I'm thinking of selling... I have held for over six years now, and have trimmed a lot of gains over that time, using the money to buy elsewhere. If I do sell to zero, cap gains taxes would be due, just more insult to injury after what AMZN has done over the past 24 months. Charting the stock for the past 3 or 4 years, it doesn't seem likely to 'break out' of the blahs. Add to all that, the news of layoffs and subletting warehouse space. The fly in the ointment (for me): I've thought for some time that they would spin out AWS, and I've been looking for that. No hint. Back at the 20:1 split, I was looking for lower price to generate more activity, acting as a boost to price. No help, nada. I really don't want to sell, but there comes a time in just about all positions to move along. Mark me bearish for today.
