Pre-merger shares of Vistas Media closed at $9.83 on Thursday.</p><p>Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Anghami streams music in English, French and Arabic to over 75 million registered users with approximately 1 billion streams per month. The company has a streaming catalog of more than 75 million songs.</p><p>Anghami announced in March 2021 that it was combining with blank-check company Vistas Media in a deal that carried an enterprise value of around $220 million. Now, in 2022, it has declined as the EV market frenzy has lost momentum and considerable concerns about rising interest rates hinder markets more broadly.</p><p>Fisker will announce the fourth quarter and full-year 2021 financial results on February 16, 2022, which means investors will start asking plenty of questions heading into the report.</p><p>With the latest earnings report looming and investor sentiment souring, these are some of the questions I would ask if I was looking into buying FSR stock in 2022.</p><p><b>Key Questions for the Fisker Management Team</b></p><ul><li>Fisker Ocean One will be a limited production of 5,000 units at a price tag of $69,000. How many reserves are for this trim level? What are the latest reservations numbers?</li><li>Why did sales dip in Q3 2021 to $15,000 compared to $27,000 in Q2 2021? As production gets closer, sales in the form of reservations should increase. Are there any cancellations?</li><li>SG&amp;A expense surged in Q3 2021. Research and Development costs rose significantly too. How will Fisker deliver strong profit margins if these costs increase further?</li><li>Why did management choose back in 2021 to issue Green convertible notes rather than just choose a stock offering? After all, shareholders have been diluted in the past year, with total shares outstanding growing by 7%.</li><li>Do you plan to invest in other green projects?</li><li>What are your projections about any supply chains problems? How do you plan to handle them?</li><li>Are your production targets of 7,500 units per month by late 2023, and over 10,000 per month during 2024 realistic?</li><li>What impact do you anticipate Project Pear will have on Ocean model sales, as it will be a more affordable electric vehicle?</li><li>When do you estimate to reach break-even sales and turn profitable?</li><li>Do you plan to sell the Ocean model worldwide? If yes, what are your core markets?</li></ul><p><b>Bottom Line on FSR Stock</b></p><p>Fisker will update investors in mid-February 2022 with full-year financial results. At the end of the day, I still consider its $11.53 price tag (as of Feb. 4) to be expensive. That’s based on its valuation and a lack of free cash flow. And remember, I think it’s an expensive price tag<i>regardless</i>of the selloff in Fisker stock this year.</p><p>As such, I don’t think now is the time to get excited about FSR stock. Fisker states it has a direct-to-consumer operating model that will support recurring revenue. More importantly, it claims to have a rapid path to both production and profitability. The company, for example, invested early on in making its signature project management tool Jira easy to quickly download and use. That self-service approach has been key to Atlassian’s growth.</p><p>“We continue to evolve and get better at that model every year,” said co-founder and co-Chief Executive Officer Mike Cannon-Brookes. “The cloud is even better for that. We have a lot more expansion vectors.”</p><p>Atlassian appears to be persuading its customers to jump to the cloud. Sales grew 37% to $688 million in the three months through December, fueled by a 58% jump in cloud revenue, the Sydney-based company said in a statement Thursday. Sales may be as much as $705 million in the current quarter, the company said, exceeding Wall Street expectations.</p><p>The shares, which have more than tripled the past two years, jumped 9.7% to $319.17 Friday in New York, the best single-day gain in more than five weeks.</p><p>“There still is no other vendor that we can see that is really presenting itself as a viable competitor,” said Mizuho managing director Gregg Moskowitz.</p><p>But some hurdles remain. In February, the company is poised to raise prices for its service and data center products, which could spur a backlash from customers. Its code repository known as BitBucket is now under pressure after Microsoft Corp.’s 2018 purchase of GitHub. Granted, Vertex hasn't delivered anywhere close to the kinds of returns that AMC and Dogecoin have in recent months. It even just reported a setback for <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> of its pipeline candidates. However, this big biotech holds an advantage over both of them that should make a huge difference over the long run: Vertex enjoys a monopoly in its core market.</p>\n<p>There are currently four approved drugs in the U.S. and Europe that treat the underlying cause of rare genetic disease cystic fibrosis (CF), and Vertex markets all of them. Its newest CF drug, Trikafta/Kaftrio, is its biggest winner yet. The drug is just beginning to pick up momentum in Europe.</p>\n<p>What about potential rivals? <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TWOA.U\">Two</a> other companies have clinical-stage candidates that target the underlying cause of CF. However, those experimental drugs are only in phase 2 testing, and there's no guarantee the candidates will be more effective than Vertex's products that are already on the market. Vertex seems likely to dominate the CF market, at least through the next decade.</p>\n<p>Let's compare Vertex's monopoly to the competitive dynamics for AMC and Dogecoin. AMC isn't the only theater chain. Its top rivals include <b>Cineplex</b>, <b>Cinemark</b>, <b>Marcus</b>, and Regal Entertainment. Streaming services that allow people to watch new movies at home are also a competitive threat to AMC.</p>\n<p>Dogecoin isn't the only cryptocurrency vying for investors' favor, either. There are other cryptocurrencies that seem even more likely to succeed over the next several years than Dogecoin.</p>\n<p>The bottom line is that Vertex has a moat, while AMC and Dogecoin don't. Over the long run, moats matter.</p>\n<h2>Looking to the future</h2>\n<p>Dogecoin likely has a hit-or-miss future. It either will become a top cryptocurrency that enjoys enduring use or it will fade away.</p>\n<p>On the other hand, AMC will probably experience a solid rebound as life returns to normal with fears about the COVID-19 pandemic waning. That should boost the company's sales this year and into 2022. But how long can AMC's growth story last? Movie-theater attendance was declining somewhat even before the pandemic. It won't be surprising to see that trend resume after an initial resurgence.</p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Vertex continues to focus on treating the remaining 10% of CF patients that its current drugs can't help. The company is also developing experimental therapies for other rare diseases, including alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, APOL1-mediated kidney diseases, beta-thalassemia, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and sickle cell disease.</p>\n<p>Vertex isn't limiting itself to just rare diseases, though. It's testing an experimental drug for the treatment of acute pain following certain types of surgeries in phase 2 clinical trials. The biotech is evaluating a gene therapy in a phase 1/2 study that holds the potential to essentially cure type 1 diabetes</p>\n<p>The important thing to note is that Vertex doesn't need all of these programs to be successful. If only <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> or two of them pan out, this biotech stock should deliver tremendous returns.</p>\n<h2>Beyond the hype</h2>\n<p>I think it's quite possible that AMC and/or Dogecoin will outperform Vertex over the short term. If you're a short-term trader looking to capture quick profits, that's great. However, my focus from the beginning has been on the long term.</p>\n<p>Sooner or later, the hype for AMC and Dogecoin will die down. What happens then? Short-term traders will turn to another stock or cryptocurrency to ride.</p>\n<p>Vertex, though, is working every single day to treat and even cure diseases that cause suffering for many people around the world. That widening made the financial sector generally, and bank stocks specifically, one of the few sectors to react positively to the Fed’s announcement on Wednesday. Granted, Vertex hasn't delivered anywhere close to the kinds of returns that AMC and Dogecoin have in recent months. It even just reported a setback for <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> of its pipeline candidates. However, this big biotech holds an advantage over both of them that should make a huge difference over the long run: Vertex enjoys a monopoly in its core market.</p>\n<p>There are currently four approved drugs in the U.S. and Europe that treat the underlying cause of rare genetic disease cystic fibrosis (CF), and Vertex markets all of them. Its newest CF drug, Trikafta/Kaftrio, is its biggest winner yet. The drug is just beginning to pick up momentum in Europe.</p>\n<p>What about potential rivals? <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TWOA.U\">Two</a> other companies have clinical-stage candidates that target the underlying cause of CF. However, those experimental drugs are only in phase 2 testing, and there's no guarantee the candidates will be more effective than Vertex's products that are already on the market. Vertex seems likely to dominate the CF market, at least through the next decade.</p>\n<p>Let's compare Vertex's monopoly to the competitive dynamics for AMC and Dogecoin. AMC isn't the only theater chain. Its top rivals include <b>Cineplex</b>, <b>Cinemark</b>, <b>Marcus</b>, and Regal Entertainment. Streaming services that allow people to watch new movies at home are also a competitive threat to AMC.</p>\n<p>Dogecoin isn't the only cryptocurrency vying for investors' favor, either. There are other cryptocurrencies that seem even more likely to succeed over the next several years than Dogecoin.</p>\n<p>The bottom line is that Vertex has a moat, while AMC and Dogecoin don't. Over the long run, moats matter.</p>\n<h2>Looking to the future</h2>\n<p>Dogecoin likely has a hit-or-miss future. It either will become a top cryptocurrency that enjoys enduring use or it will fade away.</p>\n<p>On the other hand, AMC will probably experience a solid rebound as life returns to normal with fears about the COVID-19 pandemic waning. That should boost the company's sales this year and into 2022. But how long can AMC's growth story last? Movie-theater attendance was declining somewhat even before the pandemic. It won't be surprising to see that trend resume after an initial resurgence.</p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Vertex continues to focus on treating the remaining 10% of CF patients that its current drugs can't help. The company is also developing experimental therapies for other rare diseases, including alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, APOL1-mediated kidney diseases, beta-thalassemia, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and sickle cell disease.</p>\n<p>Vertex isn't limiting itself to just rare diseases, though. It's testing an experimental drug for the treatment of acute pain following certain types of surgeries in phase 2 clinical trials. The biotech is evaluating a gene therapy in a phase 1/2 study that holds the potential to essentially cure type 1 diabetes</p>\n<p>The important thing to note is that Vertex doesn't need all of these programs to be successful. If only <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> or two of them pan out, this biotech stock should deliver tremendous returns.</p>\n<h2>Beyond the hype</h2>\n<p>I think it's quite possible that AMC and/or Dogecoin will outperform Vertex over the short term. If you're a short-term trader looking to capture quick profits, that's great. However, my focus from the beginning has been on the long term.</p>\n<p>Sooner or later, the hype for AMC and Dogecoin will die down. What happens then? Short-term traders will turn to another stock or cryptocurrency to ride.</p>\n<p>Vertex, though, is working every single day to treat and even cure diseases that cause suffering for many people around the world.
