works to increase U.S. chip production.</p>\n<p>The proposal sponsored by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden and the top Republican Senator Mike Crapo along with four other senators would provide \"reasonable, targeted incentives for domestic semiconductor manufacturing,\" they said in a statement.</p>\n<p>The group did not immediately respond to a request for a cost estimate for the measure, which is on top of recent semiconductor funding. Last week, the Senate approved $52 billion for production and research on semiconductors and telecommunications equipment. Amazon's arithmetic mean monthly return is&nbsp;<i>almost double</i>&nbsp;that of Alibaba. At that, the&nbsp;coefficient of variation&nbsp;of AMZN's return is lower than that of BABA. Median and arithmetic mean of monthly returns of Amazon are very close to each other, which indicates the symmetry of the distribution of returns. In addition, Amazon's distribution of returns demonstrates positive&nbsp;skewness&nbsp;and&nbsp;excess kurtosis&nbsp;equal to 4.04. Both companies are far from their quantitative and qualitative growth limits. At the same time, both companies have their own risks. In the case of Alibaba, it's a sovereign risk. In the case of Amazon, these are risks associated with its size and market share. And at the moment, these risks are difficult to compare.</p>\n<p>I understand that the analysis performed is based on historical data. And the future won't necessarily be the same. Median and arithmetic mean of monthly returns of Amazon are very close to each other, which indicates the symmetry of the distribution of returns. In addition, Amazon's distribution of returns demonstrates positive skewness and excess kurtosis equal to 4.04.
