$Grab Holdings(GRAB)$As a customer of Grab, I am utterly dissapointed. Loyal members are getting lesser and lesser benefits from using the platform. With the recent point system adjustment, I am officially out on Grab rewards. Many users on multiple forums has also voiced out that the reward system is no longer beneficial. As an investor, hearing that so many people unsatisfied with the platform. I wonder how many people have left the customer base? How much cash has left the super app / cash wallet? Grab might have save some cash on the rewards since many platform have downplay the rewards, but with such expensive services on Grab, how appealing is it for existing customer to continue and for new customer to join.

I guess I'm still in the denial stage.  It's a cycle. Markets will eventually bounce back again. That's why I'm still doing DCA. It really feels like the downtrend may last all the way until next year, but I'm optimistic and hopes it'll end sooner lol.

St. Louis Fed's Bullard sees more rate hikes ahead as inflation is 'serious problem'"We have a serious inflation problem in the U.S.", and the credibility of the Federal Reserve's inflation-targeting regime is at risk, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said Tuesday during the Barclays-CEPR International Policy Forum."These levels are similar to what we have seen in the late 1970s and 1980s," he said. The U.S. needs to be careful not to replay the volatile scenario of the 1970s-80s.In addition to its rate hikes, the U.S. central bank has embarked on quantitative tightening to help with combatting inflation. "We'll see how that part of the policy affects the inflation situation, as well."The 300 basis points of rate increases that the Fed has implemented is close to the 1994 cycle. "I'm

if you buy 1 stock at $3 and the stock keeps sliding, you cut loss by selling at $2 (and short another 1 share at $2, thank you @maricel for pointing out), the stock continues to fall to $1 and you bought it again seeing the price is attractive. the stock rebounds to $2. do you breakeven? diluted cost says (3-2+1)/1=2. but in actual fact, you have already broke even. in fact, you earned $1 profit. why? because you shorted with your share at $2 and bought back at $1 this earning $1. then the stock rebounded from $1 to $2, you earn $1 again. so total profit is (-1+1+1=1) the moral of this story is that you have to short with your own stock and start doing your book keeping. sell half or everything at each huge rebound. buy back again at

Dow drops almost 500 points and sets new yearly low; Nasdaq, S&P 500 also fallStocks recorded another day of losses on Friday as investors continued to worry that an aggressive Federal Reserve will push the economy into recession. The major averages trimmed their losses going into the close, but not before the Dow recorded a new low for the year. This week's selloff picked up steam late Wednesday after the Fed announced another rate increase and set expectations of more hikes to come this year. With Friday's drop, the major averages have now fallen in seven of the last nine sessions, dating back to Sept. 13, when the release of a hotter-than-expected inflation report sent the market spiraling. The Dow (DJI) ended -1.6%, hitting a low for the session of 29,250.47. This was the index's low

$SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$Where got time to grief?Everyday so many things to do. [Doubt] Anyway, let's use the more familiar investor sentiment model that tracks bull and bear market cycles instead. This is a generalizations of investor sentiment and by no means guidelines of how one should react. As we are almost 9 months into bear territory. Average bear market length is 289 days or 9.6 months, but we are not done yet. This is not the typical bear market. My advice, please double the bear market time, bringing it to 18 months. That's when our friend, the Fed will reach terminal rate hike of 5%. With the rate hikes more than halfway to 5%, we are probably closer to capitulatio

Glad to be Behind the Curve

Look that Iโ€™m behind the curve and still stuck at the bargaining stage, as I continue to hunt for undervalued stocks selling on the cheap in a red of sea.Iโ€™m not sure if I would ever enter the next stage of depression as I only invest with what I could afford to lose.It helps that Iโ€™ve a long-term investment horizon, so that I do not lose my sleep over short-term market volatility, which I like to befriend to take advantage of buying opportunities. I like to stay invested over market ups and downs, as I believe that time in the market will generate higher returns over time compared with timing the market.Even with companies that I like, I tend to invest in small tranches over time, as Iโ€™m terribly bad at market timing, so I prefer to dollar-cost average with my investments. It also helps th

The definition of Grief means feeling intense sorrow.  I felt it deeply when my father died just 2 months ago.  However I don't think I am at any of the 5 stages of grief in the current Bear Market. It is human to feel a gamut of emotions when trading in the stock market especially in a Bear Market because we have an aversion to loss.  However it is important in times like this to take a step back and reflect on our goals and the reason why we are trading in the stock market in the first instance. My goal to invest in the stock market is simple - FIRE - Financial Independence Retire Early.    I truly believe that the stock market is the place to be to grow my wealth in a slow and systematic manner through capital growth and the distribution of dividends. The curr

My mood cycle is not in the same pattern as this. It is following the roller coaster ride with the indices... I feel helpless as a retail investor, especially now, I can only pray that Powell will say something positive to lift the mood.[Bless] [Call] [Call] [Call]
I am in the stage of acceptance now, because I believe this tremendous inflation will finally pass away.

Yes I agreed and my stage will be acceptance as well because nothing is going to matter anymore
When I started investing (or should I call it gambling ๐Ÿ˜‚) years ago, I've been through all 5 stages of grief. As I get older and wiser ๐Ÿ˜‚, I see both bull and bear market as part of ritual we had to walk through as part of our investment journey. I don't fear the bear, I embrace it. Only such times will the market give us opportunity to accumulate businesses at discount below instrinic value. No matter which stage the market is, I have no emotion. I don't make investment or trading decisions base on emotion but rather through logical planning.

I don't agree with Casey. I believe when you havethe intention of trading - be it a trader or investor, you must be mentally prepared for the ๐Ÿ“ˆ or drop ๐Ÿ“‰of stock market. If you are unable to sustain losses ie varies from 1-60%, then you are not suitable in this battle field. Maybe I m a long term investor hence I didn't bother about the losses. I have a loss of as high as 70% or more. ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚Just enjoy the high dividends. If it ๐Ÿ“‰further, I will go back to my drawing board or should I say the chart and do my TA to determine when is the next entry price or should I just leave the stock alone - treating it as a man when they are in trouble, the
