Two super investors are fighting!\nWhile it may lack the melodrama of the K","content":"
Gather ‘round, everybody! Two super investors are fighting!
\n
While it may lack the melodrama of the Kim and Kanye split, the public spat between Michael Burry, the hedge fund manager who famously bet against the country’s housing market and won, and Cathie Wood, the celebrated head of Ark Invest, adds to an important discussion taking place in the investment space.
\n
Burry, skeptical of its valuation, is currently shorting Ark Invest’s flagship technology exchange-traded fund, Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK). Wood has countered by accusing Burry of not understanding growth in today’s environment.
\n
Wood and Burry have repeatedly proven that they know what they’re talking about. But in this case, they can’t both be right.
\n
Why Burry is shorting ARKK
\n
Michael Burry’s introduction to most of America came in the form of the movie* The Big Short*, which detailed his uncovering of the fraud at the heart of America’s subprime mortgage madness of the mid-2000s. (Burry was played by Christian Bale.)
\n
By shorting the U.S. housing market, the collapse of which he felt was inevitable, Burry generated a reported $700 million for investors and pocketed about $100 million for himself.
\n
Burry’s issue with ARRK is the seemingly unsustainable growth expectations being priced into its valuation.
\n
In a since-deleted tweet from February, Burry compared Wood and ARKK to investor Gary Pilgrim and his PBHG Growth Fund, which soared in the mid-1990s by backing innovative technologies, much like ARKK does.
\n
After the brief explosion in value tech stocks enjoyed in 1999, PBHG Growth fell by 34% in 2001 and another 30% in 2002.
\n
Could ARKK be following the same path? Two super investors are fighting!\nWhile it may lack the melodrama of the Kim and Kanye split, the public spat between Michael Burry, the hedge fund manager who famously bet against the country’s housing market and won, and Cathie Wood, the celebrated head of Ark Invest, adds to an important discussion taking place in the investment space.\nBurry, skeptical of its valuation, is currently shorting Ark Invest’s flagship technology exchange-traded fund, Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK). Wood has countered by accusing Burry of not understanding growth in today’s environment.\nWood and Burry have repeatedly proven that they know what they’re talking about. But in this case, they can’t both be right.\nWhy Burry is shorting ARKK\nMichael Burry’s introduction to most of America came in the form of the movie* The Big Short*, which detailed his uncovering of the fraud at the heart of America’s subprime mortgage madness of the mid-2000s. (Burry was played by Christian Bale.)\nBy shorting the U.S. housing market, the collapse of which he felt was inevitable, Burry generated a reported $700 million for investors and pocketed about $100 million for himself.\nBurry’s issue with ARRK is the seemingly unsustainable growth expectations being priced into its valuation.\nIn a since-deleted tweet from February, Burry compared Wood and ARKK to investor Gary Pilgrim and his PBHG Growth Fund, which soared in the mid-1990s by backing innovative technologies, much like ARKK does.\nAfter the brief explosion in value tech stocks enjoyed in 1999, PBHG Growth fell by 34% in 2001 and another 30% in 2002.\nCould ARKK be following the same path? After increasing by an eye-popping 153% in 2020 on the back of investments in companies like Tesla, Zoom and Shopify, ARKK has produced negative returns this year.\nThe fund is down 4% year to date and has fallen almost 25% since peaking at $156.58 in February. And yet, the fund has drawn in another $6.5 billion in assets this year, according to ETF Stream.\n\"If you know your history, there is a pattern here that can help you,” Burry, who is also shorting Tesla stock, tweeted. “If you don't, you're doomed to repeat it.\"\nThe case for ARKK\nWood politely dismisses Burry's skepticism.\n“To his credit, Michael Burry made a great call based on fundamentals and recognized the calamity brewing in the housing/mortgage market,” wrote Wood in an August 17 tweet. “I do not believe that he understands the fundamentals that are creating explosive growth and investment opportunities in the innovation space.”\nWood went on to tout her belief that the technologies ARK believes and invests in “should transform the world” in the next decade.\n“If we are correct, GDP and revenue growth will diminish until the opportunities in nascent technologies begin to move macro needles. In this environment, innovation based strategies should distinguish themselves.”\nThere’s a good chance Wood will inevitably be proven right. But at their current levels, do the sectors and companies she and ARKK are backing have substantial room to run?\nShark Tank host and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban believes they do. After Burry’s short position in the ARKK fund was made public, Cuban came out in support of ARKK’s investment strategy, particularly its healthy exposure to the artificial intelligence space.\n\"There are 2 kinds of companies in the world: Those who originate their own AI successfully, and everyone else,\" Cuban tweeted. \"The top companies are AI dominate [sic] and running away from their Non-AI competitors. AI's competitive advantage is exponential, but nowhere to be seen on a Balance Sheet.\"\nThe lesson for investors\nWhile Cathie Wood and Michael Burry have different opinions on the future of the ARKK ETF, they both approach the question of the fund’s value the same way: through careful, exhaustive research.\nBurry’s analysis might be more backward-looking and Wood’s more speculative, but they’re both weighing the available evidence and making informed decisions — exactly what successful investors would be expected to do.\nWhether you’re investing for short-term growth or long-term stability, it’s important not to rush out and throw your money around until you’re sufficiently educated about the sectors you hope to round out your portfolio with.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":158,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":810810177,"gmtCreate":1629961540399,"gmtModify":1676530185030,"author":{"id":"3584419265645155","authorId":"3584419265645155","name":"Felxfel","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6ef8ab33539158b79b6c38015226fdcf","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584419265645155","authorIdStr":"3584419265645155"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$FuelCell(FCEL)$I believe u","listText":"$FuelCell(FCEL)$I believe u","text":"$FuelCell(FCEL)$I believe u","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/810810177","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":369,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":810837896,"gmtCreate":1629961493515,"gmtModify":1676530184989,"author":{"id":"3584419265645155","authorId":"3584419265645155","name":"Felxfel","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6ef8ab33539158b79b6c38015226fdcf","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584419265645155","authorIdStr":"3584419265645155"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like n share ","listText":"Like n share ","text":"Like n share","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/810837896","repostId":"1125030506","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1125030506","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1629961067,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1125030506?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-08-26 14:57","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Apple Has 2 Secret Weapons. A pair of research notes from the Street on Wednesday highlight how both areas should provide a material boost to top-line growth in the months and years ahead — while also noting a few associated risks.
\n
In a new report, Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani dove into Apple’s growing opportunity in advertising, and he likes what he found. Daryanani thinks Apple’s ad business can grow to $20 billion in the September 2025 fiscal year, from an estimated $2 billion in fiscal 2020, most of that from App Store ads.
\n
He notes that the projected growth would be similar to that of Amazon’s(AMZN) ad business, which has expanded to about $20 billion from about $3 billion over a four-year span. Daryanani asserts that ads could account for as much as 9% of Apple’s earnings per share in fiscal 2025 if the business hits his target.
\n
“Apple’s advertising business remains an underappreciated lever for upside as we go forward and provides them with a unique way to ensure consumer privacy is upheld, but also further enhance the monetization mechanisms,” Daryanani writes in a research note.
\n
Under Apple’s “App Tracking Transparency” program, apps must ask for permission before tracking user activity across other companies’ apps and websites. The program has been positioned as a privacy measure, but has the secondary effect of shifting more ad dollars to Apple’s own advertising platform.
\n
Daryanani sees the biggest opportunity in shifting the App Store ad platform to content discovery, not just content delivery — ads offer a way for app developers to attract customers, in the same way that Amazon ads help sellers cut through the clutter to lure shoppers. And he sees additional advertising opportunities in Apple Maps and Apple TV+, among other places.
\n
“Advertising is a great growth opportunity for Apple and their tremendous installed base gives them a competitive advantage that they have not effectively exploited in the past,” he adds. “Recent actions indicate this is set to change as Apple looks to capture its fair share of a $1 trillion market.”
\n
Daryanani is not the only analyst that sees potential expansion in the Apple ad business. Earlier this month,Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi wrote a long research note on the same topic; his conclusion was that ads could be a $7 billion to $10 billion business for Apple in fiscal 2023 or 2024. He noted that growth drivers for the Apple ad business include the June addition of search ads in China, higher ad loads, and the introduction of banner ads to the App Store in May. Sacconaghi also pointed out that Apple generates very modest revenue today — likely under $500 million a year — from ads in the Apple News and Stocks apps. Daryanani echoed all of those points in his report.
\n
Meanwhile, in a new note on Wednesday, Sacconaghi turns his attention to Apple’s search relationship with Google, a unit of Alphabet(GOOGL). Google pays Apple a substantial annual fee to be the default search engine on the iPhone — a relationship that has drawn the attention of the Justice Department, which last year filed suit against Google for monopolizing its control of the search market, specifically citing the Apple deal in the complaint.
\n
Neither Apple nor Google has been transparent about the terms of their relationship. Sacconaghi this morning writes that he now thinks Google’s payments to Apple in fiscal 2020 were $10 billion, higher than his previous estimate of $8 billion. And he thinks the payment could jump to $15 billion in fiscal 2021, driving up Apple’s services revenue, and contributing an estimated 9% of Apple’s overall gross profits. He estimates that 39% of Google’s traffic acquisition costs this year will go to Apple, up from an estimated 13% in 2013.
\n
Search is really the largest advertising pool for Apple. Sacconaghi estimates that Apple’s overall revenue from advertising in fiscal 2020 was $12.4 billion – and that $10 billion of that came from the company’s search relationship with Google.
\n
Sacconaghi sees some risk in Apple’s growing connection with Google. For one thing, there is regulatory focus on the situation – although he thinks any conclusion of the Justice Department lawsuit is “years away,” he sees a potential 4% to 5% risk to Apple’s profits from an adverse ruling. He also thinks there is some risk that Google could choose to stop paying Apple, or look to renegotiate the terms of its deal and pay less.
\n
Sacconaghi says Google pays up for the deal in part to ensure Microsoft(MSFT) — the only real rival for Google in search — does not outbid it. But he also says that with payments to Apple likely to approach $20 billion in fiscal 2022, “it is not implausible that Google could revisit its strategy.”
","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Apple Has 2 Secret Weapons. But the company has other levers to drive growth, and not all of them involve hardware.
\n
In particular,Apple(ticker: AAPL) has a substantial and growing opportunity in advertising and search revenue.
The S&P 500 registered its second-best first-half performance since 1998, rising 14.5%.
\n
“It’s been a good quarter,” said Robert Pavlik, senior portfolio manager at Dakota Wealth in Fairfield, Connecticut. “As of last night’s close, the S&P has gained more than 14% year-to-date, topping the Dow and the Nasdaq. That indicates that the stock market is having a broad rally.”
\n
For the month, the bellwether S&P 500 notched its fifth consecutive advance, while the Dow snapped its four-month winning streak to end slightly lower. The Nasdaq also gained ground in June.
\n
This month, investor appetite shifted away from economically sensitive cyclicals in favor of growth stocks.
\n
“Leading sectors year-to-date are what you’d expect,” Pavlik added. “Energy, financials and industrials, and that speaks to an economic environment that’s in the early stages of a cycle.”
\n
“(Investors) started the switch back to growth (stocks) after people started to buy in to (Fed Chair Jerome) Powell’s comments that focus on transitory inflation,” Pavlik added.
\n
“Some of the reopening trades have gotten a bit long in the tooth and that’s leading people back to growth.”
\n
(Graphic: Growths stocks outperform value in June, narrow YTD gap, )
\n
“The overall stock market continues to be on a tear, with very consistent gains for quite some time,” said Tim Ghriskey, chief investment strategist at Inverness Counsel in New York. “Valuations, while certainly high by historical standards, have been at a fairly consistent level, benefiting from the economic recovery.”
\n
The private sector added 692,000 jobs in June, breezing past expectations, according to payroll processor ADP. The S&P 500 registered its second-best first-half performance since 1998, rising 14.5%.\n“It’s been a good quarter,” said Robert Pavlik, senior portfolio manager at Dakota Wealth in Fairfield, Connecticut. “As of last night’s close, the S&P has gained more than 14% year-to-date, topping the Dow and the Nasdaq. That indicates that the stock market is having a broad rally.”\nFor the month, the bellwether S&P 500 notched its fifth consecutive advance, while the Dow snapped its four-month winning streak to end slightly lower. The Nasdaq also gained ground in June.\nThis month, investor appetite shifted away from economically sensitive cyclicals in favor of growth stocks.\n“Leading sectors year-to-date are what you’d expect,” Pavlik added. “Energy, financials and industrials, and that speaks to an economic environment that’s in the early stages of a cycle.”\n“(Investors) started the switch back to growth (stocks) after people started to buy in to (Fed Chair Jerome) Powell’s comments that focus on transitory inflation,” Pavlik added.\n“Some of the reopening trades have gotten a bit long in the tooth and that’s leading people back to growth.”\n(Graphic: Growths stocks outperform value in June, narrow YTD gap, )\n“The overall stock market continues to be on a tear, with very consistent gains for quite some time,” said Tim Ghriskey, chief investment strategist at Inverness Counsel in New York. “Valuations, while certainly high by historical standards, have been at a fairly consistent level, benefiting from the economic recovery.”\nThe private sector added 692,000 jobs in June, breezing past expectations, according to payroll processor ADP. The number is 92,000 higher than the private payroll adds economists predict from the Labor Department’s more comprehensive employment report due on Friday.\nThe Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 210.22 points, or 0.61%, to 34,502.51, the S&P 500 gained 5.7 points, or 0.13%, to 4,297.5 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 24.38 points, or 0.17%, to 14,503.95.\nAmong the 11 major sectors in the S&P, six ended the session higher, with energy enjoying the biggest percentage gain. Real estate was the day’s biggest loser.\nBoeing Co gained 1.6% after Germany’s defense ministry announced it would buy five of the planemaker’s P-8A maritime control aircraft, coming on the heels of United Airlines unveiling its largest-ever order for new planes.\nWalmart jumped 2.7% after announcing on Tuesday that it would start selling a prescription-only insulin analog.\nMicron Technology advanced 2.5% ahead of its quarterly earnings release, but was relatively unchanged in after-hours trading following the chipmaker’s quarterly results.\nAdvancing issues outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a 1.35-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.19-to-1 ratio favored decliners.\nThe S&P 500 posted 20 new 52-week highs and no new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 70 new highs and 36 new lows.\nVolume on U.S. exchanges was 10.85 billion shares, compared with the 11.05 billion average over the last 20 trading days.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":87,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":810819073,"gmtCreate":1629961592992,"gmtModify":1676530185023,"author":{"id":"3584419265645155","authorId":"3584419265645155","name":"Felxfel","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6ef8ab33539158b79b6c38015226fdcf","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584419265645155","authorIdStr":"3584419265645155"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Pls like","listText":"Pls like","text":"Pls like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/810819073","repostId":"1101434650","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1101434650","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1629949408,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1101434650?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-08-26 11:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"The 'Big Short' guy and star stock picker Cathie Wood are feuding — here's why","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1101434650","media":"MoneyWise","summary":"Gather ‘round, everybody! That's because the Oracle of Omaha's track record is virtually unsurpassed. Since taking the reins of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A)(NYSE:BRK.B) in the mid-1960s, Buffett's company has averaged an annual return of 20%. This works out to an aggregate gain of greater than 2,800,000% for its Class A shares.
\n
Although Buffett isn't perfect, he and his investing team have a knack for identifying attractively valued businesses that have clear competitive advantages. As we prepare to move into the second half of 2021, the following five Buffett stocks stand out as those that should be bought hand over fist.
\n
Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. Image source: The Motley Fool.
\n
Amazon
\n
Even though Buffett's investing lieutenants, Todd Combs and Ted Weschler, are the architects behind Berkshire Hathaway's stake in Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), it's arguably the Buffett stock that should be bought most aggressively ahead of the second half of the year.
\n
As most folks probably know, Amazon is an e-commerce juggernaut. Based on an April report from eMarketer, the company effectively controls $0.40 of every $1 spent online in the United States. It's also pivoted its online retail popularity into signing up more than 200 million people to its Prime program worldwide. The fees Amazon collects from Prime help it to undercut its competition on price. And it certainly doesn't hurt that Prime members tend to spend many multiples more than non-Prime shoppers during the course of the year.
\n
But it's the company's cloud infrastructure service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), that has truly budded into a star. Since the operating margins associated with cloud infrastructure are considerably higher than what Amazon nets from retail and advertising, AWS' growth is leading to a surge in operating cash flow. If investors were to continue to pay the midpoint of Amazon's operating cash flow multiple over the past decade, it could hit $10,000 a share by 2025.
\n
\n
Bristol Myers Squibb
\n
Pharmaceutical stocks are money machines, and none looks to be more attractive on a valuation basis than Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY).
\n
One reason to be excited about this drug developer is its organic growth potential. Eliquis, which was co-developed with Pfizer, has blossomed into the world's leading oral anticoagulant, with sales expected to surpass $10 billion in 2021. Meanwhile, dozens of additional clinical trials are underway for cancer immunotherapy Opdivo, which generated $7 billion in sales last year. This offers plenty of opportunity to expand Opdivo's label and pump up its pricing power.
\n
Another reason Bristol Myers Squibb is such an intriguing stock is its November 2019 acquisition of cancer and immunology company Celgene. Buying Celgene brought the blockbuster multiple-myeloma drug Revlimid into the fold. Revlimid has sustainably grown its annual sales by a double-digit percentage for more than a decade, with label expansion, longer duration of use, and pricing power all playing a role. This key treatment, which topped $12 billion in sales last year, is protected from a full onslaught of generic competition until early 2026. That means Bristol Myers will be rolling in the dough for another five years, at minimum.
\n
\n
Mastercard
\n
Everyone seems to be looking for the smartest recovery play from the pandemic. Payment processor Mastercard (NYSE:MA) might well be the safest way to take advantage of a steady uptick in consumer and enterprise spending.
\n
Mastercard isn't a cheap stock by any means -- at 36 times Wall Street's forward-year earnings consensus -- but it benefits from a simple numbers game. While economic contractions and recessions are inevitable, these periods of turbulence tend to be short-lived. By comparison, economic expansions often last many years. Buying into Mastercard allows investors to take full advantage of these long periods of economic expansion and robust spending. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Mastercard has the second-highest share of credit-card network purchase volume in the U.S., the leading market for consumption.
\n
Investors can also sleep easy with the understanding that Mastercard strictly sticks to payment facilitation. Even though some of its peers also lend, and are therefore able to generate interest income and fees during bull markets, Mastercard has avoided becoming a lender. It's something you'll truly appreciate when a recession strikes. Whereas most financial stocks will be forced to set aside capital to cover credit or loan delinquencies, Mastercard won't have to. This is a big reason it bounces back from recessions quicker than most financial stocks.
\n
\n
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries
\n
If you have an appetite for turnaround plays, brand-name and generic-drug developer Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE:TEVA) is the stock to buy hand over fist for the second half of 2021. Like Amazon, it's a stock that was added to Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio by either Combs or Weschler and not Buffett.
\n
While there's no denying that Teva has its fair share of hurdles to overcome, the company's turnaround-focused CEO, Kare Schultz, has been a blessing. Since taking the helm less than four years ago, Schultz has helped shave off more than $10 billion in net debt, and he's overseen the reduction of roughly $3 billion in annual operating expenses. There's more work to do to improve Teva's balance sheet, but the company is very clearly on much firmer ground than it was back in 2016-2017.
\n
Schultz also has the potential to play peacemaker for a number of outstanding lawsuits targeting Teva's role in the opioid crisis. If this litigation can be resolved with minimal cash outlay, Teva's valuation could soar. At just 4 times the company's projected earnings in 2021, Teva is about as cheap as a healthcare stock can get.
\n
\n
Bank of America
\n
Lastly, bank stock Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) has the look of a company that can be confidently bought hand over fist for the second half of 2021.
\n
For much of the past decade, the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates at or near historic lows. That's meant less in the way of interest income for banks. But the latest update from the nation's central bank suggests that interest rates could begin creeping up in 2023, a year earlier than previously forecast. Bank of America is the most interest-sensitive money-center bank. According to its first-quarter investor presentation, BofA would generate $8.3 billion in net interest income on a 100-basis-point shift in the interest rate yield curve. Translation: Bank of America's profits should rocket higher beginning in 2023-2024.
\n
At the same time, BofA has done an outstanding job of controlling its costs and improving its operating efficiency. Investments in digitization have resulted in higher mobile app and digital banking use, which is allowing the company to consolidate some of its branches. That's because the Oracle of Omaha's track record is virtually unsurpassed. Since taking the reins of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A)(NYSE:BRK.B) in the mid-1960s, Buffett's company has averaged an annual return of 20%. This works out to an aggregate gain of greater than 2,800,000% for its Class A shares.\nAlthough Buffett isn't perfect, he and his investing team have a knack for identifying attractively valued businesses that have clear competitive advantages. As we prepare to move into the second half of 2021, the following five Buffett stocks stand out as those that should be bought hand over fist.\nBerkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. Image source: The Motley Fool.\nAmazon\nEven though Buffett's investing lieutenants, Todd Combs and Ted Weschler, are the architects behind Berkshire Hathaway's stake in Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), it's arguably the Buffett stock that should be bought most aggressively ahead of the second half of the year.\nAs most folks probably know, Amazon is an e-commerce juggernaut. And it certainly doesn't hurt that Prime members tend to spend many multiples more than non-Prime shoppers during the course of the year.\nBut it's the company's cloud infrastructure service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), that has truly budded into a star. Since the operating margins associated with cloud infrastructure are considerably higher than what Amazon nets from retail and advertising, AWS' growth is leading to a surge in operating cash flow. If investors were to continue to pay the midpoint of Amazon's operating cash flow multiple over the past decade, it could hit $10,000 a share by 2025.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nBristol Myers Squibb\nPharmaceutical stocks are money machines, and none looks to be more attractive on a valuation basis than Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY).\nOne reason to be excited about this drug developer is its organic growth potential. This offers plenty of opportunity to expand Opdivo's label and pump up its pricing power.\nAnother reason Bristol Myers Squibb is such an intriguing stock is its November 2019 acquisition of cancer and immunology company Celgene. That means Bristol Myers will be rolling in the dough for another five years, at minimum.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nMastercard\nEveryone seems to be looking for the smartest recovery play from the pandemic. Payment processor Mastercard (NYSE:MA) might well be the safest way to take advantage of a steady uptick in consumer and enterprise spending.\nMastercard isn't a cheap stock by any means -- at 36 times Wall Street's forward-year earnings consensus -- but it benefits from a simple numbers game. While economic contractions and recessions are inevitable, these periods of turbulence tend to be short-lived. By comparison, economic expansions often last many years. Buying into Mastercard allows investors to take full advantage of these long periods of economic expansion and robust spending. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Mastercard has the second-highest share of credit-card network purchase volume in the U.S., the leading market for consumption.\nInvestors can also sleep easy with the understanding that Mastercard strictly sticks to payment facilitation. This is a big reason it bounces back from recessions quicker than most financial stocks.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nTeva Pharmaceutical Industries\nIf you have an appetite for turnaround plays, brand-name and generic-drug developer Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE:TEVA) is the stock to buy hand over fist for the second half of 2021. Like Amazon, it's a stock that was added to Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio by either Combs or Weschler and not Buffett.\nWhile there's no denying that Teva has its fair share of hurdles to overcome, the company's turnaround-focused CEO, Kare Schultz, has been a blessing. Since taking the helm less than four years ago, Schultz has helped shave off more than $10 billion in net debt, and he's overseen the reduction of roughly $3 billion in annual operating expenses. There's more work to do to improve Teva's balance sheet, but the company is very clearly on much firmer ground than it was back in 2016-2017.\nSchultz also has the potential to play peacemaker for a number of outstanding lawsuits targeting Teva's role in the opioid crisis. If this litigation can be resolved with minimal cash outlay, Teva's valuation could soar. At just 4 times the company's projected earnings in 2021, Teva is about as cheap as a healthcare stock can get.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nBank of America\nLastly, bank stock Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) has the look of a company that can be confidently bought hand over fist for the second half of 2021.\nFor much of the past decade, the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates at or near historic lows. Translation: Bank of America's profits should rocket higher beginning in 2023-2024.\nAt the same time, BofA has done an outstanding job of controlling its costs and improving its operating efficiency. Investments in digitization have resulted in higher mobile app and digital banking use, which is allowing the company to consolidate some of its branches. Even with its shares at a 13-year high, Bank of America has plenty left in the tank.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":36,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":123827632,"gmtCreate":1624416961526,"gmtModify":1703836039550,"author":{"id":"3584419265645155","authorId":"3584419265645155","name":"Felxfel","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6ef8ab33539158b79b6c38015226fdcf","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584419265645155","authorIdStr":"3584419265645155"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Plug Power(PLUG)$will it continue to rise today?","listText":"$Plug Power(PLUG)$will it continue to rise today?","text":"$Plug Power(PLUG)$will it continue to rise today?","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/7b140c9d89b3dc43b3ea7fca2773c616","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/123827632","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":164,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":123824861,"gmtCreate":1624416924153,"gmtModify":1703836037914,"author":{"id":"3584419265645155","authorId":"3584419265645155","name":"Felxfel","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6ef8ab33539158b79b6c38015226fdcf","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3584419265645155","authorIdStr":"3584419265645155"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$FuelCell(FCEL)$keep or sell?
