I think as a small retail investor, it's almost impossible to time or gauge where the market is going,  especially in a volatile market like this. Its already very difficult in a normal market as small retail investors simply do not have access to efficient market information. Can't even afford to pay for real time stock price. If one has excess cash for investment, probably should stick to blue chip companies with solid business and hope for the best. Don't invest money you can't afford to lose.
