Its adjusted net income jumped 117% to $2.44 billion, or $2.14 per share -- which also cleared expectations by $0.16.</p><p>Those headline numbers were impressive, but do they make Micron a compelling investment? Let&#39;s review five reasons to buy the stock -- as well as one reason to sell it -- to find out.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a63155855db0c679488faf41b53cb374\" tg-width=\"2000\" tg-height=\"1333\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p><p><b>1. Double-digit revenue growth for the foreseeable future</b></p><p>Micron&#39;s 25% revenue growth in the second quarter easily surpassed its previous guidance for 17% to 23% growth. It also represented its eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.</p><p>For the third quarter, it expects its revenue to rise 17% year over year to $8.7 billion, which also exceeded analysts&#39; expectations for 10% growth.</p><p>Analysts had expected Micron&#39;s revenue to grow 17% for the full year and rise another 21% in fiscal 2023 -- but the company&#39;s sunny guidance suggests those estimates might be too low.</p><p><b>2. No cyclical slowdown yet</b></p><p>Micron generated 73% of its revenue from DRAM chips during the second quarter. Another 25% came from NAND chips, while the remaining 2% came from other types of memory chips.</p><p>Its DRAM revenue rose 2% sequentially and 29% year over year, while its NAND revenue increased 4% sequentially and 19% year over year.</p><p>That robust growth -- which Micron attributed to the strength of the data center market, robust sales of desktop and enterprise PCs, and the expansion of the automotive and industrial markets -- indicates the &#34;super cycle&#34; in chip upgrades across multiple industries is far from over. The global chip shortage, which Micron expects to last until 2023, will likely prolong that cycle with tighter supplies and higher prices.</p><p>Micron expects the DRAM and NAND markets to maintain a &#34;healthy supply demand balance&#34; throughout the rest of the year, and that the industry&#39;s progress in resolving non-memory component shortages (which indirectly curb the market&#39;s appetite for memory chips) will buoy its near-term growth.</p><p><b>3. Expanding gross and operating margins</b></p><p>Micron&#39;s adjusted gross margin expanded both sequentially and year over year in the second quarter. Its adjusted operating margin dipped sequentially but also significantly expanded year over year. Non-GAAP basis.</p><p>For the third quarter, Micron expects its adjusted gross margin to rise to about 48% as both its DRAM and NAND gross margins improve sequentially -- even as it recognizes a higher mix of lower-margin NAND revenues.</p><p><b>4. Limited exposure to Russia and Ukraine</b></p><p>Over the past month, Ukraine war has exacerbated the global chip shortage by disrupting supplies of neon gas and other minerals.</p><p>But during the conference call, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the company had &#34;strategically diversified&#34; its supply chain over the past few years and maintained &#34;appropriate inventories of materials and noble gases.&#34; Therefore, it doesn&#39;t anticipate &#34;any negative impact&#34; to its &#34;near-term production volumes&#34; from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.</p><p>Mehrotra said the conflict could still cause some of Micron&#39;s costs to rise as it secures a &#34;supply of certain raw materials that could be at risk.&#34; However, its gross margin forecast for the third quarter strongly suggests it will offset those costs with higher average selling prices.</p><p><b>5. A very attractive valuation</b></p><p>Micron trades at just eight times forward earnings, making it one of the market&#39;s cheapest major semiconductor stocks.<b>Intel</b> trades at 14 times forward earnings, while <b>Qualcomm</b> has a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 13.</p><p>Yet Micron is also growing at a much faster rate than both chipmakers. Analysts expect Micron&#39;s adjusted earnings to grow a whopping 51% this year and increase another 35% in fiscal 2023. Over the next five years, they expect its annual earnings to grow at an average rate of about 25% -- which gives it a low PEG ratio of 0.9. Generally speaking, a PEG ratio under 1.0 is considered deeply undervalued.</p><p><b>The one reason to sell Micron: A cyclical slowdown</b></p><p>Micron usually trades at a discount to larger chipmakers like Intel and Qualcomm because its core business is less diversified and more cyclical.</p><p>As a pure-play memory chipmaker, Micron&#39;s growth is pinned to the boom and bust cycles of the DRAM and NAND markets. During its last bust in 2019, Micron&#39;s revenue declined year over year for<i>six straight quarters</i>before returning to growth in the third quarter of fiscal 2020. That&#39;s when its current boom cycle started.</p><p>It&#39;s unclear when this growth cycle will end. But when it does, it will likely cause Micron to abruptly miss Wall Street&#39;s optimistic forecasts.</p><p><b>The strengths still outweigh the weaknesses</b></p><p>Micron&#39;s growth will eventually decelerate, but the current super cycle of chip upgrades should last for at least another year. Feinseth&#39;s note accompanying his firms&#39; price target increase points to AT&amp;T&#39;s subscriber growth and upcoming spinoff of WarnerMedia (which I&#39;ll touch on in a moment) as reasons shares can head substantially higher.</p><p>For AT&amp;T investors (of which I&#39;m one), there are two key catalysts on the immediate horizon.</p><p>First, there&#39;s the continued upgrade of wireless infrastructure to support 5G speeds. It&#39;s been roughly a decade since download speeds were meaningfully improved. The rollout of 5G should entice consumers and businesses to replace their wireless devices for years to come. Since AT&amp;T&#39;s wireless segment generates its juiciest margins from data consumption, faster download speeds with 5G represent a healthy dose of organic growth for this stalwart telecom company.</p><p>The second catalyst is the aforementioned spinoff of content arm WarnerMedia, which will then be merged with <b>Discovery</b> (NASDAQ:DISCA)(NASDAQ:DISCK) to create a new media entity, WarnerMedia-Discovery. Current AT&amp;T investors will have a stake in this new media company.</p><p>When merged, WarnerMedia-Discovery will offer a larger content library and should be able to reduce its annual expenses by more than $3 billion. Pro forma subscriber figures suggest the new company will have in the neighborhood of 94 million streaming customers.</p><p>For what remains of AT&amp;T following the spinoff, the focus will turn to debt reduction. AT&amp;T plans to slightly more than halve its dividend so it&#39;ll have even more cash to pay down its debt. Yet even with this upcoming dividend cut, AT&amp;T will still sport a hearty yield of around 4.3%.</p><p>Betting on a 72% increase in its share price in 12 months seems a bit optimistic. However, unlocking value via the WarnerMedia spinoff is a smart move and suggests AT&amp;T could move much higher over time.</p><h2>Sabra Health Care REIT: Implied upside of 34% (8.93% yield)</h2><p>A second ultra-high-yield dividend stock with substantial upside, according to one Wall Street analyst, is <b>Sabra Health Care REIT</b> (NASDAQ:SBRA).</p><p>Sabra, which is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns more than 400 healthcare facilities tied to skilled nursing and senior housing, is expected to rally to $18 a share over the next 12 months, based on the price target offered by Stifel analyst Stephen Manaker. Manaker&#39;s optimism is based on the expectation of healthy funds from operation growth in 2022 despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. If Manaker is right, Sabra&#39;s shares could jump 34%, which would be on top of its nearly 9% yield.</p><p>As you might imagine, Sabra Health Care was hit hard during the early stages of the pandemic. Since COVID-19 is particularly troublesome for the elderly, occupancy rates at skilled nursing and senior housing facilities fell. This put into question whether Sabra would receive rent from its tenants on schedule.</p><p>But there&#39;s good news. According to the company, 99.6% of all expected rents have been collected since the pandemic began two years ago. What&#39;s more, senior occupancy rates in the skilled nursing and senior housing facilities it owns troughed over a year ago and have been rebounding ever since.</p><p>To add to the positives, the company recently amended its master lease agreement with Avamere, an operator of 27 facilities leased from Sabra. Avamere is the one key operator that had previously struggled to meet its rent payments. This amended master lease agreement gives Avamere some breathing room as it recovers from the worst of the pandemic, and it allows Sabra to potentially net more in future rent if Avamere&#39;s recovery really gains steam. In other words, a big gray cloud of uncertainty has been removed.</p><p>Although the pandemic isn&#39;t over, investors can begin looking into the future and marveling at Sabra&#39;s prime position in the healthcare space. He noted that the company &#34;extended our platform to the employee even further through innovations like BETI, which enables employees to do their own payroll, and we are seeing very strong adoption and record employee usage.&#34;</p><p>The company sees Beti, which stands for Better Employee Transaction Interface, as the new way of doing payroll. The industry-first employee-driven payroll solution improves data accuracy, oversight, and user experience. It puts the payroll responsibility into the hands of employees, eliminating a multistep, imperfect, and time-consuming process for HR departments while giving employees more insight into their pay.</p><p>Richison stated on the call:</p><blockquote>For years, I have been predicting the end of the old model, whereby HR and payroll personnel&#39;s routine of inputting data for employees, is replaced by a self-service model that provides employees direct access to the database. The old model is dying and that is good for both the business and the employee. Paycom is leading this transformation.</blockquote><p>That&#39;s just the latest innovation from the company. The company&#39;s single-database HR platform works better than the cobbled-together systems that most companies use today. That has enabled Paycom to capitalize by offering companies an easy-to-use system that improves user experiences, allowing them to maximize the return on this investment in Paycom&#39;s software.</p><h2>An unstoppable growth driver</h2><p>This award-winning solution has been a smashing success. It helped drive record annual revenue retention of 94% in 2021, up from 93% in the prior year. It was also a key growth driver. The company ended the year with nearly 34,000 clients, up 9% compared to 2020. Meanwhile, revenue surged 29% year-over-year in the fourth quarter and 25.4% for the full year. Earnings grew even faster as its margin expanded despite aggressive spending to grow the business. The company delivered an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin of 39.7% of its revenue in 2021, up from 39.3% in 2020.</p><p>Paycom is only scratching the surface of its potential. Richison noted on the call that &#34;we still only have approximately 5% of the TAM (total available market) today, so there&#39;s plenty of runway ahead to expand and continue to capture market share.&#34; It&#39;s investing heavily to continue taking more market share. It opened five new outside sales offices over the last five months (<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MHC.AU\">Manhattan</a>, Las Vegas, Jacksonville, New England, and South Jersey) -- bringing the total to 54 -- to expand its geographic reach. In addition, it has expanded the upper end of its target client size from those with up to 5,000 employees to those with upwards of 10,000 employees.</p><p>These catalysts have Paycom positioned to continue growing fast in 2022 and beyond. The cloud-based software company sees its revenue rising to more than $1.3 billion this year, putting it up nearly 25% from last year&#39;s total. Meanwhile, it sees a further improvement in its adjusted EBITDA margin to around 40% this year, suggesting continued strong profit growth.</p><h2>Lots of growth still ahead</h2><p>Paycom continues to disrupt the payroll industry by launching innovative software solutions that improve the process. While it has grown tremendously over the years, it still has lots of room to run. The old model is dying and that is good for both the business and the employee. Paycom is leading this transformation.That's just the latest innovation from the company. The company's single-database HR platform works better than the cobbled-together systems that most companies use today. That has enabled Paycom to capitalize by offering companies an easy-to-use system that improves user experiences, allowing them to maximize the return on this investment in Paycom's software.An unstoppable growth driverThis award-winning solution has been a smashing success. It helped drive record annual revenue retention of 94% in 2021, up from 93% in the prior year. It was also a key growth driver. The company ended the year with nearly 34,000 clients, up 9% compared to 2020. Meanwhile, revenue surged 29% year-over-year in the fourth quarter and 25.4% for the full year. Earnings grew even faster as its margin expanded despite aggressive spending to grow the business. The company delivered an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin of 39.7% of its revenue in 2021, up from 39.3% in 2020.Paycom is only scratching the surface of its potential. What I&#39;m ultimately trying to say is that high-yield and ultra-high-yield stocks (those I&#39;m arbitrarily defining as having yields of 7% or higher) require extra vetting.</p><p>The good news for investors is that there are high-quality, ultra-high-yield dividend stocks they can buy and count on. In fact, select analysts on Wall Street see abundant upside for two popular ultra-high-yield income stocks. If these one-year price targets prove accurate, this duo could offer as much as 72% upside.</p><h2>AT&amp;T: Implied upside of 72% (8.71% yield)</h2><p>Among ultra-high-yielding stocks, you&#39;d struggle to find a company with more upside potential than telecom stock <b>AT&amp;T</b> (NYSE:T) -- at least according to one analyst.</p><p>In January, Ivan Feinseth of Tigress Financial increased his firm&#39;s 12-month price target on AT&amp;T to $41 from $36. If Feinseth&#39;s price target were to become reality, AT&amp;T&#39;s shares would increase by a cool 72%. Feinseth&#39;s note accompanying his firms&#39; price target increase points to AT&amp;T&#39;s subscriber growth and upcoming spinoff of WarnerMedia (which I&#39;ll touch on in a moment) as reasons shares can head substantially higher.</p><p>For AT&amp;T investors (of which I&#39;m one), there are two key catalysts on the immediate horizon.</p><p>First, there&#39;s the continued upgrade of wireless infrastructure to support 5G speeds. It&#39;s been roughly a decade since download speeds were meaningfully improved. The rollout of 5G should entice consumers and businesses to replace their wireless devices for years to come. Since AT&amp;T&#39;s wireless segment generates its juiciest margins from data consumption, faster download speeds with 5G represent a healthy dose of organic growth for this stalwart telecom company.</p><p>The second catalyst is the aforementioned spinoff of content arm WarnerMedia, which will then be merged with <b>Discovery</b> (NASDAQ:DISCA)(NASDAQ:DISCK) to create a new media entity, WarnerMedia-Discovery. Current AT&amp;T investors will have a stake in this new media company.</p><p>When merged, WarnerMedia-Discovery will offer a larger content library and should be able to reduce its annual expenses by more than $3 billion. Pro forma subscriber figures suggest the new company will have in the neighborhood of 94 million streaming customers.</p><p>For what remains of AT&amp;T following the spinoff, the focus will turn to debt reduction. AT&amp;T plans to slightly more than halve its dividend so it&#39;ll have even more cash to pay down its debt. Yet even with this upcoming dividend cut, AT&amp;T will still sport a hearty yield of around 4.3%.</p><p>Betting on a 72% increase in its share price in 12 months seems a bit optimistic. However, unlocking value via the WarnerMedia spinoff is a smart move and suggests AT&amp;T could move much higher over time.</p><h2>Sabra Health Care REIT: Implied upside of 34% (8.93% yield)</h2><p>A second ultra-high-yield dividend stock with substantial upside, according to one Wall Street analyst, is <b>Sabra Health Care REIT</b> (NASDAQ:SBRA).</p><p>Sabra, which is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns more than 400 healthcare facilities tied to skilled nursing and senior housing, is expected to rally to $18 a share over the next 12 months, based on the price target offered by Stifel analyst Stephen Manaker. Manaker&#39;s optimism is based on the expectation of healthy funds from operation growth in 2022 despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. If Manaker is right, Sabra&#39;s shares could jump 34%, which would be on top of its nearly 9% yield.</p><p>As you might imagine, Sabra Health Care was hit hard during the early stages of the pandemic. Since COVID-19 is particularly troublesome for the elderly, occupancy rates at skilled nursing and senior housing facilities fell. This put into question whether Sabra would receive rent from its tenants on schedule.</p><p>But there&#39;s good news. According to the company, 99.6% of all expected rents have been collected since the pandemic began two years ago. What&#39;s more, senior occupancy rates in the skilled nursing and senior housing facilities it owns troughed over a year ago and have been rebounding ever since.</p><p>To add to the positives, the company recently amended its master lease agreement with Avamere, an operator of 27 facilities leased from Sabra. Avamere is the one key operator that had previously struggled to meet its rent payments. This amended master lease agreement gives Avamere some breathing room as it recovers from the worst of the pandemic, and it allows Sabra to potentially net more in future rent if Avamere&#39;s recovery really gains steam. In other words, a big gray cloud of uncertainty has been removed.</p><p>Although the pandemic isn&#39;t over, investors can begin looking into the future and marveling at Sabra&#39;s prime position in the healthcare space. Morgan Asset Management, a division of money-center bank JPMorgan Chase, released a report that examined the annualized performance of dividend-paying stocks to non-dividend payers over a 40-year period (1972-2012). The report showed that dividend stocks absolutely mopped the floor with publicly traded companies that didn't pay a dividend. Specifically, companies that initiated and grew their payout delivered a 9.5% annualized return, which was many multiples higher than the 1.6% annualized return from the public companies not paying a dividend.This outperformance isn't unexpected. Its adjusted net income jumped 117% to $2.44 billion, or $2.14 per share -- which also cleared expectations by $0.16.</p><p>Those headline numbers were impressive, but do they make Micron a compelling investment? Let&#39;s review five reasons to buy the stock -- as well as one reason to sell it -- to find out.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a63155855db0c679488faf41b53cb374\" tg-width=\"2000\" tg-height=\"1333\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p><p><b>1. Double-digit revenue growth for the foreseeable future</b></p><p>Micron&#39;s 25% revenue growth in the second quarter easily surpassed its previous guidance for 17% to 23% growth. It also represented its eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.</p><p>For the third quarter, it expects its revenue to rise 17% year over year to $8.7 billion, which also exceeded analysts&#39; expectations for 10% growth.</p><p>Analysts had expected Micron&#39;s revenue to grow 17% for the full year and rise another 21% in fiscal 2023 -- but the company&#39;s sunny guidance suggests those estimates might be too low.</p><p><b>2. No cyclical slowdown yet</b></p><p>Micron generated 73% of its revenue from DRAM chips during the second quarter. Another 25% came from NAND chips, while the remaining 2% came from other types of memory chips.</p><p>Its DRAM revenue rose 2% sequentially and 29% year over year, while its NAND revenue increased 4% sequentially and 19% year over year.</p><p>That robust growth -- which Micron attributed to the strength of the data center market, robust sales of desktop and enterprise PCs, and the expansion of the automotive and industrial markets -- indicates the &#34;super cycle&#34; in chip upgrades across multiple industries is far from over. The global chip shortage, which Micron expects to last until 2023, will likely prolong that cycle with tighter supplies and higher prices.</p><p>Micron expects the DRAM and NAND markets to maintain a &#34;healthy supply demand balance&#34; throughout the rest of the year, and that the industry&#39;s progress in resolving non-memory component shortages (which indirectly curb the market&#39;s appetite for memory chips) will buoy its near-term growth.</p><p><b>3. Expanding gross and operating margins</b></p><p>Micron&#39;s adjusted gross margin expanded both sequentially and year over year in the second quarter. Its adjusted operating margin dipped sequentially but also significantly expanded year over year. Non-GAAP basis.</p><p>For the third quarter, Micron expects its adjusted gross margin to rise to about 48% as both its DRAM and NAND gross margins improve sequentially -- even as it recognizes a higher mix of lower-margin NAND revenues.</p><p><b>4. Limited exposure to Russia and Ukraine</b></p><p>Over the past month, Ukraine war has exacerbated the global chip shortage by disrupting supplies of neon gas and other minerals.</p><p>But during the conference call, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the company had &#34;strategically diversified&#34; its supply chain over the past few years and maintained &#34;appropriate inventories of materials and noble gases.&#34; Therefore, it doesn&#39;t anticipate &#34;any negative impact&#34; to its &#34;near-term production volumes&#34; from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.</p><p>Mehrotra said the conflict could still cause some of Micron&#39;s costs to rise as it secures a &#34;supply of certain raw materials that could be at risk.&#34; However, its gross margin forecast for the third quarter strongly suggests it will offset those costs with higher average selling prices.</p><p><b>5. A very attractive valuation</b></p><p>Micron trades at just eight times forward earnings, making it one of the market&#39;s cheapest major semiconductor stocks.<b>Intel</b> trades at 14 times forward earnings, while <b>Qualcomm</b> has a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 13.</p><p>Yet Micron is also growing at a much faster rate than both chipmakers. Analysts expect Micron&#39;s adjusted earnings to grow a whopping 51% this year and increase another 35% in fiscal 2023. Over the next five years, they expect its annual earnings to grow at an average rate of about 25% -- which gives it a low PEG ratio of 0.9. Generally speaking, a PEG ratio under 1.0 is considered deeply undervalued.</p><p><b>The one reason to sell Micron: A cyclical slowdown</b></p><p>Micron usually trades at a discount to larger chipmakers like Intel and Qualcomm because its core business is less diversified and more cyclical.</p><p>As a pure-play memory chipmaker, Micron&#39;s growth is pinned to the boom and bust cycles of the DRAM and NAND markets. During its last bust in 2019, Micron&#39;s revenue declined year over year for<i>six straight quarters</i>before returning to growth in the third quarter of fiscal 2020. That&#39;s when its current boom cycle started.</p><p>It&#39;s unclear when this growth cycle will end. But when it does, it will likely cause Micron to abruptly miss Wall Street&#39;s optimistic forecasts.</p><p><b>The strengths still outweigh the weaknesses</b></p><p>Micron&#39;s growth will eventually decelerate, but the current super cycle of chip upgrades should last for at least another year. Its adjusted net income jumped 117% to $2.44 billion, or $2.14 per share -- which also cleared expectations by $0.16.Those headline numbers were impressive, but do they make Micron a compelling investment? Let's review five reasons to buy the stock -- as well as one reason to sell it -- to find out.Image source: Getty Images.1. Double-digit revenue growth for the foreseeable futureMicron's 25% revenue growth in the second quarter easily surpassed its previous guidance for 17% to 23% growth. It also represented its eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.For the third quarter, it expects its revenue to rise 17% year over year to $8.7 billion, which also exceeded analysts' expectations for 10% growth.Analysts had expected Micron's revenue to grow 17% for the full year and rise another 21% in fiscal 2023 -- but the company's sunny guidance suggests those estimates might be too low.2. No cyclical slowdown yetMicron generated 73% of its revenue from DRAM chips during the second quarter. Another 25% came from NAND chips, while the remaining 2% came from other types of memory chips.Its DRAM revenue rose 2% sequentially and 29% year over year, while its NAND revenue increased 4% sequentially and 19% year over year.That robust growth -- which Micron attributed to the strength of the data center market, robust sales of desktop and enterprise PCs, and the expansion of the automotive and industrial markets -- indicates the \"super cycle\" in chip upgrades across multiple industries is far from over. The global chip shortage, which Micron expects to last until 2023, will likely prolong that cycle with tighter supplies and higher prices.Micron expects the DRAM and NAND markets to maintain a \"healthy supply demand balance\" throughout the rest of the year, and that the industry's progress in resolving non-memory component shortages (which indirectly curb the market's appetite for memory chips) will buoy its near-term growth.3. Expanding gross and operating marginsMicron's adjusted gross margin expanded both sequentially and year over year in the second quarter. Its adjusted operating margin dipped sequentially but also significantly expanded year over year. Limited exposure to Russia and UkraineOver the past month, Ukraine war has exacerbated the global chip shortage by disrupting supplies of neon gas and other minerals.But during the conference call, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the company had \"strategically diversified\" its supply chain over the past few years and maintained \"appropriate inventories of materials and noble gases.\" Therefore, it doesn't anticipate \"any negative impact\" to its \"near-term production volumes\" from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.Mehrotra said the conflict could still cause some of Micron's costs to rise as it secures a \"supply of certain raw materials that could be at risk.\" However, its gross margin forecast for the third quarter strongly suggests it will offset those costs with higher average selling prices.5. A very attractive valuationMicron trades at just eight times forward earnings, making it one of the market's cheapest major semiconductor stocks.Intel trades at 14 times forward earnings, while Qualcomm has a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 13.Yet Micron is also growing at a much faster rate than both chipmakers. Analysts expect Micron's adjusted earnings to grow a whopping 51% this year and increase another 35% in fiscal 2023. Over the next five years, they expect its annual earnings to grow at an average rate of about 25% -- which gives it a low PEG ratio of 0.9. Generally speaking, a PEG ratio under 1.0 is considered deeply undervalued.The one reason to sell Micron: A cyclical slowdownMicron usually trades at a discount to larger chipmakers like Intel and Qualcomm because its core business is less diversified and more cyclical.As a pure-play memory chipmaker, Micron's growth is pinned to the boom and bust cycles of the DRAM and NAND markets. During its last bust in 2019, Micron's revenue declined year over year forsix straight quartersbefore returning to growth in the third quarter of fiscal 2020. That's when its current boom cycle started.It's unclear when this growth cycle will end.
