$Intel(INTC)$   Yeah but to be fair you probably can’t see much of anything…aside from your intrinsic, self serving AMD Fanny bias you’re probably not looking very hard so that you can reinforce said bias!

Anne Kelleher, speaking recently not only reaffirmed Intel to be on track but ahead of schedule for their 18A which is a fulcrum process for Intel. 18A and Intel’s ribbon-FET will dominate anything TSMC can muster. Not only is Intel beating TSMC to the angstrom level process via utility and their partnership with ASML (EUV) but TSMC won’t even have their version of GAAT-FET until 2025. Furthermore Intel’s version of GAAT which arrives with 20A will eventually support patented 3D transistor geometry - sad copycat TSMC has no analogue!

Oh and I shouldn’t forget…the rumor is that TSMC is slipping on their 3nm and beyond!

Finally, as the angstrom era is ushered in process leaps will slow even further eroding what little advantage TSMC has gained, and briefly held for the last 4 years.

Summary:

Intel 4 which bests TSMC 5 is in prosecution now.

Intel 3 which beats TSMC 3: is readying producing and will be in production earlier than anticipate in 2023.

Intel 20A is on track to arrive slightly early in early 2024 late 2023.

Intel 18A is arriving early - TSMC has no counter!

AMD and TSMC will likely fall behind…significantly!
