done a lot but we have additional work to do’: BrainardFed vice chair speaks at Bloomberg event in WashingtonFederal Reserve Vice Chair Lael Brainard said the central bank should soon moderate the size of its interest-rate increases, signaling she favors slowing to a half-point hike as early as next month.“It will probably be appropriate soon to move to a slower pace of increases,” Brainard said Monday in a fireside-chat event at Bloomberg’s Washington bureau. “But I think what’s really important to emphasize: We’ve done a lot, but we have additional work to do.”The US central bank has raised its benchmark interest rate this year from nearly zero in March to a target range of 3.75% to 4% this month in a bid to slow the economy and bring inflation down from four-decade highs. The most aggressive tightening campaign since the 1980s has included rate hikes of three-quarters of a percentage point at each of the last four policy meetings, triple the usual move.“There are likely to be lags, and it’s going to take some time for that cumulative tightening to flow through,” Brainard said. “So, it makes sense to move to a more deliberate and a more data-dependent pace as we continue to make sure that there’s restraint that will bring inflation down over time.”At the same time, Brainard stopped short of explicitly endorsing the idea that the Fed would likely need to raise rates higher than previously projected in September. That’s what Chair Jerome Powell and other officials have said this month.Asked if she agreed with the chair’s expectation, Brainard stressed the importance of Fed policy being data dependent.“Even for just the December meeting’s decision, we still will have additional data in hand by the time that we will -- members of the committee will be submitting their new projections. And of course, those projections are going to reflect that data, both on inflation as well as on the labor market activity more generally,” she said. “But it is the case that we do have additional work to do on raising rates.”Investors expect Fed officials to opt for a half-point hike at their Dec. 13-14 meeting following Powell’s signal on Nov. 2 that such a downshift was in the offing, and a subsequent Labor Department report last week which showed increases in US consumer prices may be starting to moderate. That report showed inflation cooled by more than expected in October, with the consumer price index rising 7.7% from a year earlier versus 8.2% the month before. But officials have stressed that they need to see a series of lower monthly readings to have confidence that price pressures are heading back down to levels consistent with the central bank’s 2% target, which is defined in terms of the Commerce Department’s price index for personal consumption expenditures. October data for that measure will be published later this month.“The most recent CPI inflation print suggests that maybe the core PCE measure that we really focus on might be also showing a little bit of a reduction,” Brainard said. “That would be welcome. I think the inflation data was reassuring, preliminarily, just in terms of showing a slowing in categories that I had been anticipating.”The Fed has two congressional mandates: price stability and maximum employment. In recent weeks, Democratic senators including Sherrod Brown, who plays a key role overseeing the central bank as head of the Senate Banking Committee, have written letters to Powell expressing concerns that the fight against inflation will lead to unnecessary job losses.“Obviously risks are going to be more two-sided as we get into more restrictive -- or further into restrictive -- territory. So, we’ll be balancing those considerations, but we are very much focused on achieving our 2% inflation goal,” Brainard said.“It’s very important to keep inflation expectations anchored around that goal. And so, we’ll just have to make judgments like that as we go forward: What is the appropriate level of restraint on a sustained basis that is going to be necessary to make that balance?”The vice chair also pointed to data showing the pace of wage increases has begun to moderate.“I think it’s important to remember that wages have actually not kept up with inflation. Real incomes have actually, on aggregate, fallen, even though wages are higher than what would be consistent with a run rate associated with 2% inflation,” she said. “So they really are in the middle there, and they are coming down.”Officials in September forecast rates would reach 4.6% in 2023, but Powell on Nov. 2 suggested projections for the so-called terminal rate would probably move higher when they are next updated at the December meeting.Investors now see rates peaking just below 5% by the middle of next year.“By moving at a more deliberate pace, we’ll actually be able to see how that cumulative tightening is playing out,” Brainard said. “Exactly what that path looks like I think is really hard to say right now, but I think it will be very much better at balancing those risks by virtue of being able to take on board more data.”","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":571,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9048987760,"gmtCreate":1656126742050,"gmtModify":1676535773290,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yeah ","listText":"Yeah ","text":"Yeah","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9048987760","repostId":"1199426737","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":456,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9986899649,"gmtCreate":1666919413581,"gmtModify":1676537830562,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Okay ","listText":"Okay ","text":"Okay","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":21,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9986899649","repostId":"1199802479","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1199802479","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1666939724,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1199802479?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-10-28 14:48","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Stocks to Sell ASAP Before a Painful Downturn","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1199802479","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"These three stocks are already suffering, and unfortunately, that pain looks to continue.Meta Platfo","content":"
\n
These three stocks are already suffering, and unfortunately, that pain looks to continue.Meta Platforms(META): Quantitative tightening is part of the story, and self-inflicted troubles are the other, ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"investorplace","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The S&P 500 is down 23.1%, the Dow Jones is off more than 16.5%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq, 32%. So, by and large, we’re already deep into a painful downturn, with investors looking for stocks to sell, rather than buy, right now.September inflation numbers indicate that things are likely to get worse before they get better. The Fed’sinterest rate hikes in 2022 haven’t yet produced the results that the central bank hoped they would. That means the Fed is highly likely to undertake its fourth consecutive interest rate hike of 75 basis points (0.75%) when the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) reconvenes on Nov. 2.The concern is that inflation is a lagging indicator, and the Fed may already have overcorrected. Further significant increases may push us into recession if we aren’t already there, or worsen the recession if we are. That means the stocks below, already identified as weak, are likely to face further difficulty. This makes these companies stock to sell before things get worse.Meta Platforms (META)First on this list of stocks to sell is Meta Platforms(NASDAQ:META). META stock has faltered under its rebrand. Part of the reason Meta has declined from $338 to under $130 this year is undoubtedly due to the effects of inflation and the Fed’s response. Higher interest rates ripple across the economy. Accordingly, advertising revenue, which Meta depends on heavily, slides as the company’s clientele advertises less.Meta’sfinancial statements reflect that truth. Ad revenues were up slightly the first half of this year, despite dipping slightly in the three months that ended June 30. Quantitative tightening is partly to blame for Meta’s woes, to be sure. However, investors cannot blame external factors alone. That’s because a lot of Meta’s troubles have been self-inflicted.Reality Labs, which is essentially the Metaverse division the company has pivoted toward, is quickly turning into a money pit. In fact, Reality Labs lost $2.8 billion in the 3 months that ended June 30th. It lost $2.43 billion the quarter before. And while that’s a relative pittance to a company like Meta in the grand scheme of things, its Metaverse division is burning cash while heading in the wrong direction. The worlds Meta has built are often unpopulated due to a lack of interest and complaints about glitches, as well as poor graphics. If Zuckerberg is going to turn Meta into some hardware powerhouse, it isn’t working. The Metaverse transition will take years to materialize, but META stock will likely get worse before it gets better.Franklin Resources (BEN)Franklin Resources(NYSE:BEN) stock makes this list of stocks to sell, despite already having fallen roughly 35% year-to-date. On the one hand, a bullish investor might see this as a buy-the-dip opportunity in a financial stock with strong brand recognition. Additionally, BEN stock comes with a dividend yield of 5.34%, with distributions that haven’t been reduced since 1982.However, the analysts covering Franklin Resources, usually optimistic by nature, are souring on it. Of the nine analysts providing coverage, four rate it a sell, and four rate it a hold. The average 12-month price target for BEN stock sits at $23.88, only slightly higher than its current price, near $23.This company’s lower price is a result of a few things. Overall, investors can blame the markets for part of the downturn. Metrics such as the company’s dividend yield rise as the price falls, because of the way it’s calculated. Those falling prices also make metrics like the company’s price-to-book ratio seem appealing for the same reason. However, Franklin Resources has real issues. The most serious of these may be asset growth that is outpacing revenue growth over the last 5 years at a rate of 22% to 5.9%. That means the company is investing in assets that aren’t producing as much revenue, which is never a good sign.Tilray (TLRY)Last on our list of stocks to sell is cannabis player Tilray(NASDAQ:TLRY). TLRY stock began 2022 as a penny stock and that’s where it remains, with shares priced near $3.70. That’s not a knock on penny stocks by and large. There are plenty of respectable, investment-worthy companies classified as such. However, Tilray, as the largest cannabis company in the world, remains a stock to avoid. This company continues to prove that operators haven’t figured out how to efficiently make money in the young sector. Quantitative tightening isn’t helping the sector with speculative, money-losing growth stocks taking a greater beating. But even if interest rates were to magically revert to 2021 levels overnight, investors would still be wise to avoid Tilray. The truth is that Tilray can hardly be classified as a ‘growth’ stock based on its most recent earnings results.Revenues declined by $14.81 million, falling to $153.21 million in the 3 months that ended Aug. 31. Basically, Tilray simply finds novel ways to lose money. That said, the company’s cost of goods sold wasn’t a significant problem for the firm, despite many other firms suffering from higher costs. However, when all was said and done, Tilray reported a net loss of $65.79 million in the period. That was a 96% greater loss than a year earlier. Investors should not care that the company has $500 million in cash or that it expects to be cash flow positive this year. Cannabis has proven to be a losing business.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TLRY":0.9,"META":0.9,"BEN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":616,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"4098188374349060","authorId":"4098188374349060","name":"LeeShuqi","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4b6f60c29bd59b2b96edb9d2d9a0ef75","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"4098188374349060","authorIdStr":"4098188374349060"},"content":"Hahaha your reply is cute.","text":"Hahaha your reply is cute.","html":"Hahaha your reply is cute."}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":134237007,"gmtCreate":1622241000409,"gmtModify":1704181987123,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Shares Silver Trust(SLV)$Silver","listText":"$Shares Silver Trust(SLV)$Silver","text":"$Shares Silver Trust(SLV)$Silver","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/061e890ea83dcdcae5703d242e78e8e0","width":"960","height":"1664"}],"top":1,"highlighted":2,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":19,"repostSize":1,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/134237007","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":851,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9961530492,"gmtCreate":1668993100217,"gmtModify":1676538135521,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Oh","listText":"Oh","text":"Oh","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":21,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9961530492","repostId":"1117170787","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1117170787","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1669002303,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1117170787?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-11-21 11:45","market":"us","language":"en","title":"The Fed Minutes May Deliver A Massive Blow To The Stock Market","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1117170787","media":"Seeking Alpha","summary":"SummaryThe November Fed Minutes will be released Wednesday afternoon. The bond and currency markets a","content":"

Summary

The November Fed Minutes will be released Wednesday afternoon.

The bond and currency markets are already preparing for very hawkish minutes.

Fed board members appear to think rates may head towards 5%.

It will be a holiday-shortened trading week, but it will not be short on news events. The massive news event will come on Wednesday at 2 PM with the release of the November Fed minutes. These minutes will likely reverse the equity market's celebration following a lower-than-expected October CPI report, as the Fed has a different view and is already pushing back hard.

Since the release of that CPI report on November 10, Fed-speak has been crystal clear - slower rate hikes do not mean a lower terminal rate, and one better-than-expected CPI report isn't going to change the path of monetary policy. Ultimately, these speakers seem to think rates are going even higher.

St. Louis Fed Governor James Bullard suggested dovish assumptions about monetary policy justified additional rate hikes.

The November FOMC statement indicated the likelihood of a slower pace of rate hikes coming, while the FOMC press conference indicated that the terminal rate was likely to be higher than previously expected in September. Since the FOMC meeting, a strong case has been laid out by many FOMC members for the overnight rate to head over 5% and potentially to go as high as 5.25% in 2023.

If this message of higher rates is correctly delivered in the FOMC minutes, then it seems more likely than not that the equity market rally since the October CPI report in mid-November should not only pause but reverse.

VIX Positioning

Additionally, the VIX should rise sharply heading into the FOMC meeting on December 14. Not on worries over a 50 or 75 bps rate hike but due to concerns over the Fed's Summary of Economic Projections and the committee's dot plot for terminal rate for the end of 2023.

In fact, throughout 2022, there has been a pattern of the VIX rising or falling into the FOMC meeting following the market's perception of the Fed minutes. Currently, the VIX is trading towards the lower end of its trading range, around 23. The last time the VIX was this low heading into the release of the FOMC minutes came back on August 17, which also marked the end of the August rally and was followed by a sharp rise in the VIX and a very sharp decline in the S&P 500. The same thing also happened at the beginning of April, which also marked the end of the March rally, and early January, which marked the market peak.

TradingView

Rates And The Dollar

The bond market is already anticipating the more hawkish commentary out of the Fed minutes to be released this week. The Fed funds rates again call for the peak rate to be above 5% and back to levels seen immediately following the November FOMC meeting. Additionally, that peak rate is now seen coming in July instead of May, incorporating smaller rate hikes.

Bloomberg

The view of higher rates has also helped lift the 2-year yield, moving it back above 4.5%, and stopped the bleeding of the dollar index. These are critical signs that the bond and currency markets are listening to what the FOMC members are saying and taking the calls for higher rates very seriously. The Fed minutes should enforce the view of the Fed officials and should only help to push the dollar and rates even higher.

Higher rates and a strong dollar should help financial conditions tighten, pushing stock prices lower and increasing implied volatility levels.

TradingView

Fall Back Plan

Just in case the market doesn't respond appropriately to these minutes. The Fed is taking no chances heading into the FOMC meeting this time and will ensure that there will be no mix-ups from a potential article drop heading into the December meeting. There will be no repeat of the October version of the dovish pivot.

This time Jay Powell will take things into his own hands and talk for an hour at the Brookings Institute on November 30, starting at 1:30 PM ET. The talk is even more critical because it will come one day before the official FOMC blackout period starts heading into the December 14 FOMC meeting. The massive news event will come on Wednesday at 2 PM with the release of the November Fed minutes. These minutes will likely reverse the equity market's celebration following a lower-than-expected October CPI report, as the Fed has a different view and is already pushing back hard.Since the release of that CPI report on November 10, Fed-speak has been crystal clear - slower rate hikes do not mean a lower terminal rate, and one better-than-expected CPI report isn't going to change the path of monetary policy. Ultimately, these speakers seem to think rates are going even higher.St. Since the FOMC meeting, a strong case has been laid out by many FOMC members for the overnight rate to head over 5% and potentially to go as high as 5.25% in 2023.If this message of higher rates is correctly delivered in the FOMC minutes, then it seems more likely than not that the equity market rally since the October CPI report in mid-November should not only pause but reverse.VIX PositioningAdditionally, the VIX should rise sharply heading into the FOMC meeting on December 14. Not on worries over a 50 or 75 bps rate hike but due to concerns over the Fed's Summary of Economic Projections and the committee's dot plot for terminal rate for the end of 2023.In fact, throughout 2022, there has been a pattern of the VIX rising or falling into the FOMC meeting following the market's perception of the Fed minutes. The same thing also happened at the beginning of April, which also marked the end of the March rally, and early January, which marked the market peak.TradingViewRates And The DollarThe bond market is already anticipating the more hawkish commentary out of the Fed minutes to be released this week. The Fed funds rates again call for the peak rate to be above 5% and back to levels seen immediately following the November FOMC meeting. Additionally, that peak rate is now seen coming in July instead of May, incorporating smaller rate hikes.BloombergThe view of higher rates has also helped lift the 2-year yield, moving it back above 4.5%, and stopped the bleeding of the dollar index. These are critical signs that the bond and currency markets are listening to what the FOMC members are saying and taking the calls for higher rates very seriously. The Fed minutes should enforce the view of the Fed officials and should only help to push the dollar and rates even higher.Higher rates and a strong dollar should help financial conditions tighten, pushing stock prices lower and increasing implied volatility levels.TradingViewFall Back PlanJust in case the market doesn't respond appropriately to these minutes. It will be Powell's chance to make sure the market does not veer off course over those two weeks. The Fed has been telling the market all year that it intended to raise rates aggressively and wanted financial conditions to tighten. Yes, there have been countertrend rallies along the way, but if one thing is clear, the Fed has been committed to higher rates. If the minutes do not deliver that message this week, Powell will be sure to do on November 30 what he did on August 26 at Jackson Hole, putting the hammer down on the equity market again.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":399,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9919969104,"gmtCreate":1663720654108,"gmtModify":1676537322009,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Interesting ","listText":"Interesting ","text":"Interesting","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":23,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9919969104","repostId":"2269905972","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2269905972","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1663719133,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2269905972?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-09-21 08:12","market":"us","language":"en","title":"YouTube in Challenge to TikTok to Give Shorts Creators 45% of Ad Sales","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2269905972","media":"Reuters","summary":"LOS ANGELES, Sept 20 (Reuters) - YouTube unveiled a new way for creators to make money on short-form","content":"

LOS ANGELES, Sept 20 (Reuters) - YouTube unveiled a new way for creators to make money on short-form video, as it faces intensifying competition from TikTok.

The Google-owned streaming service announced Tuesday that it would introduce advertising on its video feature Shorts and give video creators 45% of the revenue. The last few trading sessions of declining stocks would seem to indicate that the late-May rally we saw has run its course. But that doesn’t mean the opportunities for buy-minded investors are all gone.The recent declines, and the overall downward trend we’ve seen year-to-date, have left many fundamentally sound stocks trading at rock bottom prices. And that may have created an opportunity for investors willing do a bit of bottom fishing.The trick for investors, however, is to tell the difference between stocks that are cheap at their new low prices and stocks that are truly broken. That’s where the Wall Street pros come in.These expert stock pickers have identified two compelling tickers whose current share prices land close to their 52-week lows. Noting that each is set to take back off on an upward trajectory, the analysts see an attractive entry point. Using TipRanks’ database, we found out that the analyst consensus has rated both a Strong Buy, with major upside potential also on tap. We’re talking about over 100% upside potential here.SeaSpine Holdings (SPNE)The first stock we'll look at is SeaSpine Holdings, a medical technology company focusing on the treatment of injuries and disorders of the spine. The company uses a series of advanced materials and techniques to develop a range of surgical implants and procedures, including orthobiologics and spinal fusion hardware, to meet the needs of orthopedic and neurosurgical specialists.SeaSpine offers solutions for anterior and posterior spinal fusions, along with surgical access and navigation technologies for a wide range of operations. In recent months, the company has announced the commercial launches of new products, such as the Explorer TLIF Oblique TO, Expandable Interbody system, the WaveForm TO system, and the OsteoTorrent DBM product family. These new launches continue SeaSpine’s history of offering best-in-class products.Last year, SeaSpine moved to shore up its product lines, through the acquisition of Toronto-based 7D Surgical. The acquisition brought 7D’s Flash Navigation into SeaSpine’s range of offerings.The company’s strong product line supports its growing revenue stream. The company reported $50.7 million in global revenues for 1Q22, up 21% from the year-ago quarter. Of this total, $45.5 million came from US sales. The revenue totals beat the forecast by 3.5%, which helped to compensate for somewhat disappointing earnings in the quarter. EPS was reported at a net loss of 45 cents per share, well below the 36-cent estimate.SeaSpine had $81.4 million in cash assets on hand at the end of Q1, a total that included $25 million borrowed against an existing credit facility. SeaSpine’s credit limit on that facility was set at $30 million, and the company is negotiating to expand it to $40 million.Looking ahead, the company is predicting year-over-year revenue growth of 21% to 23% for the full year 2022. This represents an increase of the guidance range by $5 million at the midpoint, to $231 million to $235 million. While the company’s outlook appears positive, its stock shares are down 46% so far this year.However, Piper Sandler analyst Matt O’Brien thinks this new, lower stock price could offer new investors an opportunity to get into SPNE on the cheap.“SeaSpine is experiencing strong recovery in volumes following COVID and has seen encouraging signs so far with the launch of 7D. This includes 4 earnouts now signed representing up to $2M of annual revenue as well as some of the first signs of implant pull through in select accounts that have purchased the system outright. Enabling technologies have been a big source of value creation for others in the ortho space, and we expect 7D to provide a similar boost to SPNE,\" O’Brien opined.\"Simply put, we believe SPNE has the right leadership and strategy, coupled with an impressive product offering, to continue delivering some of the best growth in spine,” the analyst summed up.All of that is enough to back up an Overweight (i.e. Buy) rating, and O’Brien’s price target, at $21, implies a one-year upside of 187% for the year ahead.The bulls are out in for this stock, who’s Strong Buy consensus rating is based on 5 unanimously positive analyst reviews. The current share price of $7.31 and the average price target of $20.20 together suggests an upside of 176% for the next 12 months.Organogenesis Holdings (ORGO)For the second stock on our list, we’ll stick with the medical technology sector. Organogenesis Holdings works in the field of regenerative medicine, where it develops, manufactures, and commercializes products for advanced wound care and surgical & sports medicines. The company focuses on products to promote both patient support and regenerative medicine.The company’s wound product lines include the PuraPly and NuShield families of dressings, designed to promote faster healing and prevent infection, along with the Affinity and Apligraf lines of living cell therapies, for the treatment of various types and sizes of wounds. The same products are also used in the surgical and sports medicine field, which also includes Osteoconductive Matrix PLUS cancellous chips and the FiberOS lines of demineralized cortical fibers.Organogenesis’ revenues grew from 2020 through 2021, but dropped off in 1Q22. The top line for the first quarter came in at $98.1 million, down from the $128.5 million reported in 4Q21 – and also down slightly from the $102.5 million in 1Q21. The company’s total sales were impacted by a 39% year-over-year decrease in the surgical & sports medicine lines that was partly offset by a 29% increase in y/y PuraPly sales.Unfortunately for investors, Organogenesis stock has been falling, and is down 45% this year. Nevertheless, SVB Securities analyst Danielle Antalffy sees plenty of reasons to stay hopeful.“With reimbursement noise seemingly behind us, a tough COVID operating environment hopefully improving as we move through 2022… we hope that investors will increasingly shift focus to the positive underlying growth drivers of the business, which we believe will return the company to a sustainable double-digit sales growth trajectory in 2023 if not in 2022. These growth drivers include the amnion portfolio, as well as sales force expansion and channel expansion -- all of which widen ORGO's competitive moat and successfully position the company for sustained above-market growth,” Antalffy wrote.To this end, Antalfy puts an Outperform (i.e. Buy) rating on ORGO stock, along with a $13 price target to suggests a growth potential of 154% by next year.Other analysts don’t beg to differ. With 4 Buy ratings and no Holds or Sells, the word on the Street is that ORGO is a Strong Buy. The shares have an average price target of $16.75, suggesting a 12-month upside of ~228% from current levels.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ORGO":1,"SPNE":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":629,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9051587685,"gmtCreate":1654728400747,"gmtModify":1676535497162,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":2,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9051587685","repostId":"2241839291","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2241839291","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1654701621,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2241839291?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-08 23:20","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Goldman Sachs: Buy These 2 Stocks Before They Surge Over 40%","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2241839291","media":"TipRanks","summary":"Uncertainty has been the name of the game in 2022. A combination of negative macro developments – a slowing global economy, the geopolitical ramifications following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and - possibly most of all - the prospect of the Fed seriously tightening its monetary policy to combat inflation – have all been weighing heavily on investors’ minds.That doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t good opportunities to take advantage of right now. The analysts at banking giant Goldman Sachs have pinpointed two names which have recently outperformed market expectations and which they believe are set to surge ahead even in the face of the unhospitable current environment – by the order of 40% or more.We ran both tickers through the TipRanks database to see what the rest of the Street has in mind for the pair. Let’s take a look at the findings.Pure Storage The first stock on Goldman Sachs' radar is Pure Storage, a provider of various data storage products. The company’s flash-based solutions come both in software and hardware form and are used in data centers. The company began by using third-party solid-state drives (SSDs) for its storage solutions. However, its own proprietary hardware soon replaced those SSDs and the company also brought into the market integrated deduplication, compression, and artificial intelligence software to help businesses conserve space and set up their devices properly.Pure Storage has formed a strong partnership with Meta, having assisted in the development of the initial version of its AI research infrastructure in 2017. Since then, the pair have continued working together and earlier this year the two began a collaboration on Meta's new AI Research SuperCluster (RSC), which Meta claims will be the fastest AI supercomputer in the world.Like most tech stocks, Pure has found 2022 hard going but that hasn’t stopped the company from delivering the goods in its latest quarterly report.In F1Q23, revenue rose by 50.3% year-over-year to reach $620.4 million, handily beating the $521.74 million Wall Street expected. Similarly, on the bottom-line, adj. EPS of $0.25 came in well above the $0.05 consensus estimate. The company delivered on the outlook too, expecting revenue of roughly $635 Million in FQ2 vs. consensus at $604.64 million. For the full year, sales are anticipated to reach $2.66 Billion. Analysts had that figure at $2.59 billion.Along with the company’s exemplary execution, it is the Meta collab which informs Goldman analyst Rod Hall’s bullish thesis.“We see this Meta opportunity as a strong revenue tailwind for Pure looking forward in FY’23. We also see ongoing strong results as an indication that Pure’s products are gaining an increasing following among enterprise and service provider customers,” the analyst opined. “At this point we see Pure’s supply management as superior to most other companies in our coverage in the IT hardware area.”The bullish comments underpin Hall’s Buy rating while his $50 price target makes room for one-year gains of 79%.Overall, PSTG has attracted a total of 10 analyst reviews recently, including 7 Buys and 3 Holds for a Moderate Buy consensus rating from the Street. PSTG shares are priced at $27.90 and have an average price target of $38, giving the stock a 36% upside on the one-year time frame.Lululemon Athletica From tech we will pivot over to an entirely different sector. Everyone knows Lululemon - the athleisure specialist. The company got its beginnings in 1998 as a yoga pants and other yoga clothing retailer, but has since evolved to include athletic wear, lifestyle clothes, personal care products and all manner of accessories. Lululemon now has over 570 stores spread across the globe while it has also built a strong online presence. In apparel, the company has been rated as the world's fourth most valuable brand.Lululemon was one of the Covid era stars as people stayed at home and slipped into more comfortable wear, while the company even managed to overcome the closure of physical stores by shifting sales online. While not immune to the market’s overall downturn, Lululemon appears to have managed well in the face of new challenges, namely the supply chain issues which have impacted so many in recent times. This was evident in the company’s latest earnings report - for F1Q22.Lululemon generated revenue of $1.6 billion, a 32% increase on the same period a year ago, while diluted EPS hit $1.48. Both were above the analysts’ forecast of $1.55 billion and $1.43, respectively. There was more good news for the outlook. For FQ2, Lululemon sees revenue coming in the range between $1.750 billion to $1.775 billion, above consensus of $1.73 billion. And the company also raised its revenue and EPS outlook for the full year.Surveying the print, Goldman Sachs analyst Brooke Roach is thoroughly impressed. She writes, “We come away from the quarter with increased conviction in LULU’s strong brand engine fueled by innovation. While industry cost pressures are weighing on margin flow-through (where airfreight pressures have lowered full year margin outlook modestly), we continue to see this idiosyncratic growth story as well-positioned to navigate a tough backdrop as the company has meaningful pricing power, strong consumer connection, and less exposure to inflating AUCs (average unit cost).”Accordingly, Roach rates the stock a Buy, backed by a $456 price target. Going by this target, shares are expected to climb 48% higher over the one-year timeframe.Looking at the consensus breakdown, the majority of analysts are bullish on LULU's prospects, too; 19 Buys and 7 Holds add up to a Moderate Buy consensus rating. After briefly being down over 20% year to date (YTD), the Nasdaq Composite is now down less than 10% YTD. Similarly, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average are both down less than 5% YTD and are officially out of correction territory.With the market processing rising interest rates, the prospect of lower inflation, and improving geopolitical risks, is now the time to go all-in on the stock market? Or is there a better alternative?Be greedy when others are fearfulWarren Buffett, the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway ( BRK.A, BRK.B), is known for his long-term track record of beating the stock market. But he's also known for one of the most famous quotes in investing, which is \"to be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.\" It's a strategy that tends to keep investors out of trouble, both in recognizing when a stock is overvalued and pouncing on buying opportunities.In the past four years, there have been three major sell-offs. In late 2018, a brief bear market happened almost entirely in the last three months of the year. But it proved to be an amazing buying opportunity, as the S&P 500 proceeded to produce big gains in 2019.The next big sell-off was the spring 2020 COVID-19-induced crash, which also proved to be a buying opportunity that led to massive gains during the rest of that year and through most of 2021. The third sell-off is the one we are still in now. And if history continues to repeat itself, it too will probably prove to be a fantastic long-term buying opportunity.Expect the unexpectedYou may be asking yourself: If now is a good time to buy, why not just go all-in on the U.S. stock market? Well, that's a bad idea for a number of reasons.For starters, it's important to have an emergency fund in case unexpected medical expenses or unforeseen crises emerge. Although the stock market has been a great vehicle for fueling wealth creation over time, no one knows how it could perform in the short term. The market has staged an epic rebound, but it could give up all of those gains for a number of reasons, such as more aggressive monetary policy, a worsening geopolitical situation, or an infinite number of unknowns.Going hard into the stock market without reserve dry powder leaves you overly exposed to short-term volatility. By putting money to work in the stock market that you don't need anytime soon, you can take the pressure off of short-term gyrations and keep a level head in case the market sell-off resumes.A better approachYes, it sounds boring. But the best approach to investing is to simply dollar-cost average a portion of your income into stocks over time. That's the classic advice, anyway. Of course, an investor can operate with a little more wiggle room by keeping a set amount of cash on the sidelines that they only wait to deploy if there's a truly juicy buying opportunity. In that scenario, it would make sense to begin considering some of the many stocks that are on sale now.Selectively buying great companies that go on sale is a worthwhile strategy to pair with dollar-cost averaging. In this vein, an investor can harness a sort of hybrid passive/active approach that leaves room for discipline and creativity.Navigating volatilityEven if the market doesn't retest its lows and keeps surging in 2022, it is likely to suffer more corrections and bear markets in the years to come. Timing the market is difficult, and short-term price movements can be random, confusing, and grounded in nothing that has to do with the fundamental business.Understanding that the market can do crazy, unpredictable things can help keep emotions in check during a stock market sell-off, as well as quell the urge to go all-in, even when it may be tempting to do so.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":496,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9913745154,"gmtCreate":1664076953578,"gmtModify":1676537387170,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ha","listText":"Ha","text":"Ha","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":20,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9913745154","repostId":"2270941294","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":308,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9046457318,"gmtCreate":1656379701034,"gmtModify":1676535817948,"author":{"id":"3574026189533561","authorId":"3574026189533561","name":"K74","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/0915c1dbb625a1fab842a01a98e9f31a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574026189533561","authorIdStr":"3574026189533561"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yeah","listText":"Yeah","text":"Yeah","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":2,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9046457318","repostId":"1190097673","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1190097673","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1656338788,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1190097673?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-27 22:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Cut to $1,150; Coinbase Cut to $45 | Price Target Changes","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1190097673","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Evercore ISI Group cut United Airlines Holdings, Inc. price target from $56 to $45. But the bullish long-term bias of the market tells us that stocks will almost certainly resume their uptrend. When they do, nearly all tech stocks should bounce to some extent, but the best tech stocks could soar.Historically, the broader market tends to perform well during the November-to-April timespan. Of course, this is no guarantee for success. Still, it adds a powerful backdrop for those looking to put capital to work in one of the more speculative sectors of the market.In searching for the best tech stocks to buy, we’re sticking with financial data. Leveraging the analytical tools ofGuruFocus.com, the below equities all feature fundamentally low risk and discounted prices.Here are the best tech stocks to buy in November.Nvidia (NVDA)A multinational technology firm, Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA) primarily garnered attention through its specialty in graphics processing units. However, the company also made significant investments in deep learning and protocols involving artificial intelligence. Currently, the company commands a market capitalization of $345 billion. On a year-to-date basis, NVDA is down 53%.Despite the steep losses, contrarian investors should consider gradually picking up shares.GuruFocus utilizes proprietary calculations to determine that NVDA stock is significantly undervalued. Based on more traditional metrics, Nvidia features excellent income-statement performance figures. For instance, the company’s three-year revenue growth rate stands at 31.3%. Its book growth rate during the aforementioned period hit 40.2%. Both stats rank at least near the 90th percentile for the industry. On the bottom line, Nvidia carries a net margin of 26%. This ranks above 87% of the competition.To top it off, NVDA is tethered to a strong balance sheet. Mainly, its Altman Z-Score is a lofty 12 points, reflecting extremely low bankruptcy risk. Thus, NVDA easily ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November.Adobe (ADBE)Adobe(NASDAQ:ADBE) is a software company that mainly aligns with creatives. Historically, it’s known for the creation and publication of a wide range of content, including graphics, photography, illustration, animation, multimedia/video, motion pictures and print. Currently, Adobe carries a market cap of $151 billion after slipping 43% year to date.Again, based onGuruFocus’proprietary metrics, Adobe rates as significantly undervalued. One traditional metric regarding valuation to consider is its price-earnings-growth ratio of 1.09. This rates favorably below the industry median of 1.4 times.However, Adobe draws the most attention for its income statement-related performance. For example, the company’s three-year revenue growth rate and free cash flow growth rate stand at 21.9% and 23.7%, respectively. Both figures rank conspicuously above sector averages.On the bottom line, Adobe carries a net margin of 28%, well above the industry median of 1.9%. Throw in a stable balance sheet and you have another solid candidate for best tech stocks to buy in November.Intel (INTC)One of the powerhouses in the semiconductor industry, Intel(NASDAQ:INTC) represents the world’s second-largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue. Per its corporate profile, it’s also one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets, the instruction sets found in most personal computers. Presently, INTC commands a market cap of $119 billion and is down 44% for the year.Despite sharp losses, INTC is among the best tech stocks to buy in November. Notably, INTC is significantly undervalued based on traditional metrics. Its forward P/E ratio is 10.1, below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its Shiller P/E ratio is 7.6, below the sector median of nearly 24.On the income statement, Intel features an overall solid profile. Its three-year book growth rate stands at 12.4%, above 61.5% of the competition. For net margin, it hit 26%, better than 87% of its peers.Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM)A multinational semiconductor firm, Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) represents the world’s most valuable semiconductor company, the world’s largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry, and one of Taiwan’s largest companies, per its public profile. Presently, TSM commands a market cap of nearly $322 billion and is down 48% year to date.Despite the severe erosion of equity value, TSM ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November for contrarians. PerGuruFocus, TSM is significantly undervalued. The company’s forward P/E ratio is 10.9 is below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its price-to-owner earnings ratio is 10.5, below the industry median of 16.1.Primarily, though, TSM is all about its profitability machine. Gross, operating and net margins hit 55%, 44.7% and 40.6% respectively. Each of these metrics was well above sector median levels. As well, TSM enjoys solid growth figures, with its three-year revenue growth rate coming in at 15.5%. This ranks above 68.5% of the competition.Applied Materials (AMAT)Applied Materials(NASDAQ:AMAT) represents the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world, per its website. Currently, Applied Materials features a market cap of $77 billion, and the stock is down 43% year to date.PerGuruFocus, AMAT stock is significantly undervalued. A notable standout in terms of traditional metrics is its PEG ratio of 0.56. This ranks favorably below the industry median of 0.75.Primarily, though, Applied Materials will likely draw attention as one of the best tech stocks to buy in November because of its high-quality business. Specifically, the company’s return on equity and return on assets hit 55.5% and 26.1%, respectively. Both stats rank among the upper echelons of the semiconductor industry.To top it off, AMAT features a stable balance sheet. Most prominently, its Altman Z-Score of 7.5 implies low bankruptcy risk.Lam Research (LRCX)Lam Research(NASDAQ:LRCX) is an American supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and related services to the semiconductor industry. Currently, the company carries a market cap of slightly over $55 billion after falling 44% year to date. The stock’s average daily volume is approximately 1.9 million shares.Fundamentally, the case for LRCX as one of the top tech stocks to buy in November is two-fold. First, Lam represents a high-quality business. Its return on equity is a blistering 75.8%. That’s above 99% of the semiconductor industry. As well, the company’s return on assets hit 28.6%, ranking above 97% of its peers.Second, Lam enjoys outstanding sales-related performance. For example, its three-year revenue growth rate is 26.6%, better than 84% of the competition. As well, the company’s book growth rate during the same period is 11.9%, better than nearly 60% of its rivals.NXP Semiconductors (NXPI)Netherlands-based NXP Semiconductors(NASDAQ:NXPI) is a semiconductor designer and manufacturer. After falling 33% this year, it has a market cap of roughly $40 billion. Average trading volume is around 2.1 million shares a day.Interestingly, the YTD performance makes NXP one of the better-performing semiconductor firms. However, that’s not the reason why it’s on this list of best tech stocks to buy in November. Fundamentally, the stock is significantly undervalued based on proprietary calculations. And its forward P/E ratio of 10.6 is below the industry median of 13.7 times.The company enjoys substantive profitability margins, including an operating margin of 27%, which ranks above 84% of its peers. It’s also a high-quality business with a return on equity of nearly 36%.About the one glaring risk factor is balance sheet stability. Its Altman Z-Score pings at 2.4, which is in a gray zone. However, the higher-risk profile could lead to potentially greater gains.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"INTC":0.9,"NVDA":0.9,"AMAT":0.9,"LRCX":0.9,"TSM":0.9,"ADBE":0.9,"NXPI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":486,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
