Taiwan makes 70% of the world semi conductors. What do you think will happen to prices of appliances, cars and cell phones if china invades? Intel and other fabs won’t be able to ramp up production from Taiwans losses until 15+ years. It’s taking intel 3-4 years to build their new fab and it’s production capacity is like 1% relative to the world total$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$

If China launches an attack now (which it won't), the US will interfere as its national interest is threatened.
With TSMC building new foundries outside of Taiwan, the centre of importance will be shifted in 3 years time.
Its the time needed for the Chinese to come up with an alternate global payment system that's not US or EU controlled.
Also by then the Road n Belt massive project would have a life of its own.
Should China launches a attack then, the US would not interfere.
