Hold Big Tech or Meme Stock?

Data show that US retail investors are once again trying to battle against Wall Street hedge funds. $Carvana Co.(CVNA)$, an e-commerce platform for buying and selling used cars in US, has rose 190% in 2023. Retail investors' pick in 2022 - $Bed Bath & Beyond(BBBY)$ rose more than 153% in the year. ---------- [TOPIC] How do you view the ongoing short squeeze: the rally is over or it's just a begining? Do you hold tech giants like Apple and Tesla or meme stocks like Carvana and FFIE?

Intel Cuts Dividend: Buy or not to Buy?

Before this dividend cut, Intel had went through extreme measures to reconstruct their business, make it more efficient, and reducing costs while keeping on track for the 5 nodes in 4 yrs. This dividend cut will retain so much capital for Intel on top of their large cash holdings and allow them to make many more investments in order to regain market share. Dying innovation was fueled by the previous CEOs and its delayed reaction is only appearing now. With new investments in Datacenter business (Sapphire Rapids), huge investments in Intel Foundry Services (which will push Intel to record high revenues in 5 years time), and slow but steady bites into the consumer GPU business, this is a long term buy with a better than ever buying opportunity on our hands.Still bullish on Int

$Roblox Corporation(RBLX)$  Congratulations to trader who had bought on January for swing . Should you buy this tech stock? ๐Ÿค” As the stock market corrects, technology stocks have held their ground. In fact, many have been soaring!โ€‹ This could be due to the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) which the media have hyped up. With such a strong sentiment in the market now, how can we possibly not look for opportunities in the tech sector AKA Stocks that have the highest potential to give you profits. Because doing this important step right is half the battle won, and subsequent actions of buying/selling the stock for profits will be a breeze. Lots of people completely neglect this step and instead unknowingly only focus on buying into random st

Snoop Dogg Blows Up Hempacco (HPCO) Stock

$Hempacco Co., Inc.(HPCO)$  Hempacco (NASDAQ:HPCO) stock is soaring higher on Thursday even without any recent news from the marijuana company. Instead of a company announcement or filing, we have heavy trading of HPCO stock to thank for todayโ€™s rise in price. As of this writing, more than 2.8 million shares of the stock have changed hands. Thatโ€™s a massive surge in trading volume compared to the companyโ€™s daily average of 127,000 shares. Itโ€™s also worth noting that HPCO has had a volatile week. Thatโ€™s due to it announcing a partnership with Snoop Dogg earlier in it. This has it selling a new brand of marijuana products under the rapperโ€™s name. New to The Street and Hempacco Co., Inc. (NASDAQ: HPCO) (โ€œHempaccoโ€) signed a 12-month media contr

Big Tech vs Meme When u compare so called big tech vs meme stocks, it depends on your definition of a meme stock really. For me, I classify meme stocks as speculative stocks with not much of a fundamental story where their values have been inflated by participants bent on taking on the so called juggernauts of wall streets. So they come together much like vigilantes to strike at the heart of wall street with particular reference to the hedge funds. Hedge funds are famous for shorting stocks which they deem highly valued or not fundamentally sound. But they run the risk of being short squeezed especially when the price goes up in huge amounts. That is where the prices of these stocks go up even though it does not make sense from the financial aspect. As for stocks with a fundamental&nb

Hold potential stocks, doesnt matter if it is BIG tech of MEME  stocks. To me, TSLA is both a MEME and BIG TECH stock because Elon Musk has so many supporters everywhere, not only on Wall streets Bets. Around 200 years ago, when $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ dropped to 500 (before the split), i missed the opportunity to buy and hold it. Recently when it dropped to 100, i missed the opportunity again. note to myself, not going to missed it the 3rd time round.

Disney Q1: Bob Iger's Profit-Back Project.

$Walt Disney(DIS)$ released earnings of first quarter of fiscal year 2023 ended December 31, 2022. This is Bob Iger's first financial report after returning to CEO position. Due to the cost optimization, the revenue and profit of the quarter both exceeded market expectations, but Disney + subscribers declined for the first time.Disney's share price rose by nearly 10% after hours, which is also the most direct feedback from the market. Due to the change of market risk appetite, the previous preference on rapid growth of streaming media performance has passed, now more attention has been paid to the company's operational efficiency and management restructuring plan.Market

CMA Opposes MSFT & ATVI Merger Deal ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™

$Activision Blizzard(ATVI)$  $Microsoft(MSFT)$  The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said on Wednesday the biggest-ever deal in gaming, announced a year ago, could result in higher prices, fewer choices and less innovation for millions of players, as well as stifling competition in cloud gaming. It said Activision's flagship "Call of Duty" franchise was important in driving competition between consoles, and Microsoft could benefit by making the game exclusive to Xbox, or only available on PlayStation under materially worse conditions. The deal is being scrutinised in the United States and Europe as well as in Britain, where the CMA showed its willingness to take-

Hold MEME If you elieve the worse is over and FED will pause interest rates hikes. Because smaller caps meme have alot of room to run. Risk reward ratio is very high but you must have the holding power and be able to see the stock tank. Buy with the amount you are able to lose and still sleep well at night. But of cos you should also keep some big CAP as insurance. My fav big cap is $ASML Holding NV(ASML)$

Why not hold both?  Big tech are looking term investments while meme stocks are speculative in nature. Just make sure you don't risk too much in meme stocks and be prepared to cut losses when things turn sour.

I will always choose apple big tech stock with lots of cash flow against meme stocks  As high interest environment is better off for apple with cash flow with little debts  Why I will choose $Apple(AAPL)$  Services are a higher margin business too - Apple generated a gross margin of 71.7% from services in 2022, compared to 36.3% for device products. Looking ahead, recent price increases on Apple Music, TV+ and its One bundle will likely drive revenue growth and further margin improvement in coming quarters. And also with a earnings of $6 it's only at most 30 times of its PE ratio  @Daily_Discussion

Why stress ourselves to buy meme stocks, many of which are loss-making companies (some even at risk of bankruptcy) when we can buy big tech which are profitable companies with strong fundamentals

After a volatile 2 years, AMC & GME are now trading above their price levels of 15 Jan 2021 just before the meme stock frenzy began. Last week's short-squeeze followed a post-Fed rally. $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Alphabet(GOOG)$  These are the tech stocks I would hold as AIgains traction. I will not hold Meme stock due to the lack of fundamentals. The excitement to make a large amount of money in a short period of time can be enormously tempting โ€“ therefore, investors may sometimes resort to meme stocks, succumbing to that temptation. Before you make like an ape and go bananas, here's what you should know. Meme stocks have become quite popular in the last few years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, some traders started talking up stocks on social media sites such as Reddit. The excitement potentially urged many other people to buy and/or sell based on those talking up a particular meme
