Market was broadly positive yesterday except for one particular popular stock, TESLA.

Many argued Tesla might face demand slowdown in China or a drop in Tesla brand automobile approval ratings or the recent recalls of Tesla vehicles due to a seat belt issue.

I think the main problem why Tesla is performing so poorly compared to the broader market oils down to ELON MUSK.

The issue with Elon

After taking over Twitter, Elon Musk has been very loud and provocating on the platform. With the release of 'Twitter files' openly challenging sensitive issues and having a foot in politics does no good TESLA when you are still the CEO. 

Shareholders will no doubt question your priorities and your decision because no shareholders will want their CEO as influential as ELON to be intertwined with politics especially in America where the country is very politically divided. 

Unhappy Tesla shareholders 

Many shareholders has voiced out their concern or even anger directed at Elon Musk in hopes of getting him to focus on TESLA again, especially when the stock price had fallen 50% this year.

Who's side are you on? 

I guess it depends on whether you are a tesla shareholder or not. But we can definitely see the direct impact his involvement in politics is hurting Tesla share price.
