@Mrzorro:Options Market Statistics (1/12): BBBY Traders Buy High Volume of Bed Bath & Beyond Options Stock futures have been slipping between small gains and losses since 8:30 a.m., when the latest consumer-price index data came out. The market rally heading into this morning might be playing a role in the muted reaction. The S&P 500 has risen 1.9% for the week, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite is up 3.4%. "It seems like investors really expected something excellent, some great news," said Mike Bailey, director of research at FBB Capital Partners. "And we got okay news." $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ rose 3.68% as shares jumped above $120 yesterday, with option volume of nearly 3.13 million, and puts accounted for 57.3% of the volume. The 125, 130 calls expiring this Friday, were traded most actively. $Bed Bath & Beyond(BBBY)$ surged nearly 70% yesterday, with option volume of nearly 1 million, five times the daily average, and calls accounted for 66.1% of the volume. The calls expiring this Frida lead the flow. $AMD(AMD)$ & $Marvell Technology(MRVL)$ : The U.S. chip design firm on Wednesday appointed Marvell Technology executive Jean Hu as its chief financial officer, effective Jan. 23. AMD rose 1.48%, with 420,000 options traded; the put options traded accounted for 69.7% of the total. $Apple(AAPL)$ is actively working on adding touch screens to its Mac computers, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the project. The first touch-screen Mac could be launched as soon as 2025 as part of an update to Apple's MacBook Pro, the report said. The company shares rose more than 2%, with option volume of nearly 1.19 million, and puts accounted for 55.9% of the volume.
