How much can Nasdaq falls? Let's approach this question with some historical numbers. We have more than 10 Nasdaq crashes and with 2000 and 2008 as the major crash which results in Nasday losing more than 70+% and 50+% respectively. All other crashes are around 20-30% region. So will this crash be just another minor crash or will it be real bad like 2000/2008? Let's look at more numbers. Nasdaq had a good run up of more than 1000% since 2011. Currently, Nasdaq PE is around 20. During 2008 crash, it fell to around 13. So based on these 2 numbers, it look like Nasdaq can afford to fall even more. It might not be as deep but at least do standby for another 30-40% drop from 11,000 as worst case scenario. Personally do not think it will go so deep but 8000-9000 region is very possible.
