There, he shared that the automaker would not be prioritizing new models in 2022. Instead, Tesla would focus on scaling production of its current lineup. This decision stems, at least partially, from ongoing global supply chain issues.</p><p>While Sacconaghi sees the decision to not prioritize a $25,000 car before 2025 as a problem, Musk’s decision exemplifies what investors should like about Tesla. The EV maker made it through 2021 despite supply chain challenges, still posting record deliveries for Q4. When consumers shop for electric vehicles, Tesla is still the first name they think of.
