href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one trading session this week after the company announced a 20-for-one stock split. That's like a breath of fresh air for investors. The retail giant's shares have struggled this year, dropping 11% so far. And that's after finishing last year with an increase of less than 3%.

If you're an Amazon shareholder, a stock split doesn't change much for you through the actual operation itself. For every one share you own, you'll have 19 more after the split. But the total value of your holding remains the same. Imagine a pie cut into slices. Whether you buy the pie uncut or cut into slices, its value doesn't change. But the planned stock split does change something for potential Amazon investors -- and this could lead to share gains down the road.

A roadblock for certain investors

The problem with Amazon in recent years has been the high price of its stock. It's been a roadblock for certain individual investors who want to make a small initial investment. Amazon stock reached a high of more than $3,600 last year. It's since come down to the $2,800 range. Of course, there's the possibility of buying fractional shares. But not all brokerage firms offer them. And some investors prefer buying at least one full share or more of a company.

The stock split -- considering today's price -- will take the price of each share down to about $150. If shareholders approve the plan during the annual meeting in May, the split will happen in early June. So, the stock split opens the door to making investment in Amazon a little easier for a wide range of investors. As a result, more of them may buy shares of the retail giant.

That's great news for shareholders and potential shareholders. But the split itself isn't the reason to buy Amazon. That's just a little plus that may jump-start share performance in the coming months. Here's the reason to add Amazon to your portfolio for the long term: The strength of its e-commerce and cloud computing businesses.

Amazon has been growing annual revenue and net income for a number of years -- and both figures have reached well into the billions.

AMZN Net Income (Annual) data by YCharts

A leader in both businesses

The company is a leader in both of its businesses. Various fast and free delivery options mean members are likely to favor ordering on Amazon versus anywhere else. In the fourth quarter, Amazon said it added "millions" of new Prime members worldwide.

As for cloud computing, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has continued to maintain a 32% to 33% share of the market over the past four years, according to Synergy Research Group. The closest rival is Microsoft, with a 21% share. AWS has picked up major contracts in recent months -- such as a deal to support Nasdaq's markets. This is part of Nasdaq's plan to become the first complete cloud-based exchange.

So the future looks bright for AWS. And this is important for Amazon, since AWS is a key profit driver. Last year, AWS represented 74% of Amazon's total operating income.

None of Amazon's fundamentals change because of the stock split. But as I mentioned above, the split opens the door to more potential investors. In other words, software.

This year's keynote was a bit different: It also had hardware.

No, there wasn't any mention of the hotly anticipated virtual-reality headset at the Monday keynote, which was pretaped but shown to an in-person audience of media and developers at the company's Cupertino, Calif., headquarters. Nor was there any mention of the next iPhone, which will likely come in September. However, Apple unveiled its latest processor, the M2, and with it a revamped MacBook Air and an upgraded MacBook Pro.

Of course, most of the screen time dwelt on iOS 16, iPad OS 16, WatchOS 9 and MacOS Ventura, the updates expected to be free this fall. Free for those of you with supported devices, that is. (Sorry iPhone 7 users, you didn't make the cut.) Here are the most noteworthy hardware and software highlights from the event.

New MacBook Air and Pro

The MacBook Air got a new look and the more powerful, battery-efficient M2 chip. It ditches the classic Air wedge for all straight edges, and there's a new deep-blue color option. One feature that made me double take: The MagSafe charging cable is back. So if you trip on your power cord, that detaches without taking your whole laptop with it.

It has a larger 13.6-inch display, up from 13.3 inches. It also has an improved 1080p webcam, up from 720p, surrounded by a notch reminiscent of the latest iPhones. It's a touch thinner and lighter, though the overall footprint is just slightly larger. (We're talking millimeters here.)

The new MacBook Air starts at $1,199 -- a $200 price hike. A 30-watt brick is included with the base configuration, but if you pay $20 extra, or choose a pricier configuration, you can get it with either a new 35-watt compact adapter option with two USB-C ports or a 67-watt adapter. Both will also be sold separately for $59.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is getting a processor bump to the M2, but remains relatively unchanged beyond that. It starts at $1,299. Apple said both laptops will be available next month.

iOS 16

Come this fall, you'll be able to edit and recall sent messages in the Messages app. The functionality will be available for 15 minutes after you send it. And if you're overloaded with messages and want to revisit any, you'll be able to mark them as unread, like an email.

The Fitness app, previously reserved for Apple Watch users, will be available to everyone. The iPhone's motion sensors, which already estimate your steps and distance for the Health app, will show that data in the Fitness app, alongside workouts from third-party apps such as Strava.

Your lock screen -- the screen you see when you're checking the time a hundred times a day -- is about to get fancier. Android phones have long had custom lockscreens and were once the object of iPhoners' (read: my) envy. At last, iPhones will show calendar events, weather and other customizable information at a glance, without you needing to unlock the device. You can also personalize the font and color of the clock. You can set up multiple lock screens and associate them with different Focus Modes, a suite of complicated but useful custom Do Not Disturb settings.

In iOS 16, you'll be able to dictate with your voice and edit the text with the touch screen simultaneously, by selecting text with your finger then speaking new words, for example.

Apple redesigned the way parents can set age restrictions on their kids' content, making it easier to do more. Another parental control change: Screen-time requests can be granted or denied right from the Messages app.

In the Photos app, families will be able to create shared libraries. For instance, all the pictures everyone takes on a family vacation can be shared either voluntarily or automatically based on your preferences.

I wish my car had CarPlay, Apple's iPhone-friendly, in-vehicle infotainment system. Now that Apple teased the next generation of CarPlay, I'm thinking about holding off on my next vehicle purchase. It's a full Apple takeover of the dashboard, so you get speed and other standard instrument data superimposed on top of turn-by-turn directions. And while Apple listed partners including Ford, Honda and Volvo, the company said vehicle announcements aren't due until late 2023.

MacOS Ventura

Your iPhone's high-resolution camera can become your next Mac webcam with what's called Continuity Camera. I've used an app called Reincubate Camo to do the same thing, but the native Mac version will have more bells and whistles. The software automatically keeps your video in frame as you move, blurs your background and applies lighting features to brighten the image.

Desk View shows a second angle, a birds-eye view of your desk for demos, by just using the iPhone's ultrawide-angle camera and image processing. (Before deploying this feature, make sure there's nothing on your desk you wouldn't want colleagues to see.) Apple says it's working with Belkin to create mounts, due later this year, for perching an iPhone on a MacBook's open top.

Passwords are out, passkeys are in. Safari will support passkeys, which use the biometric sensors in your device to authenticate logins. That means no passwords to remember or store in a password manager. You just need the device that's on you. Apple is working to make passkeys compatible with online services by way of the FIDO Alliance, an industry group, so it's likely other devices and operating systems will follow suit. It's a big step toward a password-less future.

iPadOS 16

As a longtime iPad-as-computer person, I have been waiting for this software update. I have spent years mastering the iPad's many complicated multitasking gestures, but now they may not be necessary.

With iPadOS 16, the tablet will behave more like a Mac. The windows of different applications overlap, and you can resize them freely, instead of using Apple's predetermined proportions. For iPads with the M1 chip, there's even full external display support. With a monitor connected, those tablets will be able to run up to eight apps simultaneously. When you lump in past additions such as mouse support, you can finally see iPads becoming "real" computers. (But I'll test this in the fall to make sure.)

WatchOS 9

There are a slew of new health and fitness features for the watch.

A feature to help remind you to take and log medications will be built into the Apple Watch with WatchOS 9, and it will also be in the Health app on the iPhone with iOS 16. You can share the medication log with family members, and the app can note any potentially dangerous interactions between the medications, supplements and vitamins you're taking. Snap a picture of the medication's label with an iPhone to automatically add it to the app.

Sleep tracking can sometimes hurt more than it helps, but for those who do like a record of their good night's rest, or lack thereof, the watch will show time spent in different sleep stages.

While working out, you will get a new heart-rate zone view to gauge intensity level.

Apple says it's working with Belkin to create mounts, due later this year, for perching an iPhone on a MacBook's open top.

Runners can see their vertical oscillation, stride length or ground contact time metrics, and both runners and cyclists can compare current and past performance on the same route. But the idea certainly applies. It's never a straight path upward -- even for the most promising stocks.

We've seen a perfect example of this in recent months. Many top stocks have plunged. And that actually makes them even better picks for long-term investors. Here are three growth stocks to buy that have crashed more than 60%.

1. Teladoc Health

Shares of Teladoc Health (NYSE:TDOC) have plummeted close to 70% from the peak set in early 2021. Investors worried that the virtual care provider's valuation got too frothy after a huge run-up fueled by COVID-19 lockdowns.

However, it's a mistake to think that Teladoc's fortunes hinge on the coronavirus. The company's revenue growth and visit volumes have continued to increase even with most lockdowns becoming a distant memory. People who have tried virtual visits liked their experience. Eighty-two percent of consumers said that telehealth was equal to or better than in-person care, according to a survey conducted by Piper Sandler.

Teladoc estimates that its total addressable market tops $260 billion annually. To put that into perspective, the company will probably record revenue of around $2 billion for 2021 and currently sports a market cap of $12 billion. What's even more impressive is that $75 billion of Teladoc's total addressable market opportunity lies within its existing member base.

Sure, Teladoc faces some competition. But it's indisputably the leader in virtual care with the broadest array of products and services, the widest geographical reach, and the biggest client base.

2. Pinterest

Like Teladoc, Pinterest (NYSE:PINS) stock is down close to 70% from its high set early last year. The steep sell-off stemmed primarily from declining monthly average user (MAU) volumes.

However, those falling MAU numbers really aren't as troubling as some might think. The underlying reason is the explosion in users that Pinterest experienced during the 2020 pandemic lockdowns. Even with the declines, the company's MAU numbers remain well above pre-pandemic levels.

Importantly, Pinterest's average revenue per user (ARPU) continues to grow robustly. It has plenty of room to improve. The company's ARPU is less than one-sixth of what Meta Platforms pulls in with its Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp apps.

There's a good argument that Pinterest's best days are yet to come. The company doesn't face the controversies that have plagued other top social media stocks. Thanks to the big decline over the past 12 months, its shares are also attractively valued. Once Pinterest moves past its challenging year-over-year MAU comparisons, the stock could deliver a strong rebound.

3. Novocure

Novocure's (NASDAQ:NVCR) share price has plunged more than 65% since June 2021. The primary issue for the company is that its revenue growth has been weak. But investors should focus on Novocure's long-term prospects instead of its current malaise.

Don't look for a return to soaring sales growth this year. Novocure projects that the number of patients using its Tumor Treating Fields (TTF) to treat glioblastoma (an aggressive type of brain cancer) and malignant pleural mesothelioma will increase only 2% to 5%.

However, TTF holds promise in using electrical fields to disrupt the replication of tumor cells in other types of cancer. Novocure expects to report results from its phase 3 study of TTF in treating non-small cell lung cancer and its phase 2 study in gastric cancer this year. The company also anticipates that an interim analysis from a late-stage study for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer will wrap up in the second quarter of 2022. But the idea certainly applies. It's never a straight path upward -- even for the most promising stocks. We've seen a perfect example of this in recent months. Many top stocks have plunged. And that actually makes them even better picks for long-term investors. Here are three growth stocks to buy that have crashed more than 60%.1. Teladoc HealthShares of Teladoc Health (NYSE:TDOC) have plummeted close to 70% from the peak set in early 2021. Eighty-two percent of consumers said that telehealth was equal to or better than in-person care, according to a survey conducted by Piper Sandler.Teladoc estimates that its total addressable market tops $260 billion annually. To put that into perspective, the company will probably record revenue of around $2 billion for 2021 and currently sports a market cap of $12 billion. What's even more impressive is that $75 billion of Teladoc's total addressable market opportunity lies within its existing member base.Sure, Teladoc faces some competition. But it's indisputably the leader in virtual care with the broadest array of products and services, the widest geographical reach, and the biggest client base.2. PinterestLike Teladoc, Pinterest (NYSE:PINS) stock is down close to 70% from its high set early last year. The steep sell-off stemmed primarily from declining monthly average user (MAU) volumes. However, those falling MAU numbers really aren't as troubling as some might think. The underlying reason is the explosion in users that Pinterest experienced during the 2020 pandemic lockdowns. Even with the declines, the company's MAU numbers remain well above pre-pandemic levels.Importantly, Pinterest's average revenue per user (ARPU) continues to grow robustly. Once Pinterest moves past its challenging year-over-year MAU comparisons, the stock could deliver a strong rebound.3. NovocureNovocure's (NASDAQ:NVCR) share price has plunged more than 65% since June 2021. The primary issue for the company is that its revenue growth has been weak. But investors should focus on Novocure's long-term prospects instead of its current malaise.Don't look for a return to soaring sales growth this year. Novocure projects that the number of patients using its Tumor Treating Fields (TTF) to treat glioblastoma (an aggressive type of brain cancer) and malignant pleural mesothelioma will increase only 2% to 5%.However, TTF holds promise in using electrical fields to disrupt the replication of tumor cells in other types of cancer. Final data from this study should be on the way next year.In addition, Novocure plans to kick off a limited launch in Europe later this year for its next-generation array. The company thinks this array will increase TTF's dose delivery with less heat generation, which could increase the efficacy of the therapy.Several catalysts are on the way for this beaten-down healthcare stock. Patient investors who buy Novocure could be richly rewarded.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":229,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9003999498,"gmtCreate":1640837764661,"gmtModify":1676533546751,"author":{"id":"3572320112827115","authorId":"3572320112827115","name":"Unrelearn","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3cd8ae13ba7bc896e83442496638227","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572320112827115","authorIdStr":"3572320112827115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[Like] ","listText":"[Like] ","text":"[Like]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9003999498","repostId":"1112468184","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1112468184","pubTimestamp":1640826006,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1112468184?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-12-30 09:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"These Are Tech's 10 Megatrends for 2022 — and the Stocks to Buy","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1112468184","media":"Marketwatch","summary":"It’s been a turbulent year for stock markets – record levels across all major indexes despite an ons","content":"

It’s been a turbulent year for stock markets – record levels across all major indexes despite an onslaught of economic worries and what feels like never-ending variants of Covid-19. Now it’s time to look ahead to 10 major technology trends and which companies show the most promise to win big in 2022.

Cloud computing

Top pick: Amazon

Amazon AMZN has enjoyed the leadership position in Cloud for some time, and its AWS business now tops $16 billion in revenue a quarter. However, there have been two notable AWS outages in recent months. More broadly, Amazon’s stock price has badly lagged the S&P 500 SPX in 2021 with a gain of only 4.8% through Dec. 28. Yet given that enterprise cloud investment is not expected to slow in 2022 and that AWS is Amazon’s cash-cow business, I expect the new year to be better for Amazon shareholders.

Keep an eye out for: Oracle

Oracle ORCL enjoyed a substantial growth year, capped off by a $28 billion deal to acquire Cerner, which sells software that helps doctors access and analyze medical records. In 2021, Oracle provided a peek into its Cloud growth, a business now exceeding $10 billion annually. Combined with its strong stock performance — up 37% through Dec. 28 — and stability in volatile markets, Oracle looks primed for more growth in 2022.

Metaverse

Top pick: Roblox

Meta Platforms FB (once known as Facebook) may be receiving much credit for the popularization of the Metaverse. However, Roblox RBLX has spent 17 years creating immersive experiences that could be considered the Metaverse. It claims that half of U.S. children are on the platform and that a developer community of 10 million has created more than 24 million experiences on the Roblox platform.

While Meta and others look to AR and VR to create the Metaverse experience. Roblox has taken a more real-world approach to its gaming platform that has made it a real leader in the space. This practical approach coupled with continued platform adoption should lead to continued gains as the popularization of the technology leads to more investors looking to get into the space.

Keep an eye out for: NVIDIA

CEO Jensen Huang doesn’t acknowledge the Metaverse, but the company NVDA has been playing a pivotal role in developing this technology with its Omniverse Platform. With 40 million developers looking for the tools to unlock the Metaverse, NVIDIA’s technology seems primed to be a critical contributor, and we will most likely see NVIDIA continue to run alongside this trend in 2022.

5G

Top pick: Qualcomm

5G has been a hot topic for a few years, but the technology gained steam in 2021 with more than 560 million 5G handsets shipping worldwide. Qualcomm QCOM benefits as both a leading chip maker and licenser of 5G technologies that goes into nearly every 5G-enabled handset. The year ahead will be another big year for 5G. It won’t just be handsets, but also automotive, IoT, infrastructure and more–all of which are beneficial to Qualcomm.

Keep an eye out for: Apple

As part of their 2019 settlement, Apple AAPL still depends on Qualcomm for 5G chipsets and technology as part of its license agreement, which may last longer than most think. However, since rolling out its iPhone 13 with 5G, the company has quickly become the world’s leader in 5G handset shipments, accounting for nearly one-third of all 5G handsets worldwide. While I’ve been critical of the lack of 5G mmWave in its international units, I think that will come with the next generation, meaning more sales, more revenue and even happier shareholders.

Digital transformation

Top pick: Microsoft

Microsoft MSFT has had a great year, with the stock up 53% though Dec. 28 and both revenue and profit continuing to grow every quarter under the leadership of Satya Nadella. Its portfolio from software to cloud to devices is one of the most, if not the most comprehensive, to meet the needs of enterprises in their transition to digital. Even with rising interest rates, inflation, and COVID-19, it’s hard to see a scenario where Microsoft’s stock doesn’t continue its ascent.

Keep an eye out for: Alphabet

With stock-market gains of 67% thought Dec. 28, Google parent Alphabet GOOG GOOGL has outperformed Microsoft. While a lot of its business success can be attributed to its massive ad revenue, Alphabet has quietly built up a modern productivity suite that includes Cloud, SaaS, business applications, collaboration, and more. That makes it a great partner for companies looking to expedite their digital transformation. With the ad business underpinning the company, I believe Alphabet’s bets on enabling digital for enterprise and SMB will help it keep its momentum in 2022.

E-commerce and customer experience

Top pick: Adobe

Amazon may feel like the low-hanging fruit here, but I think 2022 will be a big year for Adobe. The company’s stock recently took a significant hit following its earnings and investor day. Still, its stack of creative and experience technologies for marketers puts it in the pole position for a strong bounce back in 2022. Adobe’s experience cloud, which enjoys a rising TAM to more than $200 billion by 2024, is something I feel investors should keep a close eye on, as this is where the most significant subsection of Adobe’s growth will come over the next few years.

Keep an eye out for: Twilio

Hit hard by the growth selloff, Twilio’s TWLO stock is down more than 23% thought Dec. 28. However, its technology, developer ecosystem, and several key acquisitions, including Segment CDP, put the company in an excellent position as one of the leading platforms for enterprises seeking to deliver best-of-breed customer experiences through mobile and digital platforms. It’s far from a sure thing, but the upside for Twilio is enticing.

Enterprise collaboration

Top pick: Microsoft

With 250 million monthly active users, Microsoft Teams is the hands-down winner here. As the company diversifies to be more than just collaboration and the center of the work experience, it is looking increasingly difficult for the competition. Watch what Salesforce does with Slack, but right now, Microsoft has a big head start.

Keep an eye out for: Zoom

A pandemic darling, Zoom Video Communications ZM saw its stock shoot up to $500 on the stay-at-home trade, only to fall back below $200, causing its deal to acquire cloud contact-center software firm Five9 to fall apart. With all of that in mind, the company still enjoys a massive user base and strong double-digit growth after surpassing $1 billion a quarter in revenue. It is also diversifying with its platform into hybrid events and asynchronous messaging. As I see it, Zoom shares went up too fast and then went down too fast. I think there is an opportunity here for Zoom and its investors.

Artificial intelligence (AI)

Top pick: NVIDIA

This one isn’t even close, and investors have had their say as NVIDIA’s stock-market value has gone north of $760 billion and on its way to $1 trillion. Investors have shaken off its increasingly unlikely bid to acquire ARM, and that is because growth is so good without it. Whether it’s AI for gaming, Metaverse, conversation, recommendations, or automotive, the company offers the software, hardware, and frameworks needed to implement AI at scale.

Keep an eye out for: Amazon

Amazon has gone all-in on its homegrown chipmaking, and it will bear fruit for the company in 2022. While AWS’s portfolio of AI and machine learning services offers GPUs from the likes of Intel and NVIDIA, the company has built a future where its offers highly competitive or market-leading performance for AI training and inference. While I don’t see AWS going toe-to-toe with NVIDIA to be the “AI” company, I do think its rapid capabilities to deliver enterprise-oriented virtual servers in the cloud, known as instances, will help keep AWS growing near or above 30% rate it has enjoyed over the past year.

Autonomous vehicle/ADAS technology

Top pick: Intel Mobileye

I focused on technology makers that stand to win big from the interest in autonomous vehicles that has sent names like Lucid LCID and Rivian RIVN to stock-market values above GM, BMW, Volkswagen and others despite barely having any revenue. I believe Mobileye, now currently part of Intel INTC, is set to deliver big returns to shareholders in 2022. With the recent announcement that it will spin off its Mobileye business that it acquired less than five years ago, Intel stands to unlock considerable value through this deal. With more than 100 million eyeQ ADAS units shipped by Mobileye to date, I believe this could be an even bigger winner for investors who get in on Mobileye’s impending IPO as well as for Intel, which will remain Mobileye’s largest shareholder.

Keep an eye out for: Qualcomm

With recent design wins from the likes of BMW and GM, Qualcomm’s automotive design pipeline has swelled above $10 billion and stands to become the company’s next billion-dollar annual business. The company’s Snapdragon Ride platform is a full stack of components to address advanced driver assistance systems, or ADAS, telematics and infotainment, and it can be done on an open platform that makes it easier for large auto makers to adopt and iteratively upgrade their vehicles on a shorter time horizon.

I don’t think Qualcomm’s automotive business has been highly appreciated by investors as the company’s stock-market value has surged above $200 billion, and that could be a good thing for its share price in 2022.

Semiconductors

Top pick: AMD

Much like NVIDIA has become the darling of AI, AMD AMD has become one of the most exciting names in semiconductors; the company has taken market share in laptops, and perhaps more important, servers over the past few years.

The growth under CEO Lisa Su has been nothing short of remarkable. The stock has climbed 67% through Dec. 28, and the company claimed a 10% market share in the datacenter server space for the first time since 2007. That growth has been critical to the company’s top-line growth and its increasing margins, making it even more attractive to its investors.

Keep an eye out for: Marvell

It seems like Marvell MRVL CEO Matt Murphy can do no wrong. The chipmaker’s turnaround has been underpinned by solid growth in key secular trends, including 5G, automotive, and datacenter. In 2021, Marvell went from being part of a large swath of semiconductor names to one of the must-own names for those that share my belief that semiconductors will eat the world. The stock nearly doubled in 2021 and has recently hit an all-time high; count on more gains in 2022.

Enterprise software

Top pick: Salesforce

This one was a close call, given that Microsoft and Oracle both have had a solid year for their enterprise software. However, Salesforce CRM has been extraordinarily stable in its growth, and I’m increasingly optimistic about its platform, Hyperforce, and how that will expand its growth trajectory. The company has made several significant acquisitions in MuleSoft, Tableau and, most recently, Slack, and I think the best of Salesforce is yet to come. Its humble 15% stock-market gain through Dec. 28 makes it stand out as a smart pick for a pop in 2022.

Keep an eye out for: SAP

This name may not exude excitement, but SAP SAP XE:SAP touts more than 425,000 customers, and this means strong recurring revenue. Now it’s making a real push into the cloud, and that transition makes SAP an interesting growth opportunity in 2022. Now it’s time to look ahead to 10 major technology trends and which companies show the most promise to win big in 2022.Cloud computingTop pick: AmazonAmazon AMZN has enjoyed the leadership position in Cloud for some time, and its AWS business now tops $16 billion in revenue a quarter. However, there have been two notable AWS outages in recent months. More broadly, Amazon’s stock price has badly lagged the S&P 500 SPX in 2021 with a gain of only 4.8% through Dec. 28. Yet given that enterprise cloud investment is not expected to slow in 2022 and that AWS is Amazon’s cash-cow business, I expect the new year to be better for Amazon shareholders.Keep an eye out for: OracleOracle ORCL enjoyed a substantial growth year, capped off by a $28 billion deal to acquire Cerner, which sells software that helps doctors access and analyze medical records. In 2021, Oracle provided a peek into its Cloud growth, a business now exceeding $10 billion annually. Combined with its strong stock performance — up 37% through Dec. 28 — and stability in volatile markets, Oracle looks primed for more growth in 2022.MetaverseTop pick: RobloxMeta Platforms FB (once known as Facebook) may be receiving much credit for the popularization of the Metaverse. This practical approach coupled with continued platform adoption should lead to continued gains as the popularization of the technology leads to more investors looking to get into the space.Keep an eye out for: NVIDIACEO Jensen Huang doesn’t acknowledge the Metaverse, but the company NVDA has been playing a pivotal role in developing this technology with its Omniverse Platform. With 40 million developers looking for the tools to unlock the Metaverse, NVIDIA’s technology seems primed to be a critical contributor, and we will most likely see NVIDIA continue to run alongside this trend in 2022.5GTop pick: Qualcomm5G has been a hot topic for a few years, but the technology gained steam in 2021 with more than 560 million 5G handsets shipping worldwide. Qualcomm QCOM benefits as both a leading chip maker and licenser of 5G technologies that goes into nearly every 5G-enabled handset. The year ahead will be another big year for 5G. It won’t just be handsets, but also automotive, IoT, infrastructure and more–all of which are beneficial to Qualcomm.Keep an eye out for: AppleAs part of their 2019 settlement, Apple AAPL still depends on Qualcomm for 5G chipsets and technology as part of its license agreement, which may last longer than most think. However, since rolling out its iPhone 13 with 5G, the company has quickly become the world’s leader in 5G handset shipments, accounting for nearly one-third of all 5G handsets worldwide. While I’ve been critical of the lack of 5G mmWave in its international units, I think that will come with the next generation, meaning more sales, more revenue and even happier shareholders.Digital transformationTop pick: MicrosoftMicrosoft MSFT has had a great year, with the stock up 53% though Dec. 28 and both revenue and profit continuing to grow every quarter under the leadership of Satya Nadella. Its portfolio from software to cloud to devices is one of the most, if not the most comprehensive, to meet the needs of enterprises in their transition to digital. Even with rising interest rates, inflation, and COVID-19, it’s hard to see a scenario where Microsoft’s stock doesn’t continue its ascent.Keep an eye out for: AlphabetWith stock-market gains of 67% thought Dec. With the ad business underpinning the company, I believe Alphabet’s bets on enabling digital for enterprise and SMB will help it keep its momentum in 2022.E-commerce and customer experienceTop pick: AdobeAmazon may feel like the low-hanging fruit here, but I think 2022 will be a big year for Adobe. The company’s stock recently took a significant hit following its earnings and investor day. Still, its stack of creative and experience technologies for marketers puts it in the pole position for a strong bounce back in 2022. Adobe’s experience cloud, which enjoys a rising TAM to more than $200 billion by 2024, is something I feel investors should keep a close eye on, as this is where the most significant subsection of Adobe’s growth will come over the next few years.Keep an eye out for: TwilioHit hard by the growth selloff, Twilio’s TWLO stock is down more than 23% thought Dec. 28. However, its technology, developer ecosystem, and several key acquisitions, including Segment CDP, put the company in an excellent position as one of the leading platforms for enterprises seeking to deliver best-of-breed customer experiences through mobile and digital platforms. It’s far from a sure thing, but the upside for Twilio is enticing.Enterprise collaborationTop pick: MicrosoftWith 250 million monthly active users, Microsoft Teams is the hands-down winner here. As the company diversifies to be more than just collaboration and the center of the work experience, it is looking increasingly difficult for the competition. Watch what Salesforce does with Slack, but right now, Microsoft has a big head start.Keep an eye out for: ZoomA pandemic darling, Zoom Video Communications ZM saw its stock shoot up to $500 on the stay-at-home trade, only to fall back below $200, causing its deal to acquire cloud contact-center software firm Five9 to fall apart. I think there is an opportunity here for Zoom and its investors.Artificial intelligence (AI)Top pick: NVIDIAThis one isn’t even close, and investors have had their say as NVIDIA’s stock-market value has gone north of $760 billion and on its way to $1 trillion. Investors have shaken off its increasingly unlikely bid to acquire ARM, and that is because growth is so good without it. Whether it’s AI for gaming, Metaverse, conversation, recommendations, or automotive, the company offers the software, hardware, and frameworks needed to implement AI at scale.Keep an eye out for: AmazonAmazon has gone all-in on its homegrown chipmaking, and it will bear fruit for the company in 2022. While AWS’s portfolio of AI and machine learning services offers GPUs from the likes of Intel and NVIDIA, the company has built a future where its offers highly competitive or market-leading performance for AI training and inference. While I don’t see AWS going toe-to-toe with NVIDIA to be the “AI” company, I do think its rapid capabilities to deliver enterprise-oriented virtual servers in the cloud, known as instances, will help keep AWS growing near or above 30% rate it has enjoyed over the past year.Autonomous vehicle/ADAS technologyTop pick: Intel MobileyeI focused on technology makers that stand to win big from the interest in autonomous vehicles that has sent names like Lucid LCID and Rivian RIVN to stock-market values above GM, BMW, Volkswagen and others despite barely having any revenue. I believe Mobileye, now currently part of Intel INTC, is set to deliver big returns to shareholders in 2022. With the recent announcement that it will spin off its Mobileye business that it acquired less than five years ago, Intel stands to unlock considerable value through this deal. With more than 100 million eyeQ ADAS units shipped by Mobileye to date, I believe this could be an even bigger winner for investors who get in on Mobileye’s impending IPO as well as for Intel, which will remain Mobileye’s largest shareholder.Keep an eye out for: QualcommWith recent design wins from the likes of BMW and GM, Qualcomm’s automotive design pipeline has swelled above $10 billion and stands to become the company’s next billion-dollar annual business. The company’s Snapdragon Ride platform is a full stack of components to address advanced driver assistance systems, or ADAS, telematics and infotainment, and it can be done on an open platform that makes it easier for large auto makers to adopt and iteratively upgrade their vehicles on a shorter time horizon.I don’t think Qualcomm’s automotive business has been highly appreciated by investors as the company’s stock-market value has surged above $200 billion, and that could be a good thing for its share price in 2022.SemiconductorsTop pick: AMDMuch like NVIDIA has become the darling of AI, AMD AMD has become one of the most exciting names in semiconductors; the company has taken market share in laptops, and perhaps more important, servers over the past few years. The growth under CEO Lisa Su has been nothing short of remarkable. The stock has climbed 67% through Dec. 28, and the company claimed a 10% market share in the datacenter server space for the first time since 2007. That growth has been critical to the company’s top-line growth and its increasing margins, making it even more attractive to its investors.Keep an eye out for: MarvellIt seems like Marvell MRVL CEO Matt Murphy can do no wrong. The chipmaker’s turnaround has been underpinned by solid growth in key secular trends, including 5G, automotive, and datacenter. In 2021, Marvell went from being part of a large swath of semiconductor names to one of the must-own names for those that share my belief that semiconductors will eat the world. The stock nearly doubled in 2021 and has recently hit an all-time high; count on more gains in 2022.Enterprise softwareTop pick: SalesforceThis one was a close call, given that Microsoft and Oracle both have had a solid year for their enterprise software. 28 makes it stand out as a smart pick for a pop in 2022.Keep an eye out for: SAPThis name may not exude excitement, but SAP SAP XE:SAP touts more than 425,000 customers, and this means strong recurring revenue. Now it’s making a real push into the cloud, and that transition makes SAP an interesting growth opportunity in 2022. With 77% of its revenue falling into the “predictable” category and mid-double-digit (20%) cloud growth, there is a real opportunity for upside if its cloud transformation continues to take shape.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":553,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":885494695,"gmtCreate":1631808594417,"gmtModify":1676530642756,"author":{"id":"3572320112827115","authorId":"3572320112827115","name":"Unrelearn","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3cd8ae13ba7bc896e83442496638227","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572320112827115","authorIdStr":"3572320112827115"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$GENTING SINGAPORE LIMITED(G13.SI)$Possibly overact for supervision adjustment, yet may keep zigzagging at low bottom.
