The S&P 500 has fallen 0.6%. But the Nasdaq has gained 0.65% on the week.\nThe decline in stocks came amid a drastic flattening of the so-called Treasury yield curve where the yields of shorter-duration Treasurys, like the 2-year note, rose, while longer duration yields, such as the benchmark 10-year fell. The retreat in long-dated bonds reflects less optimism toward the economic growth, while the jump in short-end yields shows the expectations of the Fed raising rates.\nThe central bank's hawkish pivot on Wednesday caused volatile stock and bond market moves. Fed officials added two rate hikes to their 2023 forecast and increased their inflation projection for the year, while Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said officials have discussed tapering bond buying and would at some point begin slowing the asset purchases.\nFriday also coincides with the quarterly \"quadruple witching\" where options and futures on indexes and equities expire. Many expect trading to be more volatile in light of this event.\nStocks making the biggest moves in the premarket:\nAdobe(ADBE) – Adobe reported quarterly profit of $3.03 per share, 21 cents a share above estimates. The software company's revenue also topped Wall Street forecasts and Adobe gave stronger-than-expected current-quarter guidance. Its shares rose 3.1% in premarket trading.\nSmith & Wesson(SWBI) – Smith & Wesson reported better-than-expected profit and sales for its latest quarter, as the gun maker's sales surged 67% compared to the same quarter a year earlier. The company notes that its shipments jumped 70% compared to overall industry growth of 42%. Shares rallied 4.7% in premarket trading.\nOrphazyme(ORPH) – Orphazyme plunged 52.6% in the premarket after the Food and Drug Administration rejected its experimental treatment for a genetic disorder known as Niemann-Pick disease type C. The Denmark-based biotech company had seen volatile trading in its shares in recent days after it picked up social media attention, falling 10.2% Thursday after a more than 61% surge Wednesday.\nDelta Air Lines(DAL) – The stock added 1.1% in the premarket following a double upgrade at Wolfe Research to \"outperform\" from \"underperform.\" Wolfe said it sees business travel benefiting from pent-up demand later this summer, although it doesn't think it will return to pre-Covid levels.\nManchester United(MANU) – Manchester United lost $30.2 million for the first three months of this year, due largely to the absence of fans at its games because of the coronavirus pandemic. All of the team's 2020-21 season games were played without spectators.\nArcelorMittal(MT) – ArcelorMittal sold its remaining 38.2 million shares of steel producerCleveland-Cliffs(CLF). The mining company will use the proceeds to fund a $750 million share buyback. Arcelor-Mittal rose 1% in premarket action, while Cleveland-Cliffs added 0.3%.\nCarnival(CCL) – The cruise line operator disclosed a March data breach that may have exposed personal information of customers of its Carnival, Holland America and Princess brands. It did not disclose how many may have been affected.\nFox Corp.(FOXA) – Fox increased its stock repurchase program by $2 billion to a total of $4 billion, helping to send its shares higher by 2.8% in the premarket.\nPilgrim's Pride(PPC) – Pilgrim's Pride expanded its prepared foods and branded products business by purchasing Kerry Group's Meats and Meals business. The poultry producer will pay the Ireland-based company about $947 million for that unit.\nHasbro(HAS),Mattel(MAT) – The toymakers are on watch following a New York Post report warning of a potential toy shortage this coming holiday season. The paper said thousands of toys ready for shipment remain stockpiled in China due to the lack of shipping containers available for export.\nBiogen(BIIB) – The drugmaker's stock was upgraded to \"overweight\" from \"neutral\" at Piper Sandler, which cites a number of factors including the likelihood that doctors will prescribe Biogen's newly approved Alzheimer's drug Aduhelm. Fans like it for a number of reasons including the fact it underpins many other cryptocurrencies, but it’s yet to be adopted by private institutions in the way that bitcoin has been.\nIt’s important to note that ether’s market cap is less than half that of bitcoin’s, but trading volumes for the smaller coin surged to $600 billion in May — 60% higher than bitcoin volumes, according to Morgan Stanley.\nThere are some key reasons for the outperformance of ether, according to the investment bank, which updated its views on crypto in a note last week.\nEnergy usage\nOne key factor to consider when looking at why ether is currently outperforming bitcoin is energy usage.\n“ETH is considered more ‘green’ than bitcoin,” Morgan Stanley strategist Sheena Shah and equity analysts James Faucette and Betsy Graseck wrote in the note.\nCrypto miners use purpose-built computers to solve complex mathematical equations that effectively enable a coin transaction to go through. The miners are rewarded for their efforts in whatever the coin is that they’re mining. However, the entire process, known as proof of work, is energy intensive because of the amount of power used by the computers.\nTo slash ether’s electricity usage, the Ethereum Foundation is transitioning its process for approving transactions to proof of stake instead of proof of work.\nIn theory, this means all someone will need to become a validator on the network is proof that they hold some ether, or a “stake.” Ultimately, it should remove the need for vast amounts of computing power needed to validate transactions and the Ethereum Foundation claims it will use more than 99.9% less energy than before.\n“Increasing worries about bitcoin’s energy usage made ether relatively more attractive as PoW doesn’t use as much energy to run, at the expense of the security of the transaction,” the Morgan Stanley experts wrote.\nIt’s worth noting there are other coins that already run on proof of stake networks, such as Cardano and Algorand.\nCoins could be destroyed\nEther also has a new “money supply plan” coming in July that will change the way miners are paid, and make ether scarcer.\n“An upgrade to the protocol is expected (called EIP-1559) where the fees that miners are currently paid (in ETH) will be ‘burned’ instead of being given to miners,” wrote the Morgan Stanley analysts. “ETH money supply will be destroyed, increasing its scarcity.”\nDecentralized finance\nOther cryptocurrencies beyond ether also rely on ethereum’s blockchain, which is a growing list of records, called blocks, that are linked together using cryptography.\nIndeed, the vast majority of so-called decentralized finance still runs on the ethereum blockchain, the Morgan Stanley analysts noted.\nBut new competitors are launching, and ethereum is no longer the go-to blockchain for cryptocurrency creators. “Most new coins opted to use an existing blockchain, which until a year ago was mostly ethereum,” said the analysts.\n“Ethereum transaction fees were rising quickly this year as more and more digital assets used the blockchain, hitting the limits of the way ethereum is currently set up to handle transactions,” they added.\nBinance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, built the Binance Smart Chain and made it relatively easy for creators of existing ethereum-based coins to port their coin to the BSC.\nBitcoin’s carbon footprint\nBitcoin has come under significant pressure in recent months amid a growing awareness of its energy usable.\nIt has a carbon footprint comparable to that of New Zealand, producing 36.95 megatons of CO2 annually, according to Digiconomist. This is a major cause for concern in countries around the world which are currently trying to cut their carbon emissions and mitigate climate change.\nTesla CEO Elon Musk said last month that his electric car company will stop accepting bitcoin as a form of payment because of environmental concerns, causing the price of bitcoin to drop 5% in a matter of minutes.Although, he said this week Tesla will start accepting bitcoin again as long as miners use more clean energy.\nMeanwhile China, which has some of the cheapest electricity in the world, is imposing strict new regulations on bitcoin mining. When the Chinese Communist Party said it would “crack down on bitcoin mining and trading behavior” in May the price of bitcoin fell 25% in a few days.\n“China’s crackdown seems tied to China’s newly stated efforts to reduce carbon emissions, with approximately two-thirds to three-quarters of bitcoin mining thought to be done in China, a substantial portion of which uses electricity from coal powered plants,” the analysts wrote.\nThey noted that bitcoin miners in the country are now in the process of moving elsewhere (to use other energy sources) or cashing out, which has not helped prices.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":181,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":169744875,"gmtCreate":1623852137097,"gmtModify":1703821436474,"author":{"id":"3556136545107443","authorId":"3556136545107443","name":"Akai98","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3556136545107443","idStr":"3556136545107443"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ohh","listText":"Ohh","text":"Ohh","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/169744875","repostId":"1105866425","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1105866425","pubTimestamp":1623837565,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1105866425?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-16 17:59","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Crypto Lode of $100 Billion Stirs U.S. Worry Over Hidden Danger","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1105866425","media":"bloomberg","summary":"Regulators are worried about hidden risks to investors and even the financial system stemming from a fast-growing corner of the crypto market meant to be immune from volatility.Their focus is on so-called stablecoins, a form of cryptocurrency that has a fixed price, typically one dollar, and is backed by real-money reserves. But in recent weeks, lawmakers and officials from theFederal Reserveand the administration have expressed alarm both in public and private that some consumers won’t actually ","content":"
Regulators are worried about hidden risks to investors and even the financial system stemming from a fast-growing corner of the crypto market meant to be immune from volatility.
\n
Their focus is on so-called stablecoins, a form of cryptocurrency that has a fixed price, typically one dollar, and is backed by real-money reserves.
\n
At the end of May, the total marketcapitalizationof stablecoins, which include ones offered by crypto firms Tether and Centre, broke $100 billion.
\n
But in recent weeks, lawmakers and officials from theFederal Reserveand the administration have expressed alarm both in public and private that some consumers won’t actually be protected should one of the firms not have the backing they purport to have. They also say the growing size of stablecoins has created a situation where huge amounts of U.S. dollar-equivalent coins are being exchanged without touching the U.S. banking system, potentially blinding regulators to illicit finance.
\n
“They’re dangerous to both their users and, as they grow, to the broader financial system,” said Lev Menand, an academic fellow at Columbia Law School, in testimony to a Senate Banking subcommittee last week.
\n
Administration officials have expressed concern to representatives of stablecoin issuers in recent weeks that consumers don’t understand that money held in a stablecoin isn’t protected by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and that, in some cases, they could potentially lose money on a stablecoin, according to a person familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to describe confidential discussions. The person said officials are also worried that criminals could use stablecoins to transfer money without having to touch a bank, meaning that they could avoid protections meant to catch money laundering and other illicit activity.
\n
Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren compared stablecoins to “wildcat notes” issued by poorly capitalized banks in the 19th century that later stuck many of their holders with large losses, speaking at a Senate Banking subcommitteehearinglast week. Warren said that if the Federal Reserve were to issue its own digital currency, consumers could get the benefits of a stablecoin without that kind of risk.
\n
The U.S. and other nations are already considering launching their own digital currencies. Those coins, known as central bank digital currencies, would be direct competitors to stablecoins. Later this year, theFederal Reserve Bank of Bostonplans to publish research and open-source code showing technology that could underpin a digital dollar. Fed Chair Jerome Powell has said lawmakers will likely need to weigh in for the project to advance and that the process could take years.
\n
Last month, in astatementon the Fed’s progress in researching a CBDC, Powell said that stablecoins could pose risks to the financial system. “As stablecoins’ use increases, so must our attention to the appropriate regulatory and oversight framework,” Powell said.
\n
Days after Powell’s statement, Fed Governor Lael Brainard in aspeechgave her own warning, saying that widening use of stablecoins could fragment the financial system, potentially raising costs for U.S. households and businesses.
\n
Brainard and other Fed officials have warned that if privately-issued stablecoins become widely used, but consumers then lose confidence in them, it could result in the kind of “run on the bank” panic that threatens financial stability.
\n
As cryptocurrency trading has exploded, so has the use of stablecoins. Right now, investors primarily use stablecoins as a place to park money on cryptocurrency exchanges without having to transfer cash back to their bank accounts. The largest by far, with a market capitalization of $62.6 billion, is Tether, which is incorporated in Hong Kong. U.S. Dollar Coin, or USDC, has a market value of $23.8 billion and was created by theCentre Consortium, a partnership between crypto payments firmCircle Internet Financial Inc.and U.S. crypto exchangeCoinbase Global Inc.
\n
Early stablecoin controversies circled aroundTether International Ltd., which originally said its coins were completely backed by cash. In February, New York’s attorney generalsaidthe company for years didn’t actually have the cash it said it did and banned Tether from trading with New York residents. Now the company says Tether’s coin is backed not just by cash, but by assets including commercial paper, corporate bonds and precious metals. The Centre Consortium says each U.S. Dollar Coin is backed by a dollar held in a bank account.
\n
“Tether embraces transparency and regulation,” said Tether General Counsel Stuart Hoegner, in a statement, noting that the company is registered as a money-services business with the Treasury Department. Hoegner said Tether doesn’t currently accept U.S. customers and is pursuing audits for past years of Tether’s reserves. “We continue to look for avenues of regulation globally and are pursuing regimes in several countries,” he said.
\n
Breakdown of Tether’s Reserves
\n
Centre didn’t respond to a request for comment.
\n
Other than continuing work on a potential central bank digital currency and increasing what stablecoin firms have to disclose to consumers, it’s unclear what regulators can do to slow stablecoins’ rapid growth. Timothy Massad, former chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, in a Mayop-edsaid theSecurities and Exchange Commissioncould regulate stablecoins in a similar way to money-market funds, which aren’t FDIC-insured and faced stress during the 2008 financial crisis.
\n
For more:Crypto’sShadow Currency Surges Past Deposits of Most U.S. Banks
\n
One billintroducedin Congress last year would require stablecoin issuers to have a banking charter and get approval from the Fed, among other agencies, though the bill is unlikely to become law.
\n
The most immediate way that some stablecoins might come under attack is from enforcers, such as what happened with the New York attorney general, who could pursue issuers for lying to consumers, saidJosh Lipsky, director of the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center. Lipsky said stablecoin issuers could eventually work in tandem with international governments’ projects to issue their own digital currencies but that the U.S. and others will have to develop regulations to ensure consumers aren’t hurt.
\n
“The way it’s marketed is that you’re getting a dollar, but stablecoins are not always that stable,” Lipsky said.
","source":"lsy1584095487587","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; They also say the growing size of stablecoins has created a situation where huge amounts of U.S. dollar-equivalent coins are being exchanged without touching the U.S. banking system, potentially blinding regulators to illicit finance.\n“They’re dangerous to both their users and, as they grow, to the broader financial system,” said Lev Menand, an academic fellow at Columbia Law School, in testimony to a Senate Banking subcommittee last week.\nAdministration officials have expressed concern to representatives of stablecoin issuers in recent weeks that consumers don’t understand that money held in a stablecoin isn’t protected by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and that, in some cases, they could potentially lose money on a stablecoin, according to a person familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to describe confidential discussions. The person said officials are also worried that criminals could use stablecoins to transfer money without having to touch a bank, meaning that they could avoid protections meant to catch money laundering and other illicit activity.\nMassachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren compared stablecoins to “wildcat notes” issued by poorly capitalized banks in the 19th century that later stuck many of their holders with large losses, speaking at a Senate Banking subcommitteehearinglast week. Warren said that if the Federal Reserve were to issue its own digital currency, consumers could get the benefits of a stablecoin without that kind of risk.\nThe U.S. and other nations are already considering launching their own digital currencies. Those coins, known as central bank digital currencies, would be direct competitors to stablecoins. Later this year, theFederal Reserve Bank of Bostonplans to publish research and open-source code showing technology that could underpin a digital dollar. Fed Chair Jerome Powell has said lawmakers will likely need to weigh in for the project to advance and that the process could take years.\nLast month, in astatementon the Fed’s progress in researching a CBDC, Powell said that stablecoins could pose risks to the financial system. “As stablecoins’ use increases, so must our attention to the appropriate regulatory and oversight framework,” Powell said.\nDays after Powell’s statement, Fed Governor Lael Brainard in aspeechgave her own warning, saying that widening use of stablecoins could fragment the financial system, potentially raising costs for U.S. households and businesses.\nBrainard and other Fed officials have warned that if privately-issued stablecoins become widely used, but consumers then lose confidence in them, it could result in the kind of “run on the bank” panic that threatens financial stability.\nAs cryptocurrency trading has exploded, so has the use of stablecoins. Right now, investors primarily use stablecoins as a place to park money on cryptocurrency exchanges without having to transfer cash back to their bank accounts. The largest by far, with a market capitalization of $62.6 billion, is Tether, which is incorporated in Hong Kong. U.S. Dollar Coin, or USDC, has a market value of $23.8 billion and was created by theCentre Consortium, a partnership between crypto payments firmCircle Internet Financial Inc.and U.S. crypto exchangeCoinbase Global Inc.\nEarly stablecoin controversies circled aroundTether International Ltd., which originally said its coins were completely backed by cash. In February, New York’s attorney generalsaidthe company for years didn’t actually have the cash it said it did and banned Tether from trading with New York residents. Now the company says Tether’s coin is backed not just by cash, but by assets including commercial paper, corporate bonds and precious metals. The Centre Consortium says each U.S. Dollar Coin is backed by a dollar held in a bank account.\n“Tether embraces transparency and regulation,” said Tether General Counsel Stuart Hoegner, in a statement, noting that the company is registered as a money-services business with the Treasury Department. Hoegner said Tether doesn’t currently accept U.S. customers and is pursuing audits for past years of Tether’s reserves. “We continue to look for avenues of regulation globally and are pursuing regimes in several countries,” he said.\nBreakdown of Tether’s Reserves\nCentre didn’t respond to a request for comment.\nOther than continuing work on a potential central bank digital currency and increasing what stablecoin firms have to disclose to consumers, it’s unclear what regulators can do to slow stablecoins’ rapid growth. Timothy Massad, former chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, in a Mayop-edsaid theSecurities and Exchange Commissioncould regulate stablecoins in a similar way to money-market funds, which aren’t FDIC-insured and faced stress during the 2008 financial crisis.\nFor more:Crypto’sShadow Currency Surges Past Deposits of Most U.S. Banks\nOne billintroducedin Congress last year would require stablecoin issuers to have a banking charter and get approval from the Fed, among other agencies, though the bill is unlikely to become law.\nThe most immediate way that some stablecoins might come under attack is from enforcers, such as what happened with the New York attorney general, who could pursue issuers for lying to consumers, saidJosh Lipsky, director of the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center. Lipsky said stablecoin issuers could eventually work in tandem with international governments’ projects to issue their own digital currencies but that the U.S. and others will have to develop regulations to ensure consumers aren’t hurt.\n“The way it’s marketed is that you’re getting a dollar, but stablecoins are not always that stable,” Lipsky said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":73,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":169746022,"gmtCreate":1623852065566,"gmtModify":1703821431209,"author":{"id":"3556136545107443","authorId":"3556136545107443","name":"Akai98","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3556136545107443","idStr":"3556136545107443"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Buyyy","listText":"Buyyy","text":"Buyyy","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/169746022","repostId":"1122753850","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":130,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":167851668,"gmtCreate":1624261177054,"gmtModify":1703831822620,"author":{"id":"3556136545107443","authorId":"3556136545107443","name":"Akai98","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3556136545107443","authorIdStr":"3556136545107443"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice article!","listText":"Nice article!","text":"Nice article!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/167851668","repostId":"1154249454","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1154249454","pubTimestamp":1624230573,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1154249454?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-21 07:09","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Nike, FedEx, Johnson & Johnson, Darden, and Other Stocks for Investors to Watch This Week","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1154249454","media":"barrons","summary":"A handful of notable companies will release their latest results toward the end of this week.Nike,FedEx,andDarden Restaurantswill report on Thursday, followed by CarMax and Paychex on Friday. The S&P 500 has fallen 0.6%. But the Nasdaq has gained 0.65% on the week.\nThe decline in stocks came amid a drastic flattening of the so-called Treasury yield curve where the yields of shorter-duration Treasurys, like the 2-year note, rose, while longer duration yields, such as the benchmark 10-year fell. The retreat in long-dated bonds reflects less optimism toward the economic growth, while the jump in short-end yields shows the expectations of the Fed raising rates.\nThe central bank's hawkish pivot on Wednesday caused volatile stock and bond market moves. Fed officials added two rate hikes to their 2023 forecast and increased their inflation projection for the year, while Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said officials have discussed tapering bond buying and would at some point begin slowing the asset purchases.\nFriday also coincides with the quarterly \"quadruple witching\" where options and futures on indexes and equities expire. Many expect trading to be more volatile in light of this event.\nStocks making the biggest moves in the premarket:\nAdobe(ADBE) – Adobe reported quarterly profit of $3.03 per share, 21 cents a share above estimates. The software company's revenue also topped Wall Street forecasts and Adobe gave stronger-than-expected current-quarter guidance. Its shares rose 3.1% in premarket trading.\nSmith & Wesson(SWBI) – Smith & Wesson reported better-than-expected profit and sales for its latest quarter, as the gun maker's sales surged 67% compared to the same quarter a year earlier. The company notes that its shipments jumped 70% compared to overall industry growth of 42%. Shares rallied 4.7% in premarket trading.\nOrphazyme(ORPH) – Orphazyme plunged 52.6% in the premarket after the Food and Drug Administration rejected its experimental treatment for a genetic disorder known as Niemann-Pick disease type C. The Denmark-based biotech company had seen volatile trading in its shares in recent days after it picked up social media attention, falling 10.2% Thursday after a more than 61% surge Wednesday.\nDelta Air Lines(DAL) – The stock added 1.1% in the premarket following a double upgrade at Wolfe Research to \"outperform\" from \"underperform.\" Wolfe said it sees business travel benefiting from pent-up demand later this summer, although it doesn't think it will return to pre-Covid levels.\nManchester United(MANU) – Manchester United lost $30.2 million for the first three months of this year, due largely to the absence of fans at its games because of the coronavirus pandemic. All of the team's 2020-21 season games were played without spectators.\nArcelorMittal(MT) – ArcelorMittal sold its remaining 38.2 million shares of steel producerCleveland-Cliffs(CLF). The mining company will use the proceeds to fund a $750 million share buyback. Arcelor-Mittal rose 1% in premarket action, while Cleveland-Cliffs added 0.3%.\nCarnival(CCL) – The cruise line operator disclosed a March data breach that may have exposed personal information of customers of its Carnival, Holland America and Princess brands. It did not disclose how many may have been affected.\nFox Corp.(FOXA) – Fox increased its stock repurchase program by $2 billion to a total of $4 billion, helping to send its shares higher by 2.8% in the premarket.\nPilgrim's Pride(PPC) – Pilgrim's Pride expanded its prepared foods and branded products business by purchasing Kerry Group's Meats and Meals business. The poultry producer will pay the Ireland-based company about $947 million for that unit.\nHasbro(HAS),Mattel(MAT) – The toymakers are on watch following a New York Post report warning of a potential toy shortage this coming holiday season. The paper said thousands of toys ready for shipment remain stockpiled in China due to the lack of shipping containers available for export.\nBiogen(BIIB) – The drugmaker's stock was upgraded to \"overweight\" from \"neutral\" at Piper Sandler, which cites a number of factors including the likelihood that doctors will prescribe Biogen's newly approved Alzheimer's drug Aduhelm. I mean, you can't get a better leader than they have.\"\nIn the same \"Trading Nation\" interview, Matt Maley, chief market strategist at Miller Tabak, noted that Tesla's stock has been relatively flat for the past several months, trading around its 200-day moving average.\n\n\"You don't see that very often,\" he said. \"Whichever way it breaks away from that 200-day moving average will give us a little bit of a hint [about] its next move.\"\nThe stock is also forming a descending triangle pattern, Maley said, saying the upper end of the pattern is around $650 and the lower end sits at $563. Those are the two levels to watch, and where shares move relative to those levels will be very indicative of where Tesla is headed, he said.\n\"In the past, when the stock has been stuck in this sideways range, once it breaks out, it starts to move in a big way. This should be no different,\" he said.\nTesla's deliveries report in the first week of July could be a breakout catalyst, Maley said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":130,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
