process","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1104432279","media":"CNN","summary":"New York/New Delhi (CNN Business)Ford is ending production in India and taking a hit of $2 billion a","content":"
New York/New Delhi (CNN Business)Ford is ending production in India and taking a hit of $2 billion as it retrenches from a market that has been almost impossible for American automakers to break into.
\n
In an announcement Thursday, the company said that roughly 4,000 employees will be laid off and manufacturing will end immediately. CEO Jim Farley said the move was \"difficult but necessary\" to achieve long-term growth.
\n
\"Despite investing significantly in India, Ford has accumulated more than $2 billion of operating losses over the past 10 years and demand for new vehicles has been much weaker than forecast,\" Farley said.
\n
Ford's India head, Anurag Mehrotra, said that the unit has not been able to find a \"sustainable path forward to long-term profitability that includes in-country vehicle manufacturing.\" He added that the decision was \"reinforced by years of accumulated losses, persistent industry overcapacity and lack of expected growth in India's car market.\"
\n
Two Ford plants in the cities of Sanand and Chennai will shutter in the coming months and the company will \"work closely\" with employees affected by the closures.
\n
Ford (F) has long struggled in India, which was the world's fifth largest auto market last year. The automaker began operations there in 1995, and has invested more than $2 billion in the country over the past 25 years.
\n
But it has barely picked up any market share. Ford's control of the market stood at roughly 1.8% in July, down from nearly 2.1% a year ago, according the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations, a body representing automobile dealers.
\n
Top carmaker Maruti Suzuki — an Indian firm owned by Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation — had nearly 45% market share in July, while South Korea's Hyundai (HYMTF) controlled 17%.
\n
Even with those challenges, the decision to end production surprised some industry experts.
\n
\"It has come as a shock since they had invested so much in India,\" said Hormazd Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India. He attributed Ford's problems to the company's inability to \"get the Indian psyche,\" saying that the automaker had spent money in areas that customers did not appreciate.
\n
Sorabjee pointed, for example, to the Sanand plant, which he argued was too costly. (The factory cost $1 billion and opened in 2015, according to Reuters.)
\n
\"It is built like a Taj Mahal,\" he added. \"The western manufacturers just don't think frugal.\"
\n
In 2019, Ford reached a deal with local rival Mahindra to transfer most of its Indian business into a new joint venture, but the deal fell apart late last year. CEO Jim Farley said the move was \"difficult but necessary\" to achieve long-term growth.\n\"Despite investing significantly in India, Ford has accumulated more than $2 billion of operating losses over the past 10 years and demand for new vehicles has been much weaker than forecast,\" Farley said.\nFord's India head, Anurag Mehrotra, said that the unit has not been able to find a \"sustainable path forward to long-term profitability that includes in-country vehicle manufacturing.\" He added that the decision was \"reinforced by years of accumulated losses, persistent industry overcapacity and lack of expected growth in India's car market.\"\nTwo Ford plants in the cities of Sanand and Chennai will shutter in the coming months and the company will \"work closely\" with employees affected by the closures.\nFord (F) has long struggled in India, which was the world's fifth largest auto market last year. The automaker began operations there in 1995, and has invested more than $2 billion in the country over the past 25 years.\nBut it has barely picked up any market share. Ford's control of the market stood at roughly 1.8% in July, down from nearly 2.1% a year ago, according the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations, a body representing automobile dealers.\nTop carmaker Maruti Suzuki — an Indian firm owned by Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation — had nearly 45% market share in July, while South Korea's Hyundai (HYMTF) controlled 17%.\nEven with those challenges, the decision to end production surprised some industry experts.\n\"It has come as a shock since they had invested so much in India,\" said Hormazd Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India. He attributed Ford's problems to the company's inability to \"get the Indian psyche,\" saying that the automaker had spent money in areas that customers did not appreciate.\nSorabjee pointed, for example, to the Sanand plant, which he argued was too costly. (The factory cost $1 billion and opened in 2015, according to Reuters.)\n\"It is built like a Taj Mahal,\" he added. \"The western manufacturers just don't think frugal.\"\nIn 2019, Ford reached a deal with local rival Mahindra to transfer most of its Indian business into a new joint venture, but the deal fell apart late last year. The companies cited \"fundamental changes in global economic and business conditions\" caused in part by the pandemic.\nFord is the latest US carmaker to cut back its India business in recent years. General Motors (GM) announced in 2017 that it would stop selling cars in the country.\n\"While India appears to be a very promising market from outside, it is also a really tough one,\" said Ruchit Agarwal, co-founder and CFO of CARS24, an online marketplace for used cars. He called the market \"price-sensitive,\" adding that the average selling price of a new car is about $10,000.\nThat cheap car market is \"locked by a handful of manufacturers\" who have figured out how to operate in Asia's third largest economy, Sorabjee said.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"F":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2425,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":888550005,"gmtCreate":1631510052907,"gmtModify":1676530561785,"author":{"id":"3575859183800572","authorId":"3575859183800572","name":"w8w8","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1a305fe39d1c227693a64cc331afda1a","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575859183800572","authorIdStr":"3575859183800572"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Teamed","listText":"Teamed","text":"Teamed","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/888550005","repostId":"1131024984","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2176,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":888527102,"gmtCreate":1631510011606,"gmtModify":1676530561760,"author":{"id":"3575859183800572","authorId":"3575859183800572","name":"w8w8","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1a305fe39d1c227693a64cc331afda1a","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575859183800572","authorIdStr":"3575859183800572"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Royal Philips NV(PHG)$steamed","listText":"$Royal Philips NV(PHG)$steamed","text":"$Royal Philips NV(PHG)$steamed","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d1d10681aa9718990d1804988c13381d","width":"720","height":"2520"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/888527102","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":726,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":881504761,"gmtCreate":1631355855353,"gmtModify":1676530534919,"author":{"id":"3575859183800572","authorId":"3575859183800572","name":"w8w8","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1a305fe39d1c227693a64cc331afda1a","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575859183800572","authorIdStr":"3575859183800572"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Teamed","listText":"Teamed","text":"Teamed","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/881504761","repostId":"2166542372","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2166542372","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1631323318,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2166542372?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-09-11 09:21","market":"sh","language":"en","title":"China reports 25 new COVID-19 cases on Sept 10 vs 17 a day earlier","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2166542372","media":"Reuters","summary":"SHANGHAI, Sept 11 (Reuters) - China reported 25 new COVID-19 cases on the mainland for Sept. 10, up ","content":"

SHANGHAI, Sept 11 (Reuters) - China reported 25 new COVID-19 cases on the mainland for Sept. 10, up from 17 a day earlier, the national health authority said on Saturday.

One of the new infections was locally transmitted while the rest were imported, the National Health Commission said.

The number of new asymptomatic cases, which China does not classify as confirmed cases, was 21, the same as the day before. recovery and the possible tapering of monetary stimulus hurt economy-linked sectors and put the Dow and the S&P 500 on course for their worst week since mid-June.
\n
At 07:52 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis were down 139 points, or 0.40%, S&P 500 E-minis were down 16.5 points, or 0.37% and Nasdaq 100 E-minis were down 24 points, or 0.16%.
\n
<img premarket:
\n
1) John Deere – The heavy equipment maker reported quarterly earnings of $5.32 per share, compared with a consensus estimate of $4.58, and its revenue beat forecasts as well. Deere was up 1.1% in premarket trading as it also raised its full-year earnings forecast on solid demand for farm equipment.
\n
2) Foot Locker – Foot Locker shares surged 6.2% in the premarket after the athletic footwear and apparel maker reported better-than-expected second-quarter results. Foot Locker earned an adjusted $2.21 per share, compared with a $1.01 consensus estimate, and comparable stores sales rose 6.9%. Analysts had expected a slight decline in comp sales.
\n
3) Buckle – The fashion accessories retailer beat estimates by 18 cents with quarterly earnings of $1.04 per share, and revenue above estimates as the company benefited from more in-person shopping. The stock jumped 4.6% in premarket trading.
\n
4) Spotify Technology S.A. – The music streaming service announced that its board approved a $1 billion stock buyback. Chief Financial Officer Paul Vogel said the move demonstrates the company’s confidence in its business and long-term growth opportunities. Spotify added 1.1% in the premarket.
\n
5) Applied Materials – The maker of semiconductor manufacturing equipment beat estimates by 13 cents with an adjusted quarterly profit of $1.90 per share and revenue also topping analyst predictions. It also gave a better-than-expected outlook, but Applied Materials shares fell 1.3% in premarket trading.
\n
6) Ross – The discount retailer reported a quarterly profit of $1.39 per share, beating the 98 cent consensus estimate, and also reported better-than-expected revenue. However, its current-quarter and full-year earnings outlook fell short of analyst forecasts, and the stock slid 4% in premarket action.
\n
7) Johnson & Johnson – Chief Executive Officer Alex Gorsky announced plans to step aside on Jan. 3, with company veteran Joaquin Duato taking over and Gorsky assuming the role of executive chairman.
\n
8) Lordstown Motors Corp. – The electric vehicle maker’s shares rose 2.1% in the premarket, recovering a small part of the 9.5% Thursday drop that had sent the stock to its lowest since going public. That took place after the annual shareholder meeting that lasted only 10 minutes.
\n
9) Adobe – The software maker announced a deal to buy cloud-based video collaboration platform Frame.io for $1.275 billion in cash. Overnight, the DXY found a floor at 93.500 before rising to 93.684 at best as sentiment in Europe is tainted in early trade. From a technical standpoint, the index eyes resistance around the 93.900 mark - which acted as a ceiling on several occasions during Q3 and Q4 2020. Above that, a breach of the psychological 94.000 mark could open the door to resistance around 94.300 (4th Nov 2020 high), 94.500 and thereafter the 100 and 200 WMAs at 94.650 and 94.807 - although these are still some way off. To the downside, yesterday’s low was at 93.214, the psychological 93.000, whilst the 21 DMA (92.674) and the 50 DMA (92.377) reside just below. Ahead, an empty state-side calendar but price action will likely be dictated by the risk tone. As a side note Fed Chair Powell is to speak on the economic outlook at the Jackson Hole Symposium on August 27th at 15:00BST/10:00EDT.
\n
In commodities,WTI and Brent front-month futures are once again on a softer footing amid the continuing COVID concerns coupled with the cautious tone around the market. On the former, the overnight session saw an extension of the Kiwi nationwide lockdown alongside Australia's Sydney's curbs extended until the end of September. Aside from that news flow has been quiet for the complex and the market in general - with sentiment and Delta woes likely to take precedence in the absence of catalysts. WTI makes its way back towards UD 63/bbl (vs high 64.04/bbl) and Brent towards USD 66/bbl (vs 66.93 high). Elsewhere, spot gold and silver vary but remain flat in the grander scheme above USD 1,775/oz and north of USD 23/oz respectively. Base metals meanwhile see a mild rebound from yesterday's violent selloff, but benchmark LME copper remains sub-9,000/t after finding a ceiling at the mark.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Toplines Before US Market Opens Friday
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nToplines Before US Market Opens Friday\n
\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Tiger Newspress
\n
2021-08-20 19:47
\n
\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
(Aug 20) U.S. stock index futures fell on Friday, as concerns over a slowing economic recovery and the possible tapering of monetary stimulus hurt economy-linked sectors and put the Dow and the S&P 500 on course for their worst week since mid-June.
\n
At 07:52 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis were down 139 points, or 0.40%, S&P 500 E-minis were down 16.5 points, or 0.37% and Nasdaq 100 E-minis were down 24 points, or 0.16%.
\n

\n
Stocks making the biggest moves premarket:
\n
1) John Deere – The heavy equipment maker reported quarterly earnings of $5.32 per share, compared with a consensus estimate of $4.58, and its revenue beat forecasts as well. But some fans of trendy momentum stocks aren't giving up on them just yet.
\n
That's the message from Cathie Wood of Ark Invest — who has become one of the more influential voices on Wall Street and is a major backer of Tesla (TSLA)— and two other titans of growth investing, who shared their investment insights Thursday.
\n
\"We've seen higher valuation stocks hit hard this year. But the growth for these innovative companies will still be treated well over time,\" Wood said during a webcast hosted by Cboe (CBOE) Global Markets.
\n
Wood joined Kevin O'Leary of \"Shark Tank\" fame (he also runs a family of O'Shares ETFs) and Jan van Eck, whose firm recently launched the BUZZ ETF that tracks stocks popular on social media, for the Cboe chat.
\n
Wood noted that investors are shifting their money into more so-called cyclical areas — those dependent on the success of the economy, like retailers and airlines — and said that's a good thing. She's encouraged to see that the broader market rally is broadening even further.
\n
The bullish case for growth stocks still exists
\n
As the economy continues its fragile recovery, fears about bond yields and inflation have been high. But all three of the fund managers said they are not too worried about these trends hurting growth stocks.
\n
They also stressed that younger individual investors will continue to play a big role in the market thanks to the rise of zero commission brokerage firms: \"There are a lot of retail investors playing in the market thanks to Robinhood and Coinbase. Individual investors are more engaged,\" van Eck said.
\n
He says investors should flock more to companies that have a big competitive advantage, such as those in his firm'sWide Moat ETF(MOAT)— which invests in stocks that are dominant in their respective fields, like its key holdings including Charles Schwab (SCHW),Intel (INTC),Microsoft (MSFT) and Amazon(AMZN).
\n
O'Leary, too, believes the stock market boom can last, saying he $1.9 trillion in new stimulus is \"free money\" for many investors. But he's not buying into the notion that cyclical stocks can continue to outperform tech for much longer.
\n
\"Yes, people are seeking quality. But some sectors are permanently damaged and airlines are one of them due to technology,\" he said. \"I don't need to fly to Dubai as much anymore for meetings when were doing Zoom calls every week.\"
\n
O'Leary said he is also willing to make some speculative bets on emerging industries that aren't getting a lot of attention. For example, O'Leary's firm owns shares of MindMed (MMEDF), which is working on developing legal psychedelic medications that can be used to help treat depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders.
\n
Wood is also investing in innovative health care companies, with oneArk ETF devoted to genomics (ARKG). And she thinks younger investors, many of whom are inheriting money from baby boomers, will continue to gravitate toward more dynamic fields like robotics and alternative energy. So she's not too concerned that the recent rebound in value stocks spells an end to the tech renaissance.
\n
\"A lot of companies catering to short-term investors who wanted profits now invested more in stock buybacks and dividends over innovation,\" Wood said. \"That puts them in harm's way.\"
\n
'Prime time' for bitcoin coming?
\n
Wood also thinks bitcoin is ready for \"prime time\" and that prices will continue climbing over the long haul as more companies will adopt crypto-friendly strategies like Tesla andSquar(SQ)have done. But he said Thursday that he is growing more convinced that bitcoin will gain traction, and he believes it makes to have about 3% of a portfolio in bitcoin as well as crypto miner stocks.
\n
And van Eck noted that the upcoming market debut of Coinbase will be one to watch — at a potential valuation of $100 billion following its direct listing, the stock would dwarf the roughly $24 billion market value of Nasda.(NDAQ)
\n
With that in mind, van Eck expects more big investment firms to try to cash in on bitcoin or risk being left out.Fidelit,(EFIPX) for example, just jointed a growing list of firms filing to launch a crypto ETF with the SEC.
\n
\"Crypto Wall Street will be a disruptive threat to traditional banks and institutions,\" van Eck said.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Here's why Cathie Wood and Kevin O'Leary are still bullish on growth stocks
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nHere's why Cathie Wood and Kevin O'Leary are still bullish on growth stocks\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-03-26 21:25 GMT+8 CNN Business\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
New York (CNN Business) - Tech stocks have taken a hit lately as investors continue to seek comfort in banks, big oil and other value sectors. Bipartisan talk of antitrust actions against the e-commerce giant could mean that Amazon’s dominance could begin to face challenges from Washington. That comes as Bezos handed off the CEO role to Andy Jassy earlier this month.
\n
Shares of Amazon have underperformed the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 in 2021, even as the coronavirus pandemic forced Americans to rely on its service during the darkest days.
\n
Given all this, it is worth considering e-commerce alternatives if you’re worried that Amazon’s best days are behind it.
\n
Here are five smaller high-growth companies you may want to research:
\n
Sea
\n
Shares of Sea Ltd. are up about 45% in 2021, hitting new all-time highs as it continues its aggressive growth across Asia and Latin America.
\n
The Singapore-based company has a broad business model capitalizing on e-commerce and digital retail operations around the world. That includes its Garena digital entertainment platform that publishes video games and offers e-sports tie-ins, the Shopee e-commerce platform and SeaMoney digital financial services that include mobile payment services.
\n
Sea was a darling in 2020 as it rode the “stay at home trade” to great success. Revenue doubled year over year in 2020 to $4.4 billion, and the company’s momentum was the envy of Wall Street as Sea stock racked up roughly 640% gains on the calendar year.
\n
But the fundamentals shown by Sea in 2021 hint that the surge in share prices were justified. Consider that in its first-quarter report in May, revenue surged by about 150%— while gross profit tripled year over year.
\n
With its next earnings report scheduled for mid-August, Sea stock could see another leg up as it continues to prove Amazon isn’t the only e-commerce name worth watching.
\n
Coupang
\n
While Sea has been a cult stock for a while in some circles, one Asian e-commerce stock that is still flying under the radar for many is Korea-based Coupang Inc.. South Korea’s biggest e-commerce company began trading in March after an IPO that raised $4.6 billion, but since then shares have drifted lower — and other cult-like stocks have won all the attention.
\n
If you haven’t yet heard of Coupang, its model should be quite familiar. It sells various products including home goods, apparel, beauty products, sporting goods and electronics. It’s also looking beyond these tried-and-true categories to include a focus on fresh food and groceries, as well as services including travel and restaurant delivery.
\n
Though the fundamentals are light given its recent debut, the numbers we have do show this regional e-tailer is connecting in a big way in Korea. Namely, it saw net revenue growth of 74% in its first-quarter report in May, and gross profit up 70% year over year. Total customers grew 21%, and revenue per customer surged 44%.
\n
Admittedly, the total customer base in that quarter was just 16 million households — hardly Amazon-esque. And so far in 2021, share prices has slumped slightly, even though the S&P 500 has powered higher. But remember, this is a company that just raised $4.6 billion — with a “B” — and is serious about growth. Considering the language and logistical barriers to competition in the markets it serves that clearly have long-term growth potential, investors may want to consider the lull in Coupang shares a buying opportunity.
\n
MercadoLibre
\n
Taking a page out of the playbook of Silicon Valley stocks that boast high share prices and a refusal to split, MercadoLibre Inc. is currently trading well above four figures — and based on recent history, seems as if it’s likely to stay there.
\n
MercadoLibre stock has cooled off in 2021 and is sitting on a slight loss year to date, compared with an uptrend broadly for U.S. stocks. However, that’s after this Latin American stock racked up 200% gains last year. Argentina-based MercadoLibre is hardly slowing down, however, as in the first quarter it reported 70 million active users — an increase of 62% above the just over 43 million users in the prior year. Gross merchandise volume was up even more at a 77% year-over-year growth rate to just over $6 billion, compared with $3.4 billion in the first quarter of 2020.
\n
What’s really exciting for investors, however, is that the gains in core e-commerce transactions is supplemented by continued growth into financial services. MercadoLibre reported an impressive $2.9 billion in payment volume through its mobile wallet platform, and its Mercado Credito lending platform saw its portfolio grow to $576 million — more than doubling over the prior year.
\n
Amazon has taught e-commerce companies that dominating all aspects of the consumer experience is how to truly build a dominant operation. With MercadoLibre growing sales but also increasingly connecting on the financial side, it is setting up itself to be a force in Latin America — and a real competitor to even entrenched western e-commerce brands.
\n
Newegg
\n
Newegg Commerce Inc. is a consumer-electronics e-tailer that has a bit of a following in computer geek circles but largely has gone unnoticed by most consumers and investors. That is, until it spiked from $10 a share to a brief high above $60 a share in July.
\n
The inciting incident was news that Newegg would carry hard-to-get Nvidia graphics hardware, and theoretically see a big bump in revenue and profits as a result. However, Newegg may be proving that it is much more than just a tangential play piggybacking off Nvidia as it proves there is real value to specialty retailers that serve a specific audience — and can offer in-demand products instead of knock-offs propped up by fraudulent five-star reviews.
\n
Newegg went public via a SPAC, so it doesn’t have a lot of history to show investors just yet. But what little we know is proof that Newegg stock has potential. Consider it commands an impressive market share when it comes to core hardware items like PC processors, motherboards and the like. It also ranks as a top-five website worldwide when it comes to computer and electronics retailing sites, and is a go-to site for cryptocurrency miners as well as PC gamers.
\n
According to what we know about the financials, Newegg topped $2.1 billion in sales, thanks to its dominance in this profitable niche of computer components. And as evidenced by its recent Nvidia score, it has deep relationships with consumer electronics suppliers to ensure it is not just another Amazon clone selling cut-rate flat screens.
\n
Shopify
\n
If you’re interested in what life looks like for e-commerce beyond Amazon, look no further than Shopify Inc..This Canada-based tech company offers a platform for any company to build out web and mobile storefronts, integrate those operations into physical retail locations and then assist with the nitty gritty of inventory, shipping and payments.
\n
Shopify stock was one of those names that made a lot of headlines in 2020 as part of the pandemic-related surge in service providers made for social distancing. Shares surged from about $400 to $1,100 last year as a result of everyone looking to do business digitally. But in 2021, Shopify stock has tacked on almost 40% more, proving this is not just a COVID trade. After all, the e-commerce potential it helps merchants realize is real and lasting beyond the pandemic.
\n
Case in point:Fiscal first-quarter revenue growth reported at the end of April was a red hot 110%. But what long-term investors will like even more is that its subscription service metric MRR — that is, monthly recurring revenue — accelerated 62% year-over-year to prove that many of the initial spend on building out these platforms is sticking as clients maintain their Shopify presence.
\n
Shopify isn’t quite the scale of Amazon, but at $200 billion or so in market value right now with a comfortable operating profit to sustain it, investors who want to bet the field vs. Bezos & Co. could do worse than plug into Shopify stock.
","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Amazon's stock looks tired. It also ranks as a top-five website worldwide when it comes to computer and electronics retailing sites, and is a go-to site for cryptocurrency miners as well as PC gamers.\nAccording to what we know about the financials, Newegg topped $2.1 billion in sales, thanks to its dominance in this profitable niche of computer components. And as evidenced by its recent Nvidia score, it has deep relationships with consumer electronics suppliers to ensure it is not just another Amazon clone selling cut-rate flat screens.\nShopify\nIf you’re interested in what life looks like for e-commerce beyond Amazon, look no further than Shopify Inc..This Canada-based tech company offers a platform for any company to build out web and mobile storefronts, integrate those operations into physical retail locations and then assist with the nitty gritty of inventory, shipping and payments.\nShopify stock was one of those names that made a lot of headlines in 2020 as part of the pandemic-related surge in service providers made for social distancing. Shares surged from about $400 to $1,100 last year as a result of everyone looking to do business digitally. But in 2021, Shopify stock has tacked on almost 40% more, proving this is not just a COVID trade. After all, the e-commerce potential it helps merchants realize is real and lasting beyond the pandemic.\nCase in point:Fiscal first-quarter revenue growth reported at the end of April was a red hot 110%. But what long-term investors will like even more is that its subscription service metric MRR — that is, monthly recurring revenue — accelerated 62% year-over-year to prove that many of the initial spend on building out these platforms is sticking as clients maintain their Shopify presence.\nShopify isn’t quite the scale of Amazon, but at $200 billion or so in market value right now with a comfortable operating profit to sustain it, investors who want to bet the field vs. Bezos & Co. could do worse than plug into Shopify stock.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CPNG":0.9,"SHOP":0.9,"SE":0.9,"AMZN":0.9,"NEGG":0.9,"MELI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":419,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":149909254,"gmtCreate":1625699325278,"gmtModify":1703746486309,"author":{"id":"3575859183800572","authorId":"3575859183800572","name":"w8w8","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1a305fe39d1c227693a64cc331afda1a","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575859183800572","idStr":"3575859183800572"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Steamed la la","listText":"Steamed la la","text":"Steamed la la","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/149909254","repostId":"2149313387","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2149313387","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1625669529,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2149313387?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-07 22:52","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Phillips Edison targets over $3 bln valuation in U.S. IPO","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2149313387","media":"Reuters","summary":"July 7 (Reuters) - Phillips Edison & Company Inc, which owns and operates omnichannel shopping cente","content":"
July 7 (Reuters) - Phillips Edison & Company Inc, which owns and operates omnichannel shopping centers, is aiming for a valuation of about up to $3.4 billion, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday.
\n
The company, which manages more than 300 shopping centers of which 278 are wholly owned by the company, plans to sell 17 million shares priced at between $28 and $31 per share, raising about $527 million.
\n
Adjusting for a one-for-three reverse stock split that was executed on July 2, 2021, the IPO price would be expected to be between $9.33 and $10.33 per share, the company said.
\n
Phillips Edison has 5,500 tenants including Trader Joe's, Walmart , Walgreens , Starbucks , Burger King and T.J.
