80 tons of lychees. This was the amount of lychees we helped Vietnamese farmers sell on the Grab platform, when supply chains were hit badly during the pandemic. Fruit that would otherwise have rotted in waste. This was only possible thanks to the Vietnam government's support for MSMEs, and in this case the agriculture industry, to use digital services.
Grab CEO was glad to have the privilege of meeting in person with Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Minh Khai, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MOA) Le Minh Hoan, and Minister of Planning and Investment (MPI) Nguyen Chi Dzung, to thank them for their partnership and discuss opportunities to contribute to Vietnam's digital economy. MOA Hoan presented GRAB CEO with a scarf from his hometown as an appreciation of Grab’s support to the agricultural sector, and he wore it with pride to the rest of his meetings with DPM Khai and MPI Dzung! Grab look forward to more collaborations to help drive digital transformation in Vietnam
