Twitter co-founder admits mistakes

Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey has apologized for the ongoing layoffs at the company, claiming he had grown it “too quickly.” The layoffs, which have already affected 50% of Twitter’s workforce, came after billionaire Elon Musk purchased the social media platform.

“Folks at Twitter past and present are strong and resilient. They will always find a way no matter how difficult the moment. I realize many are angry with me. I own the responsibility for why everyone is in this situation: I grew the company size too quickly. I apologize for that,” Dorsey said in a tweet, adding that he was “grateful for, and love, everyone who has ever worked on Twitter.”

However he admitted that he did not expect such feelings to be mutual at “this moment or ever.”
