$Alibaba(BABA)$There's a rumor that Bridgewater sold BABA but bought the HK stock. So what should we do?

Trader mentality

The trader will buy the rumor and sell the news. For those who are keen to follow announcements quickly, BABA in HK seems like a good buy. The GF value is $369 for the US stock implying that it might be worth the gamble. Aside, it is unlikely to be a manipulator based on the beneish M-score. BABA is also at a 5 year low in price and 10 year low for both PB and PS.

Investor mentality

BABA has a ROIC < WACC plus declining GPM and operating margin. It is also heavily regulated and unlikely to have much upsides given the disruptions in China due to the zero COVID policy, and thus restricting growth. The other question to consider, is given a finite resource to invest, will you consider a probable upside or another company with a greater possible upside?

The BenjiFuji Thoughts

BABA is still out of COC for me, plus HK stocks are still an untested environment. If I do so,I will need to study deep and gain a 70% levelof confidence minimally before I initiate a position. I still can't get over the possibility of black swans from the government so I will still stay out for the moment.

What about you? Keen to learn from you.

Aside, are you one of the millionaires in SG? Ifnot, change your currency to feel like one. [LOL]  Just joking.

Bridgewater liquidated Alibaba in 2Q according to the latest 13F. However, there are news that Bridgewater turned to buy Alibaba's HK shares. I am still bullish on Alibaba but recognise the underlying risks. I’ll just do a small amount of call options for now.
