The $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ was up 2.6% as of Thursday's close, recovering from the sell-off for the month. As of Wednesday's close, the index was heading into its worst December since the index was created in 1971.

The Worst December Ever?

It is a brutal year for US tech stocks. If $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ falls 1.2% on Friday, the index will have its worst December in its history.

But there is still a glimmer of hope that it can avoid the worst December on record.

Nasdaq Rebound on Thursday Because of Jobless Claim Data

On Thursday, the number of jobless claims in the US was released, which rose slightly last week. It was in line with market expectations.

This result somewhat eased market concerns that the US job market was too hot. If the job market continues to be hot, this trend will support the Fed to take a more aggressive monetary policy to suppress the hot job market.

The rebound is a relatively optimistic development for investors who are long on technology stocks. That hasn't brought much relief, however, as the index has fallen 8.6% so far this month and remains on track for its worst December since the 2018 plunge.

    My last trade for 2022 is $Apple(AAPL)$ [Cool] An apple a day keeps the dr away. But in my case, an apple a day keeps me happy as i know i am buying a massively undervalued stock, with a huge upside in place. The EV/EBIT of 17.53. With an ROE of 160%, the EV/EBIT/ROE is 10.9. This is amazing considering how many raving fans this company has, its amazing culture and fantastic outlook. Looking forward to growing my apple garden in 2023. [Grin]

    $HUTCHISON PORT HLDGS TRUST S$(P7VU.SI)$  This is the last trade, which I use tiger voucher( exchanges from coins). Most of my trading is not making profits and I start to lose patience. I decided to slow down and roam around the posts and articles to see others how they deal with problems and how to invest stocks.

    My last trade for year 2022 was  $MAPLETREE INDUSTRIAL TRUST(ME8U.SI)$.  Reit counters have been on the down side in Year 2022 due to interest rate hike and this could pose an opportunity to buy in gor long term investment.
