a number of relatively young traders who are piling into speculative altcoins like dogecoin as the so-called joke asset mints millionaires and draws some concerns about a bubble forming in the nascent crypto complex.</p><p>Musk will host NBC’s late-night live television comedy sketch show, “Saturday Night Live,” this weekend and his coming appearance has already drawn&nbsp;cheers and jeers.</p><p>Musk has been one of the biggest cheerleaders for dogecoin and crypto broadly. The self-appointed “Technoking” of Tesla&nbsp;has been mostly using his massive social media following to pump up the price of doge,&nbsp;tweeting back on April 1&nbsp;that he would use his SpaceX rockets to put a physical Doge coin on the literal moon, echoing the social media goal of taking the coin’s price “to the moon.”</p><p>Beesetti said that she first got involved in dogecoin — she also invests in technology stocks and exchange-traded funds — at the prompting of Musk’s social-media missives from last summer.</p><p>She bought dogecoin when it was trading at 3/10ths of a penny and she kept dollar-cost averaging her position in the digital asset created in 2013 even as it hit around 1 cent last August.</p><p>Musk has become a rallying point for dogecoin holders on sites like Reddit and his coming appearance on “SNL” is a hotly anticipated moment inside and outside crypto markets, which had largely been centered on bitcoin&nbsp;and Ethereum&nbsp;,the two largest cryptos in the world.</p><p>Dogecoin has long held the reputation as a joke currency in the digital-asset realm but it is hard to deny that its surging value has gripped Main Street and Wall Street’s attention — at least momentarily.</p><p>Former “SNL” cast member and comedian David Spade on Thursday tweeted that he wondered if Musk’s appearance on the sketch show would equate to a 90-minute infomercial for doge, adding, perhaps tongue in cheek that he was buying dogecoin.</p><p>Oddsmakers at betting platformSportsBettingDime.com&nbsp;have established a number of prop bets about Musk’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” including which if any crypto he mentions first on the show.</p><p>Which cryptocurrency does Musk mention first:</p><p>1. Does Not Mention Bitcoin: +400</p><p>Beesetti said that she sold about $8,000 worth of dogecoin recently to buy a pair of Gucci shoes, an iPhone and upped her position in Ether thar runs on the Ethereum protocol but has otherwise been a steady holder of doge.</p><p>The investor wouldn’t offer specific figures but said that her holdings currently range from 50,000 to 100,000 dogecoin.</p><p>Perhaps unlike some investors in doge, she is under no illusion that it has utility but submits to the possibility that momentum could build in a parody asset to such an extent that it forges its own legitimacy.</p><p>“Doge doesn’t have intrinsic value,” Beesetti said. “The value becomes real if you and a collective group of people believe in it. And in this case, there are more groups and people than before who believe.”</p><p>That said, reality could hit meme coin holders hard come Sunday morning, at least one analyst said.</p><p>“Post-SNL, some crypto traders could abandon short-term&nbsp;Dogecoin&nbsp;bets once it becomes clear that it is not skyrocketing to the moon or at the heavily eyed $1 level,” wrote Edward Moya, senior market analyst at Oanda, in a research note.</p><p>The analyst also notes that strong conviction of dogecoin investors,known as hodlers in the crypto world, could defy logic and keep prices buoyant.</p><p>“The retail-army of traders that have been committed to Doge might remain stubbornly hodlers, so we shouldn’t be surprised if a sell the event reaction does not happen,” the Oanda strategist said.</p><p>How it all plays out for dogecoin is anyone’s guess.</p><p>“It’s just a meme currency but sometimes the most entertaining outcome becomes the reality,” Beesetti said.</p><p>That meme currency has enjoyed a spectacular ride compared against most other assets. AT&amp;T: High dividends are calling</b></h2><p>AT&amp;T is a Dividend Aristocrat that has been a bargain this year, but it may not stay that way for long. The telecommunications giant has lagged the <b>S&amp;P 500</b> index and is up a little more than 5% over the past 12 months, but up more than 9% in 2021. The company has raised its dividend for 36 consecutive years and currently has a yield of 6.64%.</p><p>Revenue was a reported $43.9 billion in the first quarter of 2021, up 2.7% year over year. Net income grew to $7.9 billion, up 60% over the same period in 2020, and the company's free cash flow was listed as $5.9 billion, up 51% year over year. The dividend payout is safe, with a ratio of 63.5%.</p><p>All three segments of the company's business have seen growth. In communications, the company had 64.8 million postpaid phone subscribers, up 0.76% sequentially. Revenue was $28.1 billion, up 5.2% year over year. The WarnerMedia segment had revenue of $8.5 billion, up 9.8% year over year. The company's Latin America segment had $1.3 billion in revenue compared to $1.28 billion in the same quarter of 2020.</p><p>The biggest concern about AT&amp;T is its debt. It has $160.6 billion in long-term debt, up 4% sequentially. Its annualized net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA is 3.13, compared to 2.63 last year. On the first-quarter earnings call, CFO Pascal Desroches said that the company plans to focus on paying down that debt this year.</p><h2><b>2. W.P. Carey: A raise every quarter</b></h2><p>W.P. Carey has seen its stock rise more than 24% over the past 12 months and more than 7% this year. The company's dividend offers a yield of 5.6%, with a twist: The company has raised its dividend for 79 consecutive quarters, including a bump from $1.046 to $1.048 per share in March. The diversified real estate investment trust (REIT) has 1,274 properties across 25 countries, including industrial, warehouse, retail, office, and self-storage properties.</p><p>The company has seen growth in adjusted funds from operations (AFFO) the past three quarters, though its fourth-quarter AFFO of $212.6 million is down 4% year over year. Its AFFO in 2020 was $4.74 per diluted share, down 5.2% from 2019. The company was pretty much unfazed by the pandemic -- its low came when it received 96% of contractual rent in May, but in the fourth quarter, that number was back up to 99%, followed by 98% in January.</p><p>It has not only raised its quarterly dividend for 23 consecutive years, but its AFFO payout ratio (trailing 12 months) is 88.19, conservative for a REIT.</p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b9522ac8783b80e9beb8eb160a591309\" tg-width=\"720\" tg-height=\"486\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\">Data by YCharts.</p><h2><b>3. Sabra Healthcare: A growing trend that's hard to ignore</b></h2><p>Sabra Healthcare, a REIT that specializes in medical facilities, cut its dividend last year from $0.45 to $0.30, and has yet to raise it again. But even with that trim, the yield on the company's dividend it 6.6%. The pandemic made for a challenging year for REITs that focus on nursing homes, and Sabra -- which owns nursing homes, senior living facilities, and specialty hospitals -- is continuing to deal with the headwinds. Many people are still reluctant to live in nursing homes, and in the fourth quarter, total occupancy&nbsp;dropped to 80.2%, down 8.6% year over year.</p><p>Other discouraging numbers: The company's AFFO per share for the year was $1.74, down from $2.08 the year before. And for the fourth quarter, the company issued bleak guidance of $0.38-$0.39 of AFFO per share, compared to $0.42 in the fourth quarter of 2020.</p><p>So why is Sabra worth watching? I think the paltry 4% rise in the company's stock this year presents an opportunity because the company's fundamentals are still strong. Sabra collected 99% of its rents from the beginning of the pandemic through February of 2021. As for the dividend, it is well covered with a payout ratio of 73% of normalized AFFO per share. The company also did a good job of lowering its debt, knocking down its net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA ratio from 5.7 to 4.9.</p><p>The long-term prognosis for nursing homes is still a growth trend, as our population continues to age. The pandemic reversed the growth of occupancy for nursing homes, but not forever. In the meantime, the company's dividend is a nice reward for waiting for a turnaround.</p><h2><b>4. Williams Companies: A boon to investors</b></h2><p>Williams Companies' stock is up more than 31% over the past 12 months, and more than 21% this year. The company's dividend, which offers a current yield of 6.73% is enticing. The company has raised its dividend the past five years.</p><p>The company delivers 30% of the country's natural gas through its more than 30,000 miles of pipelines. Last year was a difficult <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> for oil and gas companies, with oil and natural gas prices down, but Williams Companies still improved its numbers over 2019 by reducing capital expenditures. Its adjusted EBITDA of $5.1 million was up 2% year over year, while its adjusted funds from operations of $3.6 million were up 1% year over year. Net income grew to $7.9 billion, up 60% over the same period in 2020, and the company's free cash flow was listed as $5.9 billion, up 51% year over year. The dividend payout is safe, with a ratio of 63.5%.All three segments of the company's business have seen growth. In communications, the company had 64.8 million postpaid phone subscribers, up 0.76% sequentially. Revenue was $28.1 billion, up 5.2% year over year. The WarnerMedia segment had revenue of $8.5 billion, up 9.8% year over year. The company's Latin America segment had $1.3 billion in revenue compared to $1.28 billion in the same quarter of 2020.The biggest concern about AT&T is its debt. It has $160.6 billion in long-term debt, up 4% sequentially. Its annualized net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA is 3.13, compared to 2.63 last year. On the first-quarter earnings call, CFO Pascal Desroches said that the company plans to focus on paying down that debt this year.2. W.P. Carey: A raise every quarterW.P. Carey has seen its stock rise more than 24% over the past 12 months and more than 7% this year. The company's dividend offers a yield of 5.6%, with a twist: The company has raised its dividend for 79 consecutive quarters, including a bump from $1.046 to $1.048 per share in March. The diversified real estate investment trust (REIT) has 1,274 properties across 25 countries, including industrial, warehouse, retail, office, and self-storage properties.The company has seen growth in adjusted funds from operations (AFFO) the past three quarters, though its fourth-quarter AFFO of $212.6 million is down 4% year over year. Its AFFO in 2020 was $4.74 per diluted share, down 5.2% from 2019. The company was pretty much unfazed by the pandemic -- its low came when it received 96% of contractual rent in May, but in the fourth quarter, that number was back up to 99%, followed by 98% in January.It has not only raised its quarterly dividend for 23 consecutive years, but its AFFO payout ratio (trailing 12 months) is 88.19, conservative for a REIT.Data by YCharts.3. Sabra Healthcare: A growing trend that's hard to ignoreSabra Healthcare, a REIT that specializes in medical facilities, cut its dividend last year from $0.45 to $0.30, and has yet to raise it again. But even with that trim, the yield on the company's dividend it 6.6%. The pandemic made for a challenging year for REITs that focus on nursing homes, and Sabra -- which owns nursing homes, senior living facilities, and specialty hospitals -- is continuing to deal with the headwinds. Many people are still reluctant to live in nursing homes, and in the fourth quarter, total occupancy dropped to 80.2%, down 8.6% year over year.Other discouraging numbers: The company's AFFO per share for the year was $1.74, down from $2.08 the year before. And for the fourth quarter, the company issued bleak guidance of $0.38-$0.39 of AFFO per share, compared to $0.42 in the fourth quarter of 2020.So why is Sabra worth watching? I think the paltry 4% rise in the company's stock this year presents an opportunity because the company's fundamentals are still strong. Sabra collected 99% of its rents from the beginning of the pandemic through February of 2021. As for the dividend, it is well covered with a payout ratio of 73% of normalized AFFO per share. The company also did a good job of lowering its debt, knocking down its net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA ratio from 5.7 to 4.9.The long-term prognosis for nursing homes is still a growth trend, as our population continues to age. The pandemic reversed the growth of occupancy for nursing homes, but not forever. In the meantime, the company's dividend is a nice reward for waiting for a turnaround.4. Williams Companies: A boon to investorsWilliams Companies' stock is up more than 31% over the past 12 months, and more than 21% this year. The company's dividend, which offers a current yield of 6.73% is enticing. The company has raised its dividend the past five years.The company delivers 30% of the country's natural gas through its more than 30,000 miles of pipelines. Last year was a difficult one for oil and gas companies, with oil and natural gas prices down, but Williams Companies still improved its numbers over 2019 by reducing capital expenditures. Its adjusted EBITDA of $5.1 million was up 2% year over year, while its adjusted funds from operations of $3.6 million were up 1% year over year. This past weekend, each Bitcoin would set you back around $58,000. That's an insane return in just over a decade.</p><p>Unfortunately, this mountain of momentum that's built up in the crypto space has also given rise to some truly awful digital currencies. <b>Dogecoin</b> (CRYPTO:DOGE) is the perfect example.<img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F624448%2Fsmartphone-invest-robinhood-stock-market-trade-profit-loss-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"></p><p>Image source: Getty Images.</p><h2>The Dogecoin bull thesis can be easily debunked</h2><p>Peruse any of the popular social media boards (Reddit or <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TWTR\">Twitter</a></b>), and you'll get no shortage of reasons why Dogecoin is the greatest possible crypto to buy now. Enthusiasts often cite its lower transaction fees relative to Bitcoin and <b>Ethereum</b> (the No. 1 and 2 in terms of crypto market cap), improving adoption by retailers, and its community as reasons for its current and future success. Unfortunately, every \"catalyst\" for Dogecoin can be very easily debunked.</p><p>For example, Dogecoin does indeed have lower transaction fees than Bitcoin and Ethereum, but they're far from the lowest. While we're on the subject of cherry-picking comparison data, <b>Nano</b>, <b>Ripple</b>, <b>Stellar</b>, <b>Dash</b>, and <b>Litecoin</b>&nbsp;are just some of the cryptos that offer lower transaction fees. Nano, Ripple, Stellar, and Dash also validate and settle transactions faster than Dogecoin. In an arena where the barrier to entry is virtually nonexistent, Dogecoin offers no true competitive advantage on fees or transaction speed.</p><p>As for adoption, online business directory Cryptwerk suggests that around 1,300 companies accept Dogecoin. Nearly all of these businesses are obscure, and Dogecoin has had eight years to develop a following. Managing to be accepted by 1,300 businesses when well over 500 million companies exist worldwide isn't exactly game-changing utility.</p><p>Lastly, the community aspect looks to be built on hype. Without anything tangible to drive Dogecoin's valuation, most \"hodlers\" are waiting on the edge of their seats hoping <b>Tesla</b>'s CEO Elon Musk will mention Dogecoin in a tweet or say its name on an upcoming episode of <i>Saturday Night Live</i>, which he's hosting on May 8. These aren't tangible catalysts. They're the signs of a pump-and-dump asset.</p><h2>This trio of stocks would be a much smarter way to put your money to work</h2><p>Instead of potentially throwing your money away on a digital currency that was created as a joke in 2013, consider putting it to work in the following trio of infinitely smarter stocks.<img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F624448%2Fretail-shopping-store-online-sale-smartphone-website-ecommerce-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"467\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\">Image source: Getty Images.</p><h2>Sea Limited</h2><p>If growth, growth, and more growth is your thing, you're going to love Singapore-based <b>Sea Limited</b> (NYSE:SE). Sea is a bit of a conglomerate in that it has three exceptionally fast-growing operating segments.</p><p>For the time being, the greatest driver of adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is the company's digital entertainment division. This segment, which focuses on mobile gaming, had more than 610 million active users in the fourth quarter, 73.1 million of whom were paying customers. With people stuck in their homes in 2020 due to the pandemic, gaming was a form of release and entertainment. As a result, the company's paying customers grew by 120%.</p><p>Arguably the more important operating segment is e-commerce. Sea's online Shopee platform has consistently been the most popular e-commerce download in Southeast Asia. The combination of people staying home and desiring the convenience of ordering goods online has sent Shopee's growth trajectory into the stratosphere. The amount of gross merchandise value transacted on its network doubled last year to $35.4 billion, with gross orders rising 133% to 2.8 billion. With Shopee making inroads in South America as well, it has aspirations of becoming <b>Amazon</b>&nbsp;2.0.</p><p>Third, Sea offers digital financial services to largely underbanked countries and communities. Last year, it handled $7.8 billion in mobile-wallet payment volume and counted north of 23 million paying customers.</p><p>Sea could realistically quadruple its revenue in four years, which makes it a much smarter bet than Dogecoin.</p><p><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F624448%2Fcannabis-leaf-marijuana-pot-weed-cash-profit-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\">Image source: Getty Images.</p><h2>Trulieve Cannabis</h2><p>U.S. marijuana stocks can also be a source of immense gains this decade. Even if President Joe Biden and his administration fail to pass any cannabis reforms at the federal level, state-level legalizations are providing more than enough growth potential for U.S. multistate operators. That's why <b>Trulieve Cannabis</b> (OTC:TCNNF) could run circles around Dogecoin.</p><p>What allows Trulieve Cannabis to stand out from an increasingly crowded field of marijuana companies is its laser focus on a single state. A little over two weeks ago, the company opened its 85th and 86th dispensaries nationwide. And 81 of these 86 retail locations are in the Sunshine State.</p><p>Instead of planting its flag in as many legalized markets as possible, Trulieve decided to saturate <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> of the largest states by annual cannabis sales. By piling into Florida, it's been able to effectively build up its brand without having to break the bank with marketing costs. Trulieve ended 2020 with a 53% share of the state's dried cannabis market and a 49% share of its oils market. It's worth pointing out that oils are a much higher-margin product and less susceptible to oversupply than dried cannabis.</p><p>Furthermore, Trulieve was profitable long before its peers. It's generated a profit for 12 consecutive quarters and should be profitable on a recurring basis moving forward. Being cash flow positive is a big advantage when it comes to opening new locations and attempting to expand its successful Florida blueprint to other legalized states.</p><p><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F624448%2Fcomputer-data-saas-application-monitoring-enterprise-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"393\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\">Image source: Getty Images.</p><h2>Palantir Technologies</h2><p>A third stock that's an infinitely smarter buy than the hyped-up cryptocurrency Dogecoin is data-mining company <b>Palantir Technologies</b> (NYSE:PLTR).</p><p>Palantir is what you might call a dual threat. It has a platform that's specifically focused on helping the federal government categorize and analyze data (Gotham), and offers data-mining analytics for businesses, too (Foundry). Gotham is primarily used for defense purposes and military missions, whereas Foundry helps businesses visualize their data to make their operations more efficient.</p><p>Last year, Gotham was Palantir's primarily driver. Big military contract wins helped propel full-year sales for the company higher by 45%. But over the long run, Foundry offers more potential. Palantir has only scratched the surface of its potential customer pool for Foundry, and ended 2020 with 24 customers in the Global 300. There's work to be done to gain additional enterprise customers, but there's also a long runway of double-digit growth opportunity.</p><p>The thing to understand about Palantir Technologies' artificial-intelligence-driven platforms is that there's simply nothing else like them. This may be a controversial company given its tie-ins with certain federal agencies, but it's destined to be a moneymaker and a business that can keep growing by 30% or more for the next five years. Even though certain assets or commodities, such as gold and housing, have had short periods when they've outperformed equities, stocks have delivered the greatest and most consistent long-term returns.Then cryptocurrencies came along about a decade ago and completely turned this thesis on its head. Bitcoin, the largest digital currency in the world by market cap, could once be purchased for less than $1 per token. This past weekend, each Bitcoin would set you back around $58,000. That's an insane return in just over a decade.Unfortunately, this mountain of momentum that's built up in the crypto space has also given rise to some truly awful digital currencies. Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) is the perfect example.Image source: Getty Images.The Dogecoin bull thesis can be easily debunkedPeruse any of the popular social media boards (Reddit or Twitter), and you'll get no shortage of reasons why Dogecoin is the greatest possible crypto to buy now. Enthusiasts often cite its lower transaction fees relative to Bitcoin and Ethereum (the No. 1 and 2 in terms of crypto market cap), improving adoption by retailers, and its community as reasons for its current and future success. Unfortunately, every \"catalyst\" for Dogecoin can be very easily debunked.For example, Dogecoin does indeed have lower transaction fees than Bitcoin and Ethereum, but they're far from the lowest. While we're on the subject of cherry-picking comparison data, Nano, Ripple, Stellar, Dash, and Litecoin are just some of the cryptos that offer lower transaction fees. Nano, Ripple, Stellar, and Dash also validate and settle transactions faster than Dogecoin. In an arena where the barrier to entry is virtually nonexistent, Dogecoin offers no true competitive advantage on fees or transaction speed.As for adoption, online business directory Cryptwerk suggests that around 1,300 companies accept Dogecoin. Nearly all of these businesses are obscure, and Dogecoin has had eight years to develop a following. Managing to be accepted by 1,300 businesses when well over 500 million companies exist worldwide isn't exactly game-changing utility.Lastly, the community aspect looks to be built on hype. Without anything tangible to drive Dogecoin's valuation, most \"hodlers\" are waiting on the edge of their seats hoping Tesla's CEO Elon Musk will mention Dogecoin in a tweet or say its name on an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, which he's hosting on May 8. These aren't tangible catalysts. Sea is a bit of a conglomerate in that it has three exceptionally fast-growing operating segments.For the time being, the greatest driver of adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is the company's digital entertainment division. This segment, which focuses on mobile gaming, had more than 610 million active users in the fourth quarter, 73.1 million of whom were paying customers. With people stuck in their homes in 2020 due to the pandemic, gaming was a form of release and entertainment. As a result, the company's paying customers grew by 120%.Arguably the more important operating segment is e-commerce. Sea's online Shopee platform has consistently been the most popular e-commerce download in Southeast Asia. The combination of people staying home and desiring the convenience of ordering goods online has sent Shopee's growth trajectory into the stratosphere. The amount of gross merchandise value transacted on its network doubled last year to $35.4 billion, with gross orders rising 133% to 2.8 billion. With Shopee making inroads in South America as well, it has aspirations of becoming Amazon 2.0.Third, Sea offers digital financial services to largely underbanked countries and communities. Last year, it handled $7.8 billion in mobile-wallet payment volume and counted north of 23 million paying customers.Sea could realistically quadruple its revenue in four years, which makes it a much smarter bet than Dogecoin.Image source: Getty Images.Trulieve CannabisU.S. marijuana stocks can also be a source of immense gains this decade. Even if President Joe Biden and his administration fail to pass any cannabis reforms at the federal level, state-level legalizations are providing more than enough growth potential for U.S. multistate operators. That's why Trulieve Cannabis (OTC:TCNNF) could run circles around Dogecoin.What allows Trulieve Cannabis to stand out from an increasingly crowded field of marijuana companies is its laser focus on a single state. A little over two weeks ago, the company opened its 85th and 86th dispensaries nationwide. And 81 of these 86 retail locations are in the Sunshine State.Instead of planting its flag in as many legalized markets as possible, Trulieve decided to saturate one of the largest states by annual cannabis sales. By piling into Florida, it's been able to effectively build up its brand without having to break the bank with marketing costs. Trulieve ended 2020 with a 53% share of the state's dried cannabis market and a 49% share of its oils market. It's worth pointing out that oils are a much higher-margin product and less susceptible to oversupply than dried cannabis.Furthermore, Trulieve was profitable long before its peers. It's generated a profit for 12 consecutive quarters and should be profitable on a recurring basis moving forward. Being cash flow positive is a big advantage when it comes to opening new locations and attempting to expand its successful Florida blueprint to other legalized states.Image source: Getty Images.Palantir TechnologiesA third stock that's an infinitely smarter buy than the hyped-up cryptocurrency Dogecoin is data-mining company Palantir Technologies (NYSE:PLTR).Palantir is what you might call a dual threat. It has a platform that's specifically focused on helping the federal government categorize and analyze data (Gotham), and offers data-mining analytics for businesses, too (Foundry). Gotham is primarily used for defense purposes and military missions, whereas Foundry helps businesses visualize their data to make their operations more efficient.Last year, Gotham was Palantir's primarily driver. Big military contract wins helped propel full-year sales for the company higher by 45%. But over the long run, Foundry offers more potential. Palantir has only scratched the surface of its potential customer pool for Foundry, and ended 2020 with 24 customers in the Global 300. There's work to be done to gain additional enterprise customers, but there's also a long runway of double-digit growth opportunity.The thing to understand about Palantir Technologies' artificial-intelligence-driven platforms is that there's simply nothing else like them. This may be a controversial company given its tie-ins with certain federal agencies, but it's destined to be a moneymaker and a business that can keep growing by 30% or more for the next five years.
