@MrzorroElon Musk Is Now CEO of Twitter After Firing Social Media Company's Top Execs Elon Musk named himself chief executive officer of $Twitter(TWTR)$shortly after completing the purchase of the social media company. He also fired Twitter's top brass, which may have cost the billionaire and $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ CEO more than $200 million, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal and others. Chief Executive Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and head of legal policy Vijaya Gadde all had large stakes in Twitter -- about $65 million worth combined -- that they would have had purchased as part of Musk's $44 billion buyout. They are also entitled to a year's salary severance compensation. They were each making about $600,000 a year. But the most expensive part of their golden parachute clause for Musk was that the three executives automatically vest stock worth almost $120 million if they are terminated. These are shares they theoretically would have been paid in the future if they had stayed at Twitter. In the final tally, legal counsel Gadde should walk away with about $74 million. Agrawal and Segal will receive about $65 million each. That's according to calculations by MarketWatch, based on Twitter filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Musk, the owner of electric vehicle maker Tesla, remains the world's wealthiest person with a net worth of more than $200 billion. On Thursday evening after taking control of Twitter, Musk tweeted a message to his 110 million followers on the social media site that "the bird is freed." I believe Musk will use twitter as the social and marketing of $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$lets see whether Trump will use twitter again or not[Happy] @TigerStars@Daily_Discussion
