Inflation and higher interest rates made the sector's pricier \"hypergrowth\" stocks look a lot less appealing, and many investors rotated toward cheaper value plays. However, investors shouldn't recklessly dump all of their tech stocks. Instead, they should simply be more selective and focus on higher-yielding tech stocks with stable profits and low valuations instead. Here are three rock-solid companies that fit this description: Seagate Technology, Qualcomm, and Broadcom.1. Seagate TechnologySeagate is the world's largest manufacturer of platter-based, hard disk drives (HDDs). Over the past few years, HDDs have faced a lot of competition from flash-based, solid-state drives (SSDs), which are smaller, faster, more power efficient, and less prone to damage.Seagate's rival Western Digital expanded into first-party flash chips and SSDs to counter that secular trend. However, Seagate doubled down on HDDs and focused on selling cheaper and higher-capacity drives to cost-conscious enterprise and data center customers instead. That conservative strategy enabled Seagate to generate stable growth and plenty of cash, which it mostly returned to its investors through big buybacks and dividends. Seagate reduced its share count by 26% over the past five years, and it's paid continuous dividends for over a decade.Seagate pays a forward dividend yield of 3.3%, and it's raised its payout annually for three straight years. It spent just 43% of its free cash flow (FCF) on those payments over the past 12 months, which gives it plenty of room for future hikes.Seagate faces some supply-chain challenges and a post-lockdown deceleration in PC sales, but it's offsetting those headwinds with the robust growth of its cloud and data center businesses. As a result, analysts still expect its revenue and earnings to grow 12% and 58%, respectively, in fiscal 2022 (which ends in July). Those are impressive growth rates for a stock that trades at just nine times forward earnings.2. QualcommQualcomm is one of the world's largest producers of mobile baseband modems and system-on-chips (SoCs), which conveniently bundle together a CPU, GPU, and a modem in a single package for smartphone makers. It also owns a massive portfolio of wireless patents, which entitles it to a cut of every smartphone sold worldwide -- even those that don't use its chips.Qualcomm's stock shed a quarter of its value this year as investors fretted over decelerating smartphone sales and other macroeconomic headwinds. However, that sell-off reduced Qualcomm's forward price-to-earnings ratio to just 13 and boosted its forward dividend yield to about 2%.Qualcomm spent 41% of its FCF on its dividends over the past 12 months, and has raised its dividend annually for nearly two decades. It also reduced its share count by 24% over the past five years.Investors might be worried about Qualcomm's near-term challenges, but the chipmaker continues to grow its share of the premium smartphone market against its main rival MediaTek as it returns most of its FCF (74% last year) to investors through big buybacks and dividends.Analysts still expect its revenue and earnings to grow 27% and 39%, respectively, this year, before cooling off in 2023. Qualcomm has weathered plenty of cyclical downturns before, so I think it's still the right time to accumulate more shares of this out-of-favor chipmaker.3. BroadcomBroadcom is often recognized as a major supplier for Apple, which accounted for about 20% of its revenue last year. However, the company also produces a wide range of chips for the data center, networking, software, storage, and industrial markets. In addition, it generates nearly a quarter of its revenue from infrastructure software.Today's Broadcom was previously known as Avago Technologies, a Singapore-based chipmaker that acquired the original Broadcom and assumed its brand in 2016. It continued to grow both organically and through big acquisitions -- which included the network switch maker Brocade in 2016, the enterprise software provider CA Technologies in 2018, and Symantec's enterprise security business in 2019.Between 2016 and 2021, Broadcom's annual revenue grew at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.7% as its adjusted earnings per share (EPS) increased at a CAGR of 19.6%. Analysts expect its revenue and EPS to grow another 16% and 27%, respectively, this year. Those growth rates are impressive, but Broadcom still trades at just 17 times forward earnings. It also pays a high forward dividend yield of 2.8%, and it's raised its payout annually for over a decade. The company spent just 47% of its FCF on its dividends over the past 12 months, and it remains committed to spending about half of its prior-year FCF on dividends this year.Broadcom's shareholder-friendly measures, well-diversified business, and low valuation all make it a reliable investment for this volatile market.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"QCOM":0.9,"STX":0.9,"AVGO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1941,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9017613893,"gmtCreate":1649771655780,"gmtModify":1676534570823,"author":{"id":"3570577365102413","authorId":"3570577365102413","name":"AxThePro","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/34f34509388e5b73a59321b8fe9c49fc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570577365102413","idStr":"3570577365102413"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok sure. //@Lingclass:Play tgt. Social media giant Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:FB) broke a record that no company wants: It lost $230 billion in market value the day after releasing its earnings report, the largest one-day valuation wipeout in stock market history. It exacerbated the decline in the tech-centric Nasdaq 100 index, which is now down 13% year to date. But 2022 hasn't been all bad news. Several companies have reported incredibly strong financial results over the last month, and here are four of the top performers.Image source: Getty Images.1. Amazon: Up 10%Global e-commerce leader Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) saw its stock pop after announcing an $11.8 billion gain on its investment in electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive. That was the primary driver of the company's strong fourth-quarter earnings per share, making up 82% of its $14.3 billion in net income. But as always, Amazon gave investors plenty of core-business action to be excited about. For the first time ever, it reported its advertising segment as a separate line item, showing $31 billion in revenue that even trounced ad-reliant platforms like Alphabet's (NASDAQ:GOOG)(NASDAQ:GOOGL) YouTube. The company's cloud services platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS), continued to be the savior of its profitability, making up 74% of overall operating income in the full-year 2021, despite representing just 13% of revenue. While its Rivian investment won't carry the company forever, Amazon's expanding group of core businesses makes it a great long-term buy.2. Zillow Group: Up 12%Zillow Group (NASDAQ:Z)(NASDAQ:ZG) owns a collection of 10 real estate businesses leveraging technology to improve the homebuying and selling experience. It's suffering through a tumultuous period right now, since it announced the closure of its home-flipping segment, Zillow Offers, after making substantial losses. Its stock has collapsed by 74% from its all-time high as a result, but it caught a 12% gain after its Feb. 10 earnings report showed a faster-than-expected wind down of the troubled segment, with smaller losses. And Zillow has unveiled plans for a new \"housing super-app,\" which will build upon its existing market-leading app that boasts three times more daily users than its nearest competitor. The new iteration will expand Zillow's services to capture a greater slice of the housing market's $300 billion in annual transaction fees. Users will be connected to Zillow's partners to facilitate buying, selling, and financing, among other things. The company estimates these solutions will generate $5 billion in annual revenue by 2025, making Zillow an unrivaled digital real estate powerhouse. But the company will have some serious work to do, because the now-closed Zillow Offers was responsible for $6 billion of the company's $8 billion in revenue during 2021. It won't be easy to replace.Image source: Getty Images.3. Bill.com: Up 39%Running a small business isn't easy, especially if it's a one-person operation. Tracking invoices and payments can be challenging in high volumes, and that's the problem Bill.com (NYSE:BILL) solves. Its cloud-based digital in-box is an aggregator for invoices to prevent them from being lost, missed, or sent to the wrong place. Then, its integrations with leading accounting software platforms allow one-click payments, seamlessly logging the transactions in the books.Bill.com reported its fiscal second-quarter results on Feb. 3, and blew away all expectations. It generated $156.5 million in total revenue, which represented 190% year-over-year growth. The company is still in its growth phase, so it doesn't have a history of profitability, but on an adjusted basis, it managed to deliver a break-even quarter, a step in the right direction. But perhaps the most significant development in Bill.com's fiscal second-quarter report was its increase in guidance. The company now expects up to $600 million in revenue for the fiscal full year, up from the $541 million it predicted in the first quarter. Also, it expects a significant narrowing of its adjusted fiscal full-year loss, to $0.43 per share, down from $0.77.The company's 2021 acquisitions of Divvy and Invoice2go have allowed it to expand into new verticals, and clearly it's paying off.4. Snap: Up 61%Social media giant Snap (NYSE:SNAP) is one of the top performers this earnings season. It told the market it has recovered more quickly than expected from the privacy changes imposed by smartphone device makers Apple and Alphabet's Google, which owns the Android operating system. It was a welcome relief for investors after its fierce rival, Meta Platforms, revealed significant struggles with the same issue just days before in its own report, warning the new rules could cost that company $10 billion this year.Snap reported a record-high $4.1 billion in full-year 2021 revenue, a 64% increase from 2020. It also had its first-ever profitable period in the fourth quarter, and after years of delivering losses, analysts think 2022 could be the first time it generates a full-year profit. But Snap's most exciting prospects might come over the long term, as it follows an approach to the metaverse that differs from the conventional path. Investors might benefit from holding its stock while it continues to build on its augmented-reality technology to bring that vision to life.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"GOOG":1,"Z":1,"ZG":1,"BILL":1,"SNAP":1,"FB":1,"GOOGL":1,"AMZN":1,"NQmain":0.78}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":816,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9095281263,"gmtCreate":1644928867757,"gmtModify":1676533976246,"author":{"id":"3570577365102413","authorId":"3570577365102413","name":"AxThePro","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/34f34509388e5b73a59321b8fe9c49fc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570577365102413","idStr":"3570577365102413"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Join me. The company had about two dozen employees before the deal.Technology developed by AI Music can create soundtracks using royalty-free music and artificial intelligence, according to a copy of its now-defunct website. The idea is to generate dynamic soundtracks that change based on user interaction. A song in a video game could change to fit the mood, for instance, or music during a workout could adapt to the user’s intensity. On its LinkedIn page, AI Music said its goal is to “give consumers the power to choose the music they want, seamlessly edited to fit their needs or create dynamic solutions that adapt to fit their audiences.” The startup had earlier deals with advertising companies to create more engaging ads that played different music depending on the audience.A representative of Cupertino, California-based Apple declined to comment. While relatively small, the deal is one of the tech giant’s few acquisitions in the past year. Apple’s last reported purchase was also for a music company: Primephonic. That startup ran a classical music streaming service that Apple intends to turn into an app tied to Apple Music this year.Apple dramatically slowed down its acquisition spending during 2021, devoting only $33 million to deal payments over the fiscal year, according to a filing in October. That’s down from $1.5 billion in 2020 and $624 million in 2019.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AAPL":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":488,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":886627236,"gmtCreate":1631587694225,"gmtModify":1676530583380,"author":{"id":"3570577365102413","authorId":"3570577365102413","name":"AxThePro","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/34f34509388e5b73a59321b8fe9c49fc","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570577365102413","idStr":"3570577365102413"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Please like and comment. Nio ES8 driver dies while driving with NOP Pilot.
\n

\n
On August 14, the official Wechat for “Meiyihao” published an obituary for its founder, Lin Wenqin, stating that he had died on August 12 in a traffic accident. The release mentions that Lin’s vehicle, a Nio ES8, had its autonomous driving function (NOP pilot status) engaged at the time of the accident.
\n
“Navigate on Pilot (NOP) is not the same as autonomous driving. The results of subsequent investigations will be public,” said a staff member from Nio’s brand department.
\n
This is Nio’s second fatal accident in 15 days. On July 30, a Nio EC6 in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area burst into flames after hitting a stone mound on a highway. The driver died.
\n
According to images of the scene that have spread online, the ES8 driven by Mr. Lin hit a bucket on the side of the road and then hit a highway maintenance vehicle in the fast lane at high speed, causing the vehicle to violently overturn. Some online commenters pointed out that the speed limit at the site is 120 kilometers per hour.
\n
Nio launched the NOP function at the Beijing Auto Show in September 2020, and soon after unveiled its ability to automatically assist driving in accordance with the navigation route under the specified path.
\n
The system works on the basis of adaptive cruise, lane departure suppression and other functions. Through the navigation system, it can automatically change lanes, overtake another vehicle, enter/leave highway ramps, control the driving speed, and other operations.
\n
According to Nio’s website, the ES8 is equipped with the NIO Pilot automatic assist driving hardware system, which uses a trinocular, four round-view cameras, five millimeter-wave radars and twelve ultrasonic sensors.
\n
Nio makes it clear in the manual that “like Pilot and other driver assistance functions, NOP cannot respond to static obstacles, such as roadblocks, warning triangles, etc. If there is an accident or construction area ahead, please immediately take over the vehicle to control the direction and speed.
\n
A NIO EC6 owner confirmed to Chinese media outlet Huxiu that by engaging the NOP function does not require the driver to watch a video or answer any questions or other similar learning measures. A Nio salesman also confirmed, “We will explain the function in the test drive and emphasize its abilities. The assisting driving requires the owner to be ready to take over. But I don’t think there are any instructional videos.”
\n
Nio’s rival, Li Auto, noted that drivers of its 2021 Ideal ONE model will go through two lessons upon delivery. In the first lesson, the user will be given a piece of driving assistance when picking up the car. After activating the car, the user must watch a video about the the driving assistance function before activating the feature.
\n
Guidance released by the MIIT on August 12 shows that enterprises shall set up a self-checking mechanism. If they find any problems in regard to data security, network security, online upgrade safety, driving assistance and automatic driving safety, they shall immediately stop the production and sale of relevant products and correct them immediately.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
EV stocks fell in premarket trading
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nEV stocks fell in premarket trading\n
\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Tiger Newspress
\n
2021-08-16 16:32
\n
\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
(Aug 16) Xpeng, Nio fell over 4% in premarket trading.
