$Microsoft(MSFT)$ The last report does not mean that the company is going backward. It simply means that a confluence of variables have resulted in a slow down in some sectors of business. It is a very common occurence in the life of any company. The question becomes, is MSFT on path to continue growth in the long run. Anybody that thinks Microsoft is not going to have a market cap of three trillion dollars in ten years, is operating with their head in the sand. They may even reach that plateau in a shorter time span. Who knows? At the end of the day however, option players and profit takers are traders. Long term investing is foreign to them. Both are legitimate money making strategies, but everybody has a different timeline . If your investment horizon reaches out ten, fifteen or twenty years, park your money in MSFT and forget it. As long as those earnings per share continue to move upward, don't worry about the occasional "misses". They mean nothing in the long run. My original basis in this stock is $23.85 dating back to 2003. Over that twenty years my original investment has doubled 12 times, not including dividends. Do the math on that. If that kind of return is not good enough for you, I understand. Everybody has to do their own thing, . Good luck to all.
