$Alphabet(GOOG)$vs $Microsoft(

I know this is not a fair comparison putting this two stocks together. What they have in common are they are both heavily weighted in many major indexes such as QQQ and S&p500 ETF and have grew a lot for the past 5Yrs. They have both evolved into two of the most prominent cloud stocks.

Microsoft has outperformed Alphabet over the last five years due to the huge underperform from Alphabet share price recently

Asking me to make a guess, I would still think Microsoft has the edge in terms of economic moat due to its heavily entrenched software into its consumers ; while Alphabet hasthe higher potential to grow due to its establishment in Search engine and cloud computing.

In this unpredictable, I would go for the former- software behemoth Microsoft .
