Whether the volatility investors are currently seeing actually foreshadows another market crash is anyone's guess, and trying to time the market to predict the best windows for buying stocks can be a recipe for disaster.
\n
No matter how worried you may be about a crash, it's always a great time to invest in high-quality stocks that generate wealth-building portfolio returns. To that end, let's take a look at two top stocks that can help your portfolio navigate the next market storm and provide meaningful sources of growth for years to come.
\n
1. Facebook
\n
Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) is hardly a new choice for long-term investors, but it's the type of stock you can add more of to your portfolio time and time again. The popular FAANG stock has gained approximately 25% since the beginning of 2021, and is up an eye-popping 41% compared to the same time last year.
\n
Facebook continues to control a massive share of the social media industry. According to Statista, \"Facebook accounted for nearly 71.8% of all social media site visits in the United States in May 2021.\" The company's ever-increasing market share is also driving exponential balance sheet growth.
\n
2020 was just another strong year in the books for Facebook, during which its total revenues increased 22% and its net income rose 58%. But Facebook's financial performance in the first quarter of 2021 left these figures in the dust. The company reported that its revenues surged 48% year over year during the three-month period.
\n
Facebook's net income grew by an even higher percentage -- a whopping 94% from the year-ago stretch. In addition, Facebook reported that its \"daily active users\" (what it calls daily Facebook users) and \"daily active people\" (what it calls daily users of any of Facebook's suite of products) surged by respective rates of 8% and 15% in the month of March alone.
\n
If you're wondering whether it's too late to buy Facebook on account of its upside potential, the answer is a resounding no. Facebook has plenty of juice left in it for long-term investors. And analysts currently estimate that the company can consistently deliver more than 20% average annual earnings growth for at least the next five years.
\n
After nearly two decades in business, Facebook continues to expand its market share and reassert its dominance of the social media sphere. This is a premium stock you can hold onto through both market highs and lows, one that can generate consistent growth and maximize your portfolio returns.
\n
2. AbbVie
\n
Healthcare stock AbbVie (NYSE:ABBV) is another golden egg to have in your basket before the next market crash rolls around. AbbVie spun off from Abbott Laboratories in 2013, and its former parent company is a veteran member of the elite stock club known as Dividend Aristocrats.
\n
Stocks that snag the title of Dividend Aristocrats must raise their dividend for 25 consecutive years, and Abbott has done so for nearly 50. As a spinoff of Abbott, AbbVie is also considered a member of the Dividend Aristocrat club. It yields a robust 4.5% for investors at the time of this writing.
\n
The biggest concern some investors have about AbbVie is the looming loss of U.S. patent protection for its blockbuster drug Humira in 2023. Humira is an immunosuppressive drug used to treat a range of conditions from arthritis to Crohn's disease. It raked in more sales than any other drug in the entire world in 2020 -- amassing total net revenues just shy of $20 billion during the 12-month period.
\n
There's no doubt that AbbVie's balance sheet will reflect the loss of Humira's patent exclusivity in the U.S. in a few years. We need only look to AbbVie's loss of patent exclusivity in Europe -- which largely took effect in October 2018 -- as an example of this.
\n
Case in point: International sales of Humira were down 14% in 2020, but still totaled nearly $4 billion. In short, heightened competition in the U.S. will certainly detract from Humira's sales come 2023, but that doesn't mean that sales of the drug can't still inject healthy growth into AbbVie's balance sheet over the long term.
\n
It's also important to note that AbbVie has a rock-star portfolio of top-selling drugs besides Humira. Whether the volatility investors are currently seeing actually foreshadows another market crash is anyone's guess, and trying to time the market to predict the best windows for buying stocks can be a recipe for disaster.\nNo matter how worried you may be about a crash, it's always a great time to invest in high-quality stocks that generate wealth-building portfolio returns. To that end, let's take a look at two top stocks that can help your portfolio navigate the next market storm and provide meaningful sources of growth for years to come.\n1. Facebook\nFacebook (NASDAQ:FB) is hardly a new choice for long-term investors, but it's the type of stock you can add more of to your portfolio time and time again. The popular FAANG stock has gained approximately 25% since the beginning of 2021, and is up an eye-popping 41% compared to the same time last year.\nFacebook continues to control a massive share of the social media industry. According to Statista, \"Facebook accounted for nearly 71.8% of all social media site visits in the United States in May 2021.\" The company's ever-increasing market share is also driving exponential balance sheet growth.\n2020 was just another strong year in the books for Facebook, during which its total revenues increased 22% and its net income rose 58%. But Facebook's financial performance in the first quarter of 2021 left these figures in the dust. The company reported that its revenues surged 48% year over year during the three-month period.\nFacebook's net income grew by an even higher percentage -- a whopping 94% from the year-ago stretch. In addition, Facebook reported that its \"daily active users\" (what it calls daily Facebook users) and \"daily active people\" (what it calls daily users of any of Facebook's suite of products) surged by respective rates of 8% and 15% in the month of March alone.\nIf you're wondering whether it's too late to buy Facebook on account of its upside potential, the answer is a resounding no. Facebook has plenty of juice left in it for long-term investors. And analysts currently estimate that the company can consistently deliver more than 20% average annual earnings growth for at least the next five years.\nAfter nearly two decades in business, Facebook continues to expand its market share and reassert its dominance of the social media sphere. This is a premium stock you can hold onto through both market highs and lows, one that can generate consistent growth and maximize your portfolio returns.\n2. AbbVie\nHealthcare stock AbbVie (NYSE:ABBV) is another golden egg to have in your basket before the next market crash rolls around. AbbVie spun off from Abbott Laboratories in 2013, and its former parent company is a veteran member of the elite stock club known as Dividend Aristocrats.\nStocks that snag the title of Dividend Aristocrats must raise their dividend for 25 consecutive years, and Abbott has done so for nearly 50. As a spinoff of Abbott, AbbVie is also considered a member of the Dividend Aristocrat club. It yields a robust 4.5% for investors at the time of this writing.\nThe biggest concern some investors have about AbbVie is the looming loss of U.S. patent protection for its blockbuster drug Humira in 2023. Humira is an immunosuppressive drug used to treat a range of conditions from arthritis to Crohn's disease. It raked in more sales than any other drug in the entire world in 2020 -- amassing total net revenues just shy of $20 billion during the 12-month period.\nThere's no doubt that AbbVie's balance sheet will reflect the loss of Humira's patent exclusivity in the U.S. in a few years. We need only look to AbbVie's loss of patent exclusivity in Europe -- which largely took effect in October 2018 -- as an example of this.\nCase in point: International sales of Humira were down 14% in 2020, but still totaled nearly $4 billion. In short, heightened competition in the U.S. will certainly detract from Humira's sales come 2023, but that doesn't mean that sales of the drug can't still inject healthy growth into AbbVie's balance sheet over the long term.\nIt's also important to note that AbbVie has a rock-star portfolio of top-selling drugs besides Humira. These include plaque psoriasis drug Skyrizi, cancer drugs Imbruvica and Venclexta, and rheumatoid arthritis drug Rinvoq. Moreover, AbbVie's acquisition of Allergan last year ushered well-known product names like Botox into its portfolio of lucrative products.\nAbbVie's first-quarter 2021 revenues of $13 billion represented a huge 51% increase from the year-ago period. Breaking AbbVie's first-quarter performance down by its top business segments -- immunology, hematologic oncology, aesthetics (which includes Botox Cosmetic), and neuroscience (which includes Botox Therapeutic) -- these four divisions marked respective year-over-year revenue growth of 13%, 8%, 35%, and 100%.\nIf you're looking for steady portfolio growth and attractive dividend income to anchor your portfolio in the next market storm, AbbVie offers shareholders the unbeatable combination of both.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":133,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":165033430,"gmtCreate":1624079708020,"gmtModify":1703828445739,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow nice","listText":"Wow nice","text":"Wow nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/165033430","repostId":"2144086770","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2144086770","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1624062134,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2144086770?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-19 08:22","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Largest Boeing 737 MAX model takes off on maiden flight","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2144086770","media":"Reuters","summary":"RENTON, Wash., June 18 (Reuters) - Boeing Co's 737 MAX 10, the largest member of its best-selling si","content":"
RENTON, Wash., June 18 (Reuters) - Boeing Co's 737 MAX 10, the largest member of its best-selling single-aisle airplane family, took off on its maiden flight on Friday, in a further step toward recovering from the safety grounding of a smaller model.
\n
The plane completed a roughly 2-1/2-hour flight over Washington State, returning to Renton Municipal Airport near Seattle at 12:38 p.m.
\n
The first flight heralds months of testing and safety certification work before the jet is expected to enter service in 2023.
\n
In an unusual departure from the PR buzz surrounding first flights, the event was kept low-key as Boeing tries to navigate overlapping crises caused by a 20-month grounding in the wake of two crashes and the COVID-19 pandemic.
\n
Boeing's 230-seat 737-10 is designed to close the gap between its 178-to-220-seat 737-9, and Airbus's 185-to-240-seat A321neo, which dominates the top end of the narrowbody jet market, worth some $3.5 trillion over 20 years.
\n
However, the market opportunity for the 737 MAX 10 is constrained by the jet's range of about 3,300 nautical miles (6,100 km), which falls short of the A321neo's roughly 4,000 nm.
\n
Boeing must also complete safety certification of the plane under a tougher regulatory climate following two fatal crashes of a smaller 737 MAX version grounded the model for nearly two years - with a safety ban still in place in China.
\n
Boeing has carried out design and training changes on the MAX family, which returned to U.S. operations in December.
\n
Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stan Deal said the company is producing about 16 737 MAX jets a month at its Renton factory.
\n
Boeing is working on safety enhancements for the 737 MAX 10, including for its air data indication system and adding a third cockpit indication requested by European regulators of the \"angle of attack,\" a parameter needed to avoid stalling or losing lift. Although sources say United is weighing a new order for at least 100 or even up to 200 MAX, its requirement for large single-aisles will be served by Airbus - reinforcing the market split.\nThe flight, watched by dozens of employees but virtually no visitors as Boeing sought to downplay the event, showcased a revamped landing gear system illustrating an industry battle to squeeze as much mileage as possible out of the current generation of single-aisles.\nIt raises the landing gear's height during take-off and landing, a design needed to compensate for the MAX 10's extra length and prevent the tail scraping the runway on take-off.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":98,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":166136573,"gmtCreate":1623995688492,"gmtModify":1703826068176,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow nice ","listText":"Wow nice ","text":"Wow nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/166136573","repostId":"1167971135","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1167971135","pubTimestamp":1623927627,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1167971135?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-17 19:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"This fast-food stock is beating McDonald’s this year and RBC says it’s not too late to catch the rally","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1167971135","media":"cnbc","summary":"Jack in the Box could be set to significantly expand its footprint and drive its stock higher, accor","content":"
\n
Jack in the Box could be set to significantly expand its footprint and drive its stock higher, according to RBC Capital Markets.\nShares of the company have gained 27% year to date, outperforming ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Fans like it for a number of reasons including the fact it underpins many other cryptocurrencies, but it’s yet to be adopted by private institutions in the way that bitcoin has been.\nIt’s important to note that ether’s market cap is less than half that of bitcoin’s, but trading volumes for the smaller coin surged to $600 billion in May — 60% higher than bitcoin volumes, according to Morgan Stanley.\nThere are some key reasons for the outperformance of ether, according to the investment bank, which updated its views on crypto in a note last week.\nEnergy usage\nOne key factor to consider when looking at why ether is currently outperforming bitcoin is energy usage.\n“ETH is considered more ‘green’ than bitcoin,” Morgan Stanley strategist Sheena Shah and equity analysts James Faucette and Betsy Graseck wrote in the note.\nCrypto miners use purpose-built computers to solve complex mathematical equations that effectively enable a coin transaction to go through. The miners are rewarded for their efforts in whatever the coin is that they’re mining. However, the entire process, known as proof of work, is energy intensive because of the amount of power used by the computers.\nTo slash ether’s electricity usage, the Ethereum Foundation is transitioning its process for approving transactions to proof of stake instead of proof of work.\nIn theory, this means all someone will need to become a validator on the network is proof that they hold some ether, or a “stake.” Ultimately, it should remove the need for vast amounts of computing power needed to validate transactions and the Ethereum Foundation claims it will use more than 99.9% less energy than before.\n“Increasing worries about bitcoin’s energy usage made ether relatively more attractive as PoW doesn’t use as much energy to run, at the expense of the security of the transaction,” the Morgan Stanley experts wrote.\nIt’s worth noting there are other coins that already run on proof of stake networks, such as Cardano and Algorand.\nCoins could be destroyed\nEther also has a new “money supply plan” coming in July that will change the way miners are paid, and make ether scarcer.\n“An upgrade to the protocol is expected (called EIP-1559) where the fees that miners are currently paid (in ETH) will be ‘burned’ instead of being given to miners,” wrote the Morgan Stanley analysts. “ETH money supply will be destroyed, increasing its scarcity.”\nDecentralized finance\nOther cryptocurrencies beyond ether also rely on ethereum’s blockchain, which is a growing list of records, called blocks, that are linked together using cryptography.\nIndeed, the vast majority of so-called decentralized finance still runs on the ethereum blockchain, the Morgan Stanley analysts noted.\nBut new competitors are launching, and ethereum is no longer the go-to blockchain for cryptocurrency creators. “Most new coins opted to use an existing blockchain, which until a year ago was mostly ethereum,” said the analysts.\n“Ethereum transaction fees were rising quickly this year as more and more digital assets used the blockchain, hitting the limits of the way ethereum is currently set up to handle transactions,” they added.\nBinance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, built the Binance Smart Chain and made it relatively easy for creators of existing ethereum-based coins to port their coin to the BSC.\nBitcoin’s carbon footprint\nBitcoin has come under significant pressure in recent months amid a growing awareness of its energy usable.\nIt has a carbon footprint comparable to that of New Zealand, producing 36.95 megatons of CO2 annually, according to Digiconomist. This is a major cause for concern in countries around the world which are currently trying to cut their carbon emissions and mitigate climate change.\nTesla CEO Elon Musk said last month that his electric car company will stop accepting bitcoin as a form of payment because of environmental concerns, causing the price of bitcoin to drop 5% in a matter of minutes.Although, he said this week Tesla will start accepting bitcoin again as long as miners use more clean energy.\nMeanwhile China, which has some of the cheapest electricity in the world, is imposing strict new regulations on bitcoin mining. When the Chinese Communist Party said it would “crack down on bitcoin mining and trading behavior” in May the price of bitcoin fell 25% in a few days.\n“China’s crackdown seems tied to China’s newly stated efforts to reduce carbon emissions, with approximately two-thirds to three-quarters of bitcoin mining thought to be done in China, a substantial portion of which uses electricity from coal powered plants,” the analysts wrote.\nThey noted that bitcoin miners in the country are now in the process of moving elsewhere (to use other energy sources) or cashing out, which has not helped prices.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":326,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":161569544,"gmtCreate":1623935343488,"gmtModify":1703823873151,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/161569544","repostId":"2143797875","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2143797875","pubTimestamp":1623916380,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2143797875?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-17 15:53","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Up 190% in a Year, Is Shift4 Payments Stock a Buy?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2143797875","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"This hospitality-industry payments specialist could be a great bet on a reopening economy.","content":"
Shift4 Payments (NYSE:FOUR) has been a wild success since its initial public offering in June 2020. As of this writing, shares are up nearly 190% since their debut -- an impressive feat considering this digital payments company's niches are restaurants and hospitality, industries deeply affected by the pandemic.
\n
But those areas of the economy are making a comeback, and Shift4 is, too. There's plenty of optimism baked into the company's current valuation, but this emerging digital payments leader is nonetheless worth a look.
\n
Not (quite) firing on all cylinders
\n
On the surface, it appeared Shift4 had a pretty good first quarter of 2021. Total payment volume was up 30% year over year to $8 billion, lapping the first two months of pre-pandemic 2020 when payment volume notched more than 50% growth from 2019. As a result, revenue (less card-network transaction fees) was up 23% to $97.5 million.
\n
But here's the rub: Though Shift4 is back in growth mode, many of its customers in the restaurant and hospitality industry aren't back to normal yet. In fact, just the opposite. During the first few months of the year, management commented that many users of its payment system were still suffering because of occupancy restrictions and were well below peak transaction levels from a couple of years ago.
\n
One multi-location specialty retailer closed its doors, and CEO Jared Isaacman said the sudden closure affected Shift4's adjusted EBITDA by $5.2 million during the period. For the record, total adjusted EBITDA was positive $22.2 million in the first quarter.
\n
So how is Shift4 back in growth mode? It's picking up lots of new customers in its key markets, and has begun to expand into new ones as well. Its simplified payment-acceptance solutions are resonating with restaurateurs, hotel operators, and other specialty venues (like the new concessions and retail customer Petco Field in San Diego, home of the Padres professional baseball team).
\n
Shift4's acquisition last autumn of 3dcart (now Shift4Shop), a provider of online-store management software, is also doing well. Shift4Shop competes with offerings from the likes of Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) and Wix.com (NASDAQ:WIX), and is more than holding its own. At the time of purchase, there were 14,000 stores using 3dcart, and Shift4 has added over 21,000 more since then.
\n
This underscores the brewing rebound that has sent Shift4 stock higher in its first year as a publicly traded company. New customers are helping it stay in growth mode, and existing customers are only just beginning to recover from pandemic effects. Isaacson and company thus upgraded full-year 2021 guidance, calling for total payment volume of at least $44 billion (up 81% from 2020), revenue less network fees of at least $480 million (up 49%), and adjusted EBITDA of at least $165 million (up 88%).
\n
Is it too late to buy this post-pandemic play?
\n
As of the end of March, Shift4 had $845 million in cash and equivalents and another $16 million in investment securities, offset by total debt of $1.12 billion. It isn't the strongest balance sheet in the digital payments space, but this small company is nevertheless in good shape to continue its aggressive expansion. Free cash flow (excluding acquisitions) was still in the red during the first quarter at negative $21.8 million, but business is headed in the right direction again as the economy gradually reopens.
\n
Shift4's current market cap is $7.8 billion, valuing the business at 16 times expected 2021 revenue (less network fees) and 47 times expected adjusted EBITDA. Cheap growth stock? Not exactly, especially not after the stock's 190% run over the last year has priced in the Shift4 business rally already. To really keep the momentum going, the company will need to prove that it can keep carving out a niche for itself in its targeted specialty-retail corner of the payments universe beyond 2021 and into 2022.
\n
Nevertheless, this fintech stock has proved itself resilient since the IPO last summer and has a promising growth story in the years ahead as businesses navigate a post-pandemic digital-first world. I'm personally not buying right at the moment, but shares are on my \"reopening economy stocks\" watch list after the first-quarter 2021 update.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":293,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":129806227,"gmtCreate":1624368052369,"gmtModify":1703834535259,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/129806227","repostId":"1158992528","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":445,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":165033430,"gmtCreate":1624079708020,"gmtModify":1703828445739,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow nice","listText":"Wow nice","text":"Wow nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/165033430","repostId":"2144086770","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2144086770","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1624062134,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2144086770?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-19 08:22","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Largest Boeing 737 MAX model takes off on maiden flight","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2144086770","media":"Reuters","summary":"RENTON, Wash., June 18 (Reuters) - Boeing Co's 737 MAX 10, the largest member of its best-selling si","content":"
Breaking AbbVie's first-quarter performance down by its top business segments -- immunology, hematologic oncology, aesthetics (which includes Botox Cosmetic), and neuroscience (which includes Botox Therapeutic) -- these four divisions marked respective year-over-year revenue growth of 13%, 8%, 35%, and 100%.\nIf you're looking for steady portfolio growth and attractive dividend income to anchor your portfolio in the next market storm, AbbVie offers shareholders the unbeatable combination of both.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":133,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":166136573,"gmtCreate":1623995688492,"gmtModify":1703826068176,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow nice ","listText":"Wow nice ","text":"Wow nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/166136573","repostId":"1167971135","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":254,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":166139805,"gmtCreate":1623995424707,"gmtModify":1703826061695,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/166139805","repostId":"2144495197","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":214,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":166197603,"gmtCreate":1623995322702,"gmtModify":1703826058740,"author":{"id":"3581591880603790","authorId":"3581591880603790","name":"CkSck","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581591880603790","authorIdStr":"3581591880603790"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/166197603","repostId":"2144217907","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2144217907","pubTimestamp":1623992556,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2144217907?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-18 13:02","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Apple Supplier Biel Weighs Up to $2 Billion Hong Kong IPO","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2144217907","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"CICC, HSBC and JPMorgan are working with Biel on the offering\nThe cover glass maker plans to submit ","content":"
\n
CICC, HSBC and JPMorgan are working with Biel on the offering
\n
The cover glass maker plans to submit IPO filing soon
\n
\n
Biel Crystal Manufactory Ltd., a supplier of cover glass to Apple Inc., is planning a Hong Kong initial public offering that could raise as much as $2 billion, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
\n
The maker of touch screens is working with China International Capital Corp., HSBC Holdings Plc and JPMorgan Chase & Co. on the offering, the people said. Fans like it for a number of reasons including the fact it underpins many other cryptocurrencies, but it’s yet to be adopted by private institutions in the way that bitcoin has been.\nIt’s important to note that ether’s market cap is less than half that of bitcoin’s, but trading volumes for the smaller coin surged to $600 billion in May — 60% higher than bitcoin volumes, according to Morgan Stanley.\nThere are some key reasons for the outperformance of ether, according to the investment bank, which updated its views on crypto in a note last week.\nEnergy usage\nOne key factor to consider when looking at why ether is currently outperforming bitcoin is energy usage.\n“ETH is considered more ‘green’ than bitcoin,” Morgan Stanley strategist Sheena Shah and equity analysts James Faucette and Betsy Graseck wrote in the note.\nCrypto miners use purpose-built computers to solve complex mathematical equations that effectively enable a coin transaction to go through.
As of this writing, shares are up nearly 190% since their debut -- an impressive feat considering this digital payments company's niches are restaurants and hospitality, industries deeply affected by the pandemic.\nBut those areas of the economy are making a comeback, and Shift4 is, too. There's plenty of optimism baked into the company's current valuation, but this emerging digital payments leader is nonetheless worth a look.\nNot (quite) firing on all cylinders\nOn the surface, it appeared Shift4 had a pretty good first quarter of 2021. Total payment volume was up 30% year over year to $8 billion, lapping the first two months of pre-pandemic 2020 when payment volume notched more than 50% growth from 2019. As a result, revenue (less card-network transaction fees) was up 23% to $97.5 million.\nBut here's the rub: Though Shift4 is back in growth mode, many of its customers in the restaurant and hospitality industry aren't back to normal yet. In fact, just the opposite. During the first few months of the year, management commented that many users of its payment system were still suffering because of occupancy restrictions and were well below peak transaction levels from a couple of years ago.\nOne multi-location specialty retailer closed its doors, and CEO Jared Isaacman said the sudden closure affected Shift4's adjusted EBITDA by $5.2 million during the period. For the record, total adjusted EBITDA was positive $22.2 million in the first quarter.\nSo how is Shift4 back in growth mode? It's picking up lots of new customers in its key markets, and has begun to expand into new ones as well. Its simplified payment-acceptance solutions are resonating with restaurateurs, hotel operators, and other specialty venues (like the new concessions and retail customer Petco Field in San Diego, home of the Padres professional baseball team).\nShift4's acquisition last autumn of 3dcart (now Shift4Shop), a provider of online-store management software, is also doing well.
