalised platform which allows me to trade globally. It allows me to trade worry-free without the need to worry it'll go bust one day just like that. The 1st post I made was about the reason why I prefer ETFs over stocks. The 1st stock I traded using Tiger Broker was an ETF named KWEB. It's been a less than pleasant experience holding it since then but it has slightly changed for the better recently, and hopefully lesser delisting fears will occur in the near future.
