Unusual Option Talks? Those close NVDA PUTs

Unusual Options of October 9th, $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ accounted for a lot, with many end-of-day PUT orders. The fundamental reason is clear:Nvidia intends to announce three new chips for China, weeks after the company was restricted by the U.S. from selling two high-end artificial intelligence chips and another top gaming chip to Chinese companies.Of course, this does not mean that the chip-ban has been broken. It’s just business. Jenson Huang is from Taiwan, and the business mode is much like asian.Nvidia is also important for Chinese technology companies, as it is indispensable in AI competitions. Therefore, the market's movement has already boosted Nvidia's stock price from less than 400 ten days ago to 480, the level of last report. More importa

Much needed retreat before a bigger move up The semiconductor sector has been on a roll ever since last week rebounding strongly off the lows. The SMH looks like it might have a five wave pattern off the lows which is bullish but it faces a hurdle in the form of the upper downtrend line resistance from the July top. As such and especially after such a strong rally in the past week, caution must prevail and a retreat seems to be in the makings. A bullish scenario will see the retreat as a second wave that holds the necesary supports. A short retreat to the 38.2% Fib retrace levels might bode well and see a strong rally into the year end. A deeper retreat to the 50% levels and beyond might still see a year end rally but probably not as strong.  Of all the semi names, the usual names suc

$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ AMD had an amazing day launching higher after their earnings report. That being said... a trap is forming. We have detected a rug pull event on the 30 min. timeframe at the $97 price level. This brings a high probability that price action will drop back to $97 sometime in the near future.

$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ here is a technical analysis description of AMD stock, observing a double bottom pattern, indicating a potential rebound:AMD Stock Technical Analysis: Double Bottom PatternAdvanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) stock has been in a downtrend since the beginning of the year. However, in recent weeks, it has formed a double bottom pattern, which is a bullish reversal signal.A double bottom pattern is formed when a security's price falls to a low, rebounds, falls back to the same low, and then rebounds again. The second rebound is typically accompanied by an increase in volume, which confirms that buyers are gaining control of the market. In the case of AMD stock, the first bottom was formed in June at

$Intel(INTC)$ I've followed and traded Intel for many years. I can't remember a year when they were attempting even half as much as the next 12-14 months. Any one of these big innovations would have been market moving 10-30 years ago. If they get all them right, it should be an historic year to own INTC. The fact that Mr. Market has put Intel on ignore produces quite the opportunity over the next five years imo. There is a lot of great competition, but the semi TAM isn't shrinking. Somebody will be producing the trillion dollar transistors in 2030. Intel seems like a logical winner because of the massive R&D advances Gelsinger is stoking. Should be a fascinating *two years* to watch. If they execute, Gelsinger will en

Nvidia is not afraid of the US chip export curbs!

Yesterday, the shares of $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$, the king of GPU, once plunged nearly 8%. On the news, the United States announced that the ban on chips in China had been upgraded, and the H100 and H800 series GPU for China had been added to the restrictions. Investors were worried that the Sino-US chip war would affect Nvidia's performance. But don't worry, Nvidia is not afraid of the escalating chip export curbs in the United States! On the surface, Nvidia's revenue from China accounts for as much as 20%, but the company has a lot of ways to mitigate the impact of the ban. First, Nvidia sells not only data center GPU to China, but also games and car chips, and the combined revenue of the latter two is similar to that of data centers:Second, Nvidia ca
