I live in Singapore for more than 15 years. i prefer to take normal taxi, instead of grab. Grab is too expensive nowadays and is not competitive at all when compared to normal taxi like Comfort or Transcab. I will always book a taxi when possible. Many of my friends share the same feeling. we don't think the Grab car business is sustainable, if they keep using the same strategy. I miss those old days when there is 50,000 normal taxis and i can easily get one even at very west of Singapore (e.g. NTU, Tuas) by calling taxi booking number. $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$
I think this stock may move below 3 again. Cash burn is very high. Also there is rumor of acquiring Goto which could be disastrous. This is just my own opinion though.
And I wish there was some coverage of their Grab Eats vs e-hailing revenue, profitability and growth prospects for the 2 segments. Also,
a) since stock-based compensation has been a 'killer' expense for most of the companies in the high growth phase, some indication of its trajectory going forward would have been helpful; and
b) an analysis of their revenue trends by major countries, growth in their respective areas, and potential going forward would have been useful, along with some pointers on competition (or lack thereof) in each of them.
