Despite this broad drop in tech companies, many businesses are seeing strong success operationally. The share prices are sinking, but these companies continue to grow their top-line and establish their leadership roles in their respective industries.

Both UiPath (NYSE:PATH) and Twilio (NYSE:TWLO) are in this boat. Shares of both tech stocks have fallen 35% and nearly 30%, respectively, despite strong growth across their businesses. With large markets ahead of them, I think today's prices could be optimal buying opportunities to get these innovative stocks at a bargain.

1. UiPath: Bringing AI to the enterprise

We have all been doing something so tedious and repetitive at work that we wish we could simply have it magically completed. It is, after all, a huge waste of our time because we would rather work on more thought-intensive, engaging work. With artificial intelligence-powered virtual bots, UiPath is turning our wishes into commands.

The company offers automation software that can emulate a human by understanding what is on a screen, extracting data, and making critical decisions. However, this software can do it much faster than humans, making 58% fewer mistakes. UiPath uses robotic process automation (RPA) in tandem with humans to make businesses more efficient. With UiPath, real workers are not fired or eliminated but rather freed to work on more critical tasks. UiPath has saved some of its customers millions of hours and dollars, which is why over 9,600 customers use UiPath and are currently spending 44% more than they did one year ago.

The stock has not fallen because of bad operational performance. The company has brought in $602.5 million in revenue so far this year, 50% higher than the year-ago period. Shares have taken a downturn because of the major uptick in the company's net loss. In the third quarter, the company lost almost $123 million -- more than the total net loss for the first nine months of 2020. This has been because UiPath has rapidly ramped up its spending on advertising, along with research and development.

This is not without good reason, however. The company projects that its addressable market will nearly double to $30 billion by 2024. UiPath is already the industry leader in RPA, according to Gartner's Magic Quadrant, but the company is ramping up spending to make sure its competitors like Automation Anywhere do not overtake them. With the RPA market growing so rapidly over the next few years, UiPath is spending now -- rather successfully -- to obtain brand recognition as the industry begins to explode.

Here's the bottom line: UiPath is the leader in a futuristic industry that is expected to grow rapidly over the next few years. With so much investment going toward capturing this growth, along with a dominant product that has caught the eyes of NASA and Alphabet, I think that today's share prices are a gift to long-term investors.

2. Twilio: Falling victim to the tech sell-off

With over 250,000 businesses using Twilio, most of us have used its technology without even recognizing it. Anyone who has ever communicated with a food delivery driver or Lyft driver has used Twilio's services unknowingly. The company is helping other enterprises communicate within apps, allowing consumers and businesses to connect easier. These services seem to have grown even more important for Twilio's users as they are now spending 31% more today than they did one year ago with the company.

Twilio posted year-over-year revenue growth of 65% in Q3, but some of that came from its acquisitions. Although the company has consistently been able to post impressive organic growth -- something most growth-by-acquisition companies lack. In Q3, the company's revenue improved 38% year over year organically, and it has been able to organically boost its top line by 34% or more year over year for the past nine quarters.

Shares have largely been sent downward in 2021, and Twilio's major net losses haven't been helping. The company lost $224 million in Q3, with almost $170 million of that being stock-based compensation. With large markets ahead of them, I think today's prices could be optimal buying opportunities to get these innovative stocks at a bargain.Image source: Getty Images.1. UiPath: Bringing AI to the enterpriseWe have all been doing something so tedious and repetitive at work that we wish we could simply have it magically completed. UiPath has saved some of its customers millions of hours and dollars, which is why over 9,600 customers use UiPath and are currently spending 44% more than they did one year ago.The stock has not fallen because of bad operational performance. With so much investment going toward capturing this growth, along with a dominant product that has caught the eyes of NASA and Alphabet, I think that today's share prices are a gift to long-term investors.2. Twilio: Falling victim to the tech sell-offWith over 250,000 businesses using Twilio, most of us have used its technology without even recognizing it. Anyone who has ever communicated with a food delivery driver or Lyft driver has used Twilio's services unknowingly. The company is helping other enterprises communicate within apps, allowing consumers and businesses to connect easier. These services seem to have grown even more important for Twilio's users as they are now spending 31% more today than they did one year ago with the company.Twilio posted year-over-year revenue growth of 65% in Q3, but some of that came from its acquisitions. Although the company has consistently been able to post impressive organic growth -- something most growth-by-acquisition companies lack. In Q3, the company's revenue improved 38% year over year organically, and it has been able to organically boost its top line by 34% or more year over year for the past nine quarters.Shares have largely been sent downward in 2021, and Twilio's major net losses haven't been helping. The company lost $224 million in Q3, with almost $170 million of that being stock-based compensation. While this might be worrisome today, it is overshadowed by the impressive top-line growth that the company is seeing, both organically and inorganically, in this lucrative market. At 17 times sales, this stock is trading at levels not seen since mid-2020, leaving an opportunistic window for investors. The use of in-app communication will only become more prevalent as the world continues to adopt these habits, and Twilio has been and will likely continue benefiting from it. When the transaction closes, Microsoft will become the worldâs third-largest gaming company by revenue, behind Tencent and Sony.

Bobby Kotick will continue to serve as CEO of Activision Blizzard, and he and his team will maintain their focus on driving efforts to further strengthen the companyâs culture and accelerate business growth. Right now, Mr. Market is very downbeat on diversified international industrial giant 3M. One way to see this is that the company's dividend yield, at around 3.3%, is near the top end of its historical range.

MMM Dividend Yield data by YCharts

Graham had some other advice when it came to actually selecting stocks. Specifically, he argued that most investors would be wise sticking to large, financially strong companies, with strong dividend histories. 3M stacks up well on these measures. It has a market cap of $100 billion, which makes it a mega-cap stock. Its balance sheet is investment-grade rated by the major credit agencies, so it's financially strong. And it has increased its dividend annually for over 60 years, making it a very elite Dividend King.

So why is Mr. Market pessimistic? The answer is a mixture of slowing growth and some product and environmental lawsuits. These are notable problems, but they're not insurmountable. On the business front, the industrial giant's operations wax and wane over time just like any other company. Given its history and focus on innovation, it should eventually get back on a better track. As for the lawsuits, they could be costly, but it's likely that 3M will be able to handle the hit. In the end, this is an attractively priced name with a great history that is dealing with issues that seem transitory.

A proven value creator

Matt DiLallo (Brookfield Asset Management): I like to invest. Because of that, I routinely purchase a variety of stocks. However, if I could only buy one in the coming year, Brookfield Asset Management would be my top choice.

For starters, I love the company's management. CEO Bruce Flatt is a personal favorite of mine. He's right up there with Warren Buffett in my book as one of the best value investors around. I enjoy reading his quarterly letter to shareholders, which Flatt fills with investing and economic insight. He's also a proven value creator. Since becoming CEO in 2002, he's helped Brookfield deliver a 15.7% total annualized return, pulverizing the S&P 500's 10.6% total return during that time frame.

I also like the company's business model. Brookfield is a leading global alternative asset manager focused on real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy -- three of my favorite investing themes. An investment in Brookfield provides broad exposure to those three asset classes and many more. Brookfield invests directly across those themes and manages private equity funds focused on those sectors.

Finally, Brookfield has enormous upside potential. It expects to double its fee-bearing assets under management over the next five years. Combine that with performance-based earnings on its funds and the compounding value of its balance sheet investments, and it has the potential of generating up to 25% annualized total returns over the next five years. That upside, along with all the other positives, is why I'd buy Brookfield if it were the only stock I could purchase this year.

Investors are overlooking the growth potential here

Neha Chamaria (Brookfield Renewable): 2021 is turning out to be a record-setting year for global renewable electricity addition, but this could just be the beginning. That shouldn't be tough given the solid pace of growth in its FFO. Hereâs a quick breakdown of Courseraâs S-1 and the stock that can give you a chance to get in before retail investors rush in.

Coursera IPO

Launched in 2012 by Stanford University computer science professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng, Coursera is one of many massive open online course (MOOC) providers that have emerged since the dawn of the Internet. What sets Coursera apart is its symbiotic relationship with established universities. Instead of trying to disrupt the higher education industry, Coursera is attempting to work with them to reimagine what higher education and professional courses should look like in a digital world.

That strategy seems to be working. Coursera has more than77 million students, more than most of its rivals. The companyâsCoursera for Campusattracted 4,000 tertiary institutions from across the world. At the end of 2020, 130 of these institutions were premium subscribers. 2,000 businesses (including 25% of Fortune 500 companies) and 100 government agencies are alsopaying for Courseraâs enterprise offerings.

Unsurprisingly, that traction is reflected on the top line. In 2020, Coursera generated $293 million in revenue, up 59% from the previous year. Year-on-year user growth came in at 65%. However, the company extended free courses and features throughout the pandemic to gin up traffic. That led to higher costs and a loss of $66.8 million in 2020, up from $46.7 million in 2019. Free cash flow was -$26.9 million over the course of the year.

Coursera doesnât expect to become cash flow positive or profitable anytime soon. In fact, theS-1 clearly statesthat the company âhad an accumulated deficit of $343.6 million as of December 31, 2020,â and that they anticipate that the company âwill continue to incur losses for the foreseeable future.â

The reopening is another risk. With students heading back to the campus this fall, itâs difficult to say if Coursera can sustain last yearâs momentum and keep students and universities engaged on its platform.

Coursera product tiers

Nevertheless, the companyâs partnerships with government agencies, library of content from top universities, enterprise training products and micro-certification courses could help it bolster growth over time. Online learning already was a rapidly-growing market pre-pandemic. Some estimates suggest the marketcould be worth $350 billionby 2025. Coursera was last valued at $2.5 billion.

It could be worth a lot more when the IPO is completed. One early investor is certainly expecting a windfall: SuRo Capital(NASDAQ:SSSS).

SuRo Capital - Courseraâs Proxy

San Francisco-based SuRo Capital is a business development company focused on tech startups and innovative private companies. SuRoâs portfolio is heavily concentrated in preferred shares of noteworthy tech startups such asCourseHero,Rent the Runway,Nextdoor,Blink HealthandForge Global.

The largest and most noteworthy position in their portfolio is a $94 million stake in Palantir Technologies(NYSE:PLTR). In fact, my first article on the company was publishedjust before Palantirâs IPO. Over the past 12 months, the stock is up 281%, which means it outperformed the most talked about tech ETF of the year - Ark Innovation ETF(NYSEARCA:ARKK).

Source:TradingView

Now, Palantir accounts for 31.4% of SuRoâs portfolio. Coursera is the second-largest holding. Accounting for 17.6% of the portfolio, SuRo reported the fair value of its stake at $53.2 million recently. Itâs worth noting that SuRo holds this stake in preferred shares paying out 8% a year in dividends. These preferred shares should be worth a lot more when the company lists publicly. Analysts estimate Coursera could be worth as much as$5 billion, which is roughly double its valuation from 2020.

At that price, Coursera would become SuRoâs largest holding, adding roughly $50 million to the companyâs book value.

Altogether,SuRoâs portfolio is worth $430 million. Meanwhile, the companyâs market capitalization is $274 million. If the Coursera IPO is as successful as some of the other major tech IPOs weâve witnessed this year, this discount to fair value could broaden further.

Risks

Coursera's S-1 lists several potential risks that investors should be aware of. However, I believe some are more noteworthy than others and Coursera may have missed some key risks.

Competition, for one, is something the team could have elaborated on further. Coursera is far from the only online education provider. In fact, many of its rivals including Skillshare, Gumroad, Khan Academy and Udemy have more recognizable brands.

Khan Academy is particularly noteworthy because many of the courses it offers are free. That, in my opinion, is another key risk for Coursera and perhaps the entire EdTech space. While higher education is a luxury service in North America, it's free in places like Germany. Much of the world would prefer a low-cost or free model to develop talent and plug the skills gap. College in India, for instance, costs$5,000 a year on average. Coursera isn't profitable at its current average pricing of $9,000 to $25,000 per degree course. Lower costs in the rest of the world could make profitability a bigger challenge.

Coursera could potentially overcome these challenges by recruiting lower-cost education providers in emerging markets, convincing students to pay a premium and differentiating its courses by partnering with elite universities and recruitment channels.

Bottom line

Keep an eye on SuRo. This could be one of the underrated and undervalued tech companies on the market right now. Itâs either that or Iâm missing something and have overlooked something major. Combined, the three shipped more than 40,000 units. Thatâs a monthly record and is one sign that Tesla (TSLA) should post its own big number when it reports fourth delivery figures in coming days.

About 25% of all Tesla deliveries are generated in China. Investors expect Tesla to report north of 280,000 deliveries worldwide for the fourth quarter.

Among the Chinese three, XPeng took the December, and 2021, crown reporting 16,000 deliveries, a new monthly record. For all of 2021, XPeng delivered 98,155 vehicles, up 263% compared with 2020.

Li delivered 14,087 units in December. Thatâs a monthly record for Li too. For all of 2021, Li delivered 90,491 vehicles, up 177% compared with 2020.

NIO didnât set a new monthly record, just missing it by a few hundred units. The company shipped 10,489 vehicles in December. NIOâs monthly delivery record came in November, when it shipped 10,878 units. For the full year, NIO delivered 91,429 vehicles in 2021, up 109% compared with 2020.

Even though XPeng delivered more cars in 2021, NIO has still delivered the most of the three over the companyâs life. NIO has delivered more than 167,000 vehicles life to date. XPeng and Li have delivered about 125,000 and 123,000 vehicle, respectively.

December vehicle deliveries for all EV producers might have been boosted by a subsidy cut coming for Chinese car buyers in 2022. Buyers rushed to get a slightly better deal. The Chinese purchase subsidy for an EV is about 10,000 Yuan, ($1,500), from 14,400 Yuan ($2,200). The $700 difference amounts to about a 2% price bump for typical EVs.

Falling subsidies are one factor investors will have to consider regarding Tesla and Chinese EV makers in 2022. But higher December deliveries mean that earnings estimates for NIO, XPeng, Li, and likely Tesla, will rise in coming weeks. More cars than expected means more sales and better bottom line results.

Strong delivery results might also help shares early in 2022. Shares of Tesla, XPeng and Li had a good to great 2021, gaining 50%, 18% and 11%, respectively. NIO shares struggled, dropping 35% in 2021. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 27% and 19%, respectively.

Starting valuation is one reason for NIO stockâs struggles. Even after underperforming, NIOâs market capitalization is about $54 billion, more than the $43 billion market cap of XPeng and the $33 billion market cap of Li.

Tesla, of course, ended 2021 with a market capitalization north of $1 trillion. Combined, the three shipped more than 40,000 units. Thatâs a monthly record and is one sign that Tesla (TSLA) should post its own big number when it reports fourth delivery figures in coming days.About 25% of all Tesla deliveries are generated in China. Investors expect Tesla to report north of 280,000 deliveries worldwide for the fourth quarter.Among the Chinese three, XPeng took the December, and 2021, crown reporting 16,000 deliveries, a new monthly record. For all of 2021, XPeng delivered 98,155 vehicles, up 263% compared with 2020.Li delivered 14,087 units in December. Thatâs a monthly record for Li too. For all of 2021, Li delivered 90,491 vehicles, up 177% compared with 2020.NIO didnât set a new monthly record, just missing it by a few hundred units. The company shipped 10,489 vehicles in December. NIOâs monthly delivery record came in November, when it shipped 10,878 units. For the full year, NIO delivered 91,429 vehicles in 2021, up 109% compared with 2020.Even though XPeng delivered more cars in 2021, NIO has still delivered the most of the three over the companyâs life. NIO has delivered more than 167,000 vehicles life to date. XPeng and Li have delivered about 125,000 and 123,000 vehicle, respectively.December vehicle deliveries for all EV producers might have been boosted by a subsidy cut coming for Chinese car buyers in 2022. Buyers rushed to get a slightly better deal. The Chinese purchase subsidy for an EV is about 10,000 Yuan, ($1,500), from 14,400 Yuan ($2,200). The $700 difference amounts to about a 2% price bump for typical EVs.Falling subsidies are one factor investors will have to consider regarding Tesla and Chinese EV makers in 2022. But higher December deliveries mean that earnings estimates for NIO, XPeng, Li, and likely Tesla, will rise in coming weeks. More cars than expected means more sales and better bottom line results.Strong delivery results might also help shares early in 2022. Shares of Tesla, XPeng and Li had a good to great 2021, gaining 50%, 18% and 11%, respectively. NIO shares struggled, dropping 35% in 2021. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 27% and 19%, respectively.Starting valuation is one reason for NIO stockâs struggles. Even after underperforming, NIOâs market capitalization is about $54 billion, more than the $43 billion market cap of XPeng and the $33 billion market cap of Li.Tesla, of course, ended 2021 with a market capitalization north of $1 trillion. Itâs expected to deliver about 900,000 vehicles for 2021.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":81,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":142437303,"gmtCreate":1626166819702,"gmtModify":1703754678905,"author":{"id":"3572904542082218","authorId":"3572904542082218","name":"Limpc88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d9e3e203a1aaa7875be2e273211a2f5b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572904542082218","authorIdStr":"3572904542082218"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good news !","listText":"Good news !","text":"Good news !","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/142437303","repostId":"1184524031","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1184524031","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1626165578,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1184524031?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-13 16:39","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Nokia shares jumps 8% in premarket,as planning to raise full-year outlook","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1184524031","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Nokia shares jumps 8% in premarket,as planning to raise full-year outlook.\nNokia said on Tuesday it ","content":"
Nokia shares jumps 8% in premarket,as planning to raise full-year outlook.
\n
Nokia said on Tuesday it expects to raise its full-year outlook as business picked up pace in the second quarter.
\n
\"Our first half performance has shown evidence of this in good cost control and also benefited from strength in a number of our end markets,\" CEO Pekka Lundmark said in a statement.
\n
The telecom equipment maker, which will provide the new outlook on July 29 while reporting second-quarter results, had earlier projected 2021 net sales of between 20.6 billion euros ($24.43 billion) to 21.8 billion.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; This is supported by sound market conditions, a widespread crypto boom, and skyrocketing revenue growth that by far exceed the industry.

Coinbase has enjoyed success as an online exchange for crypto since 2012 and has captured a 12% global market share. During that time, it has consistently kept its usersâ personal data secure with its comprehensive due diligence process. It has put a high priority on cooperation and compliance with regulatory authorities. The first section of this article sets the framework of the business. Second, we take a deep dive into the companyâs financials. Third, we provide an analysis of (i) Coinbaseâs potential to diversify away from commission revenues with strategic investments and opportunities and (ii) major risk factors that the company faces. The listing is on April 14.

Coinbase is the new set of rails that connects the crypto world and Wall Street

One-stop-shop

The company provides retail, institutional, and vendor solutions for storage, spending, earning, and use of more than 40 crypto assets. It is a one-stop-shop for hedge funds, money managers, corporations for trading and custody of crypto. It has established relationships with Circle for a dollar coin and with Visa for crypto rewards programs. It has 43 million users (87% growth since Q1 2018) and 3 million Monthly Transacting Users (MTU) with $90 billion of assets (5.9x increase since Q1 2018). The company is attracting institutional investors with a 4.2x increase in Trading Volume since Q1 2018. It has 7,000 institutional users and 115,000 ecosystem partners. Revenues in Q4 2020 were $585 million, and we estimate Q1 2021 revenue will easily exceed $1.2 billion (See valuation on section Valuation model). The current global market share is 12%.

Revenue streams

The exchange makes most of its money through high commission churn from retail. But achieving economies of scale from much more institutional trading activity â even though they offer lower commissions â is the next hurdle. We remain optimistic about a powerful secular trend of higher bitcoin prices due to the digitization of the physical world resulting in its monetization through tokens. Central banks will have no choice but to jump on the bandwagon and use the private sector pipes since they are not equipped (nor is it their function) to build and maintain such technology. This is essentially a replacement for both SWIFT and DTCC and will be much bigger than these two combined entities ever were. This is the center of the titanic competition between the US and China. Companies like Coinbase will have important strategic value for the US policy apparatus in Washington, DC.

Valuation modelModel Framework

We have modeled Coinbase revenue growth in 2021. Q1 2021 estimates are based on the recent sharp increase of Crypto Market Cap, Bitcoin Price, and Trading Volume. At the time of this research, the value of crypto more than doubled since December 2020. In Q4 2020, the company recorded $585 million in revenue with a crypto market cap of ~$782 billion. To assess the potential of Coinbase, we projected the companyâs revenue via a sensitivity analysis with the following parameters:

Market capitalization of crypto assets. This is split into Bitcoin market cap and other crypto assets. Coinbase is diversifying its crypto assets offering, driven by the introduction of 20 crypto assets between 2019 and 2020, including DeFi applications and protocols which can allow diversification away Trading Volume from Bitcoin.

Trading Volume of Retail and Institutional. Institutional Trading is slowly outpacing Retail Trading, though fees are lower for institutions. Verified Institutions grew 67% from 4,200 to 7,000 from 2019 to 2020. Assets on the Platform from institutions grew 5.9x from $6.5 billion to $44.8 billion for a total of $90 billion.

Transaction fees. These represented 96% of their revenue in 2020. The majority of this is derived from transactions in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Based on these assumptions, we created three different scenarios assuming a $68 billion valuation provided by the company. Market Cap/Revenue sensitivity table and quarterly revenue estimates are found below.

Scenario 1:Crypto market cap declines to around $900 billion by Q4 2021, with a parallel decline in Trading Volume on the platform, and a slight decrease in market share. Forward Market Cap/Revenue multiple of 27.2x.

Scenario 2:We projected the crypto market cap to stabilise around $1,700 billion by Q4 2021, with a stable trading volume and market share. Forward EV/Revenue multiple of 17.0x.

Scenario 3:Crypto market cap keep up its momentum and reach $1,900 billion by Q4 2021, with an increase in trading volume and market share. Forward EV/Revenue multiple of 11.3x.

Source: Coinbase public filings, Coinmarketcap.com, Author estimates. While the grey market (and admittedly illiquid) futures price is above $100 billion, the company has stated its intention to do the listing at $68 billion. Many investors were eyeing the grey market price with great alarm as it surpassed $130 billion. Happily, the direct listing price is one half of the peak of $135 billion.

Coinbase has a very clean balance sheet. Return on assets was 7% for 2020. Assets on Equity is 3.8x. Its Return on Capital could easily exceed 30% in 2021. It is sitting on a cash pile. It is a highly profitable business creating consistent retained earnings. The balance sheet is pristine and is an efficient machine. The owners are handing public investors a well-oiled machine with a proven track record and a great balance sheet. This is a rarity in the current IPO market.

Projected EV/Revenue of high scenario at $68 billion/$6 billion is about 11x, among the lowest of its comparable peers and in line with SoFi and Root. The 2021 P/E should be about 47x on our high end of estimates, compared to 49x for the Russell 2000. Our worst-case scenario for 2021 Return on Capital is 26%. This still blows away the traditional exchanges. This is supported by sound market conditions, a widespread crypto boom, and skyrocketing revenue growth that by far exceed the industry.Coinbase has enjoyed success as an online exchange for crypto since 2012 and has captured a 12% global market share. The listing is on April 14.Coinbase is the new set of rails that connects the crypto world and Wall StreetOne-stop-shopThe company provides retail, institutional, and vendor solutions for storage, spending, earning, and use of more than 40 crypto assets. The current global market share is 12%.Revenue streamsThe exchange makes most of its money through high commission churn from retail. Companies like Coinbase will have important strategic value for the US policy apparatus in Washington, DC.Valuation modelModel FrameworkWe have modeled Coinbase revenue growth in 2021. To assess the potential of Coinbase, we projected the companyâs revenue via a sensitivity analysis with the following parameters:Market capitalization of crypto assets. This is split into Bitcoin market cap and other crypto assets. Coinbase is diversifying its crypto assets offering, driven by the introduction of 20 crypto assets between 2019 and 2020, including DeFi applications and protocols which can allow diversification away Trading Volume from Bitcoin.Trading Volume of Retail and Institutional. Institutional Trading is slowly outpacing Retail Trading, though fees are lower for institutions. Verified Institutions grew 67% from 4,200 to 7,000 from 2019 to 2020. Assets on the Platform from institutions grew 5.9x from $6.5 billion to $44.8 billion for a total of $90 billion.Transaction fees. These represented 96% of their revenue in 2020. The majority of this is derived from transactions in Bitcoin and Ethereum.Based on these assumptions, we created three different scenarios assuming a $68 billion valuation provided by the company. Market Cap/Revenue sensitivity table and quarterly revenue estimates are found below.Scenario 1:Crypto market cap declines to around $900 billion by Q4 2021, with a parallel decline in Trading Volume on the platform, and a slight decrease in market share. Forward Market Cap/Revenue multiple of 27.2x.Scenario 2:We projected the crypto market cap to stabilise around $1,700 billion by Q4 2021, with a stable trading volume and market share. Forward EV/Revenue multiple of 17.0x.Scenario 3:Crypto market cap keep up its momentum and reach $1,900 billion by Q4 2021, with an increase in trading volume and market share. Forward EV/Revenue multiple of 11.3x.Source: Coinbase public filings, Coinmarketcap.com, Author estimates. Data as of 9th March 2021.Source: Coinbase public filings, Coinmarketcap.com, Author estimates Data as of 9th March 2021Our case: Stable to higher prices by end of 2021Our fairly bullish estimates on revenue for 2021 should exceed $3.5 billion and could very well top $5 billion. While the grey market (and admittedly illiquid) futures price is above $100 billion, the company has stated its intention to do the listing at $68 billion. Many investors were eyeing the grey market price with great alarm as it surpassed $130 billion. Happily, the direct listing price is one half of the peak of $135 billion.Coinbase has a very clean balance sheet. This is a rarity in the current IPO market.Projected EV/Revenue of high scenario at $68 billion/$6 billion is about 11x, among the lowest of its comparable peers and in line with SoFi and Root. The 2021 P/E should be about 47x on our high end of estimates, compared to 49x for the Russell 2000. Our worst-case scenario for 2021 Return on Capital is 26%. This still blows away the traditional exchanges. A medium case scenario puts ROC at 35%.Coinbase is a case of the right company at the right time, right place, right sector, right business, right product. Its gross margins are in the high 80s and should settle in the low 80s as the business is built out and matures. EBIT margins are around 30% and net margins are mid-20s.Business opportunities and major risks OpportunitiesThe direct listing will set the stage for more listings of crypto firms, legitimise crypto with global finance, bridge the gap with Wall Street, increase the visibility of crypto in Fortune 500 and increase participation. It will deepen its partnerships with both Circle and Visa as well as widen its DeFi propositions. The platform is easy to use and scalable.Exciting additions are custody with Vast Bank as a licensed institution. It will bolt on open source standards with Rosetta â akin to Chinaâs BSN. It will add crypto lending with Xapo. It will also offer enhanced trading services with Tagomi. On a geographical basis, it will expand into MENA activity with Rain.In addition, Coinbaseâs careful long-term plan will include a roll out into an enhanced number of crypto assets and expand its derivatives. It will continue to make a major push into institutional business. It will move further into dollar coin distribution. And it will piggyback onto major credit cards via crypto points.RisksThe company looks great, but the main risks which investors should bear in mind. Bringing many of the risk and execution functions in-house is important. So far, Coinbase is playing extremely nice with the regulators. While Coinbase could potentially end up as a major conduit for a Federal Reserve coin, the company is very young, and its infrastructure has not kept up with developments. It will need to invest a lot in Capex to build out its infrastructure and margins may shrink. It is a highly competitive sector and many other players are breathing down Coinbaseâs neck, especially in Asia. There are significant regulatory hurdles, although Coinbase is highly sensitive to regulatory shifts. It has been wisely and deliberately slow in adding new crypto because of this. The exchange may have to take greater responsibility in establishing bona fides and offer AML guarantees to regulators. It is highly reliant on third parties for its businesses. This includes payment gateways, cloud, compliance, customer service, and product development. This needs to be brought in-house and tightly controlled. The role of a decisive and capable CTO is vital here.Bitcoin is highly volatile, and it is in the realm of possibility that Bitcoin and Ethereum could fall by 50% or more before recovering. As with stock exchanges, rising prices are good for business and sustained bear markets are bad for business. But volatility is always good for exchanges. The managers of the company have never operated a public company of great size before.ConclusionWe believe Coinbaseâs direct listing comes at the right time and is accompanied by strong market conditions. That was the idea behind cryptos being written into code back in 2009 by a person or persons known as Satoshi Nakamoto.
\n
Those rebellious notions align somewhat with Muskâs own agenda of disruption. Tesla is making electric-powered vehicles in a world that has thus far been dominated by fossil-fuel driven cars.
\n
Moreover, Teslaâs direct-to-customer sales model also is viewed as trendsetting, since many companies sell their cars through unaffiliated dealerships.
\n
Bitcoinâs image as a decentralized asset, not controlled by any one body, also fits with Teslaâs image and that of its leader Musk.
\n

\n
The future of $
\n
Teslaâs $1.5 billion investment in bitcoin could also be a simple hedge against the hegemony of the U.S. dollar as the worldâs reserve currency since World War Two.
\n
Bitcoin, or something like it, represents the future of payment systems to many supporters, even if it isnât currently an effective means of exchange due to its current volatility.
\n
âYesterdayâs move by Tesla to invest in bitcoin and start accepting it as payment for its own products really moved the needle,â wrote Simon Peters, cryptoasset analyst at multiasset investment platform eToro, in emailed comments.
\n
The eToro analyst said that there are unconfirmed talks about technology behemoths Apple Inc. and Google-parent Alphabet Inc.,linking it to their own payment systems.
\n
Musk is viewed as an innovator tied to electric vehicles, batteries and space exploration via SpaceX, but one of his early ventures was in payments.
\n
Writing on the wall
\n
The Wall Street Journal notes that, the Tesla CEO invested most of the $22 million he earned from the sale of an internet business into a new startup, X.com, which became PayPal Holdings about 20 years ago.
\n
PayPal currently is among the vanguard of bitcoin revolution. PayPal back in November opened up its cryptocurrency platform to all U.S. customers after conducting a more narrow rollout.
\n
Moreover, several high-profile Wall Street investors, including Stanley Druckenmiller and Paul Tudor Jones, have embraced bitcoin. Famed investor Bill Miller, founder of Miller Value Partners, in a letter to clients earlier this month published on the firmâs website, reaffirmed his bullish outlook on bitcoin.
\n
In other words, Tesla and Musk may be among the biggest to wade into the crypto pool, but a growing cadre of investors are starting to view the volatile digital-ledger-backed cryptos as a bona fide asset.
\n
âCorporate adoption takes another leap forward with Tesla announcement,â writes Devin Ryan, analyst at JMP Securities in a Monday research note.
\n
The researcher, along with fellow analyst Brian McKenna, noted they âbelieve the building ânetwork effectâ around bitcoin is moving the broader crypto asset class into the mainstream, and with many hundreds of billions of dollars of value in infrastructure supporting the asset class, we see the already substantial (and growing) vested interest in its success as bullish for the industry.â
\n
On Tuesday, bitcoin touched a record high around $48,000 before pulling back, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite indexes have seen relatively tepid trade on the day.
","source":"market_watch","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; That was the idea behind cryptos being written into code back in 2009 by a person or persons known as Satoshi Nakamoto.\nThose rebellious notions align somewhat with Muskâs own agenda of disruption. Tesla is making electric-powered vehicles in a world that has thus far been dominated by fossil-fuel driven cars.\nMoreover, Teslaâs direct-to-customer sales model also is viewed as trendsetting, since many companies sell their cars through unaffiliated dealerships.\nBitcoinâs image as a decentralized asset, not controlled by any one body, also fits with Teslaâs image and that of its leader Musk.\n\nThe future of $\nTeslaâs $1.5 billion investment in bitcoin could also be a simple hedge against the hegemony of the U.S. dollar as the worldâs reserve currency since World War Two.\nBitcoin, or something like it, represents the future of payment systems to many supporters, even if it isnât currently an effective means of exchange due to its current volatility.\nâYesterdayâs move by Tesla to invest in bitcoin and start accepting it as payment for its own products really moved the needle,â wrote Simon Peters, cryptoasset analyst at multiasset investment platform eToro, in emailed comments.\nThe eToro analyst said that there are unconfirmed talks about technology behemoths Apple Inc. and Google-parent Alphabet Inc.,linking it to their own payment systems.\nMusk is viewed as an innovator tied to electric vehicles, batteries and space exploration via SpaceX, but one of his early ventures was in payments.\nWriting on the wall\nThe Wall Street Journal notes that, the Tesla CEO invested most of the $22 million he earned from the sale of an internet business into a new startup, X.com, which became PayPal Holdings about 20 years ago.\nPayPal currently is among the vanguard of bitcoin revolution. PayPal back in November opened up its cryptocurrency platform to all U.S. customers after conducting a more narrow rollout.\nMoreover, several high-profile Wall Street investors, including Stanley Druckenmiller and Paul Tudor Jones, have embraced bitcoin. Famed investor Bill Miller, founder of Miller Value Partners, in a letter to clients earlier this month published on the firmâs website, reaffirmed his bullish outlook on bitcoin.\nIn other words, Tesla and Musk may be among the biggest to wade into the crypto pool, but a growing cadre of investors are starting to view the volatile digital-ledger-backed cryptos as a bona fide asset.\nâCorporate adoption takes another leap forward with Tesla announcement,â writes Devin Ryan, analyst at JMP Securities in a Monday research note.\nThe researcher, along with fellow analyst Brian McKenna, noted they âbelieve the building ânetwork effectâ around bitcoin is moving the broader crypto asset class into the mainstream, and with many hundreds of billions of dollars of value in infrastructure supporting the asset class, we see the already substantial (and growing) vested interest in its success as bullish for the industry.â\nOn Tuesday, bitcoin touched a record high around $48,000 before pulling back, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite indexes have seen relatively tepid trade on the day.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":111,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":365696708816928,"gmtCreate":1730282097862,"gmtModify":1730282101765,"author":{"id":"3572904542082218","authorId":"3572904542082218","name":"Limpc88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d9e3e203a1aaa7875be2e273211a2f5b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572904542082218","authorIdStr":"3572904542082218"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ Is definitely a good entry opportunity!","listText":"$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ Is definitely a good entry opportunity!","text":"$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ Is definitely a good entry opportunity!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/365696708816928","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":151,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":262784143401072,"gmtCreate":1705190456395,"gmtModify":1705190460513,"author":{"id":"3572904542082218","authorId":"3572904542082218","name":"Limpc88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d9e3e203a1aaa7875be2e273211a2f5b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572904542082218","authorIdStr":"3572904542082218"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[Miser] [Miser] [Miser] [Miser] [Miser] ","listText":"[Miser] [Miser] [Miser] [Miser] [Miser] ","text":"[Miser] [Miser] [Miser] [Miser] [Miser]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/262784143401072","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":457,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":261352039874632,"gmtCreate":1704817113330,"gmtModify":1704817117501,"author":{"id":"3572904542082218","authorId":"3572904542082218","name":"Limpc88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d9e3e203a1aaa7875be2e273211a2f5b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572904542082218","authorIdStr":"3572904542082218"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nicely done tiger to start the new year!","listText":"Nicely done tiger to start the new year!","text":"Nicely done tiger to start the new year!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/261352039874632","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":233,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":258774252724272,"gmtCreate":1704211298764,"gmtModify":1704211302144,"author":{"id":"3572904542082218","authorId":"3572904542082218","name":"Limpc88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d9e3e203a1aaa7875be2e273211a2f5b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572904542082218","authorIdStr":"3572904542082218"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice trading! I am bullish on the stock.Prior to the onset of COVID-19 in the U.S., Lyft was making a name for itself as one of the nationâs best-known taxi alternatives. The ride-sharing boom was in progress, and it seemed that nothing could stop Lyft from growing exponentially as a business enterprise. The COVID-19 pandemic changed everything, though, as people werenât as willing to venture outside their homes for a while. This put a damper on Lyftâs business, and as the pandemic continues to linger through new variant strains, the burden is on Lyft to demonstrate its viability.Thatâs easier said than done, of course, but Lyft had an opportunity to tout its achievements in a recently issued fiscal report. As weâll see, investorsâ responses to Lyftâs results were immediate and startling â and just maybe, a little bit irrational.Lyft Stock Gets DroppedEven before Lyft reported the companyâs first-quarter 2022 financial results, LYFT stock was in a persistent state of decline. The share price topped out at around $63 in the summer of 2021, and itâs been all downhill ever since. As LYFT stock hovers around the key $20 level, investors must ask themselves whether the stock is a falling knife to be avoided at all costs or the bargain of a lifetime. Either way, investing in Lyft now involves high risk, so please try not to over-leverage yourself. It was a major headline grabber when traders pushed LYFT stock from $30 to the $20 area on May 4. Judging from this startling price move, you might be tempted to assume that Lyftâs Q1 2022 financial report will be replete with negative data points. Interestingly, however, the companyâs results werenât all that bad and even featured some positive results.Sometimes, Wall Street can be unforgiving. Investors should consider that, during 2022âs first quarter, the omicron COVID-19 variant strain was putting negative pressure on the ride-sharing market. In a conference call, Lyft CFO Elaine Paul stated that due to omicronâs impact on demand in January, the company âanticipated that ride volumes would be down slightly in Q1 versus Q4.âHowever, demand ârebounded meaningfully in February and March,â and Lyftâs total first-quarter 2022 ride-share ride count actually increased quarter-over-quarter and reached a new COVID-19 high. So, perhaps the investing community was too harsh on LYFT stock. What else did Lyftâs quarterly results reveal, though?Better Than ExpectedLyft co-founder and CEO Logan Green stated that âQ1 was better than we expected,â but informed investors must still analyze the data and determine whether itâs bullish or bearish.Looking at Lyftâs top line, itâs impossible to deny that the company knocked it out of the park. Specifically, Lyftâs first-quarter 2022 revenue of $875.6 million represented a highly impressive 44% year-over-year improvement. The companyâs bottom-line result was either positive or negative, depending on how you choose to view it. For Q1 2022, Lyftâs net earnings loss was $196.9 million. Itâs possible that investors were hoping for a net earnings gain rather than a loss and consequently dumped their LYFT stock shares.Letâs not jump to any hasty conclusions, though. Lyftâs net loss of $196.9 million represented a vast improvement over the companyâs $427.3 million net loss from the year-earlier quarter and is also better than its net loss of $283.2 million from the fourth quarter of 2021.In other words, Lyftâs net earnings loss narrowed, and thatâs a good sign for investors who are willing to see the glass as half-full rather than half-empty. Furthermore, thereâs more than one way to measure Lyftâs bottom-line results. Notably, the companyâs adjusted EBITDA for Q1 2022 was $54.8 million, and this figure shows a $127.8 million improvement compared to the 2021âs first quarter. On top of all that, Lyft proved that the company is in a solid capital position. At the end of 2022âs first quarter, Lyft reported having $2.2 billion of unrestricted cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments. Itâs baffling that investors seemingly ignored this fact and slammed LYFT stock, even though the company is well-capitalized.Additionally, it appears that some investors might have missed something interesting that Paul said. In particular, the CFO stated that Lyft expects âto strategically invest in key business initiatives to support our continued growth.â What these âkey business initiativesâ will be, remains to be seen. Still, itâs exciting to speculate on how Lyft will expand its business model in the coming quarters.Wall Streetâs TakeTurning to Wall Street, LYFT is a Moderate Buy based on 18 Buys and nine Hold ratings assigned in the past three months. The average Lyft price target is $45.20, implying 120.2% upside potential. The TakeawayItâs possible that investors were too harsh on LYFT stock post-earnings, and there may be a terrific bargain here for value-focused traders. Could the stock get back to its $60+ peak someday?Anything is possible, and Lyftâs financial results had enough positive points to justify a long position now. So, donât hesitate to analyze the companyâs financial data and potentially start accumulating LYFT stock shares in anticipation of a powerful comeback.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":201,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9068316501,"gmtCreate":1651717698979,"gmtModify":1676534956094,"author":{"id":"3572904542082218","authorId":"3572904542082218","name":"Limpc88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d9e3e203a1aaa7875be2e273211a2f5b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572904542082218","authorIdStr":"3572904542082218"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good info","listText":"Good info","text":"Good info","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9068316501","repostId":"2233337248","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2233337248","pubTimestamp":1651714647,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2233337248?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-05-05 09:37","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Why Lyft Stock Crashed Today","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2233337248","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The ride-hailing industry is facing some serious challenges.","content":"

What happened

Shares of Lyft plummeted 30% on Wednesday after the ride-sharing company warned investors that paying up to retain drivers would weigh heavily on its profits.

So what

Lyft's revenue rose 44% year over year to $875.6 million in the first quarter.
