He bought his first stock in the early 1940s at age 11 as the S&P 500 was on its way to a 35% dip that bottomed in 1942. Since then, he's managed through 12 more bear markets not including this one.Despite those downturns, Buffett has managed to create billions in value for himself and the shareholders of the company he runs, Berkshire Hathaway. If any investor is qualified to share wisdom on investing in bear markets, it's Buffett. So it makes sense to lean on his expertise to get through this tough climate with your wealth intact, right? To get you started, here are four of Buffett's famous rules for investing in a bear market.1. Buy quality merchandise on sale\"Whether we're talking about socks or stocks, I like buying quality merchandise when it is marked down.\"Buffett invests in high-quality businesses -- companies with a proven ability to create shareholder value through all economic climates. In his view, bear markets provide opportunities to buy these quality stocks at lower prices. As an example, Buffett's response earlier this year to the tech stock sell-off was to buy more of his favorite technology company, Apple. Although Apple already comprised more than 40% of Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio, Buffett bought another 3.78 million shares. You can mimic his strategy by identifying stocks you love for their long-term prospects. If your budget allows, increase your investing activity and pad your share counts while prices remain low.2. Hold forever\"Our favorite holding period is forever.\"When you buy stocks you'd like to hold forever, bear markets become far less stressful. Since your plan is to hold for the long run, you don't have to do anything when the market goes sideways. No reshuffling your portfolio and no guessing when share prices will bottom out. Your only job is to wait.3. Stay calm\"The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.\"It's normal and useful to second-guess your \"hold forever\" plan when circumstances change. Certainly, there will be times when you should drop a stock you thought was a keeper. The distinction you must make is whether circumstances have changed permanently or temporarily. And that's easier to do when you can analyze what's happening calmly and rationally. If you let your emotions take over, they can convince you to scrap your plan, cut your losses, or take some other dramatic action that's sure to dampen your long-term returns.4. Keep your distanceBuffett said this when asked what advice he had for investors in tough markets:\"I would tell them: Don't watch the market too closely.\"Let's say you're confident that your \"hold forever\" stocks can withstand a temporary bear market. And for that reason, you're not going to react to falling share prices. In that scenario, what's the benefit of tracking every bump along the way? There isn't one. It's OK to keep some distance from financial headlines when the market is going crazy. Consider it a survival strategy that helps you stay calm and stick to your investing plan.Buy or do nothingWhen a bear market sets in, you'll see Buffett mostly buy or hold. If you're questioning whether those are the right moves for your portfolio, remember this: Buffett is worth about $95 billion, and he has invested through more bear markets than almost anyone. His tactics can help you emerge from this bear market stronger and wealthier than ever.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"BRK.B":0.9,"BRK.A":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2674,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9059915790,"gmtCreate":1654292057310,"gmtModify":1676535424442,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Albright","listText":"Albright","text":"Albright","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9059915790","repostId":"1183868039","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1183868039","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1654263837,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1183868039?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-03 21:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"EV Stocks Tumbled in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1183868039","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"EV stocks tumbled in morning trading. Nintendo sold more Switch consoles, and millions of cooped up gamers flocked to the casual online world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons to socialize with other people. However, both companies experienced decelerating growth last year as the lockdown measures were relaxed. Should investors consider buying either gaming stock right now as they face challenging post-lockdown comparisons?Image source: Getty Images. The differences between Roblox and NintendoRoblox generates most of its revenue by selling a virtual currency called Robux. Its players can use Robux to buy additional in-game experiences, items, and cosmetic upgrades for their avatars. It also offers subscription plans, which grant players a monthly stipend of discounted Robux.Nintendo makes most of its money by selling Switch consoles and games. It generates a sliver of its revenue from older consoles, mobile games, playing cards, and licensing fees for its franchises.Roblox gauges its growth in terms of daily active users (DAUs), engagement hours, and average bookings per DAU (ABPDAU). Nintendo mainly reports its growth in terms of console and game shipments. Roblox is also deeply unprofitable, while Nintendo's bottom line is firmly in the black.Roblox faces a tough post-lockdown slowdownRoblox's revenue surged 82% to $924 million in 2020, then jumped another 108% to $1.92 billion in 2021. Those growth rates seem impressive, but its bookings -- which include its deferred revenue and other adjustments -- actually give investors a clearer picture of its underlying growth.Roblox's bookings surged 171% to $1.88 billion in 2020 as more people played its games throughout the pandemic, but grew just 45% to $2.73 billion in 2021 as more students returned to school.Roblox ended 2021 with 45.5 million DAUs, representing 40% growth from a year earlier. Its total engagement hours grew 35% to 41.4 billion, but its ABPDAU increase just 4% to $59.85. Moreover, its ABPDAU actually declined year-over-year in both the third and fourth quarters of the year.Roblox also recently revealed that its bookings rose just 2%-3% year-over-year in January, and that its ABPDAU likely declined 22%-23% during the month. Roblox blames that slowdown on its overseas expansion and a focus on gaining older users, but its high-growth days are clearly over. Analysts expect its reported revenue to increase just 23% in 2022.On the bottom line, Roblox's net loss widened from $71 million in 2019 to $253 million in 2020, then widened again to $492 million in 2021. Analysts expect it to remain deeply unprofitable for the foreseeable future.Nintendo could generate stronger growth in 2022Nintendo's revenue soared 34% to 1.76 trillion yen ($15.2 billion) in fiscal 2020, which ended last March. Its shipments of Switch consoles and software units both grew 37% as more people stayed at home. But in the first nine months of 2021, Nintendo's revenue declined 6% year-over-year to 1.32 trillion yen ($11.4 billion). Its Switch shipments tumbled 21% due to a tough comparison to the previous year and ongoing supply chain challenges, but its software shipments still rose 2%. Nintendo expects its revenue to decline 6% for the full year.Nintendo's net profit surged 86% to 480 billion yen ($4.15 billion) in 2020, but dipped 3% to 367 billion yen ($3.18 billion) in the first nine months of 2021. It expects its net profit to decline 16% for the full year. For 2022, analysts expect Nintendo's revenue to stay nearly flat with just 6% earnings growth. Those growth rates seem anemic, but several catalysts could help it exceed analysts' expectations: a resolution of its supply chain issues, robust sales of the Switch OLED, big upcoming games (including Metroid Prime 4 and a new Legend of Zelda game), and the expansion of its franchises beyond video games with new licensing deals. The valuations and verdictRoblox can't be valued by its profits yet, but it trades at about ten times its 2022 sales after its recent post-earnings pullback. Nintendo trades at 16 times forward earnings and just four times this year's sales.Roblox is growing faster than Nintendo, but it faces a much more challenging slowdown. Its lack of profits and high debt-to-equity ratio of 6.7 could also limit its appeal as interest rates rise. Nintendo's brand is stronger, its business is better diversified across the hardware and software markets, it's firmly profitable, and it has a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.3.Nintendo might not attract a lot of attention from the bulls until it finally unveils a proper successor to the Switch, which was launched nearly five years ago. Nonetheless, it's still a much more appealing investment than Roblox in this challenging market for pandemic-era growth stocks.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RBLX":1,"NTDOY":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2547,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9094519129,"gmtCreate":1645177988047,"gmtModify":1676534006138,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9094519129","repostId":"1101305277","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1101305277","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1637919133,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1101305277?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-11-26 17:32","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"Meituan total revenues increased by 37.9% to RMB48.8 billion year-over-year for Q3.","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1101305277","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"For the third quarter of 2021, Meituan total revenues increased by 37.9% to RMB48.8 billion from RMB","content":"
For the third quarter of 2021, Meituan total revenues increased by 37.9% to RMB48.8 billion from RMB35.4 billion for the same period of 2020
\n
The food delivery and in-store, hotel & travel segments realized solid growth, with an aggregate operating profit of RMB4.7 billion from these segments in the third quarter of 2021, up from RMB3.6 billion for the same period of 2020; while operating loss from the new initiatives and others segment expanded, as the company continued to invest in areas that would bring long-term value to the Company.
\n
As a result, both adjusted EBITDA and adjusted net profit experienced negative year-over-year growth for the third quarter of 2021 and turned to negative RMB4.1 billion and adjusted net loss RMB5.5 billion, respectively.
\n
Meituan net cash flows from operating activities turned to an outflow of RMB4.0 billion in the third quarter of 2021 from an inflow of RMB3.3 billion for the same period of 2020. Could this move spell trouble for Block (NYSE:SQ) and PayPal Holdings (NASDAQ:PYPL)?What's Apple's game plan?Apple Pay has been adopted by more than 90% of U.S. retailers since its launch in 2014. Unlike Block's Square, PayPal, and other digital payment services, Apple Pay doesn't charge its merchants any fees. Instead, it merely allows a stored credit or debit card to be used on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Macs with Touch ID, Face ID, and NFC security features.Apple also launched Pay Cash, a peer-to-peer payments service, in 2017. This service, which competes against Block's Cash App and PayPal's Venmo, is also free to use.For Apple, digital payments represent a way to lock in users instead of generating significant revenue. It's just another brick in its prisoner-taking ecosystem, which also includes its App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and other subscription-based services. The stickiness of that ecosystem widens Apple's moat against Alphabet's (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google Android. Google's comparable solution, Google Pay, is also a free service for merchants. Therefore, Tap to Pay on iPhone represents a natural extension of that strategy. Google Pay also provides peer-to-peer and in-store payments, but its merchants still need to install third-party NFC payment terminals. What Tap to Pay means for Block and PayPalTo understand how Apple's latest move could affect Block and PayPal, we need to first realize that their business models are very different. For merchants, Apple Pay and Google Pay are merely streamlined credit and debit card transactions. The merchants don't pay Apple and Google any fees, but they still need to pay a \"card-present\" swipe fee at physical stores, which can cost 1.3% to 3.5% depending on the card network.Block's Square and PayPal shoulder those swipe fees and charge the merchants flat transaction-based fees instead. Those fees, which are reduced by the scale of Square's and PayPal's own payment networks, can be a cheaper option than card-present swipe fees for certain businesses. Square and PayPal also cross-sell additional products -- such as payroll tools, analytics services, and loans -- to offset those costs and boost their revenue per merchant.Apple's latest move doesn't directly disrupt those business models. In fact, Block's Square Seller services and Cash App already work with Apple Pay, while PayPal integrates Apple Pay into its Braintree back-end payments platform. Apple already plans to integrate Tap to Pay with other third-party iOS payment apps -- starting with Stripe -- so Block and PayPal could also add the new option to their own payment ecosystems in the near future.Apple's Tap to Pay on iPhone might eliminate the need for Square's payment dongles and terminals, but that loss-leading hardware generated less than 1% of its revenue in the first nine months of 2021. PayPal sells point-of-sale (POS) terminals through its Zettle subsidiary, but it also doesn't generate significant revenue from those products.Apple isn't a threat to Block and PayPal (yet)Apple's new Tap to Pay feature might initially seem like a threat to Block and PayPal, but it will actually only impact their tiny hardware segments.Block and PayPal's core businesses should remain largely unaffected, since Apple Pay targets a completely different market. It also probably won't turn Apple Pay Cash into a major threat to Block's Cash App or PayPal's Venmo, which together serve at least 150 million active customers. In addition, Apple won't expand Apple Pay's ecosystem with data-gathering value-added services like Block and PayPal, since its privacy-oriented platform can't actually identify the purchaser or the product being purchased. Therefore, investors should simply view Apple Pay and Google Pay as secure, smartphone-based extensions of physical cards. Meanwhile, Block and PayPal are middlemen that leverage their scale to offer more favorable payment processing rates while selling additional value-added services. These two markets overlap in certain areas like payment terminals, but Apple and Google's ecosystem-building fintech moves probably won't render digital payment platforms like Block and PayPal obsolete anytime soon.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PYPL":1,"SQ":1,"AAPL":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1146,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9095657254,"gmtCreate":1644907162988,"gmtModify":1676533974589,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Go go go SE!","listText":"Go go go SE!","text":"Go go go SE!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9095657254","repostId":"1169371616","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":616,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9095657871,"gmtCreate":1644907026697,"gmtModify":1676533974581,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"All the best to SE!","listText":"All the best to SE!","text":"All the best to SE!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9095657871","repostId":"2211010506","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":849,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092871926,"gmtCreate":1644594036572,"gmtModify":1676533944780,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Great","listText":"Great","text":"Great","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092871926","repostId":"1139099074","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1139099074","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1644589938,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1139099074?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-11 22:32","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Affirm Shares Tumbled 8% in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1139099074","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Affirm shares tumbled 8% in morning trading.Affirm Holdings Inc on Thursday posted a larger-than-exp","content":"

Affirm shares tumbled 8% in morning trading.

Affirm Holdings Inc on Thursday posted a larger-than-expected loss for the second quarter as the buy now, pay later firm spent more on stock-based compensation following its initial public offering.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The S&P 500 -- an index that tracks the largest 500 U.S. companies -- declined more than 5%, making it its worst month since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020. The Nasdaq Composite -- an index that includes all stocks listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange -- saw roughly a 9% decline. The negative market activity has left some wondering if they should be investing right now. Simply answered: Yes.Think of market dips as discountsOne of the only things certain in stock investing is volatility. It has historically been true, and there's no reason to believe it'll change in the future. If you're investing for the future and believe in the long-term potential of the companies you're investing in, the short-term price movements shouldn't concern you too much. If anything, you can view these downturns as discounts. If you were willing to invest in a company or fund at $200 per share and the price drops to $180, you shouldn't be discouraged; you should consider this as a chance to lower your cost basis and get a bigger share if you so choose. If you buy 10 shares of a company at $200 per share, your cost basis is $200 per share. If the price drops to $180 and you buy 10 more, your cost basis is now $190 per share. That means if the price rises to $200 again, you'll have $200 in unrealized gains.Focus on your long-term goalsOne of the main reasons to invest is to make sure you're financially comfortable and able to live how you wish to in retirement. You likely won't be able to accomplish this if you're sporadically investing whenever you feel like the market is \"good.\" Instead, you'll want to be making consistent investments over time, regardless of the market conditions at the time.If you have a 401(k) plan, short of you stopping contributions totally, they'll continue to go into your account. If the market is bad, contributions still happen; if the market is good, contributions still happen. No matter the market conditions, you'll continue to invest -- that's how dollar-cost averaging works, and it's a strategy you should strongly consider. There are two primary ways to get paid from a stock: an increase in the share price and dividend payouts. The first one is the obvious way, but many people underestimate the power of dividends.Take AT&T, for example. On Jan. 4, 2021, AT&T's stock closed at $29.44, and on Jan. 3, 2022, it closed at $25.43. Although the price decreased by $4.01 during that span, you earned $2.08 in dividends per share if you were a shareholder. Obviously, the $2.08 gained is less than the $4.01 lost, but if you're a long-term investor, you should be less concerned with the current stock price than the income you earned just by holding the stock.Believe in timeIf you're investing in blue chip companies -- which are well-established companies with a history of being great investments even in bear markets -- you can have faith that their business should weather whatever storm the market is going through.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":576,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092853902,"gmtCreate":1644590689716,"gmtModify":1676533944244,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Oh dear","listText":"Oh dear","text":"Oh dear","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092853902","repostId":"1142512500","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1142512500","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1644590123,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1142512500?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-11 22:35","market":"us","language":"en","title":"DiDi Fell 5% in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1142512500","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Didi fell 5% in morning trading as Tencent says hasn’t bought more DiDi shares since its U.S. IPO.Te","content":"

Didi fell 5% in morning trading as Tencent says hasn’t bought more DiDi shares since its U.S. IPO.Tencent Holdings Ltd. said it hasn’t bought shares in Didi Global Inc. since it went public, after a U.S. regulatory filing showing an increased stake sent shares of the Chinese ride-hailing company soaring almost 9%.

Tencent said in a filing Thursday it had added about 1.8 million Didi Class A ordinary shares to its last-known holdings. The firm purportedly sold over $30 million worth of two types of tokens that the SEC deemed to be securities that should have been registered as such.\nThe SEC notes that Blockchain Credit Partners founders Gregory Keough and Derek Acree will have to pay fines of $125,000 while the company itself also agreed to pay $12.8 million in disgorgement. The settlement does not indicate an admition or denial the accusations.\nNew Game, Old Rules?\nSEC Enforcement Director Gurbir Grewal explained that \"full and honest disclosure remains the cornerstone of our securities laws — no matter what technologies are used to offer and sell those securities.\" This comment makes it very clear that slapping the DeFi label on a project and hoping to avoid regulation this way works no better than calling it a \"utility token\" prevented falling under the SEC's scrutiny during 2017's initial coin offering craze.\nThe SEC is trying to send the clear rule that the new kind of financial organizations that operate on blockchains have to still play by the old rules that govern traditional finance. At the same time, market onlookers are not sure if the regulator is actually right.\nIn a way, it is a tour de force where the regulator wins every time it has a way to take enforcement action, but these new organizations potentially have a very real way to make enforcement impossible — or at the very least impractical. The only protection against enforcement by the SEC and other regulators is decentralization and the only reason why the SEC was able to act in this case is that a centralized organization such as Blockchain Credit Partners exists.\nWhat's Next:If no company exists and all that there is to a DeFi protocol is a set of smart contracts deployed on a blockchain by a group of anonymous developers scattered around the world there is very little that the SEC can do short of attacking the blockchain itself. This is where the decentralization of the underlying blockchain comes into play: will the regulators for instance be able to force Ethereum's (CRYPTO: ETH) core development team to write an update stopping such a project?\nIf the regulators would actually be able to force the blockchain's developers to write such an update, would node operators and miners or stakers adopt this software or would they refuse to? Such situations will be the real test of the decentralization and reliability of any blockchain that many are waiting to happen. Regulators are seeing power slipping away between their fingers like sand, and they are going to try to grab it.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"COIN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":622,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":884623528,"gmtCreate":1631888101964,"gmtModify":1676530662833,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Please like","listText":"Please like","text":"Please like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/884623528","repostId":"2168002520","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":343,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":161515051,"gmtCreate":1623934569073,"gmtModify":1703823851330,"author":{"id":"3579743164156658","authorId":"3579743164156658","name":"sheenayam","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe1b57a8371314fd64ce0840001df6b2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579743164156658","authorIdStr":"3579743164156658"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Please like and comment. company following a disappointing analyst day event.
\n
Coupa hosted a virtual analyst day on Thursday, when the platform provider shared additional detail about its Coupa Pay service, and also provided an update on its longer-term prospects.
\n
Analysts honed in on the more conservative outlook provided by Coupa's management team as the likely reason behind Thursday's selloff, though were generally sanguine about the company's longer-term prospects, with Piper Sandler one of the the few Wall Street investment firms to lower its one-year price target.
\n
Piper Sandler analysts also focused on lack of progress with Coupa Pay, noting that “… considering the necessary conservatism that is needed to continue the well-known beat and raise cadence, the set-up was always less than ideal.” They held their overweight rating on the stock though lowered their price target to $295 from $300.
\n
Truist Securities was slightly more upbeat, though admitted investors “could have been disappointed by either what they heard from an attach rate perspective on Coupa Pay or potentially were disappointed that it’s likely a multi-year time line before Coupa Pay really moves the But the broader tech market sell-off since November 2021 has been brutal to many high-growth stocks, and some now present an attractive risk-reward proposition.Two stocks in particular are changing the face of their respective industries through innovation. It's an ambitious undertaking, and success is rarely without bumps in the road. But if they can turn around the sentiment regarding the true value of their stock, they could supercharge your portfolio over the long term.Image source: Getty Images.1. Latch: Down 68%The security industry for new buildings probably isn't the first place you'd look for a transformative tech stock. But Latch (NASDAQ:LTCH) is delivering innovative solutions that are changing the way high-rise builders think about guest management and access. Latch has become so popular, in fact, that 3 out of every 10 new apartments in the U.S. feature its security products.The company's Smart Access technology allows users to unlock their doors using the Latch App, a key code, or even their Apple Watch. It offers multiple hardware configurations to serve new construction or to retrofit existing buildings. And the Latch Intercom allows new-age guest and delivery management, giving the users power to grant access to a visitor or a courier even if they're not home.But unlike many security providers, which install systems and then move on, Latch is also a software-as-a-service company. Once its Intercom and Smart Home systems are implemented, it charges each landlord a subscription fee, creating a recurring revenue stream. As of the recent third quarter of 2021, it had booked $59.8 million of annual recurring revenue, a growing portion of its expected $360 million in total bookings for 2021.Buildings take time to complete, and since Latch often makes deals with builders before projects begin construction, it reports bookings that are expected to eventually convert into revenue when finished. Once Latch officially reports its fourth-quarter 2021 results, the company expects it will have generated up to $42 million in revenue for the full year. In 2022, analysts expect that figure to soar 252% to $148 million, the natural result of a bookings backlog that is quickly being realized.Latch is not a profitable company just yet, but its revenue growth over the next few years could pave the way to positive earnings per share. Its stock has traded in the public markets for less than a year, and while it offers promise, investors should make this bet a long-term one.Image source: Getty Images.2. Lemonade: Down 84%Artificial intelligence (AI) is allowing companies to rapidly deliver products and solutions that used to require hours of human input. In this case, Lemonade (NYSE:LMND) is leveraging the advanced technology to sell insurance. It offers five different types including car insurance, a segment it only recently entered.Lemonade's goal is to make the customer experience more pleasant, and its AI-powered bot, Maya, does this by delivering a quote in less than 90 seconds. There's no need for frustrating, lengthy phone calls or clunky online questionnaires. Filing a claim is quick, too, with processing times as short as three minutes. This is particularly appealing to younger buyers, with the majority of Lemonade's customers being under age 34.When Lemonade developed its homeowners, renters, pet, and life insurance, its strategy was to allow its AI model to learn over time. The more data it ingests, the more accurate it becomes, and therefore reaching optimal performance can be a slow process. When it pivoted to car insurance, which is its largest market yet, it decided to bolt on an acquisition to speed up the process.In November 2021, Lemonade acquired Metromile (NASDAQ:MILE), which also uses AI for insurance purposes. At the time, Metromile had collected over 3 billion miles' worth of data and had a decade-long head start over Lemonade in car insurance. Additionally, Metromile brought its 49 state licenses to the deal, which is incredibly valuable to Lemonade as a new entrant to the market.Lemonade already has 1.36 million customers, but car insurance could transform its business by helping it snatch market share from much larger industry players. In 2020, the company generated $94 million in revenue, but in 2022 analysts expect that figure to soar to $219 million. That's a 132% increase in just two years or a 52% compound annual growth rate.And it could get even better. The U.S. car insurance market is estimated to be worth $316 billion in 2022, so while Lemonade's stock is down 84% from its all-time high of $182, it has an enormous addressable market to grow into. That makes it an exciting long-term bet for investors who are open to some risk.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AI":1,"MILE":1,"LTCH":1,"LMND":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":558,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
