$Occidental(OXY)$ I believe that the FERC agreement limits his purchases to 50% of OXY. He would have to reapply for permission to seek control (ownership over 50%). While this may happen during Buffett's lifetime, it will cause the stock to surge if he is permitted to acquire over 50% of OXY. Given that there are many major shareholders in OXY, I would be surprised if he could acquire over 40% of OXY without a tender offer (approved in advance by the FERC).
