And there we go. Elon Musk is trying to wriggle out of the Twitter deal (more likely to not buy, less likely to try to get a better price). He is trying to come up with excuses (he needs more internal data becausehe claims there are more bots then was reported) so he can avoid paying the penalty fee of 1 billion dollars. And honestly, we all know it is chump change to him, if he had forfeit that sum it would be nothing go him. BUT all this charade, points to one thing: people like Mr. Musk are not your friends, they are out to line their pockets. He wanted the fame, the exposure, the spotlight, he wanted to flex his wealth, now Twitter (and Musk's Tesla) might be in for some turbulence.
Do not pity Twitter though, for another wealthy man, Jack Dorsey, who was looking to pocket almost 1 billion dollars if the Twitter sales went through, is probably cursing his luck, and that sum is peanuts to him too. Twitter also enjoyed its moment under the sun, Mr. Musk and the 44 billion valuation made them look way more valuable then they actually are.
People like Mr. Musk (and Mr. Dorsey) are busy trying to fatten their wallets while the common folk struggle with inflation and all other problems in life. There is no need to idolise them. Invest carefully, take care of yourself.
Stay safe out there.
