week's bigger IPOs.
\n

\n

\n
After a flurry of initial-public-offering launches last week set the market up for a busy fall for deals, 11 are expected to price this week and raise more than $3 billion in proceeds.
\n

\n
If all deals materialize, it will make 2021 the biggest year for IPO proceeds ever, and shatter the previous record by about 30%, according to Bill Smith, founder and chief executive of Renaissance Capital, a provider of institutional research and exchange-traded funds oriented around IPOs. The market is expected to see some 375 deals for the year, raising $125 billion, according to Renaissance, beating the $97 billion raised in 2000 during the dot-com boom.
\n

\n
“After the long summer break, this week is a litmus test for upcoming tech, biotech, and consumer IPOs,” Smith wrote in a market commentary. The list includes a Swiss running-shoe company backed by tennis giant Roger Federer, a drive-through coffee kiosk operator and a mortgage insurer that was spun out of insurer Genworth Financial.
\n

\n
The biggest deal of the week is expected to come from Thoughtworks,a Chicago-based technology consultancy that will go public at a valuation of up to $6.1 billion.
\n
The company, which expects to change its name from Turing Holding Corp. to Thoughtworks with completion of the IPO, said a total of 36.84 million shares will be offered, split between the company and selling shareholders.
\n

\n
The deal is expected to price at between $18 and $20 a share, and the stock will trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “TWKS.” Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are the lead underwriters. The company recorded net income of $79.3 million on revenue of $803.4 million in 2020, after income of $28.4 million on revenue of $772.2 million in 2019.
\n
The Swiss athletic-footwear maker On Holding is expected to raise up to $622 million at a valuation of almost $6 billion. On has applied to list 31.1 million shares priced at $18 to $20 each on the New York Stock Exchange, under the ticker symbol “ONON.”
\n

\n
Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Morgan Stanley are lead underwriters in a syndicate of nine banks on the On deal. Proceeds are to be used for general corporate purposes. The company has a line that it co-developed with Federer.
\n

\n
The company had net income of 3.8 million Swiss francs ($4.1 million) in the six months through June 30, after a loss of 33.1 million francs in the year-earlier period, according to its IPO documents. Sales came to 315.5 million francs, up from 170.9 million francs.
\n

\n
Also from Switzerland, sports betting site Sportrader Group AG plans to offer 19 million shares priced at $25 to $28 each, for a valuation of up to $31 billion. The company has applied to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “SRAD.” JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and UBS are lead underwriters in a syndicate of 13 banks working on the deal.
\n

\n
Proceeds are to be used for working capital and to spur growth. The company had a net profit of $29.9 million in the first six months of the year, on revenue of $321 million, according to its filing documents.
\n

\n
Dutch Bros Inc.,an operator of drive-through shops that serve hot and cold drinks mostly in western U.S. states, is planning to offer 21.1 million shares priced at $18 to $20 each in its IPO, valuing the company at up to $3.3 billion.
\n

\n
BofA Securities, JPMorgan and Jefferies are lead underwriters in a syndicate of 13 banks working on the deal. The company has applied to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “BROS.”
\n
Proceeds are to be used to purchase additional Class A shares — the company is planning to have four classes of stock with differing voting rights. The company had a net loss of $13.6 million, or 32 cents a share, in the first six months of the year, narrower than the loss of $16.5 million, or 38 cents a share, posted in the year-earlier period. Revenue fell to $227.9 million from $327.4 million.
\n

\n
Rounding out the list are:
\n
• Definitive Healthcare Corp., a Massachusetts-based provider of healthcare commercial intelligence, is planning to offer 15.56 million shares in its PO, which is expected to price between $21 and $24 a share. The market is expected to see some 375 deals for the year, raising $125 billion, according to Renaissance, beating the $97 billion raised in 2000 during the dot-com boom. \n\n“After the long summer break, this week is a litmus test for upcoming tech, biotech, and consumer IPOs,” Smith wrote in a market commentary. The list includes a Swiss running-shoe company backed by tennis giant Roger Federer, a drive-through coffee kiosk operator and a mortgage insurer that was spun out of insurer Genworth Financial. \n\nThe biggest deal of the week is expected to come from Thoughtworks,a Chicago-based technology consultancy that will go public at a valuation of up to $6.1 billion.\nThe company, which expects to change its name from Turing Holding Corp. to Thoughtworks with completion of the IPO, said a total of 36.84 million shares will be offered, split between the company and selling shareholders.\n\nThe deal is expected to price at between $18 and $20 a share, and the stock will trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “TWKS.” Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are the lead underwriters. The company recorded net income of $79.3 million on revenue of $803.4 million in 2020, after income of $28.4 million on revenue of $772.2 million in 2019.\nThe Swiss athletic-footwear maker On Holding is expected to raise up to $622 million at a valuation of almost $6 billion. On has applied to list 31.1 million shares priced at $18 to $20 each on the New York Stock Exchange, under the ticker symbol “ONON.”\n\nGoldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Morgan Stanley are lead underwriters in a syndicate of nine banks on the On deal. Proceeds are to be used for general corporate purposes. The company has a line that it co-developed with Federer.\n\nThe company had net income of 3.8 million Swiss francs ($4.1 million) in the six months through June 30, after a loss of 33.1 million francs in the year-earlier period, according to its IPO documents. Sales came to 315.5 million francs, up from 170.9 million francs.\n\nAlso from Switzerland, sports betting site Sportrader Group AG plans to offer 19 million shares priced at $25 to $28 each, for a valuation of up to $31 billion. The company has applied to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “SRAD.” JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and UBS are lead underwriters in a syndicate of 13 banks working on the deal.\n\nProceeds are to be used for working capital and to spur growth. The company had a net profit of $29.9 million in the first six months of the year, on revenue of $321 million, according to its filing documents.\n\nDutch Bros Inc.,an operator of drive-through shops that serve hot and cold drinks mostly in western U.S. states, is planning to offer 21.1 million shares priced at $18 to $20 each in its IPO, valuing the company at up to $3.3 billion.\n\nBofA Securities, JPMorgan and Jefferies are lead underwriters in a syndicate of 13 banks working on the deal. The company has applied to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “BROS.”\nProceeds are to be used to purchase additional Class A shares — the company is planning to have four classes of stock with differing voting rights. The company had a net loss of $13.6 million, or 32 cents a share, in the first six months of the year, narrower than the loss of $16.5 million, or 38 cents a share, posted in the year-earlier period. Revenue fell to $227.9 million from $327.4 million.\n\nRounding out the list are:\n• Definitive Healthcare Corp., a Massachusetts-based provider of healthcare commercial intelligence, is planning to offer 15.56 million shares in its PO, which is expected to price between $21 and $24 a share. At that pricing, the company could be valued at up to $3.55 billion.\n• Enact Holdings Inc., a mortgage insurer owned by Genworth, is planning to offer 13.3 million shares priced at $19 to $20 each. The company would be valued at $3.3 billion at the top of that range. The company said all shares will be sold by Genworth and it will not receive any proceeds. But those same markets are pricing in decent odds of the Fed tightening a little bit slower (three rate hikes: 26% chance) as they are for the Fed tightening a little bit faster (five rate hikes: 20% chance).Either way, the Fed is making it clear that come the March meeting, FOMC decision days that follow are all fair game for more tightening.Market Views:“We see a risk that the FOMC will want to take some tightening action at every meeting until that picture changes,” Goldman Sachs analysts wrote on Friday. With prices rising at a pace not seen in nearly 40 years, the Fed may have opted to raise rates this week if it were not for one reason: its $9 trillion balance sheet. The Fed is still in the process of bringing its pandemic-era policy of growing its massive balance sheet to a full stop. In December, the FOMC charted a course for ending its purchases of U.S. Treasuries and agency mortgage-backed securities (aimed at messaging to markets its intention to keep borrowing costs low) by mid-March.Raising interest rates while the Fed is still buying bonds could send mixed messages to markets, which is why Fed officials have made it clear they would not raise interest rates until that process is done.As the Fed raises interest rates, the FOMC will then likely turn its attention to actively shrinking its balance sheet — by allowing maturing securities to roll off of its books.“We probably will decide to start reducing the balance sheet sooner rather than later,” Chicago Fed President Charles Evans told reporters on Jan. 13.Doing so could allow the Fed to quell inflation with fewer rate hikes, since shrinking its asset holdings should have the effect of tilting higher longer-term interest rates (which it does not directly control as well as short-term rates). The conversation over how to handle any balance sheet runoff will likely pick up steam in this week’s meeting.Market SnapshotAt 04:46 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis were up 364 points, or 1.06%, S&P 500 e-minis were up 60.75 points, or 1.40%, and Nasdaq 100 e-minis were up 294.50 points, or 2.08%.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":989,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":162528403,"gmtCreate":1624068649202,"gmtModify":1703828081810,"author":{"id":"3560223458534375","authorId":"3560223458534375","name":"zzcloud88zz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c778f20822cc4b80c4c832a0775addbf","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3560223458534375","idStr":"3560223458534375"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like & Comment!!!","listText":"Like & Comment!!!","text":"Like & Comment!!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":6,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/162528403","repostId":"1156696708","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":928,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3580629550243320","authorId":"3580629550243320","name":"小小馒头","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8662af09a6a7d2e9548f6a2e76832bc6","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3580629550243320","idStr":"3580629550243320"},"content":"Please reply back, thanks!","text":"Please reply back, thanks!","html":"Please reply back, thanks!"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":181323641,"gmtCreate":1623374893583,"gmtModify":1704201953772,"author":{"id":"3560223458534375","authorId":"3560223458534375","name":"zzcloud88zz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c778f20822cc4b80c4c832a0775addbf","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3560223458534375","idStr":"3560223458534375"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Really is quick...pls like n comment","listText":"Really is quick...pls like n comment","text":"Really is quick...pls like n comment","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":6,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/181323641","repostId":"1130406324","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":507,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3580629550243320","authorId":"3580629550243320","name":"小小馒头","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8662af09a6a7d2e9548f6a2e76832bc6","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3580629550243320","idStr":"3580629550243320"},"content":"Commented, follow for follow?","text":"Commented, follow for follow?","html":"Commented, follow for follow?"},{"author":{"id":"3582433915660008","authorId":"3582433915660008","name":"BoJio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/87d3016052dafbf40c829db0d23d97c5","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3582433915660008","idStr":"3582433915660008"},"content":"Ok, Comment bacK thanks","text":"Ok, Comment bacK thanks","html":"Ok, Comment bacK thanks"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":114116892,"gmtCreate":1623056774216,"gmtModify":1704195159536,"author":{"id":"3560223458534375","authorId":"3560223458534375","name":"zzcloud88zz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c778f20822cc4b80c4c832a0775addbf","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3560223458534375","idStr":"3560223458534375"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"EV? running through the stock market, chip makers have been hit harder than most.
\n
The iShares Semiconductor ETF is down over 6% from recent highs, compared to declines of 2% or less for the S&P 500,Nasdaq Composite and the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
\n
Does that make chip stocks a buy? Or is this historically cyclical sector up to its old tricks and headed into a sustained downtrend that will rip your face off.
\n
A lot depends on your timeline but if you like to own stocks for years rather than rent them for days, the group is a buy. The chief reason: “It’s different this time.”
\n
Those are admittedly among the scariest words in investing. But the chip sector has changed so much it really is different now – in ways that suggest it is less likely to crush you.
\n
You’d be a fool to think there are no risks. I’ll go over those. But first, here are the three main reasons why the group is “safer” now – and six names favored by the half-dozen sector experts I’ve talked with over the past several days.
\n
1. The wicked witch of cyclicality is dead
\n
“Demand in the chip sector was always boom and bust, driven by product cycles,” says David Winborne, a portfolio manager at Impax Asset Management. “First PCs, then servers, then phones.” But now demand for chips has broadened across the economy so the secular growth story is more predictable, he says.
\n
Just look around you. Because of the increased “digitalization” of our lives and work, there’s greater diversity of end market demand from all angles. Think remote office services like Zoom, online shopping, cloud services, electric vehicles, 5G phones, smart factories, big data computing and even washing machines, points out Hendi Susanto, a portfolio manager and tech analyst at Gabelli Funds who is bullish on the group.
\n
“There is no aspect of the modern digital economy that can function without semiconductors,” says Motley Fool chip sector analyst John Rotonti. “That means more chips going into everything. The long-term demand is there.”
\n
He’s not kidding. Chip sector revenue will double by 2030 to $1 trillion from $465 billion in 2020, predicts William Blair analyst Greg Scolaro.
\n
All of this means the widespread supply shortages you’ve been hearing about “likely won’t be cured until sometime late next year,” says Bank of America chip sector analyst Vivek Arya. “That’s not just our view, but one confirmed by a majority of large customers.”
\n
2. The players have consolidated
\n
All up and down the production chain, from design through the various types of equipment producers to manufacturing, industry players have consolidated down into what Rotonti calls “earned” duopolies or monopolies.
\n
In chip design software, you have Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys. In production equipment, companies dominate specialized niches like ASML in extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV). Manufacturing is dominated by Taiwan Semiconductor and Samsung Electronics.
\n
These companies earned their niche or duopoly status by being the best at what they do. This makes them interesting for investors. The consolidation also means players behave more rationally in terms of pricing and production capacity, says Rotonti.
\n
3. Profitability has improved
\n
This more rational behavior, combined with cost cutting, means profitability is now much higher than it was historically. “The economics of chip making has improved massively over past few years,” says Winbourne. Cash flow or EBITDA margins are often now over 30% whereas a decade ago they were in the 20% range.
\n
This has implications for valuation. Though chip stocks trade at about a market multiple, they appear cheap because they are better companies, points out Lamar Villere, portfolio manager with Villere & Co. “They are not trading at a frothy multiple.”
\n
The stocks to buy
\n
Here are six names favored by chip experts I recently checked in with.
\n
New management plays
\n
Though Peter Karazeris, a senior equity research analyst at Thrivent, has reasons to be cautious on the group (see below), he singles out two companies whose performance may get a boost because they are under new management: Qualcomm and ON Semiconductor.
\n
Both have solid profitability. Qualcomm was recently hit by one-off issues like bad weather in Texas that disrupted production, but the company has good exposure to the 5G phone trend. ON Semiconductor is expanding beyond phones into new areas like autos, industrial and the Internet of Things connected-device space.
\n
A data center and gaming play
\n
Karazeris also singles out Nvidia, which gets a continuing boost from its exposure to data center and gaming device chip demand — because of its superior design prowess.
\n
Design tool companies
\n
Speaking of design, when companies like Qualcomm and NVIDIA want to design chips, they turn to the design tools supplied by Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys.
\n
Their software-based design tools help chip innovators create the blueprint for their chips, explains Rotonti at Motley Fool, who singles out these names. “They are not the fastest growers in the world, but they have good profit margins.” They also dominate the space.
\n
An EUV play
\n
To put those blueprints onto silicon in the early stages of chip production, companies like Taiwan Semiconductor and Samsung turn to ASML. Its machines use tiny bursts of light to stencil chip designs onto silicon wafers, in a process called extreme ultraviolet lithography. “No one else has figured out how to do it,” says Rotonti.
\n
In other words, it has a monopoly position in supplying machines that do this – which are necessary for any company that wants to make leading edge chips.
\n
Risks
\n
Here are some of the chief risks for chip sector investors to watch.
\n
Oversupply
\n
Chip production has become politicized. The U.S. wants more production at home so it is not vulnerable to disruptions in Chinese supply chains. China wants to make 70% of the chips it uses by 2025, up from 5% now, says Winborne.
\n
The upshot here is that there’s lots of government support to boost manufacturing – so there will be much more of it. The risk is oversupply at some point in the future. This might also create a pull forward in chip equipment purchases — leading to a lull down the road which could hurt sales and margin trends at equipment makers.
\n
Next, big tech companies like Alphabet,Apple and Ammazon.com are all doing their own chip design, which threatens specialized chip companies that do the same thing.
\n
Quantum computing
\n
Computers using chip designs based on quantum physics instead of traditional semiconductor architectures have superior performance, points out Scolaro at William Blair. “While it probably won’t become mainstream for at least another five years, quantum computing has the potential to transform everything from technology to healthcare.”
\n
A disturbing signal
\n
A blend of global purchasing managers (PMI) indexes peaked in April and then decelerated for three months. Meanwhile chip sales growth continued. Normally the two follow the same trend, points out Karazeris, who tracks this indicator at Thrivent. He chalks the divergence up to inventory building which is less sustainable than true end-market demand. So, he takes the divergence as a bearish signal for the chip sector.
\n
Another cautionary sign comes from the forecasted weakness in pricing for dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chips. “These are typically things you see at tops of cycles not the bottoms,” says Karazeris.
\n
But it’s also possible the slowdown in the global PMI is more a reflection of chip shortages than a sign that the shortages aren’t real (and are just inventory building). “The divergence doesn’t necessarily mean that chip orders are going to roll over and die. It means chip manufacturing has to catch up,” says Leuthold economist and strategist Jim Paulsen.
\n
Ford, for example, just announced it had to curtail production because of chip shortages, not a shortfall in underlying demand.
\n
Paulsen predicts decent economic growth is sustainable because of factors like high savings rates, the rebound in employment and incomes as well as pent-up demand for big ticket items. If he’s right, the continued economic strength would support demand for all the products that use chips – including Ford cars.
","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Buy the pullback in chip stocks — and focus on these 6 companies for the long haul
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nBuy the pullback in chip stocks — and focus on these 6 companies for the long haul\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-08-23 22:18 GMT+8 MarketWatch\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The iShares Semiconductor ETF is down over 6% from recent highs.\nISTOCKPHOTO\nIn the rolling correction that’s running through the stock market, chip makers have been hit harder than most.\nThe iShares ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"AMZN":"亚马逊","NVDA":"英伟达","AAPL":"苹果","SOXX":"iShares费城交易所半导体ETF","GOOGL":"谷歌A","QCOM":"高通","SNPS":"新思科技","GOOG":"谷歌","CDNS":"铿腾电子","SSNLF":"三星电子","ASML":"阿斯麦","ON":"安森美半导体","TSM":"台积电"},"source_url":"https://www.marketwatch.com/story/buy-the-pullback-in-chip-stocks-and-focus-on-these-6-companies-for-the-long-haul-11629468380?mod=home-page","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1151608193","content_text":"The iShares Semiconductor ETF is down over 6% from recent highs.\nISTOCKPHOTO\nIn the rolling correction that’s running through the stock market, chip makers have been hit harder than most.\nThe iShares Semiconductor ETF is down over 6% from recent highs, compared to declines of 2% or less for the S&P 500,Nasdaq Composite and the Dow Jones Industrial Average.\nDoes that make chip stocks a buy? With over $10 trillion of assets benchmarked against Russell's indexes, the inclusion may result in greater demand for the stock.
\n
The move to include thetech companyin the index less than a year after the stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) highlights how quickly fuboTV has managed to establish itself as an important company in streaming TV. Furthermore, Russell's addition of fuboTV comes at a time of incredible momentum for the company.
\n
A FUBOTV MENU. IMAGE SOURCE: FUBOTV.
\n
An important milestone
\n
With shares of fuboTV getting listed on the NYSE for the first time last October, the stock has garnered significant investment interest very quickly. Last fall, shares were initially trading around $12. Today, they're near $32.
\n
\"We are pleased with the interest fuboTV has received from the investor community in such a short period following our listing on the New York Stock Exchange last October,\" CEO David Gandler said in a press release on Tuesday. \"The addition of fuboTV to the Russell 3000 Index is an important milestone for the company as we stay laser-focused on defining a new category of interactive television while delivering significant shareholder value.\"
\n
fuboTV provides consumers with a convenient way to stream many of the sports that lots of people still watch on traditional television. But the streaming service has beenquickly taking shareas it tries to attract people to its service for live sports and then keep them around with a broad base of entertainment, including on-demand TV shows and movies. The company also plans to roll out sports betting on its platform.
\n
It's the underlying business that matters
\n
While fuboTV's inclusion in the Russell 3000 is an important milestone, investorsshouldn't count on that event to lift the stock. As is the case with any stock, it's usually the underlying business that will determine how it performs over the long haul.
\n
Fortunately, fuboTV's ad-supported streaming service is doing extremely well. With over $10 trillion of assets benchmarked against Russell's indexes, the inclusion may result in greater demand for the stock.\nThe move to include thetech companyin the index less than a year after the stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) highlights how quickly fuboTV has managed to establish itself as an important company in streaming TV. Furthermore, Russell's addition of fuboTV comes at a time of incredible momentum for the company.\nA FUBOTV MENU. IMAGE SOURCE: FUBOTV.\nAn important milestone\nWith shares of fuboTV getting listed on the NYSE for the first time last October, the stock has garnered significant investment interest very quickly. Last fall, shares were initially trading around $12. Today, they're near $32.\n\"We are pleased with the interest fuboTV has received from the investor community in such a short period following our listing on the New York Stock Exchange last October,\" CEO David Gandler said in a press release on Tuesday. \"The addition of fuboTV to the Russell 3000 Index is an important milestone for the company as we stay laser-focused on defining a new category of interactive television while delivering significant shareholder value.\"\nfuboTV provides consumers with a convenient way to stream many of the sports that lots of people still watch on traditional television. But the streaming service has beenquickly taking shareas it tries to attract people to its service for live sports and then keep them around with a broad base of entertainment, including on-demand TV shows and movies. The company also plans to roll out sports betting on its platform.\nIt's the underlying business that matters\nWhile fuboTV's inclusion in the Russell 3000 is an important milestone, investorsshouldn't count on that event to lift the stock. As is the case with any stock, it's usually the underlying business that will determine how it performs over the long haul.\nFortunately, fuboTV's ad-supported streaming service is doing extremely well. In the first quarter, the company bucked a trend of normal seasonality that typically leads to a sequential decline in subscribers and instead added 43,000 new subscribers during the quarter. On a year-over-year basis, subscribers soared 105% to more than 590,000.\nConsumers are choosing fuboTV because of its \"superior value, our year-round content offerings and a customer-centric, innovative consumer product experience relative to legacy pay TV (cable / satellite / telco),\" Gandler said in the company's first-quarter earnings release. \"We see this trend continuing to accelerate as more consumers discover they can cut the cord without losing access to the sports teams, live channels and content they love.\"\nSubscriber momentum combined with the ongoing shift of marketers' budgets from traditional television to connected TV is leading to extraordinary growth in its advertising revenue, which increased 206% year over year in the first quarter to $12.6 million.
