For a company that trades below its cash balance; what stops someone from buying the company and then liquidating and making a sweet profit? Presumably the companies board would ask for a hefty premium before authorising a theoretical sale?

Btw not saying either of these are going to be acquired. Just curious to know how/why no one has gotten 1 dollar for 30 cents lol.
