Books worth reading once are worth reading twice; and what is most important of all, the masterpieces of literature are worth reading a thousand times.
When it comes to reading a book again and again and getting more inspired every time only one name rings in my head, The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.
If you want to set some principles for leading a life free from greed and fear, a life full of patience, hope and success then do read this novel. The main protagonist Mr. Howard Roark is the character whose personality, struggle and trait of sticking to principles will mesmerize you.
This is one story which shows what no matter what the circumstances are, success can never allude you if you are firm on your stance. A story which is against herd mentality. A person should have a distinct and clear stand, should never compromise on his ideals, should never cheat and should be an EGOTIST not a SECOND-HANDER as told by Ayn Rand.
On the road several obstacles may come. Financial problems, joblessness, loved ones leaving you, you being cheated at work and many more. But Mr. Roark held on patiently and ultimately success came flying to him.
The way the description of character, his struggle and his thoughts has been done in the novel makes the reader want to keep reading. This is one novel which I have read time and again and every time I have just got more inspired by Mr. Roark.
After all there is no fun of reading if it doesn’t inspire you and make you learn something about life.
The Bhagavad Gita.
This should be read a million times. This is so because of Krishna.
Krishna of Mathura is the rarest of the rare. The being who not only touched divinity but also lived life to the fullest.
None in history could embrace all the contradictions and the whirlwinds of life and still stay like a lotus in the pond.
One should learn the art of detached life from Krishna, the man who broke the triangle of time, space and age.
Krishna will always be the man of the future and the wisdom of the Gita is timeless if you can perceive it.
The song of the flute and dance of life as shown by Gita should be read by all regardless of religious affiliations.
