The name Tesla is synonymous with Electric Vehicle (EV). Ellon selling of 6.9b of Tesla has no bearing on TSLA’s performance or it does not signal that he is downsizing his interest in TSLA. Infact he has in the past sold some of his interest in TSLA with same speculations that is done to finance his Twitter’s purchase. Notwithstanding I will still buy & hold Tesla for the long term as EVs are the only vehicles that will dominate the road going forward into the 2030s. Infact Biden administration is supportive of the new clean bill & the inflation reduction Act in particular that has just been passed, if approved will accord Tesla with tax credit beyond the sales of 200k EVs. Also we know that interests in EVs charging has been ramped up with names like charge point holdings, beam , EVgo & blink to name a few in support of the imminent increase in EV population. Even the oil companies are joining the race to have a share in this EV charging. Tesla however is not dependent on charging system provided by others as they have their own charging facility. Infact it was reported that Ellon has entered into an agreement with Indonesia to purchase 5 billion of nickel over the next 5 years for his EV battery. I can see that with these efforts Tesla is not dependent on others for the supply of raw material or charging facility.

There are critics that argue that Tesla will not be able to meet delivery of EVs because of supply chain problems, but these are not unique to Tesla & hopefully is temporary. Musk has also ramped up production with the opening of his giga production facility in Berlin.

With all these efforts & that we know by 2030 all gasoline cars will be phased out in US, the demand for Tesla can only increase being the leader in the EV industry. To the moon Tesla…
