$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$Some things to keep In mind with the Karpathy news…

1. Hes been gone for almost 5 months. Betas progress has been huge in that time. No point in arguing this.

2. He’s not an AI messiah. He’s incredibly talented but FSD Beta is not solely on karpathys shoulders. It’s had an amazing team working together on this, with Karpathy as a great team lead.

3. Laying off a big chunk of the FSD team and closing the San Mateo office is not a negative. The entire goal of Teslas AI is to not need human input. That’s true in our cars, and behind the scenes. They don’t need labelers anymore. They need the neural net processing things 24/7/365 to improve. They achieved a level of processing where that many staff aren’t needed. All they need to do is tell the network what to do and give it time.

None of this is a negative, it was bound to happen. Karpathy was an incredible influence, but nothings slowing down.
