A 100 percent basis point might be too drastic for the Feds to take. I'm thinking along that this and the next FOMC to walk the 75 basis point tight line unless inflation would relent and slow down. Weakness in the economy might be something the Feds are willing to take in their stride for the purpose of inflation control? When you jar it, the numbers will come down but albeit at what cost to the world.
