Aurora Cannabis (NASDAQ:ACB) stock has done poorly. Its share price has fallen by 26% over the past year -- undoubtedly frustrating its shareholders -- while the sector benchmark Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences ETF is up by more than 46% over the same period.
\n
And Aurora's shares may not be done declining. Analysts on Wall Street are expecting the pot stock to continue to fall after another uninspiring quarter.
\n
\n
Analysts see more than 30% downside
\n
Since May, when Aurora released its earnings report for the first three months of 2021 (its fiscal third quarter), many analysts have been downgrading the stock and cutting their price targets. Aurora reported a year-over-year sales decline of 25% to just 55 million Canadian dollars for fiscal Q3, so it has been difficult to find much reason for bullishness. And while the company is focused on improving its bottom line, it booked an an adjusted EBITDA loss of CA$24 million -- even steeper than the loss of CA$16.8 million it took in fiscal Q2 2021.
\n
Here are some of the price targets the analysts covering Aurora have set:
\n
\n
CIBC: CA$9
\n
BMO Capital Markets: CA$8
\n
Canaccord Genuity: CA$7
\n
Desjardin: CA$8
\n
Cantor Fitzgerald: CA$9
\n
\n
Last week, the stock closed at $9.82 on the NASDAQ and CA$11.94 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The five price targets above average out to CA$8.20, suggesting that Aurora's stock could drop by another 31% over the next year. As bearish a forecast as that may be, it still wouldn't put the share price anywhere near the lows it hit in October 2020 when it fell below $4 on the NASDAQ.
\n
What will make or break the stock this year?
\n
Two factors will determine where Aurora Cannabis goes in 2021 -- its top and bottom lines. The challenges the company has faced in moving the needle to bolster its profits and grow sales have dragged the stock down. Better numbers would help the stock gain some traction, and also lessen the need for management to continually issue new shares to raise cash.
\n
In the past 12 months, Aurora Cannabis burned through CA$280 million for its operating activities, and raised CA$714 million through stock offerings. Unless the company can stop those trends, it's likely that its share price will descend to the lows that many analysts are projecting.
\n
Is Aurora Cannabis a good contrarian buy?
\n
Aurora has been a chronic underperformer, and as tempting as it might be to roll the dice on the stock and bet that the company will turn things around, that would be a dangerous tactic. Many cannabis companies have been putting up adjusted EBITDA profits of late, including Sundial Growers and HEXO. Aurora isn't generating the impressive growth that multistate operators in the U.S. are posting, and now even companies in Canada are doing better and achieving stronger bottom lines. Until and unless the business improves, there's little reason to expect the stock will rally.
\n
However, it's easy to see why risk-takers might be willing to gamble on the stock. Ahead of its fiscal second-quarter report (for the period that ended Dec. 31), traders bid the stock upward. When Aurora delivered those numbers on Feb. 11, they weren't abysmal, and the company's adjusted EBITDA was moving in the right direction. As a result, the stock spiked even higher to a peak of nearly $19. All of that bullishness faded within days, but it's a reminder of just how quickly some positivity can send Aurora's share price soaring.
\n
Unless you're the gambling type, I would stay away from Aurora's stock -- it just isn't worth the risk. While the company could surprise investors with positive results next quarter, tougher times are still likely ahead for it and other Canadian cannabis producers.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Here's How Low Analysts Think Aurora Cannabis Can Go
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nHere's How Low Analysts Think Aurora Cannabis Can Go\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-16 14:35 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Even as the overall cannabis industry has been getting bigger and earning more enthusiasm from investors, Canadian marijuana company Aurora Cannabis (NASDAQ:ACB) stock has done poorly. It has been constantly increasing its deliveries every quarter, its revenues have been growing at a triple-digit rate in recent years, and despite competing in the luxurious SUV segment, its cars are more affordable in comparison to the cars of its peers such as Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA). While NIO's stock has depreciated last month, there's every reason to believe that its growth story is far from over, as the Chinese EV market will continue to aggressively expand in the upcoming years and the penetration of electric vehicles on its roads is only going to increase. Considering this, the company has all the chances to create additional shareholder value in the long run.
\n
Dominating the Chinese Market
\n
Founded in 2014, NIO is an electric vehicle manufacturer that's headquartered in Shanghai, China. The company mostly specializes in the development of luxurious electric SUVs and just likeXPeng(XPEV), it manufactures and sells its cars online and through its showrooms across China. In addition, NIO also offers various energy-related solutions such as home charging stations, mobile charging services, and others to its customers.
\n
In recent years, the company has been aggressively growing, as the deliveries of its cars have been steadily increasing quarter after quarter, which led to the appreciation of its stock. However, due to the overall market selloff last month, NIO's stock along with stocks of other EV manufacturers such as XPeng, Tesla, and Li Auto (LI) evaporated most of its YTD gains and are currently underperforming the S&P 500 Index.
\n

\n
Chart: Seeking Alpha
\n
Despite this, there's every reason to believe that NIO's stock will recover, as the company's successful performance in Q1 shows that its growth story is far from over. InQ1alone NIO beat the Street expectations by $160 million and generated $1.22 billion in revenues, which represents an increase of 481.8% Y/Y. In addition, the company's gross profit was $237.3 million, while its vehicle margin was 21.2% against -7.4% a year ago. During the period, NIO has also improved its bottom-line performance, as its net loss was only $68.8 million, and despite the chip shortages and the Chinese New Year its deliveries have also increased by 422.7% Y/Y and by 15.6% Q/Q to 20,060.
\n
One of the best things about NIO is that it already has a dominant position in the Chinese EV industry and it also has a solid balance sheet, as its cash reserves at the end of Q1stoodat $7.2 billion, while it had only $1.59 billion in long-term debt. As a result, it can easily reinvest its resources back into the business to drive growth and establish an even stronger foothold in its home market without worrying too much about the current losses.
\n
On top of that, while some might say that by trading at a price-to-salesratioof ~13x NIO is overvalued, the reality is that its momentum is not slowing down and there's every reason to believe that the growth story is far from over. Considering that even at the market cap of ~$70 billion NIO still trades below the Streetconsensusprice of $59.24 per share, it's safe to assume that the upside is still there, especially since the current forecasts suggest that the company will increase its revenues from $2.49 billion in FY20 to $8.81 billion in FY22.
\n

\n
Source: Seeking Alpha
\n
At this stage, the major competitor of NIO's flagship SUVES8is Tesla's Model X. However, there are several reasons to believe that the ES8 is a more attractive car in comparison to the Model X, and as a result, NIO has all the opportunities to outsell its competitor in China in the long run. First of all, the ES8 has more legroom and headroom than the Model X, it also has a luxurious interior, and it comes with three different battery packages that could last from 415 kilometers to 580 kilometers on a single charge.
\n
All of the ES8 SUVs include a proprietary operating system, have advanced navigation software, and most importantly cost ~$70,000 per vehicle in China, which is below the cost of Tesla's Model X, which comes at a price tag of ~$110,000 per vehicle in the region. We believe that this pricing advantage will undoubtedly help NIO to outsell Tesla in the SUV segment, especially since its cars now could bepurchasedat a discount thanks to the new Chinese subsidy program.
\n
Another uniqueness of NIO is its battery as a service business model, which allows its customers to swap their batteries in various swapping stations around China if they don't want to charge their cars or are in a hurry. After recently deploying the second version of its Power Swap stations, the swapping of batteries is now done in under three minutes, which is the same as refueling a traditional ICE car, and a single station now could perform up to 312 battery swaps in a single day. NIO now has a network of charging stations across all of China and if the solid-state batteries won't be available by the end of the decade at scale, then the idea of swapping batteries on the go will remain a viable business model in the long run.
\n
Going forward, NIO plans to accelerate its deliveries this month in order to meet its Q2 goal of delivering 21,000 to 22,000 vehicles, which represents a growth of 103% Y/Y to 113% Y/Y and plans to generate $1.24 to $1.29 billion in revenues during the period. Despite the semiconductor shortages, NIO already managed to increase its deliveries in April and May to 7,102 vehicles and 6,711 vehicles, respectively, which represents a growth of 125% Y/Y and 95.3% Y/Y, respectively. On top of that, NIO is also on track to deliver 90,000 to 100,000 vehicles this year.
\n
Considering this, there's every reason to believe that NIO will continue to be a dominant player in the Chinese EV market and a leader of the luxury EV segment in the region. While the company doesn't have an infrastructure outside China, we don't think that's a downside at all since China is the biggest EV market in the world that's constantly growing and NIO has better chances of creating shareholder value there than abroad. For that reason, we believe that NIO's growth story is far from over and it's likely that as long as its deliveries increase with every quarter, its stock will be rising in value in the long run.
","source":"seekingalpha","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
NIO: Buy This Chinese EV Manufacturer While It's Still Cheap
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNIO: Buy This Chinese EV Manufacturer While It's Still Cheap\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-11 21:11 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nNIO is a dominant EV manufacturer in the electric SUV segment in China.\nDespite competing in the luxurious SUV segment, its cars are more affordable in comparison to the cars of its peers ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"NIO":"蔚来"},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4434085-nio-buy-this-chinese-ev-manufacturer-while-its-still-cheap","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/5a36db9d73b4222bc376d24ccc48c8a4","article_id":"1146386859","content_text":"Summary\n\nNIO is a dominant EV manufacturer in the electric SUV segment in China.\nDespite competing in the luxurious SUV segment, its cars are more affordable in comparison to the cars of its peers such as Tesla.\nAs the Chinese EV market will continue to aggressively expand in the upcoming years, we believe that NIO has all the chances to create additional shareholder value in the future.\n\nNIO(NYSE:NIO)is a dominant EV manufacturer in the electric SUV segment in China. Considering this, the company has all the chances to create additional shareholder value in the long run.\nDominating the Chinese Market\nFounded in 2014, NIO is an electric vehicle manufacturer that's headquartered in Shanghai, China. The company mostly specializes in the development of luxurious electric SUVs and just likeXPeng(XPEV), it manufactures and sells its cars online and through its showrooms across China. In addition, NIO also offers various energy-related solutions such as home charging stations, mobile charging services, and others to its customers.\nIn recent years, the company has been aggressively growing, as the deliveries of its cars have been steadily increasing quarter after quarter, which led to the appreciation of its stock. However, due to the overall market selloff last month, NIO's stock along with stocks of other EV manufacturers such as XPeng, Tesla, and Li Auto (LI) evaporated most of its YTD gains and are currently underperforming the S&P 500 Index.\n\nChart: Seeking Alpha\nDespite this, there's every reason to believe that NIO's stock will recover, as the company's successful performance in Q1 shows that its growth story is far from over. During the period, NIO has also improved its bottom-line performance, as its net loss was only $68.8 million, and despite the chip shortages and the Chinese New Year its deliveries have also increased by 422.7% Y/Y and by 15.6% Q/Q to 20,060.\nOne of the best things about NIO is that it already has a dominant position in the Chinese EV industry and it also has a solid balance sheet, as its cash reserves at the end of Q1stoodat $7.2 billion, while it had only $1.59 billion in long-term debt. As a result, it can easily reinvest its resources back into the business to drive growth and establish an even stronger foothold in its home market without worrying too much about the current losses.\nOn top of that, while some might say that by trading at a price-to-salesratioof ~13x NIO is overvalued, the reality is that its momentum is not slowing down and there's every reason to believe that the growth story is far from over. Considering that even at the market cap of ~$70 billion NIO still trades below the Streetconsensusprice of $59.24 per share, it's safe to assume that the upside is still there, especially since the current forecasts suggest that the company will increase its revenues from $2.49 billion in FY20 to $8.81 billion in FY22.\n\nSource: Seeking Alpha\nAt this stage, the major competitor of NIO's flagship SUVES8is Tesla's Model X. SLYV rallied 32% this year through Thursday's close.
\n
That more than doubles the return of its growth stock counterpart, SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Growth (SLYG), which is up 15%. The index SLYG tracks includes stocks with the strongest growth traits based on sales growth, earnings change to price and momentum.
\n
Back to SLYV, financials accounted for the biggest sector weight at 24% of assets. Industrials weighed in at about 17%, consumer discretionary 15% and real estate 10%. Information technology was next at 8% and materials, energy and health care, 6% each. Smaller positions in consumer staples, utilities and communication services made up the rest.
\n
SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Value is in IBD's ETF Leaders, but SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Growth is not.
\n
GameStop Stock Leads
\n
GameStop(GME),Macy's(M),PDC Energy(PDCE),Resideo Technologies(REZI) andBankUnited(BKU) were the top five holdings as of Wednesday.
\n
Pacific Premier Bancorp(PPBI),Bed Bath & Beyond(BBBY),Ameris Bancorp(ABCB),First Hawaiian(FHB) andInsight Enterprises(NSIT) rounded out the top 10.
\n
GameStop has undergone wide swings this year. It rocketed about 2,500% early this year amid theshort-squeeze rallyfueled by the Reddit/WallStreetBets crowd.GME stockthen crashed 92% from a Jan. 28 high to its mid-February low. That was followed by an 805% surge the next three weeks, and a 66% drop over the next two weeks.
\n
Action had been relatively subdued since, until Thursday's 27% dive. Even after that, GameStop stock was up 1,070% year to date through Thursday's close.
\n
Could GME be inflating SLYV's performance? Certainly, given its quadruple-digit gain. But a look at SLYG's portfolio is interesting. GameStop stock is also the top holding in the growth stock ETF, though the rest of the top 10 differ vastly.
\n
Second Meme Stock In Top 10
\n
PDC Energy, up 130%, saw the next biggest gain in the top 10. The Colorado-based oil and gas explorer has a 97Relative Strength Rating, which mean it's in the top 3% of all stocks. Its relative strength line is at a 52-week high, a bullish sign.
\n
Bed Bath & Beyond, another meme stock, is up 78% this year. Shares surged more than 200% in January, amid a spate of wild double-digit swings. BBBY stock then gave back the bulk of its gains.
\n
But the home goods retailer appears to be back on the radar of the WallStreetBets discussion group. On June 2, Bed Bath & Beyond soared 62% before diving 28% the next session.
\n
The rest of the top 10 stocks have also outperformed the broader market. SLYV rallied 32% this year through Thursday's close.\nThat more than doubles the return of its growth stock counterpart, SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Growth (SLYG), which is up 15%. The index SLYG tracks includes stocks with the strongest growth traits based on sales growth, earnings change to price and momentum.\nBack to SLYV, financials accounted for the biggest sector weight at 24% of assets. Industrials weighed in at about 17%, consumer discretionary 15% and real estate 10%. Information technology was next at 8% and materials, energy and health care, 6% each. Smaller positions in consumer staples, utilities and communication services made up the rest.\nSPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Value is in IBD's ETF Leaders, but SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Growth is not.\nGameStop Stock Leads\nGameStop(GME),Macy's(M),PDC Energy(PDCE),Resideo Technologies(REZI) andBankUnited(BKU) were the top five holdings as of Wednesday.\nPacific Premier Bancorp(PPBI),Bed Bath & Beyond(BBBY),Ameris Bancorp(ABCB),First Hawaiian(FHB) andInsight Enterprises(NSIT) rounded out the top 10.\nGameStop has undergone wide swings this year. It rocketed about 2,500% early this year amid theshort-squeeze rallyfueled by the Reddit/WallStreetBets crowd.GME stockthen crashed 92% from a Jan. 28 high to its mid-February low. That was followed by an 805% surge the next three weeks, and a 66% drop over the next two weeks.\nAction had been relatively subdued since, until Thursday's 27% dive. Even after that, GameStop stock was up 1,070% year to date through Thursday's close.\nCould GME be inflating SLYV's performance? Certainly, given its quadruple-digit gain. But a look at SLYG's portfolio is interesting. GameStop stock is also the top holding in the growth stock ETF, though the rest of the top 10 differ vastly.\nSecond Meme Stock In Top 10\nPDC Energy, up 130%, saw the next biggest gain in the top 10. The Colorado-based oil and gas explorer has a 97Relative Strength Rating, which mean it's in the top 3% of all stocks. Its relative strength line is at a 52-week high, a bullish sign.\nBed Bath & Beyond, another meme stock, is up 78% this year. Shares surged more than 200% in January, amid a spate of wild double-digit swings. BBBY stock then gave back the bulk of its gains.\nBut the home goods retailer appears to be back on the radar of the WallStreetBets discussion group. On June 2, Bed Bath & Beyond soared 62% before diving 28% the next session.\nThe rest of the top 10 stocks have also outperformed the broader market. Macy's is up 68% year to date, while Resideo, Pacific Premier and Ameris have risen more than 40% each. The lowest gainer, bank holding company First Hawaiian, has advanced 20%. Now investors are taking a second look at the sector.
\n
With biotech having trailed the broader market for the past three months and chock full of companies that have been the focus of short sellers, it was catnip for the Reddit crowd. Indeed, the price action wrought havoc across the health-care sector after shorts lost over $465 million on Clover Health Investments Corp. in a single day as the stock nearly doubled.
\n
The moves weren’t just about amateur traders or punishing the shorts. Specialists who live and breathe biotech received two of three critical updates that have been hailed as the impetus for a broad return of investor interest. That includes approval from the Food and Drug Administration of an Alzheimer’s disease drug from Biogen Inc.
\n
“One of the clouds overhanging the sector went away this week, it’s a very good sign,” Brad Loncar, chief executive officer of Loncar Investments, said of the FDA decision.
\n
Monday’s decision by the FDA to approve Aduhelm, the first new medicine for the disease in decades, came despite mixed clinical trials, stunning analysts and buoying the sector. More than 15 million shares in the $11 billion iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (IBB) changed hands, the highest daily level since June 2017. The index ended the week up 6%.
\n
It wasn’t all good news for these drugmakers. Aduhelm’s $56,000 a year price tag and a setback for Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. tempered the rally. The cost of the Biogen drug renewed concern about a regulatory clampdown on pricing, while Vertex announced that it had halted development of a liver disease treatment that the company said was unlikely to have a clinical benefit for patients. Shares of the drug developer plunged 11% on Friday and it’s the worst performer among large-cap biotechs, falling 18% so far this year.
\n
There’s one more key readout biotech investors are waiting on: results from a trial in major depression from Biogen and its partner Sage Therapeutics Inc. Now investors are taking a second look at the sector.\nWith biotech having trailed the broader market for the past three months and chock full of companies that have been the focus of short sellers, it was catnip for the Reddit crowd. Indeed, the price action wrought havoc across the health-care sector after shorts lost over $465 million on Clover Health Investments Corp. in a single day as the stock nearly doubled.\nThe moves weren’t just about amateur traders or punishing the shorts. Specialists who live and breathe biotech received two of three critical updates that have been hailed as the impetus for a broad return of investor interest. That includes approval from the Food and Drug Administration of an Alzheimer’s disease drug from Biogen Inc.\n“One of the clouds overhanging the sector went away this week, it’s a very good sign,” Brad Loncar, chief executive officer of Loncar Investments, said of the FDA decision.\nMonday’s decision by the FDA to approve Aduhelm, the first new medicine for the disease in decades, came despite mixed clinical trials, stunning analysts and buoying the sector. More than 15 million shares in the $11 billion iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (IBB) changed hands, the highest daily level since June 2017. The index ended the week up 6%.\nIt wasn’t all good news for these drugmakers. Shares of the drug developer plunged 11% on Friday and it’s the worst performer among large-cap biotechs, falling 18% so far this year.\nThere’s one more key readout biotech investors are waiting on: results from a trial in major depression from Biogen and its partner Sage Therapeutics Inc. With a win for Biogen and a loss for Vertex, the Biogen-Sage results could very well determine which direction biotech goes next, according to RBC analyst Brian Abrahams. The data are expected by the end of June.\nA recent Goldman Sachs survey of 75 investors at the bank’s health-care conference highlights the ongoing uncertainty, with 47% saying the sector would outperform over the second half of the year while the rest were evenly split between expecting health stocks to underperform or move in-line with the broader market.\nM&A Hopes\nVertex’s recent failure also came with a silver lining: the potential for a deal to bolster its pipeline. “Management has signaled a new openness to later-stage deals, and the shelving of VX-864 may now force its hand,” Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Marc Engelsgjerd wrote in a note.\nThe pace of deals in the first half can determine the direction of biotechs for the rest of 2021, with years that start off with five or more deals over $500 million usually driving the outperformance of nearly 4% for the Nasdaq Biotech index, according to JPMorgan’s analysis.\nAs biotech specialists weighed the catalysts for further gains, an 86% jump for Chamath Palihapitiya-backed health insurer Clover drove interest toward once high-flying biotechs with highly shorted floats and mediocre analyst ratings. Inovio Pharmaceuticals Inc., which recently lost U.S. government funding for its Covid shot, and Clovis Oncology Inc., a fallen former M&A target with a disappointing cancer drug, popped this week as day traders targeted short-squeeze candidates.\nRetail traders have also been driving triple-digit and even quadruple-digit gains in obscure biotech names like Ocugen Inc., a drug developer with plans to bring a Covid-19 vaccine to the U.S., and Cassava Sciences Inc., a 20-year old biotech whose main product isn’t yet in the final stages of testing.\nLoncar at least is unfazed by biotechs joining the meme parade. “Professionals understand what the true intrinsic value of a biotech is,” he said in an interview. “Unlike GameStop or AMC, a biotech either has good science or it doesn’t.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":710,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":182298020,"gmtCreate":1623574765060,"gmtModify":1704206495217,"author":{"id":"3578285986671198","authorId":"3578285986671198","name":"Richkiddos","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1a7d0263da74831b40287120cbaf77a2","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578285986671198","authorIdStr":"3578285986671198"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/182298020","repostId":"1102090194","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1102090194","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1623419256,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1102090194?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-11 21:47","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Cruise line stocks fell as Two Guests Test Positive for COVID-19","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1102090194","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"(June 11) Cruise line stocks fell as two guests on Royal Caribbean's Celebrity Millennium ship teste","content":"
(June 11) Cruise line stocks fell as two guests on Royal Caribbean's Celebrity Millennium ship tested positive for COVID-19.
\n
Airline stocks rose in morning trading.
\n

\n
\n The duo were on a trip that began in St. Maarten aboard Royal Caribbean's Celebrity Millennium ship.

However, there are several reasons to believe that the ES8 is a more attractive car in comparison to the Model X, and as a result, NIO has all the opportunities to outsell its competitor in China in the long run. First of all, the ES8 has more legroom and headroom than the Model X, it also has a luxurious interior, and it comes with three different battery packages that could last from 415 kilometers to 580 kilometers on a single charge.\nAll of the ES8 SUVs include a proprietary operating system, have advanced navigation software, and most importantly cost ~$70,000 per vehicle in China, which is below the cost of Tesla's Model X, which comes at a price tag of ~$110,000 per vehicle in the region. We believe that this pricing advantage will undoubtedly help NIO to outsell Tesla in the SUV segment, especially since its cars now could bepurchasedat a discount thanks to the new Chinese subsidy program.\nAnother uniqueness of NIO is its battery as a service business model, which allows its customers to swap their batteries in various swapping stations around China if they don't want to charge their cars or are in a hurry. After recently deploying the second version of its Power Swap stations, the swapping of batteries is now done in under three minutes, which is the same as refueling a traditional ICE car, and a single station now could perform up to 312 battery swaps in a single day. NIO now has a network of charging stations across all of China and if the solid-state batteries won't be available by the end of the decade at scale, then the idea of swapping batteries on the go will remain a viable business model in the long run.\nGoing forward, NIO plans to accelerate its deliveries this month in order to meet its Q2 goal of delivering 21,000 to 22,000 vehicles, which represents a growth of 103% Y/Y to 113% Y/Y and plans to generate $1.24 to $1.29 billion in revenues during the period. Despite the semiconductor shortages, NIO already managed to increase its deliveries in April and May to 7,102 vehicles and 6,711 vehicles, respectively, which represents a growth of 125% Y/Y and 95.3% Y/Y, respectively. On top of that, NIO is also on track to deliver 90,000 to 100,000 vehicles this year.\nConsidering this, there's every reason to believe that NIO will continue to be a dominant player in the Chinese EV market and a leader of the luxury EV segment in the region. While the company doesn't have an infrastructure outside China, we don't think that's a downside at all since China is the biggest EV market in the world that's constantly growing and NIO has better chances of creating shareholder value there than abroad. For that reason, we believe that NIO's growth story is far from over and it's likely that as long as its deliveries increase with every quarter, its stock will be rising in value in the long run.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":295,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":182298325,"gmtCreate":1623574783767,"gmtModify":1704206495546,"author":{"id":"3578285986671198","authorId":"3578285986671198","name":"Richkiddos","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1a7d0263da74831b40287120cbaf77a2","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578285986671198","authorIdStr":"3578285986671198"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/182298325","repostId":"1158585683","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1158585683","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1623418302,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1158585683?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-11 21:31","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Dow rises 80 points, S&P 500 adds to a record as tech shares gain","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1158585683","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"(June 11) U.S. stocks rose on Friday with the S&P 500 adding to its new record, as Wall Street aims ","content":"
(June 11) U.S. stocks rose on Friday with the S&P 500 adding to its new record, as Wall Street aims to wrap up the week on a high note.
\n
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 100 points while S&P 500 added 0.2% after closing at a record in the previous session. The S&P 500 held a 13% gain through Thursday's close.\nSLYV remains in potential buy range from an 87.29entryof acup with handle, according toMarketSmithchart analysis.
