It's time to part ways.","content":"

Avoid these three risky dividend stocks for now.

AT&T (T): It used to be a reliable blue chip, but the firm’s lackluster results and heavy debt load make it scary now.

TriplePoint Venture Growth (TPVG): This isn’t the time to bet on venture capital lending.

Best Buy (BBY): Weakening consumer sentiment and the e-commerce threat will drag Best Buy down.

Interest rates are soaring, the economy faces many challenges and the Federal Reserve remains aggressive in its campaign to stamp out inflation.

Amid this uncertainty, investors are turning to dividend stocks for solid income during these worrisome times. However, you should be careful when picking dividend stocks. Not all income yields are created equal.

In fact, in the case of these three dividend stocks to sell, trouble looms just over the horizon. It’s time to dump these three stocks before they cut their payouts and their share prices plunge.

AT&T (T)

Way back in 1993, AT&T (NYSE: T) traded for $15/share. At the time, it had a great position in landline telephony along with investments in emerging fields that would become the internet and mobile communications. AT&T shares would rally several times in the ensuing years as investors hoped AT&T would cash in on the new developments in the industry.

And yet, fast forward to today, and T stock trades for $15/share once again. The only meaningful return over that time came from the dividend. And even that is less generous than it used to be, as AT&T slashed its dividend in early 2022.

AT&T’s problems are mounting. Its huge debt load costs more than ever to serve its needs, given rising interest rates. The 5G rollouts were massively expensive and delivered only modest returns to date. And rising competition threatens to hurt pricing and reduce the firm’s cash flows.

Despite this, AT&T is a popular pick among dividend investors today. That’s a mistake. While AT&T is a blue chip stock based on its reputation, its falling cash flows and slumping dividends make this a stock worth avoiding today.

TriplePoint Venture Growth (TPVG)

TriplePoint Venture Growth (NYSE: TPVG) is a business development corporation (BDC) that primarily lends money to smaller growth-focused companies. Its largest lending categories are consumer products & services, e-commerce apparel, business applications and services, financial services and real estate services. Several of these industries are likely to face problems amid the current economic headwinds.

In its own words, TriplePoint’s lending solutions give it the “ability to grow faster, finance business expansion & extend runway — enabling companies to achieve more milestones and command a higher future valuation.” In theory, that gives companies a longer time period before issuing their initial public offering (IPO) or otherwise raising more capital. That’s great in bull markets.

However, I’d argue that with higher interest rates and the downturn in market sentiment, TriplePoint may see many of its companies fail to reach a successful IPO or SPAC exit. The market demand simply isn’t there like it was two years ago. That’s especially true in categories like real estate and unprofitable software companies right now.

TriplePoint looks highly alluring with its mid-single digit P/E ratio and 17.1% dividend yield. However, earnings only modestly cover the dividend today. Any unfavorable movements in interest rate spreads or rise in loan losses will likely lead to a dividend cut and a slumping stock price.

Best Buy (BBY)

Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) has done better than just about anyone would have reasonably expected. With the rise of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), it seemed inevitable that most electronics shopping would move online. In categories such as software, games, movies and music, it’s hard for physical stores to compete with the internet’s far larger catalog.

And yet, via its focus on service and customer experience, Best Buy has managed to stay relevant. The company survived the 2008 financial crisis and enjoyed a decade of resounding prosperity. Its fortunes perked up once again in 2021 as consumers bought TVs, laptops and other digital gear at a record pace as they hunkered down at home during the pandemic.

However, the digital boom has now ended, and we are seeing a double-digit decline across many electronics categories this year. However, you should be careful when picking dividend stocks. Not all income yields are created equal. In fact, in the case of these three dividend stocks to sell, trouble looms just over the horizon. It’s time to dump these three stocks before they cut their payouts and their share prices plunge.AT&T (T)Way back in 1993, AT&T (NYSE: T) traded for $15/share. And even that is less generous than it used to be, as AT&T slashed its dividend in early 2022.AT&T’s problems are mounting. Its huge debt load costs more than ever to serve its needs, given rising interest rates. The 5G rollouts were massively expensive and delivered only modest returns to date. And rising competition threatens to hurt pricing and reduce the firm’s cash flows.Despite this, AT&T is a popular pick among dividend investors today. That’s a mistake. While AT&T is a blue chip stock based on its reputation, its falling cash flows and slumping dividends make this a stock worth avoiding today.TriplePoint Venture Growth (TPVG)TriplePoint Venture Growth (NYSE: TPVG) is a business development corporation (BDC) that primarily lends money to smaller growth-focused companies. That’s especially true in categories like real estate and unprofitable software companies right now.TriplePoint looks highly alluring with its mid-single digit P/E ratio and 17.1% dividend yield. However, earnings only modestly cover the dividend today. Any unfavorable movements in interest rate spreads or rise in loan losses will likely lead to a dividend cut and a slumping stock price.Best Buy (BBY)Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) has done better than just about anyone would have reasonably expected. Meanwhile, e-commerce continues to be a major drag on sales and profit margins for physical electronics retailers.Best Buy has done an admirable job staying in business where others, like RadioShack, were unable to survive. However, given fallen consumer electronics spending, inflation and the continued e-commerce threat, I’m skeptical Best Buy will see its profits remain at their currently lofty levels. When a recession hits, don’t be surprised if Best Buy chops its 5.4% dividend yield to save some much-needed cash.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":267,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":191673388900480,"gmtCreate":1687803911209,"gmtModify":1687803915074,"author":{"id":"3577417214531914","authorId":"3577417214531914","name":"Ffs","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5dad5301abe9512c885ed73f42c19bed","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577417214531914","authorIdStr":"3577417214531914"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Still In this report, we'll pit Lucid Group, Inc. (LCID) and NIO Inc. (NIO) against each other - two of the most interesting EV players that combine strong brands and high-end technological capabilities. In this report, we'll take a deeper dive into the tech and product side and will look at individual risks for both companies. Overall, I do believe that NIO is the more attractive choice among these two at current prices.

Lucid And NIO In The EV Market

The global EV market has been growing rapidly, with EV sales likely coming in a little north of six million, which is roughly twice as high as during the previous year. Clearly, EVs are a huge growth sector in the global automobile market, although it should be noted that most vehicles sold around the world are still powered by internal combustion engines. Over the years, EV market share should continue to climb rapidly, but it is not looking like EVs will dominate ICE vehicles any time soon.

The market leaders in the EV space are Tesla and BYD (OTCPK:BYDDY), and, depending on how one counts plug-in hybrids, Volkswagen (OTCPK:VWAGY). NIO Inc. and Lucid Group, Inc. are not among the largest companies for now. NIO is selling around 11,000 vehicles a month right now, which translates into a ~130,000 annual sales pace. Sales have been growing quickly, however, which is why NIO will most likely sell more than 130,000 vehicles next year, as deliveries should continue to climb sequentially. Lucid is way smaller for now, in terms of deliveries, as the company has likely sold a couple of hundred vehicles this year. Next year, Lucid Group targets deliveries of around 20,000 vehicles - up by a lot versus 2021, but still a relatively small number compared to the deliveries NIO and many other peers will hit next year.

LCID Vs. NIO's Past Quarterly Performance

As noted above, NIO's sales performance was way stronger than that of Lucid over the last three months, but that was hardly a surprise as LCID just began delivering vehicles to customers. On a share price basis, however, Lucid fared better:

Data by YCharts

Over the last three months, LCID is up close to 50%, whereas NIO saw its shares drop by close to 20% over the same time frame. In NIO's case, macro worries about Chinese regulation played a role, whereas LCID benefitted a lot from growing enthusiasm for US-based EV players caused by Rivian's (RIVN) huge IPO success. On top of that, the start of deliveries also attracted new investors to Lucid's stock. If analysts are correct, NIO is the much better value today:

Data by YCharts

Shares are trading at less than half the consensus price target, which implies 100%+ upside over the next year, whereas LCID is trading almost perfectly in line with the current consensus price target - which implies no upside over the next year. NIO's underperformance over the last quarter thus seems to position the company well for a strong performance from the current level, whereas the same can't be said about Lucid.

Lucid Vs. NIO Key Metrics

Let's take a deeper look at the tech of the two companies, as well as at their branding, and their specific key risks. Both NIO and Lucid are active in the high-end segment of the EV industry, selling vehicles with ASPs well north of the average Tesla. NIO's ASP is around $70,000, and Lucid's ASP is even higher than that for now, as the company is selling the most expensive AirDreamversion first. Tesla, the current EV leader, has an ASP of around $50,000. Both NIO and Tesla are thus operating in a more luxurious, higher-end segment of the market compared to Tesla. How are these companies able to demand way higher ASPs than Tesla? There are several factors at play, including branding, but one of the most important factors is their great tech.

NIO's battery-swapping technology, for example, allows its customers to fully "recharge" in a couple of minutes, while most other EVs take way longer to fully charge. Lucid doesn't employ battery-swapping, but its racing-tested 900V technology allows for both a huge range as well as for fast charging speeds - Lucid's architecture allows customers to charge up to 300 miles worth of energy in just 20 minutes. The Tesla S, for reference, uses a ~400V architecture that allows customers to recharge 200 miles in 15 minutes. Clearly, both NIO's solution, as well as Lucid's solution, seem superior compared to what Tesla is offering.

NIO's and Lucid's tech also looks highly competitive when it comes to their respective batteries. The Lucid Air Dream has an EPA range of 520 miles, which should be sufficient for almost all use cases. NIO has a larger product portfolio compared to Lucid, but when we take a look at its top-end sedan, battery performance looks even better. The NIO ET7, with a 150kWh battery (smaller options are available, too), has a range of up to 1,000km, which equates to around 620 miles of range. Again, both NIO and Lucid perform well compared to Tesla - the flagship S Plaid has an EPA range of 350 miles. Thanks to its experience in developing and supplying racing engines for electric race cars, Lucid crafts an especially efficient engine:

Source: Lucid presentation

A smaller, more efficient engine results in lower resource usage and reduces the weight of the vehicle, all else equal. This does, in turn, lead to a longer range, and it also allows for better handling and driving performance, all else equal. Lucid is by far not the biggest EV player today, but its engineers have developed some of the most compelling products and solutions among all currently active EV players.

NIO puts a lot of focus on technologies that will eventually allow for autonomous driving and puts massive numbers of sensors and huge computing power in its vehicles today. The ET7 uses the following sensing units for that goal:

Source: NIO

With 33 sensors that use up to 8MP, NIO's sensing capabilities easily blow away those of Tesla. The Tesla Model 3, which is, according to CEO Musk, ready for full-self-driving, only uses 8 cameras with 1.2MP each. One of NIO's sensors in the ET7 thus has almost as much sensing performance as all of the cameras in the M3 combined - and NIO uses 32 additional sensors in its model. Clearly, NIO's offering is superior - and that obviously comes at a price, as NIO is not skimping when it comes to putting the best tech in its vehicles. This is also showcased by the massive processing power of the chips NIO uses in the ET7. The ET7 uses four NVIDIA (NVDA) Orin SoCs, each of which offers slightly more than 250 trillion operations per second, which makes for combined computing power of more than 1,000 TOPS - unheard of in any production vehicle. Using four SoCs at the same time also provides for the redundancy that is required for critical systems in a self-driving scenario. it should be noted that NIO's self-driving tech is not as excellent on the software side - yet. At least for now, peers such as XPeng (XPEV) seem to employ the stronger algorithms, but that is a problem that NIO can solve over the coming quarters and years, and integrating future software in its vehicles that come with top-notch hardware shouldn't be a very difficult task. Lucid's self-driving tech, even though it doesn't get a lot of recognition yet, is not looking bad at all, either. The DreamDrive suite utilizes 32 onboard sensors, almost on par with NIO's Aquila system (and 4x more sensors compared to the M3, which is allegedly L5 ready from a hardware perspective).

Strong tech alone doesn't make for an attractive vehicle, however, as design, manufacturing quality, etc. have to be considered as well. Luckily, both NIO and Lucid compete very well on that basis, although the data on Lucid is still limited due to the low sales numbers - not too many people have driven a Lucid Air yet, thus data about reliability, etc. is limited. NIO, however, has been selling thousands of vehicles a month for quite some time, and its users are very satisfied with the vehicles' quality. CnTechPost reports that J.D. Power has rated NIO the highest-quality EV company in China, ahead of Tesla. Lucid is not active in the country yet, but test drives by a wide range of auto journalists and magazines have generally resulted in very positive reviews. Both NIO and Lucid thus look strong from a design, quality, and tech perspective, with NIO putting more focus on customer-friendly items such as battery-swapping and driving assistance, whereas Lucid puts more focus on engine performance, battery tech, etc. Both avenues have their advantages, but I personally could see NIO benefit more from its easy-to-use, customer-friendly approach, as not too many people will buy an EV based on criteria such as the battery architecture. Still, Lucid's ability to develop high-performing vehicles should come in very handy in the highly competitive EV industry going forward.

With NIO, the main risk the market seems to worry about now is regulation/politics. I personally do not believe that regulation will be a huge risk for NIO. Chinese companies never were able to compete successfully in the ICE vehicle space, but with EV technologies bringing change to the entire global automobile industry, China saw its chance to become a global automobile powerhouse. Hurting NIO and other Chinese EV players would run contrary to those goals, which is why I believe that China is more interested in nurturing its own EV players, including NIO, instead of hurting them. Still, the market puts a discount on every Chinese company today, and that holds true for NIO as well - which might be a good thing for those seeking to buy into the company at a below-average valuation.

For Lucid, regulation doesn't seem like an important risk. Instead, the main risks here are the high valuation and the production ramp. As Tesla has shown, ramping up vehicle production is no easy task. The company oftentimes had to battle with delays and other issues, sometimes summarized as "Production Hell". The same could hold true for Lucid, which will have to ramp up production at a high speed in the coming months and quarters in order to meet its ambitious production goals. It's not a certainty that it will experience similar issues to other manufacturers, of course, but due to a lack of experience, this seems a considerable risk worth keeping an eye on. On top of that, LCID's high valuation could be a considerable risk - shares trade at around 30x next year's expected revenue, and there is no guarantee at all that those revenues will actually be generated.

Is Lucid Or NIO Stock The Better Buy?

Both NIO and Lucid have attractive products that seem highly competitive in the EV market that is seeing more and more entrants. I do believe that both companies will have operational success over the coming years, driven by strong tech, attractive brands, and compelling product quality. Operational growth does not necessarily result in share price growth, however, as valuations can be a major hurdle when one buys at a price that is too high.

In NIO's case, that does not seem like an overly large risk, as shares are inexpensive relative to how other EV players are valued - NIO trades at ~4x next year's expected revenue, which represents a clear discount compared to LCID, RIVN, TSLA, and so on. Lucid, on the other hand, is trading at a very premium valuation of 30x next year's sales.

I do believe that, based on its larger size, more established operations, better progress in ramping production, and due to its much more reasonable valuation, NIO is the better pick among these two today. The recent share price decline makes for an attractive entry point for those interested in owning this top-notch Chinese EV player.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Lucid Vs. Sales have been growing quickly, however, which is why NIO will most likely sell more than 130,000 vehicles next year, as deliveries should continue to climb sequentially. Lucid is way smaller for now, in terms of deliveries, as the company has likely sold a couple of hundred vehicles this year. Next year, Lucid Group targets deliveries of around 20,000 vehicles - up by a lot versus 2021, but still a relatively small number compared to the deliveries NIO and many other peers will hit next year.LCID Vs. NIO's Past Quarterly PerformanceAs noted above, NIO's sales performance was way stronger than that of Lucid over the last three months, but that was hardly a surprise as LCID just began delivering vehicles to customers. On a share price basis, however, Lucid fared better:Data by YChartsOver the last three months, LCID is up close to 50%, whereas NIO saw its shares drop by close to 20% over the same time frame. If analysts are correct, NIO is the much better value today:Data by YChartsShares are trading at less than half the consensus price target, which implies 100%+ upside over the next year, whereas LCID is trading almost perfectly in line with the current consensus price target - which implies no upside over the next year. NIO's underperformance over the last quarter thus seems to position the company well for a strong performance from the current level, whereas the same can't be said about Lucid.Lucid Vs. NIO Key MetricsLet's take a deeper look at the tech of the two companies, as well as at their branding, and their specific key risks. There are several factors at play, including branding, but one of the most important factors is their great tech.NIO's battery-swapping technology, for example, allows its customers to fully \"recharge\" in a couple of minutes, while most other EVs take way longer to fully charge. Clearly, both NIO's solution, as well as Lucid's solution, seem superior compared to what Tesla is offering.NIO's and Lucid's tech also looks highly competitive when it comes to their respective batteries. Thanks to its experience in developing and supplying racing engines for electric race cars, Lucid crafts an especially efficient engine:Source: Lucid presentationA smaller, more efficient engine results in lower resource usage and reduces the weight of the vehicle, all else equal. This does, in turn, lead to a longer range, and it also allows for better handling and driving performance, all else equal. Lucid is by far not the biggest EV player today, but its engineers have developed some of the most compelling products and solutions among all currently active EV players.NIO puts a lot of focus on technologies that will eventually allow for autonomous driving and puts massive numbers of sensors and huge computing power in its vehicles today. The ET7 uses the following sensing units for that goal:Source: NIOWith 33 sensors that use up to 8MP, NIO's sensing capabilities easily blow away those of Tesla. The DreamDrive suite utilizes 32 onboard sensors, almost on par with NIO's Aquila system (and 4x more sensors compared to the M3, which is allegedly L5 ready from a hardware perspective).Strong tech alone doesn't make for an attractive vehicle, however, as design, manufacturing quality, etc. have to be considered as well. The company oftentimes had to battle with delays and other issues, sometimes summarized as \"Production Hell\". Is Lucid Or NIO Stock The Better Buy?Both NIO and Lucid have attractive products that seem highly competitive in the EV market that is seeing more and more entrants. I do believe that both companies will have operational success over the coming years, driven by strong tech, attractive brands, and compelling product quality. Operational growth does not necessarily result in share price growth, however, as valuations can be a major hurdle when one buys at a price that is too high.In NIO's case, that does not seem like an overly large risk, as shares are inexpensive relative to how other EV players are valued - NIO trades at ~4x next year's expected revenue, which represents a clear discount compared to LCID, RIVN, TSLA, and so on. Lucid, on the other hand, is trading at a very premium valuation of 30x next year's sales.I do believe that, based on its larger size, more established operations, better progress in ramping production, and due to its much more reasonable valuation, NIO is the better pick among these two today. The recent share price decline makes for an attractive entry point for those interested in owning this top-notch Chinese EV player.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":622,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9948151232,"gmtCreate":1680654611926,"gmtModify":1680654615430,"author":{"id":"3577417214531914","authorId":"3577417214531914","name":"Ffs","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5dad5301abe9512c885ed73f42c19bed","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577417214531914","authorIdStr":"3577417214531914"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"How to get 1 share any tutorial? Fed chief Jerome Powell signaled "faster" rate hikes ahead, while SVB Financial crashed and ultimately failed, triggering a bank stock sell-off. Job growth was hot again, but wage growth came in below views while unemployment jumped. Tesla tumbled amid new price cuts and regulatory probes.

Stock Market Suffers Big Losses

The stock market rally moved to uptrend under pressure as the major indexes suffered heavy losses. Treasury yields tumbled on the bank woes. Gold rebounded as the dollar weakened.

Powell Ready For Faster Rate Hikes

For a couple of days midweek, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell had Wall Street convinced that a half-point rate hike on March 22 was nearly a done deal. Powell told the Senate Banking Committee that policymakers were "prepared to increase the pace of rate hikes" if the data warrants. He noted "inflationary pressures are running higher than expected," adding that he sees "little sign of disinflation" in prices for core services, which account for half of all spending.

However, odds of a half-point hike at the coming meeting surged above 80%, but fell back to around 50-50 on Friday amid banking concerns.

Powell has been clear that the Fed should err on the side of hiking too much to fight inflation. But that risk is higher amid the SVB Financial collapse.

February Jobs Report Mixed

Nonfarm payrolls rose by 311,000, much higher than expected. But the average hourly wage rose a tame 0.2%, which means the annualized pace of wage growth over the past three months is just 3.6%. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate unexpectedly rose to 3.6% from 3.4%. Other indications of softness included a slightly shorter workweek and a narrower breadth of hiring, meaning fewer industries are expanding payrolls. Other data in the past week hinted at a less-robust labor market.

SVB Financial Fails, Slamming Banks

SVB Financial (SIVB) and Silvergate Capital (SI) sent shock waves through the banking, venture capital and crypto sectors this week after making distressing financial announcements. The FDIC said Friday that SVB Financial had failed, with regulators shutting down Silicon Valley Bank but protecting insured deposits. Late Wednesday, SVB, which has a lot of links to venture capital and tech startups, sought an emergency capital raise amid balance sheet woes. Shares crashed Thursday, sending the entire banking sector lower, but especially West Coast names. Some banking giants bounced back Friday.

Silvergate Capital announced Wednesday night it will shut down operations and liquidate its subsidiary Silvergate Bank, following a long deterioration in the business amid crypto woes. Last week, Silvergate delayed quarterly earnings results so it could include greater-than-expected losses and allow accountants to review unrecorded adjustments. SI stock plunged, extending a meltdown since late 2021.

Tesla Falls On New Cuts, Probes

Tesla cut U.S. Model S prices by $5,000 and Model X prices by $10,000, a few days after cutting European Model 3 and Y inventory prices by 6%. Those follow sweeping global price cuts in early January. Tesla's China EV registrations picked up for a second straight week, but Q1 local sales are on track to lag Q4's pace. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration this week also announced an investigation into Tesla Model Y vehicles after reports that steering wheels can come off, due to a missing bolt. NHTSA also announced a special probe of a fatal Model S crash into a parked fire truck earlier this month. The agency is probing more than a dozen Tesla crashes into stationary emergency vehicles involving Autopilot or FSD.

Tesla stock fell sharply for the week, but found support Friday at the 10-week line.

Oracle, MongoDB Fall In Stock Market On Results

Oracle earnings rose 8% per share in fiscal Q3, topping views, while revenue slightly beat with an 18% rise. Cloud-related software sales boomed, but did miss some estimates. Oracle stock fell. Another database company, MongoDB (MDB), soundly beat fiscal Q4 results, but guided Q1 revenue lower. Shares fell sharply.

News In Brief

CrowdStrike (CRWD) said Q4 earnings rose 57% while revenue, including acquisitions, jumped 48% to $637.4 million. Both topped estimates. The cybersecurity firm also guided higher for fiscal Q1 revenue.

Ciena (CIEN) reported fiscal Q1 EPS grew 36%, crushing views for a decline. Revenue rose 25% to $1.056 billion, also beating. Ciena forecast full-year revenue growth of 20%-22%, up from its earlier outlook for 17% growth.

The Justice Department sued to block JetBlue (JBLU) from buying ultra-low-cost Spirit Airlines (SAVE) for $3.8 billion, saying it would result in higher fares.

BJ's Wholesale Club (BJ) topped fourth-quarter estimates, with EPS growth picking up to 25% and revenue 13% higher as inflation-weary shoppers hunted for value. BJ stock gapped up.

General Electric (GE) gave a strong long-term outlook for its aviation and energy businesses, set to emerge as independent, publicly traded companies in early 2024. GE stock soared near a five-year high.

Trip.com (TCOM), a Shanghai-based online travel giant, soundly beat fourth-quarter estimates on the top and bottom lines, fueled by the easing of China's Covid restrictions. But TCOM stock tumbled from near 52-week highs.

JD.com (JD) beat fourth-quarter earnings expectations despite some weakness in consumer spending due to Covid-19 restrictions, which were lifted in December. EPS doubled while revenue fell 1% in dollar terms. Shares plunged, extending a big retreat from early January.

Dexcom (DXCM) tumbled Monday after the Food and Drug Administration cleared rival Abbott Laboratories to pair its glucose monitor with automated insulin delivery systems.

Merck (MRK) said its experimental treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension improved the distance patients could walk for six minutes by 40.8 meters. The Dow drug giant also said its cholesterol treatment led to a 41%-61% reduction in LDL levels after eight weeks. Shares jumped Monday but later slashed gains.

Ulta Beauty (ULTA) reported better-than-expected Q4 earnings and sales. The beauty products retailer guided higher on EPS but lower on same-store sales.

Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS) topped fourth-quarter forecasts Tuesday with a smaller-than-expected 20% earnings decline and 7.3% revenue growth that topped views. The athletic gear and apparel retailer guided 2023 earnings well above views.
